We came in with a voucher from the Sandman Signature Hotel and weren't super hungry, but Ron immediately welcomed us as soon as we sat down and helped guide us on what to order. He recommended the steak bites -- and let me just say, they did NOT disappoint. The flavor was perfect and that garlic aioli? So good. We also ordered the nachos since we had our toddler with us, and when they came out... we were shocked The portion is HUGE. Definitely shareable for multiple people, but also really delicious with fresh toppings and great flavor. What really stood out though was Ron. He was super chill, easy to talk to, and made the experience feel relaxed while still being professional and attentive. You don't always get that level of service, and it made a big difference. Me and the home boss had a wonderful meal here. We had reservations though it wasn't full for a Saturday night. Parking lot was certainly busy as it's shared with hotels on the same lot but there is enough to go around. Moxie's has a cool mod. vibe going. A huge bar with TVs dominates seating on one side while the other is more restaurant style intimate. Service was great throughout the evening with our server checking up on us multiple times. Food was great. I got steak frites done medium which was cooked right. My wife got the mahi mahi which was the better of the two dishes imo, though don't get me wrong, I enjoyed mine a lot, it was good. The topper of the evening was the sticky toffee pudding. It's been years and I was overdue for a visit to Moxies. Stopped in for a quick lunch with my mom. Service 4 STARS My waitress was nice and friendly. She grew on me after speaking to her. I wasn't sure how service was going to go. It ended up being good. She just had to warm up! Ambiance 4 STARS It was clean and comfortable. The booth was big and cozy. The holiday decor was nice. It was pleasant and peaceful. It wasn't too busy and I like that. Especially since I wanted a chill lunch vibe. Food 3.5 STARS The Chicken Madeira Rigatoni was good. The presentation was interesting. The cheese was super big. This dish wasn't as good as I remembered. The sauce seemed a bit watery. However, it was still very tasty. The chicken was a bit bland. The Mango Chicken dish was presented nicely. It had many components. The chicken was grilled to perfection. The broccolini was fantastic. It was seasoned well. The carrots were flavorful. I subbed out the quinoa for mashed potatoes. The dish was just so HEALTHY tasting, Nothing is wrong with healthy because that's how I always eat. But this was lacking in flavor overall. The mango purée was like baby food. I asked for the mango pico and it was a shining star. It made the dish taste better. Overall the visit went well. It was nice to finally visit Moxies. Celebrated a family birthday here with delicious food and excellent service from Jasmine. I don't usually order appetizers for my meal but the Cashew Chicken Lettuce Wraps sounded so good. We enjoyed a quiet early dinner midweek at 5:30 pm for two adults. Hearty portions and fresh, fairly fast food because it was not busy yet. The Loaded burger was so tall that cutting it in half was needed to try to take a bite. The side of fries that came with it was enough for two people. We had seen the photos of the chicken lettuce wraps and knew it was a larger size order so I ordered it as an entree. The chicken pieces made it heartier. A refreshing lower carb option. We were a bit surprised that happy hour ends at 5 pm and picks up again at 9 pm. However they did have half price on bottled wine as a special that day of the week if you like wine. The separate bar area had lots of big screen tvs to watch sports but was separate from the dining room for those who wanted a quieter setting and comfortable sized round booths for larger groups. I've been here two times and I liked both visits. First time was for a company happy hour and I enjoyed all the food that we ordered so I took my family out here. Again we enjoyed all the food. Once apps were ordered, drinks hadn't arrived yet. When I physically flagged server down, she seemed surprised we were even there. My food arrived without protein; my friend's soup didn't have a spoon (which never came). What a disappointing experience. For our trouble, dessert was written off but our drinks were never refreshed and protein was added to my uneaten entree to be taken home. I haven't checked it yet. I'll be honest, I've been to the location in Southlake and it has never been my favorite, but I've had friends want to meet for dinner and espresso martinis a few times, so you can't argue with a group decision lol. So when another couple asked to try this location, I was hesitant, but omg was it so much better! Maybe it was the different moody vibe or the servers knowing what to recommend, but this experience was great! My husband and I shared the steak frites and the Mahi Mahi and they were absolutely incredible! I've never had Mahi Mahi before but I was blown away and my husband said it was one of the best he's had. Every bite left us wanting more and we've excited to back and see what else they recommend. The only ehh from the night was that one of our friends had a tap beer that was just not very good, but we couldn't figure out why. We went weekday after 6pm on hot summer day so plenty of parking in shade at hotel next door. We made reservation but that wouldn't have mattered as not crowded at all. I had been wanting to try Moxie's for awhile. We stopped in for dinner on a Friday evening. First impression, it is a lovely and cozy restaurant with an upscale vibe. Honestly, I thought it was going to be more of sports bar. So, I was pleasantly surprised! We were seated in a large booth by the bar and quickly greeted by our server. My husband loved having Stella on tap and I started with a specialty margarita off of their winter menu. The drink was topped with a floating orchid. So it hit the high notes by being both pretty and tasty! Their menu is eclectic and I ordered the chicken madeira rigatoni which was their version of chicken marsala and was exceptionally executed! My husband had the French dip on a pretzel bun with a side of fries and was equally pleased with his dinner. After our entrees, we had a hankering for something sweet and reviewed the dessert menu. I went to the ladies room and there was ZERO TOILET-PAPER. My fault because I didn't check before going into the stahl. Luckily, some ladies were there to grab me a roll. The food was good but I felt rushed to make a decision. I reordered a second glass of wine and it never came. My husband wanted and Apple Martini and they didn't have all of the ingredients. Based on all the good reviews, I wonder if I caught them on an off day. The food was very mediocre to me; not one thing had a wow factor. The pot stickers were way too salty (think too much soy sauce), the Brussel sprouts were super salty and a bit overcooked, the cheese nachos were dry and bland (good portion, though), and the ramen was returned. And this is supposed to be for a child. chicken lettuce wrap thing- you can tell someone is not a professional chef prepared this dish. When you prepare food for a lettuce wrap the size of the bites Has to be just right in order for you to make it work. I wish I took a photo of how big each chuck the chicken bell peppers and onions!!!! It's like a child made this. Caesar salad: OK The food took forever to come out. Like 40 mins. Then they told us we didn't have the right pasta for the kids meal after waiting 30 mins. I felt so bad for my friend. We ordered something else since the spicy tuna Roll was so bad.
