Loved this place! It gives off speak easy vibes with steak house quality food. They variety of alcohol and cocktails is a bit overwhelming but our serve gave us great. I had the ribeye and the butter they put on top was the perfect touch. We also got the Mac & cheese with chorizo corn. Live music and live performers was a nice touch to go with the dinner. We ended up going over the cigar lounge and have a cigar and one more drink. Our server was great in helping us making some decision.

Our server, Grace, was very low-key yet very good recommendations! My wife's Old Fashioned was smooth and one of the best she's had! I enjoyed the UnBendt Flight. Wagyu beef bits and Charcuterie for main course. Wagyu melted in the mouth. Valet parking. Very enjoyable, quaint, cozy bar with live music. Gave wife complimentary cotton candy bowl which was fun!

The Monarch Stag is a beautiful bar! I loved how well the interior was decorated. They had a few lounge chairs and booths. We walked in around ~9:30/10 pm on Friday and there was a live country music performance. After the live music set was over, we had the same woman that perfumed the aerial hoop from the Glen (next door) pop over to do a few sets. The service was quick, and the waitress came around often enough, but did not feel hovered. Since we had dinner next door (The Glen), we didn't order food, just drinks and dessert. The menu looked the same as the Glen. The churros were delicious! I'd order them again!

Monarch Stag truly stands out with its perfectly balanced Old Fashioned. Most places I've been to have the wrong ratio, but MS nailed it. Additionally, the inclusion of a cozy cigar lounge adds to the overall experience, making it an ideal place to unwind after a long day of work. Although parking proved to be a slight inconvenience, it's important to note that this is beyond Monarch's control. Braden, our bartender, took excellent care of us and recommended what to order. Overall, I'll be back to visit Monarch Stag to try more of their cocktails. Also, if you're a whiskey person, you won't be disappointed with the wide variety of selections Monarch offers.

Great cocktail bar! Cozy yet elegant! They had live music and dancer/fire show. The service was good for how busy it was. Recommend the flirt bird cocktail, foam on top was so good!

This place was really nice! Ambience: even though its a small space, the decorated it well! There is live music on most days and they play requests too. Drinks: we got the santa bourbon drink which was warm and different. The okd fashioned was good too! Service: they were fast and nice

You have to make reservations to Monarch Stag because there are only seven tables and a small bar. Come on Fridays or Saturdays for the live band and aerial performance and any day for the wonderful service. The food was decent and the drinks were wonderful. The Ceviche and Fries were good but the Paella and Brussels Sprouts were disappointing. I forgot the drinks we had but both were delicious (possibly the Desperate Housewife). Also, the original Old Fashioned looked stellar as it came with a cool presentation. The best part of the meal was the Creme Brulee. More specifically, the best part of the meal was the Peach on the Creme Brulee. I wish the peach alone was a dessert accompanied with some ice cream and it would have been fabulous. It has a humidor so you can purchase a cigar and smoke it there. I didn't check out The Glen next door, but apparently, it's a pretty sweet bar.

I made reservations for a late Thursday night dinner and I will say they had a full house at 9pm for I definitely recommend making reservations. Monarch Stag is a very intimate lounge. There is a bar, cigar lounge, a few round booths and a couple small tables. Tables are spread out, allowing you to enjoy private conversations. I loved how dim the lounge was because it gave such a sexy atmosphere. There are lamps on your table to turn on in order to see menu which was a huge plus. There was also someone singing nice jazz songs and took requests. There is only 2 servers which is more than enough for how small the lounge is but I did feel like they could move a little quicker. You can tell that they have their regulars that they spent more time with and gave more attention to, because I had to flagged the manager down to inform him that I was ready to order then my waitress came back apologizing (because we were sitting for almost 25min waiting to place even a drink order). That's the only reason they were not 5stars. Food is pricey but I expect that for that location in Frisco and because of the type of vibe/ambiance (high end) the lounge is. I ordered a dozen oysters, wagyu bites and crab cakes. The crab cakes were my favorite but everything was good. The crab cakes had a good portion of crab and not a lot of breading and the sauce that came with them were fantastic. The wagyu bites came on a sizzling hot plate with 3 different sauces for dipping. The wagyu literally melted in my mouth, I just wish it was seasoned more but I get it was a little bland because you're suppose to use the sauces (which all 3 were really good). Oysters were very fresh. Also ordered a bottle of wine and it was fantastic also it was cheaper to just buy a bottle rather than ordering 2-3 beverages so keep that in mind. I will most definitely come back...but be aware the lounge is FREEZING! Please bring a jacket or sweater with you.

Love love love this place!! We are fans of J Theodore and rare books so we knew we had to try the glen, and we have reservations in a few weeks at monarch stagg. Seating area is small, I don't suggest coming with more than 6 people unless you're okay with sitting at multiple tables. The drinks were great! Food was delicious! Our server was very attentive and had great recommendations on what to order! Prices are high but I wouldn't expect anything cheap at the star.

Food was good but steak bites were a little skimpy. 3 good dipping sauce choices. Cigar room was cold. Bartender was excellent!

Our server, Jayden, was the highlight of the evening even considering a very high bar set by the cocktails and food. He was friendly, efficient and just the right amount of care. He went out of his way to make sure our evening was a pleasant one. I found the cocktail and food prices to be very much in line! If I lived in Dallas I would be a regular there and would certainly ask to seated with Jayden every time!

Walk in via J Theodore, the ohone booth is to the left. It's a cool novelty calling with a book name to enter via the book shelf. Once inside the speak easy area there were two seating options. The Library which is set away from the open lounge area and quieter or the lounge area with the bar. They would not let us pick our spot despite seating being available. We opted for the lounge area as the seat offered to us there was better to our preference. The tables are packed quiet tightly which i dont like personally but i get it. That tidbit aside it is definitely a cool environment. Service was really nice and the food we ordered was great. I presume it's the same menu as J Theodore so I'm going to have to try that now for a more restaurant style meal. This is a cool place to hang out and bring friends imo. Since we don't really drink we'll probably end up at the restaurant next time as it's not easy to eat on tiny tables. It's a bar/lounge after all.

We had reservations but there was no major crowd at 5:30. The place is contemporary, white tiles, brass finishes. Fully stocked bar. Nice big windows. Started with a Rail District cocktail that was really good. Finished with a Last Word which had a strong licorice flavor (not my fav) but the cherry at the bottom was great! We split the SPREADABLE WHIPPED LEMON BASIL GOAT CHEESE. Loved this. But note to the Chef or food prep - the toast crackers had so many holes in the bread, there was NO surface for the spreadable. Pieces of toast were basically outer crust and the inner area of bread had 90% giant holes. It was comical. Whoever plated this should have been more selective. My wife had the Salmon and I had the steak. The steak had a large pad of delicious blue cheese and butter on top of it, that slowly melted over the steak and potatoes. That was special. Endive salad was pretty dry, very little dressing. So I mixed it in with the potatoes and cheese/butter.

We started with the buffalo deviled eggs, which were honestly a standout--creamy with just the right amount of kick and a fun twist on a classic. I also ordered a salad that had candied pecans, apples, and grapes, topped with chicken that was cooked absolutely perfectly--so tender and flavorful. It's one of those dishes that feels light but still really satisfying. The ambience is what really makes this place special. It's super cute and thoughtfully designed--fun wallpaper, cozy green sofas, and really stylish light fixtures that give it a warm, inviting vibe. You can tell a lot of intention went into the space. We had the chance to meet the owner, Amy, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming--it's always a good sign when the owner is that engaged. Our server was also fantastic--very attentive, kind, and made sure we were well taken care of the whole time. Location-wise, it's just off Main Street, kind of tucked away to the side, which makes it feel like a hidden gem. There's a great view, plus both indoor and outdoor seating, and the water tower right there adds a really charming touch. Since it's newly opened, I'm really hoping they do well--this place deserves it. I also heard they'll be expanding into the suite next door, which is exciting. I took a peek at their dinner and brunch menus, and I'll definitely be back to check those out soon. Such a cute spot with great food, great people, and a great vibe.

It is a very cute restaurant and the ambiance is very calm. Chicken parm: This dish was alright. There is a lot of cheese on the dish which can be overpowering. The marinara sauce is very light which I enjoy. They were out of pasta so I did not get the full experience with this dish. Moreover, I still had to pay full price even though half my dish was missing. Burger: The burger is great! It is extremely juicy and I loved the thousand island dressing on it. It is a great portion and tons of flavor. I loved getting truffle fries on the side with this burger! It came with a huge seasoned pickle on the side which was too sour for me.
