My wife and I absolutely love this place. All the servers and bartenders are so friendly. We've been here for brunch, dinner and primarily to just chill and drink. It's a dog friendly establishment that allows yo to get the nightlife fun without driving outside of prosper. I've only seen smiling facing and kind people working here. Cheap prices, good food and good drinks. A big plus here is miller highlife on draft. Rarely do you see that. 10/10 would recommend. I'll continue to come here every weekend! read more

I came here twice this week just experimenting with bars in my neighborhood. Wednesday I came and the drinks were nice but I think I may have gotten food too late. The bartender mentioned it was okay to put in food. I ordered fried wings and they came out pink, I took them to go and had to airfry the wings to the correct temperature. I went back the next day and got pizza but it felt like I was eating oil. I didn't want to complain but I felt a review was needed regarding the quality of the food. The drinks were great! But if the food matched the drinks, yall could really do numbers because the drinks and the service is there! read more

It's as close to a dive bar as we get in Prosper. It was loud and packed. Good people watching for sure. But WOW their food is LEGIT. One of the best smash burgers in town. If you've ever been to a dive bar for a delicious, greasy burger...this is it. Tasted like the grill it's cooked in was old and we'll seasoned. I had the charcuterie sandwich and it was literally one of the top 3 restaurant sandwiches I've ever had. And we're picky foodies. We both had sides of fries which are lightly breaded and crispy. I ate The Tavern last Thursday with friends I was visiting. We ordered a Dos Equis and 2 Heinekens and 2 Hors d'oeuvres. A second round of Heinekens was ordered. When the bill came there was a price difference between the 2 rounds of Heinekens. The server had no explanation for the discrepancy but said he would check. He did not offer any reason but did offer a courtesy discount that was more that the price difference. The food was good and I would return but will check the bill. Hardly a seat in the house and definitely not at the bar-top and we are bar-top people. But we found a table anyway and got ourselves some of that beer. Still in soft-opening, but really impressed! Great "neighborhood-bar" vibe that is needed in this area. It's not pretentious, and the service is great. Worst service, that was possibly racist. A friend and I went over to try this place out since we were in the area. We went in and even though the bartender (older male 50+, had a haircut with shaved sides and almost a mullet top, and lots of tats) was right in front of us, we were not acknowledged until her was done taking to the two ladies at the corner. I understand it's a service job, but it felt like if you wanted service, you had to be female and wearing a tight top. After he was done flirting he finally asked if we wanted a drink, acting as if we had disrupted his State of the Union with our one-drink each order. I asked him about a beer and when I ordered a margarita (it was a "special" for $7) he rolled his eyes like he had just made a five-course dinner and I wanted to change my order. As my friend was asking about the old fashions the bartender literally started drumming his fingers on the pour station! Talk about rude! For working in the service industry if you feel it's too much trouble to answer a question about a drink, maybe you should rethink your current job. I can say he had the worst demeanor out of all the bartenders I have had in DFW, even the bartenders at Twin Peaks and hotels were much more professional than this guy. The old fashion was pre-made, talk about garbage, and the margarita came in a solo plastic cup! This was a $7 margarita, that was a special and not cheap, and you pour it in a disposable cup! . It was a Monday, not a party night, so at least step-up your presentation game and at least use a plastic tumbler! It was their "karaoke" night and it was so bad that only the MC/DJ was singing so even the vibe was awful. I can't blame the guy for trying, but it was really sad. The only other time the bartender checked was when we grabbed his attention to close-out. I understand he's running food but the place was not packed and there was a waitress working, she was actually nice when we asked to close-out with her since the bartender was socializing with smithers group on the opposite side of the bar. Finally he came back and we couldn't wait to GTFO of there. One thing we felt was that since we were the only non-whites in the bar, it felt the service was dismissive, perhaps racist. Scrolling through the reviews it shows their main clientele, mostly white with very few minorities. Just based on us being ignored, lack of respectful service, and how other clientele had better service, the evidence suggests it. We went to two other places after this place and spent about $200, that's money that I'm glad we didn't spend at this bar. read more

Food was absolutely outstanding. Service was excellent. Friendly, neighborhood bar and restaurant. All the vibes of a bar, but the food stands up on its own. The chicken sandwich was brined and hand breaded, definitely didn't fit on the bun and was juicy with the right amount of spice. Burgers were great and the fries had the perfect crunch, hot and tasty. The jalapeño dip took a minute to come out - I can only assume because it's made to order. Certainly tasted that way. And, because we are gluttons, we had the fried onions and jalapeños. Not just any regular breaded onions and japs, but fresh jalepenos fried just enough and the onions were not strings, but like you just took them off a blooming onion yourself. My daughter took me here on Valentine's evening. I had a burger with fries. It was very good, but I forget to say to substitute the mayonnaise for mustard. Burger was still good. My daughter had a Caesar salad. She also had wings with carrots, celery and ranch dressing. I also had a coconut margarita which was good. My daughter had some kind lemonade drink with liquor. We took a club sandwich and fries home to my husband which was very tasty. Que gave us very good service. It is a very noisy place and has pool and other games. Don't plan on trying to carry in a conversation here. My daughter wants to return here with her husband. Came here with a friend for lunch on Friday. Pros: -Parking isn't an issue -Beautiful patio porch that's attached to the bar. Great place to sit on a sunny day. Cons: -We ordered a BLT and Smashburger. The BLT has 3 strips of bacon, sandwiched in between 2 thick pieces of Texas toast. All I could taste was bread. The meat:bread ratio was totally off. I essentially paid $12 for 2 pieces of toast. -Service is really slow. Looked like there was only 1 waitress working the entire restaurant. I won't be coming back. I didn't think the ambiance was anything special and the food quality wasn't great, so there's really no reason to revisit. read more

We've been by twice and same bartender has yet to introduce herself. No one greets you on the way in or thanks you for spending your hard earned $$$ on the way out. Bartender served us drinks in a red solo cup. Odd at $8.50 a pop - when glassware is all around. On the first trip we got what we wanted, on the second trip they were out of everything except what the rep is sticking them with. We'll wait a month, order food next time and update this review. First off, the tostada nachos were pretty flavorful, crispy and an overall good sized appetizer. the beers were cold, and our service was great. I ordered a Friday Special-the fried catfish with hush puppies and I have to say it was the worst catfish and hush puppies I've ever had in my life, and I was born and raised by the Mississippi River, so I know good fried catfish. This fish was totally tasteless besides the cornmeal, I mean, it didn't even have a smell! . The hush puppies were tasteless too, but not even a cornmeal taste. This place is THE BEST! We came in for brunch which they just started last week according to staff. Hands down best brunch, we ordered chicken fried chicken and breakfast tacos-perfect to go with our mimosa and beer. TVs everywhere-unobstructed views to at least 1 if not 2 or 3 TVs from every seat. Opening week and I was very impressed! Opening week can come with lots of issues, but I didn't see any! It was pretty popular for a Wednesday night but the service was fast and very friendly. We knew sitting outside would be a little dicey and of course it was. Sat there, sat there, sat there and no one waited on us. Servers coming and going and the bartenders making eye contact with us and really couldn't care less. The same thing happened to another family and they, like us, had to get up and go get help, otherwise I guess we would still be there waiting on a server. Thankfully the hostess stepped up to the plate and became our server and was great. This was our third time here and the first time we have sat outside and first time we have had an issue. I would train your folks to always be on the lookout for people walking in and not being served, we almost walked out. I have never understood this. It's so easy. "Hey folks, I know you have been sitting here a while, someone will be with you shortly", we will be back as we are in that area 2-3 times a week, but it's also easy to walk down the street and go elsewhere.
