Only the 2nd time stopping into The Colony location for The Rowdy Cowboy. First time spending substantial time enjoying the atmosphere and the service. I chose a great day to visit due to the fact it's opening day for the World Cup. The Colony location provided a great atmosphere and opportunity to cheer on Mexico defeating South Africa 2-0. The crowd definitely heavily favored Mexico. The place was packed a testimony to the quality service you will receive there. My server was Madelynn and she couldn't have been better. I wanted to get in early to get a spot since I'm visiting from Florida. I wasn't sure how quickly it would fill up. Madelynn was exceptional and very attentive. She made great recommendations and told me about their Dos Equis contest. I drank a few to help out her sales. I never had to ask for anything and her menu knowledge was great. This is the second location in North Texas, and while the service was similar as the OG in Grapevine, it's not as great of an experience. My Overall Rating - 2 1/2 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food); 5 Stars if all you care about is the service. Atmosphere - The design is almost identical to the OG location in Grapevine. There's a large bar in the middle of the restaurant (sit here for the best service). There's even a lit "SADDLE UP" sign on the wall. But The Colony location didn't seem to be as packed as Grapevine, but it was still full of good vibes. 1 Star Service - The service at Rowdy Cowboy is legendary. If you (or a good friend) have chosen to eat here, then you know the service is amazing. If you sit at the bar, your bartender is your server. I've sat at the bar and at a table, and IMO the service at the bar is the best. 1 Star. Food - On this visit, I decided to order the daily special "Medallion Mondays". The description was a steak medallion with sides. Unfortunately, it was a very small portion. Now, it was perfectly grilled and very tender, it was just small. It wasn't enough to satisfy me, so I ordered ice cream for dessert. Thank goodness, this saved my lunch, because the simple vanilla ice cream was served with fried cinnamon chips that would make the State Fair of Texas vendors nervous. 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - No. Rowdy Cowboy in The Colony is like 2/3rds of the OG. 2/3 the atmosphere, 2/3 the service, 2/3 the portion sides, etc. I'd rather go back to the Grapevine location. read more

The information and reviews for this establishment did not include this is a blue collar sports bar with scantly clad waitresses. It simply stated 4.7 stars and good food. Being from out of town and making a quick day trip into Dallas we had no idea what it is ... lol The atmosphere is a sports bar vibe with college aged girls in basically string bikinis serving drinks and bar food. The food wasn't 4.7 stars. Maybe 1.2 stars at most but we all know why the ratings are 4.7. We ordered a burger and 3 brisket/queso baked potatoes. The burger was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. The cheese on the burger was fried. As for the baked potato ... the brisket wasn't great but it being smothered in queso cheese helped it tremendously. I'll just say, men don't eat here for the food. read more

After a rainy commute to this area, we found ourselves checking in to RC. I believe they are one of the newer places here right by Top Golf. We have been to the Grapevine location and thought we might as well check this one out. Nothing different from the other location. Food is decent for what is Rowdy Cowboy known for but I still can't get over how the beers are expensive even for domestic. Surprisingly, the star of the show is not our server but the croissant beignets. It's one of the good ones we had outside of New Orleans. Not great but good. Would I comeback? Probably not unless someone else is paying for it :p read more

We were in the area so we decided to stop in for a late lunch and a beer since this is one of the newer places here in The Colony. We had their naked, hot wings, side of fries, burnt ends jalapeños and beignet croissants to end it. Service at this type of places can be lacking, sufficient, or sometimes overwhelming but we received a fairly attentive but not over barring service. The ambiance is your typical breastuarant establishments with fairly decent food. The wings were a little on the dry side so maybe next time will ask for extra sauce. read more

Pretty impressed with rowdy cowboy especially with the food! Upon entry we had such a friendly welcome of a tall cowboy. He showed us to the host and we were seated. They offer high top seating along the bar & high top seated tables. Actually pretty family friendly. Tvs everywhere! Games, like which one you wanna watch? You have options! Service is pretty good! If the server is busy, there are food runners and bussers to help assist them. So be fucking nice ( most are all kids trying there best)! They just opened couple weeks ago! Food is surprisingly really good! Half a dozen lemon pepper wings (breaded) wow flavor out of this world! Also crunchy like Korean fried chicken! Buffalo cheese dip was good. The porkchop platter was impressive. It's cooked in butter and prepped pretty well. Overall whomever the chef/cook is they're doing great! Butter cake wowwww, I gotta go back for the apple crumble. I have heard about the Rowdy Cowboy for a while but never got the chance to check one out until last week. This review will only cover the bar since I just stopped in to check it out and have a beer or two. The parking lot was packed. Barely found a spot on a Thursday evening at 5pm. The bar was just as packed but as a single I found a spot. The service was impeccable in multiple ways. The beer was cold. The tvs were blaring sports and the place was packed. Most likely a great place to watch games on the weekends. Next time I will stay to try the food. read more

The service that Madelynn provides is excellent and she always has a smile on her face and strives for excellence while on shift. Madelynn knows how to brighten the tables up from cracking jokes to even scaring them a little just but sneaking up to them, but it does make people laugh and that's what you need when you go out. Is a good laugh. Even when she gets busy she takes the time to see if you need anything or just to check in. If are in need of food or a beverage she will make sure that you get in a timely manner. Along with her service I would say the food here is pretty good especially for the price.
