Plenty of parking and seating available on the Sunday we went. The bar area and dining area is spacious with lots of natural light. The bar top is made with inset rocks with a clear finish. The brewery is visible from the dining area. We tried a couple of beers and a pizza; everything was delicious. Our server was friendly and efficient! Grand opening today so there are still a few issues to work out. The beer is already on point. All 6 I tried were excellent with the Grodziskie being the standout to me. The food showed lots of promise, too. Our hotel was super close so we walked over. It had very few guests for a Saturday evening. The bartender greeted us upon entering and he brought us waters. He was very nice. The waitress dropped off menus and then disappeared for more than 10 minutes. The bartender dropped our pizza off and it came in a short time. It wasn't bad but nothing I would brag about. We did not receive drink refills and didn't see our waitress until we asked for our check. I was disappointed because it looked like a nice place we could bring friends back to. I really want to see this place succeed--it has potential, but a few important areas need attention. This is a brewery, and it should feel like a fun, energetic happy hour hangout--but the vibe is surprisingly low energy. It's quiet and lacks the buzz you'd expect. Some music, livelier lighting, or general ambiance could make a huge difference in creating the atmosphere people are looking for in a local brewery. The staff was kind, but the servers didn't seem to know the menu or what was available. For a brewery, staff should know the beers well and be able to recommend or describe what's on tap. The food also missed the mark. The blue cheese dressing was very watered down, and the chicken strips were rubbery. With so many fabulous, well-established places nearby, this spot really needs to step up both its food and service to stay competitive. Lastly, marketing and visibility are big issues--it's hard to tell if the place is even open. There's no buzz, no clear signage, and minimal presence online. They need to put the word out with social media, events, or promotions to draw people in. This place could be a great neighborhood go-to, but it needs more energy, better food consistency, confident service, and a much stronger push to get noticed. I'm in town for the night so I walked over to this place. Great environment, tvs everywhere, huge bar and plenty of seating. They have over 23 beers on tap. I told the bartender what I liked and he had me try one on tab. I opted for it and it was really good; served in a cold mug. I ordered a pizza and side salad, both were great. Pizza is made from fresh dough and cooked in a wood burning oven. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, very attentive service. They told me they haven't been open long, I hope the the community comes and gives them a try, I don't think they'll be disappointed. read more

My husband and I went to Balanced Rock Brewing this morning for the first time. We weren't aware it was a Brunch menu until 3:00PM. There wasn't anything on the menu for me. I spoke with our waitress, Joslyn (Sp?) and she said she would check with the chef about doing one of their Cobb salads. The chef came to our table and said he would do it for me as it was our first time and we didn't know. His name was Antonio. Both he and Joslyn were the best. Fabulous customer service. Just ok for me...we did not have alcohol, soft drinks were flat, water not great. Good flavor on Bbq wings. Pizza had a good flavor, we have "custom" pepperoni and mushroom/pepperoni and sausage. They opened recently and will continue to add to their food and beer offerings up to their grand opening in June. Our lunch was delicious! My husband got a wood fired pizza and I got a club sandwich with fries. I tried a flight of beer and my husband had a couple different beers. The service was great. They asked what we thought about everything we got and checked in on us frequently. The inside has table and bar seating and you can see into the area where they brew the beer. The interior and location are the only positive things to say about this place. The service was sub par at best. The wine was not chilled and the beer was mid. The biggest problem was the food, we got the tenders and panini. Both were terrible. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The panini had next to no flavor. The seasoning on the fries was okay but the fries themselves were beyond soft. The ranch tasted like hidden valley and the honey mustard might as well have been Heinz yellow mustard. Overpriced food for stuff we couldn't even finish. Safe to say we will not return. read more

I have been waiting a long time to see 'OPEN' on the digital sign out front. Driving by daily, only to see a blank digital sign or then a 'now hiring' .. But 3 days ago I got my wish, it said OPEN and man, it was worth the wait! I tried several of these brews on day 1, and was very pleased with them, but my big standout was their West Coast IPA. Orange notes, not bitter or overly hoppy. It became my "go to" beer on the second day when I went for lunch. I had chicken tenders tossed in buffalo sauce, served with fries. 3 ample sized tenders, very juicy and well sauced. Can't wait to try the other menu items. Plenty of TVs for sports and a great view of the actually brewery with two huge beautiful copper kettles up front. The last thing is the service, it gets 5 stars from me, they are happy and ready and excited to answer questions about any of the beers and are very attentive. I like this place.. A LOT read more
