We've been there several times. So far everything on the menu has been GREAT except the burger which was mediocre at best. First time there service was OK, but it's gotten MUCH better the last two times. They've been very willing to please. It's not perfect but it's worth a visit to see if you like their menu. It's also got a nice, chill vibe and it's not super busy so you never feel rushed. Fish & Chips: Fish is A++. Chips are B+ Chicken Scallopini is A++ (had it three times already) Fire Honey Bites are A+ (ask for the sauce to be made a little spicy!!!) Classic Smash is B- (but the price is very low, so it's not a bad deal). Might be good choice for child who doesn't want a fancy burger. read more

We tried Red's on Main tonight. Service was bad and so slow. Our waitress took our drink orders then we waited and waited and waited to order - 20 minutes. I finally waved her to our table to get her to come take our order. My husband order an old fashion. For the $6 happy hour it was decent. I ordered a margarita on the rocks, it had no flavor. I'm not sure how you even accomplish that but it was bad. We order picanha potstickers. They came out with no chimichurri sauce. We were told they were out of the sauce. Make more? It's Friday night. The dish itself was not good. I don't recommend. For our meal we tried to order the Greek street panini. We were told they were out. Okay we will try the classic smash. Hour later we finally received our food. The fries were cold the burger was greasy. The restaurant wasn't busy. Not surprisingly given our experience though we were a little surprised given the reviews. There were three servers, more than enough for the tables. Our waitress was slow, and never checked on us. Red's on Main was an absolute home run! We stopped in for lunch and decided to share the Crispy Chicken Hot Honey Panini and the Irish Nachos. Both were outstanding but that Crispy Chicken Panini, oh my! I'm usually not a huge fan of the hot honey chicken trend, but this sandwich completely changed my mind. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the chicken was crispy, and every bite was fantastic. The Irish Nachos were delicious and more than enough for sharing. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between energetic and relaxed. The music was upbeat without being overwhelming, and the entire restaurant had a welcoming, comfortable vibe that made us want to stay awhile. What really elevated the experience, though, was the service. Our waiter was friendly, funny, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing. He took his time with us, made great conversation, and helped create an experience that felt personal rather than rushed. The food was excellent, the prices were fair, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the service was exceptional. It's not often that all four come together so well, but Red's on Main absolutely delivered. I'm already planning our next lunch and I'll be getting my own Crispy Chicken Hot Honey Panini! read more

Frisco TX - Main and Teel. Went to lunch with my daughter and we had a great meal. Very open and inviting concept, seat yourself and Lexi greeted us with a big smile. She was very fun and took great care of us. We shared the fish and chips cooked with a crispy well seasoned batter, the fries are fresh and thick a surprise treat on the side was the mushy peas which I don't often eat or order. A Caesar salad was included very fresh lettuce and an outstanding dressing topped with shaved Parmesan cheese and croutons. The vibe is open and inviting large TVs on the wall and a nice inviting bar. Oh and it $6 Tito's all day every Tuesday - nice touch. Happy hour is 3-6 each day. Lots of different t items to try - they are famous for their smash burgers - that's next on my list. Thanks again to Lexi for menu knowledge suggestions and overall great service. Things to know: 1. It is a little hard to spot. It is in the far right unit of the long string of stores at the back of this center, facing Main Street. 2. This is more than a smash burger place. The menu is divided in thirds. One third for small plates, one third for entree's, and one third for smash burgers. 3. They offered bread pudding with a red wine reduction sauce when we were there. Tried this tonight - very mediocre. My salmon bowl was tasty, and my son's ravioli good (a plus we could order it without the truffle sauce). But the steak frite came out overcooked and didn't come with the chimichurri sauce (they didn't tell us they were out of it... or we wouldn't have ordered this). we never got our side salads that come with the meal. Although friendly, the Service was very slow. I think they were understaffed and overwhelmed. Also overpriced. Not sure we will be back. read more

This place will not last. We love supporting local businesses but the service was so terrible. After seating ourselves we waited quite a while and a sweet young man was trying to figure out who would be taking care of us. He eventually said "well I'll be taking care of you tonight! The other waitresses are busy." Clearly no organization. The table behind us stayed dirty almost our entire visit. The food took forever. Everything was just very slow for "ok" food. New place in Frisco in the old Maple Street. Same set up instead but you do not order at the counter and you seat yourself and they come to you with the menus. We had a large group and were able to call ahead and they set up 2 tables for us. While we were eatting, the chef "Chefy" went around to greet everyone. They have a very large menu and something for everyone. The test kitchen section of the item says it comes with a Caesar salad but we did receive it with the items we ordered- chicken fried steak, fish & chips, ravioli or salmon bowl. So I am not sure if any items get the salad with their meal in that section of the menu. The potsticker appetizer was wonderful with lots of flavor. The fish fingers for the kids meal were a good portion w/ 2 large pieces of fish. The fish & chips meal itself is one huge piece of fresh cod. I've read a lot of reviews regarding this place and we decided to try it a few weeks ago. First, its a seat yourself joint. Okay, no issues there, however, due to it being very busy, we waited almost 25 minutes for someone to come and ask for our drink order. During our visit, they seemed to be short staffed, not a good start. Once we got our drinks and orders in, it got a little better. But not by much. The food was okay, I got the wings, the others got burgers. The wings were pretty good, and the burgers received no complaints. The truffle fries were strong and though I liked them, the rest of the table, not so much. My opinion, it needs a hostess, assigned tables and more wait staff. The ambiance was okay, just too small and the kitchen is way too small for that amount of diners. read more

First time to Red's on main tonight. I got the Pepper Smash Burger and beef tallow fries and wow.... As I'm taking this thing down I'm thinking this is one of the best burgers I've ever had. And yea of course anyone you tell this to would say well it's not as good as In n Out and I'd say listen go have the pepper smash burger at Red's on main and you tell me what you think. It's a really good burger. Also don't sleep on the beef tallow fries. This is a serious plus. Cooking the fries in beef tallow is expensive and the fact that they care enough to do it is a huge plus that should be appreciated. First they are delicious and second they are way better for you than the seed oils that most restaurants use who don't care about customers and flavor. Last thing I'd add is it was a pleasant surprise that there was live music on Friday night. The musician was great and the overall volume and atmosphere were perfect. My son and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time, hoping to discover a new place we might enjoy. Unfortunately, the experience started off on a very negative note due to the service. When we walked in, we chose a table toward the back of the restaurant so we wouldn't be sitting right by the open overhead doors. The table only needed to be wiped down -- there were no dishes on it, just a little water. The waitress came over with spray and a cloth and immediately said, "You picked the only dirty table in the restaurant," in a tone that felt unnecessarily rude. She then asked what we wanted to drink. I asked if they had sweet tea, and her response was simply "No," again in a very dismissive and unfriendly way. The interaction was so uncomfortable that my son and I looked at each other and realized the experience had already been soured before we even ordered. Because of that, we decided to leave without trying the food. It's unfortunate, because we were genuinely looking forward to giving this place a chance, but first impressions and basic courtesy matter when it comes to customer service. read more

My wife and I just tried Red's in Main for the first time, and we're very impressed! We came here based on the reviews and food photos and found that both the vibe of the restaurant as well as the food were both excellent! She did the Salmon Nocoise which was cooked perfectly and I did the Greek Bowl which was super flavorful. All the ingredients were very fresh and the food quality really showed through. We also enjoyed a couple glasses of wine to accompany the meals. The staff were all extremely friendly and it is just a really quality place to enjoy a few glasses of wine and a delicious meal. The service was terrible! We had to remind the waitress we were even there. Food took forever! The waitress was pleasant when she could pull herself away from her phone. I asked for the focaccia app. It was described as focaccia bread with a pesto dipping sauce. The focaccia was greasy toasted white bread and the sauce was made table side for some unknown reason and was olive oil, basil, and enough garlic to kill a hundred vampires. It was inedible. The smell was so bad I had the waitress take it away. Then my panini came. It was made with the same gross bread and no pesto, just mayo. I didn't even eat half of it. The side was shredded lettuce and a weird dressing that wasn't bad. The best I can say is that the produce seemed fresh. We won't be back. read more

Well, I had read some reviews and was looking forward to trying Red's. I was expecting it to be very crowded on a Saturday evening . It wasn't. There were 2-3 tables with guests and several tables which had not been cleared off. Meanwhile a waitstaff person sat at the bar eating. My shoestring burger. Nothing special and way too may grilled onions. Bun was not anything interesting. Just blah. My guest had a fried chicken breast with a bad Ber Blanc sauce and a huge salad. Nothing special. The only item which was good were the french fries, fried in beef tallow. They were full of flavor. Our server didn't know the menu at all which tells me the owners know nothing about running a restaurant. They have truffle oil on several items, trying to be upscale but it doesn't work here. It's too bad this place will fail not being able to compete with the chain restaurants. read more

Thank God, a place that's not some corporate or wanna-be corporate slop house pretending to be a restaurant. So many of those dime-a-dozen places serving food that's just low-quality commercial crap that's dressed up to pretend it's good. So many places with terrible drinks, weak sugar bombs or taps full of grocery store beer. It's really nice to see a restaurant run as if they care about things. Been to Reds twice now. Had the fish-n-chips first time. Great cut of cod, battered and fried like it should be. Then there's the care of what they're serving to drink. I like the double half life on tap - much better than half life and I'm not talking about the alcohol, it's a better taste. Only somebody that knows what they're doing would make that decision. Second visit, smash burger with house-made chips. Burger and house-made chips were excellent. The martini I had was an actual martini, not that garbage sugared up nonsense passed off as drinks in most "restaurants". Real food, real drinks, my third visit will be very soon. read more

Based on reviews we were excited to try this local family owned restaurant! We got the focaccia and pesto, very good. Husband got chicken fried steak, I had the mushroom ravioli. Both were great although there was meat inside my ravioli, I couldn't see or taste mushrooms. Dessert was crème brûlée. Drinks were great. Serving was outstanding. read more

For a new restaurant it's surprisingly good. All the food is fresh and the fish and chips are amazing. The owner, Adrien is extremely pleasant and attentive to his guests. The bartenders are friendly and the atmosphere is typically publish/bar, but kid friendly as well. we like going to the bar and eating and have tried the burgers which are fantastic and the fish and chips and the salads were all very good. Just had lunch at Red's on Main with a group of nine. We ordered different smash burgers, fries, sweet potato fries and truffle fries. One of our group ordered creme brule which she shared with the table. The smash burgers are outstanding. Probably the best one I've ever had. One person ordered the smash burger with Hatch green chilis and loved it. She is from New Mexico and commented that it felt like being home. We shared the different fries and enjoyed them all. I'm not a fan of creme brule but those who are through it was delicious. Nice crisp crust and berries on top. Service is top notch and quick. This will definitely be on our rotation of restaurants. Hopefully our community will support this wonderful restaurant and keep them up and running. read more

New neighborhood restaurant with cozy atmosphere, great service and delicious and varied dishes. The red snapper in a vera cruz sauce was topped with sautéed spinach, and came with a side of noodles and Caesar salad. We also enjoyed the salmon Niçoise salad, and lightly battered mushrooms and asparagus appetizer. Pot stickers with beef were really tasty! The Fish and Chips are the real thing! Batter is crisp and stays that way, the fish was a generous portion, beautiful piece of cod that was cooked perfectly. Moist, sweet and tender. Besides the two of us, and one server, there were only four people there. The loudest most obnoxious bartender I've ever been around and three patrons equally loud. None of them gave a damn about anybody else in the place. We had ordered iced tea, but left before ordering anything else. The server said they were regulars, and so we will make it a regular habit to avoid the place. And then it turned out the iced tea tasted like it was old. Clean the iced tea equipment!
