Good food, terrible service. One bartender took my drink order and then left without getting my drink. After a good long wait, a different waitress came and asked if someone is getting my drink order, I said no. Instead of getting it herself, she told a 3rd waitress to get my drink order. That waitress, who was having a personal conversation with someone the entire time I was sitting there, asked if I'm ordering takeout? Why would they think I'm ordering takeout? Then someone came and sat down next to me and had his drink order taken and was served in less than 30 seconds. The pastas all had a very vibrant and flavorful taste. The meats/proteins were also perfectly cooked and had a nice easy-to-chew texture. The dishes were very cheesy, which I enjoyed, but I wanted to point that out for those who are sensitive to it. The Chickpea Salad was so refreshing and tasted delicious! The ingredients were prepared beautifully and the nutty combination with the crunchy cucumber and mashy chickpeas and quinoa and avocado complimented each other well. The restaurant is in a great spot with lots of parking which minimizes stress. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Our waitstaff member Gage was amazing. I can't tell you how many times we have been to this place, but it is always consistently wonderful. We stopped by for lunch last Saturday and again had a wonderful experience! As the Spring weather was delightful that day, we sat on the front patio by the big fountain. Our server was Roque and he did an excellent job taking care of us. We decided to split a cheese pizza with meatball and the gyro platter. Both entrees were delicious! The pizza had the perfect amount of cheese, sauce and meatball and a crispy crust. I have dined at TruFire many times, and I always have a notably enjoyable time. The parking lot is huge, they accept online reservations, and the restaurant itself is spacious and well decorated. In the evenings, the lighting is pretty dim and makes for a great date night. I don't think I've ever had a server here who wasn't excellent, and the food comes out very fast. Highly recommend their sangria which is amazing and more on the fruity side for people who like that. For appetizers, their burrata one is INCREDIBLE and stands out as one of my favorites in the DFW area. I love the lil goat dip as well. Pizzas are always great as well as TruMac. The portions are huge and you really can't go wrong with anything. I will say if I had any criticism, their dessert menu is lacking, but most times I'm so full I don't even think about it. TruFire is in my opinion way better than Mashd, their sister restaurant, and has been a hit with every person I've taken here. Highly recommend! read more
