I came here for a birthday celebration and what a beautiful time I had. This location is very beautiful. You can celebrate a birthday party or you can just lounge with friends. This is a very relaxing upscale winery. We had pizza, a charcuterie, board and wine and everything was perfect. We were able to enjoy sitting outside in the beautiful weather with great food great wine and of course great company this is a beautiful spot if you're in the area it's pretty far from Dallas, but this is a great spot. Fortunata, another banger!!! This cute little winery is perfect for a Friday night out. I recommend either going in the fall or spring. The majority of seating is outside. Fortunata Winery is such a lovely place! I enjoy it every time I go! Everyone that works there is super helpful and friendly. Their outdoor area is gorgeous! You can tell they spend a lot of time tending to all of the beautiful flowers and plants. They have a stage where they have great music! They have nice wines and offer flights so you can pick your favorite. They offer charcuterie boards and wood fired pizzas. My sister and I shared the margherita pizza and it was amazing! The crust is just right - a light crispiness on the outside and just the right amount of mushiness on the inside! Save enough room for the dessert pizza! We shared the Nutella pizza and it was delicious with fresh strawberries and a touch of powdered sugar! I stayed in one of their villas the last time I went and it was gorgeous! It was so nice to be able to walk from the villa to the winery and enjoy the beautiful scenery, sip some wonderful wines, listen to great music and feast on delicious food! This place is amazing - I was in town and found this place online - went on a rainy cold day, so I couldn't sit outside but it was still a good time - it was busy so we couldn't do an actual tasting (they ran out of tasting glasses) but they did let me try a few wines before deciding which bottle we wanted. Beautiful vineyard growing grapes as you pull in to park. Ample space for parking and seating. Live music, wood fired pizza, and delicious wine. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and efficient. We went on a Saturday night while a wedding was being held in a separate private patio so to say the least they were incredibly busy but still serving food and drinks incredibly fast and there was more than enough indoor and outdoor seating. We decided to sit indoors as the live music outside was quite loud and it turned out perfect. It was quiet and quant inside the pizza and charcuterie board were both amazing. We also had their mango cheesecake special that was good but ended up being a regular cheesecake with mango draped over the top. I will absolutely be back many more times after this great experience. Came here for a girl's night out while spending time with my sister-in-law in Texas. This was such a beautiful and quaint location and not something I had experienced before. They offered lots of outdoor seating, a young lady was performing live music and taking requests, and we got to see a small wedding taking place to the side of the winery. The weather was perfect, the wine was good and the pizza and company were even better. Pizza and a charcuterie were what we ordered and the carbs were very much needed to absorb all the wine that was drank. This place is great, great wine, great staff and a great place to meet up with friends, co-workers, or even a wedding. They do have a limited space inside, but outside, they have a large patio and outlining benches to sit with a loved one. They also have a large covered pavilion for parties or receptions after the wedding. Did I mention the wine is good? lol They also have a limited menu of specialty pizzas and charcuterie boards, but it all good, we sampled it all. The people at the front of the line were doing a full tasting while 40-50 others were waiting at 5 pm on a Saturday night. Have come here twice and both have been with my girlfriends. Absolutely love this little area. It's about a 30 min drive for me from Plano and I highly recommend using Uber or Lyft because you want to enjoy your wine tastings and sangria there. Their red sangria is hands down one of my top 3 BEST sangrias I've ever had. They also have a unique mango sangria which is also good, but my love for the red sangria is unmatched. Their pizzas are amazing. The two I've tried is the Diavola and mexicana. Both were so good that I reordered them the second visit I had. The pizza is made fresh in their brick oven. And the dough is super flavorful, soft yet crispy. It's perfect. I've done their 6 wine tastings both times I've went. The ambiance is very peaceful. They also have a barn full of chickens, ducks and turkeys. It's quite funny to go see them as the turkeys will goggle with you if you laugh. They have affordable wine tastings which they give you tickets for per wine tasting so my friends and I were each able to try something out. I personally liked the SYMPHONY the most so ended up ordering a bottle. My friends liked the SANGRIA so we ended up ordering 2 carafes of those. For a group of 7, we ordered 4 wood fired pizzas and we were stuffed. Our favorites were the PESTO and the MARGHERITA -- classic flavors, you just can't go wrong. We also got the MEDIUM CHARCUTERIE BOARD, but it was a lot smaller than we expected it to be... barely serves 3 people max if this is the only thing you're going to order. This was our first time to Fortunata Winery, and it was a great experience, except for the heat! Which is not in their control. You can also do wine tasting in the air-conditioned tasting room. It was very crowded because it was Saturday night, but there were plenty of areas to sit. Whether you want a date night or table to bring a group, there's plenty of seating. My husband enjoyed their sangria, and I enjoyed their red blend wine. We also ordered a Diavola wood fire pizza, and it was very good. They have a nice pizza menu and a charcuterie board menu. You go up to the tasting room and place your wine and food orders , and then they give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. The process was good for ordering. The best part was getting to see our favorite saxophonist, Vandell Andrew, play. Loved the atmosphere and the entertainment. We will be back! read more

We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary vow renewal at Fortunata winery and the day was BEYOND PERFECT. Jeanette, the wedding coordinator is a gem and a complete treasure to work with. She helped make our day so special. We had our vow renewal in the adorable on site chapel, our reception on the large outdoor pergola, and we stayed the night in villa #1 on the property. The chapel comfortably sat our 40 guests and it's rustic charm and good acoustics made the ceremony extra special. Jeanette's attention to detail and customer service was incredible! She works as hard as she is sweet! We had a little mishap with the wedding cake when my husband was transporting it to the winery (the top layer litterly slid off) and Maria fixed the cake and made it look even better then it did when we bought it. We highly recommend Fortunata Winery for your special occasion and we are so very grateful we chose it for our celebration. Thank you to everyone at Fortunata who played a role in making our day so very special. The pergola was decorated with a Tuscan flair which was perfect. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS and the sparkling peach wine was a huge hit! We stayed the night in Villa #1 and it was so nice! It was spacious, clean and decorated very cute. read more

More signage needed to direct customers to bar/ restaurant. You have a good start here, first time customers need to be taken care of. Overall, the layout and the service seems to be haphazard. Is it a vineyard? There was no wine tasting on Fridays. Is it a restaurant? Kitchen needs to better organized and a few servers would be appreciated. Counter wasn't sure of our two pizza order when we went to pick it up. Then we had to navigate the dining room. Watch out for that step? Is it a boutique hotel/B and B? My significant other took me on a surprise date day. We drove for awhile and suddenly this winery appeared out of nowhere lol. Let me first start by stating, we went on a Saturday afternoon and they were extremely busy, so some of my "issues" could have been due to the amount of people there. So to start off, open parking but it isn't paved (grass and rocks) so be prepared for that. You enter and wait in line to order your food and/or wine. They have tasting, glass, and bottle options. We opted for a bottle of Muscat Canelli. It was light, fresh, and perfect for a warm spring day. For food, we chose one of the wood fired pizzas, Diavola. The pizza was delicious, but I did deduct 1 star from my rating, but only because of the super long wait to receive it. I will say that during the wait, Matt was very attentive to us and others around us and apologized for the wait. But again, I'm hoping this was just because they were a little crowded. We choose to sit outside (they have both inside and outside options). We were lucky enough to score a two top table in the shade and enjoyed our bottle of wine and pizza. Very nice atmosphere and we were treated to free entertainment as their was an outdoor wedding occurring while we were there. Great place to bring a date or your whole family! I love this place! You can't go wrong taking a visit to Fortunata Winery. I've been in the fall & spring & enjoyed both visits. It hasn't been to busy where you can't get seating but know when you get there it's gonna be survival of the fittest trying to get your order in. The counter isn't organized well and they don't seem to have enough employees. Which is why I took one star away. After you get through the ordering issues, you find a table and just relax. They'll bring everything to you and remove items as your done. The food is amazing! I've loved very Pizza I've gotten here. I even ordered a couple dessert pizzas I wasn't sure about and the whole group loved it. I'd say you could eat a pizza by yourself or easily share it with someone depending on how hungry you are. If you have a large group get 3-4 and have everyone share to try several. I'd suggest avoiding the cheese plate because it's really underwhelming but a decent price. Wine is so good! I've tried several and wasn't disappointed by any of them, which I'm a pretty picky drinker. The scenery is great. Day or night it's a fun place to hang out. And I love when there's live music there. It seems to be at the perfect volume! My only main suggestion to management would be to add to the menu. I know it's not your focus but people with gluten and/or dairy/meat restrictions have nothing to eat and you have a no outside food policy. If you can't cater to food allergies you need to lift the rule or get food trucks in. Overall check this place out! You won't be disappointed read more

First couple of visits were very good but, the last 2 visits had problems. Two weeks ago my credit card was billed twice because they could not find my name on their tablet and reran it saying the original order was not there. The one they ran without my signature had a 20% tip added which is unfair when you have to stand in line to place your order, grab your own utensils and go back and pick up your food yourself. The visit Friday was a mess, they had two private events going which overloaded the staff and wait times were very very long. An 1-1/2 hour wait to get two pizzas and over an hour spent waiting in lines to either place orders or close out the tab. Their system for taking orders and paying simply does not work and it is convenient for them but very clumsy for the customer. A shame because the pizza is delicious. read more

I went to the staff to tell them the issue they said it will be made now , wait 40 minutes still no food, go again to ask they said they haven't made it and they're gonna hurry up and do it now. That's Fine , get my food after everyone I'm my party is finished... I go to order a knife for the cake cutting and a visibly impaired girl cuts me off and starts ordering a drink, I just wanted a knife cutter and I was first in line. I let the hostess know and she puts a finger up and says yes I do one second, totally unprofessional. I would want my money back and to erase this place from my memory. Also pretty sure there was way too many people than the crowd limit at the bar area. I couldn't even get up from my seat due to a whole wedding behind me. Horrible seating horrible help horrible staff. Would rather eat dirt than come here ever again even if it was free and the last choice on earth. read more
