A total hidden gem! I've driven past this venue several times and always noticed the large open area and the stage. It looked like a fun spot, but I didn't actually look into it until a friend invited us recently. We visited for a Cinco de Mayo event and were definitely pleased with the experience. The drinks were delicious, and while the food was a bit on the expensive side, it was very tasty. I also loved that they had different little shops set up to browse. The atmosphere was perfect for socializing--we had great conversations, met some new people, and just had so much fun overall. I'm glad we finally made it inside! We checked out Rollertown months after it was open and had a wonderful time. We went specifically for Music Bingo (Thursday) and HeadTilt usually does a good job. We'll be back for Trivia (Tuesday). Rollertown doesn't offer food but it had a burger truck and pizza truck out front. I was surprised that they didn't have more beer options being a brewery. When we were there, the upstairs bartender was busy to where some patrons walked away because she didn't approach them. There are lots of seating and events on the calendar. Stopped by Rollertown Brewery and had a great time. They have a really strong beer selection, and the location near Toyota Stadium makes it a perfect stop before or after a game. They also host local vendors, which gives it a fun community vibe and makes it great for families. I even tried their whiskey, which was a fun surprise. With the 80 degrees TX weather, it was a great day to check out then brewery. There is plenty of space for kids to run around. Just be mindful of other people's space so your kiddos don't interfere. Food Two foods trucks are located on site. A pizzeria and burger place. I've had the chance to try both and enjoyed the burgers more. Burgers are big enough to split and share. First time to the new location in Frisco. Like they say, everything is bigger in Texas, and this spot is huge! We started off downstairs, but it was fairly packed on a Tuesday afternoon, so we moved upstairs when that area opened after 5. We tried a few different beers, but my wife and I got the same beers we had on our previous visit to the other location. I got two Big Germans (thanks Dirk!) while my wife had a War Daddy and then a Big German. One daughter had a pineapple Paloma twist, while the other had a barrel aged thundersleet. She then went back and enjoyed an espresso martini. Service was quick downstairs, but then I waited forever upstairs to get served at that bar. I'm guessing we'll be back at some point. read more

Really cool, HUGE, new location for Rollertown! This isn't just a state of the art brewery, this is now also a live music venue! Definitely add it to your list of places to visit! Two bars: one downstairs and one up. There's an elevator, should you need it, and two staircases: one outside, one inside. There's a large merch and carry-out store downstairs! The separate brew building is massive and fully equipped with amazing high quality equipment for the best brewing at high volume. They even have a centrifuge! The staff are plentiful and friendly, ready to serve! While we were there on a soft opening weekend, there were 3 food trucks, so there should be food-a-plenty! Just moved to Texas and wanted to dry out a local brewery. This place is HUGE. There is pleanty of inside seating, lots of outdoor seating and games, as well as an upstairs that i believe can be rented. This place also has small summer concerts, free trivia, and bingo. There are very delish food trucks on site as well. The bartenders were quick and answer any questions asked. Beer was delish as well. With the lack of parking available they offer FREE valet parking on the weekends. I mean how nice is that!! read more

Loved the food trucks, the beer but not the set up for a live show. They have huge barricade in front the stage. We were told the reason was because kids run on the stage so they had to block it. I have heard that people let their children run wild. I'm all for families at breweries as long as you watch your kids. Our kids are in their early twenties and are genuinely appalled at the way kids are allowed to behave at breweries. I think for the live shows they should limit the kids. Even put the barricade closer to the stage it is like 12 ft from the stage. Just my two cents. Other than that we liked Rollertown just do not think we will be back for a show. read more

The property is nice, but it definitely felt like a corporate owned/large investor backed facility than a "home grown made it big" type place. Sunday afternoon and they're out of 3 of the beers I would have wanted. The selection is mediocre at best "juicy" this, and "crushable" that... I got the "133"and my wife got the "Big German" (easy now....) both had the same metallic aftertaste. Gross. The facility is decent, but again, feels extremely corporate, and I have no doubt it will do well. Especially in a town like Frisco where it's more about being out and being seen than anything else. The beer is 2 stars at best. Maybe if they learn how to brew decent beer, or bring in some guest taps I'd be back. Until then... pass. read more

We have been here multiple times and have loved it. However, it seems to be becoming a daycare. Kids have outnumbered adults the last two times we've been here. I love kids, but this just isn't pleasant anymore. Kids taking over corn hole and running around unsupervised. We brought people from out of town and they were shocked. Very unfortunate. read more

The space is beautiful and roomy but it has unfortunately turned into a playground for kids. I'm not talking about a small slide for the very littles, I'm talking preteens/teens running and throwing footballs. We literally had to duck to get to the table area. I have never seen such a thing in my life! Not a good thing when you've had to walk along the road without sidewalks. The beer is typical Rollertown beer. Not good but not bad. Seems a shame to pay that much for mediocre. We did not feel like fighting the food truck lines so we can not speak to the quality of the food. I recently came to this place to check it out and I thought it was great! I will say...if you don't want to be around a lot of kids then this place isn't for you as it is very kid friendly which I loved. Also there aren't really any waiters or waitresses around. You have to go to the bar to get your drink but I didn't mind that! They do have food trucks where you can get your food! I think it could be a little better but overall I liked it and will go back! Great beer although at extremely high prices. Had 2 beers and a cocktail that was small and a soda. Paid 40 dollars. The tab also included having to dodge kids running around and footballs being thrown without any regard to the safety of the people sitting in the patio. They have a great location but kids run wild. My wife and I stopped by to try some beers. We saw they had a sour on tap, and several new IPAs. We both had a fight and a beer. The Colada Don was delicious! Too bad they didn't have that one in cans, the other IPAs and sours we tried were really good as well aside from the Citrus Solstice which was from a can and labeled a hazy IPA but was not hazy at all and tasted very sweet. They had a food truck, and also a bar code for a local pizzeria that delivers to their location. The bathrooms were pretty clean. They had TVs and baseball so it's good if you are a sports fan and want to watch something. The lady behind the bar was very nice, and willing to let us try another beer when our daughter knocked one flight over and then another beer wasn't good. Unfortunately what we all feared feels like has happened to this wonderful brewery. Loved the charm and warmth of the Celina location and while I knew some of that would go away when they moved to Frisco with big time investors, it does feel like they've gone overboard. Been here twice since the grand opening and feels like the tap room has gone down hill. We went this past Friday and even their signature juice serum is only available on Cans and not on draft. The bar tenders looked uninterested to serve anyone. The lawn/beer garden situation is obnoxious!!! They kick everyone out of the lawn at 530pm !!! To setup for their reserved seating for their live music series. While I can appreciate they want to bring local acts in, the timing is ridiculous and you are funneling people away to the tiny area only to make room for the 2-3 "reserved" tables for the concert. You could tell so many people were frustrated by the early timing of this and only to get crunched into a small space. I really hope they rethink this strategy and at-least move the live events to start maybe slightly later so people can actually enjoy the space. read more

Where to begin, I'm very disappointed in the lack of staff here and overall quality of service. Not only do people not follow the health code for dogs in the tap room none of the staff even managed the situation. Better yet the staff high-fived the health code violators. They let their dog lay in the middle of the tap room not moving it as people tried to navigate the crowded tap room. Beautiful facility but not enough support staff to make it functional. Two food trucks that are struggling to keep up with the demand of food. For the amount of money dumped into the facility they really should get the staffing logistics handled. read more

We ordered a hot dog and fries. 29 minutes to receive the food and we were there on a Thursday afternoon. Lines were not long and the place wasn't even close to crowded. I tried to cancel my order thinking it was a mistake but the woman working there confirmed that this type of wait is normal or even fast. Oh well. Glad to see a new local brewery open up -- always good to have more beer made close to home. The selection is good, though most of the beers land somewhere in the middle rather than standing out. The place feels way more corporate than craft. Instead of that easygoing brewery vibe, everything seems optimized to squeeze out every dollar: charging for a "concert" you could see from everywhere, $30 for a trucker hat? Closing off the concert area was an odd choice --keeping it only for paying folks, which weren't many on opening night. And honestly, letting the parking lot across the street charge $20 on opening night felt pretty disrespectful, especially to locals. Still, as a homebrewer, I'm hopeful they'll settle in, find their identity, and focus more on the beer and community read more

So this place is new, and you can tell -- there are some growing pains. The thing is, it could easily be a 4-5 star spot. The potential is there: great location, big space, super friendly staff, and the overall vibe is solid. But they've got three major issues to fix: 1. Food. They don't have a kitchen. At all. They rely fully on food trucks and apparently don't care if you bring your own food -- which is fine, but you'd never know that from the website. We went on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving (aka everyone is already off work), and it was packed. And they had... one food truck. One. It took an hour to get food. The actual food truck was fantastic -- 5 stars -- but that's not the point. 2. Parking. The parking situation makes zero sense. I pulled in and parked easily. My friend who arrived ten minutes later had to pay $10. Another friend, who showed up twenty minutes after that, was told the lot was private property and there was no parking at all. Huh?? They have a massive open lot right next to the building -- just make it free, or at least make the rules clear. Half our group spent the night worried their car was getting towed. 3. Beer. It's a brewery, so you'd think this part would be the slam dunk -- especially considering how little thought they put into food. But the beer list is tiny. A very light lager (fine), four sours (not my thing, but whatever), a kölsch, and then some other very meh options. Zero non-hazy IPAs. None. read more

First time here, maybe I just wasn't grasping something. It is a very large location with tons of space. The beer selection was fairly small and unimpressive....and the drinks were very overpriced. The bar was understaffed and it took a long time to get a drink. There is zero kitchen, you have to go to a food truck if you want to eat. The food from the truck was great, but again very expensive. The 'yard' seating area was massive, but they only had one TV showing European soccer when there were a ton of sports being played at the time. Man was I disappointed. I was so looking forward to this opening. I have been following this brewery on IG. Their latest post was promoting today's opening. It sounded amazing! We get there and it was packed as expected, parking $20 "private property" near by. So really? you couldn't work something out with this "private property" to allow your customers free parking?? They had free parking but it was packed and everything near by was $20- was I in Dallas? Then we go inside- packed- again as expected but was the patio opened? NOPE- closed because they were having "an event/concert" on opening night? So there was no place to sit down. The "concert" was a country thing in which 4-6 people were dancing and of course it was almost empty. Who was going to pay extra for that? And because of the storm everyone had to go back inside. And what I was wondering is why do this on opening night? You simply took space and tables from people who wanted to check this place out for nothing? The 2nd floor same thing- the balcony closed. Why? Then the long lines to get a drink. Which ok whatever- but then they have the nerve to have the minimum tip option 25%?? For what? After I stand 10+ on a line to then wait 5 minutes at least to be acknowledged and I am supposed to tip? After I am being over charged for any drink. I'm sorry but I have been in Frisco for more than 20 years and I have seen so many new businesses open and close in 6 ish months. And honestly I don't give this place more than a year. Unless they make it Frisco/family friendly ESPECIALLY in this economy. They may have rich investors but people here don't have the time or money to waste in a mediocre business. It is what it is. Hopefully they realize it soon enough and start thinking about their customers first. I do not see myself going back. My last review was for the Celina location. Now, they are located in downtown Frisco. This place is huge with a great outdoor area with tons of tables and a stage for concerts and movie nights. Inside they have nice downstairs bar and restaurant, and upstairs there is another huge horseshoe shaped bar and plenty of seating. They have events almost every other night between Trivia and Karaoke night, and others. Food is very good and the selection of beers is great and growing. Their light beer is great, and I also love the 133 pilsner, and the IPA. Overall, this is a great place to watch a game, have a great beer and some delicious food. read more

I Just went to the brand new roller town beer Works and hosted a large party of 12 for some customers. They have food trucks on site. Gothic Pizza, Jazzy Bierra Tacos,Muller Waygu burgers(Burgers were Absolutely delicious) so ,3 to choose from! We tried all of them and they were all five stars..Now the beer!! They were all very fresh crispy smooth highly full of alcohol content. About 12 beers on tap . The atmosphere was very big and tables spread out (outside) the place holds at least two or 300 people easily ..their Live outdoor stage set up venue is going to be spectacular !! after only being open a week. The place was pretty packed with and upstairs with views and great for private party hosting. I highly recommend your next company outing or family gathering speaking of family ..very family friendly grassy Noel for the kids to hang out with to play cornhole and other games. As far as there the service ..you have to walk up and order your own beer and the food is separate from beer Works also walk up food trucks as stated earlier ..there are no waitresses or waiters walking around But!!! check this place out. Please be careful of these bartenders. They change the tip for you! It's not okay. There was a specific lady who tried to add a $20 tip to my husbands tab. That's scamming and that lady should be fired. This is not okay. So beware and men and ladies watch your tabs closely. It's opening night, no customer should be scammed like that. read more

So first, let me say I am very excited for Rollertown to be in Frisco. This place has a lot of potential and is something that has been missing from Frisco. We have been a few times now, so I feel like I can honestly assess some strengths and weaknesses. Strengths: The vibe is really good. They did a good job creating multiple spaces (front hangout area, downstairs bar, upstairs bar, concert venue). It's dog friendly and laid out well. The beer is pretty good (better than other breweries in Frisco). Staff - Staff has been very friendly and helpful. Weaknesses: Bathrooms - My wife said she'd rather use a convenience store than go back in there. This is absolutely unacceptable. Your staff should be checking/cleaning the bathrooms every hour (or more when busy). Food - There are 3 food trucks that are essentially full time. The prices are very high and the quality of food is below average. I've had the taco truck and the burger truck and neither were worth ordering again (especially at $19 for a burger/fries or $4 per street taco). Lower the burger combo to closer to $15, add some more toppings. Create a Taco combo at $10 with 2 tacos and a side (and add more toppings). Beer Menu - You have a digital TV menu right above your bar and yet it lists beers that you don't currently have on tap. It is so frustrating to wait in line, looking at the menu, only to step up to order and be told you don't have the beer. This wasn't a "we just ran out" situation. This was on 2 visits. Beers were off tap for over a week and still listed on the menu. The printed menu's were especially worthless as they had seasonal taps that hadn't been available since opening weekend. Put your flagship, always on tap beers, on the printed menu. Put those + seasonal on the TV (and you have to update the TV menu every day). Short Pours - One of my pet peeves is getting a short pour on my beer that I didn't have a warning on. It's basically false advertising. I ordered a Helles for my wife and IPA for myself, only to find my IPA was a 12 oz instead of 16. When I asked, I was told anything over 6% is served in a short pour. Most breweries make that switch at 8% and have an indicator on the menu. Mark you menu for short pours (and stop short pouring 7% beers!) Water Availability - this is a simple one. Don't make customers wait in line at the bar to order water. Take notes from every other brewery out there and either put a tap or coolers out for self service. You want your customers to drink water so that they will buy more beer. Make it easy to get to and take the pressure of your staff. Concerts - I am a frequent customer at Legacy Hall concerts and am excited to see the same shows coming to Frisco. That said, concerts need to start earlier. When we came, the doors opened at 6, but the show didn't start until 8:30! It's Frisco, know your audience. Show needs to be 7-9 (or 7:30 at the latest). This isn't a late night hangout. Parking - Rollertown has almost no parking. How did the city even allow you to build without sufficient parking? You have started offering "complimentary valet" which is ok, but you still end up having to tip. You need to work out an agreement with the lot across the street and offer free parking. I know there are a lot of weaknesses listed. I truly believe this place has huge potential. If management will look at other similar establishments as a guide and address some of these issues, I think it could be great. read more

Cool place with solid beer (for the most part). I had a flight. 2 beers were great and 2 not good. The Big German (Kolsh) and the German Hella-style were great (and I was drinking beer in Germany 30 days prior). The Hefeweizen was disappointing, in part because it didn't taste like a Hefeweizen. The 4th beer was a fruited Hefeweizen and it tasted like a sour. Other beers tried at my table were enjoyed, including a good stout. I recommend this place, but avoid the weizens. read more
