Attended an engagement party here. Food - incredible. The brews - also incredible. The wait staff for our private party - also incredible. It's a relatively large property with some great outdoor spaces in addition to the bar and the private room we used. Don't know when I will be back in McKinney but Tupps will be one of the stops for certain!

Definitely make a reservation! Seated immediately (thanks to our rez) at a table on the lower portion (surrounded by large tvs). The guys wanted to be able to view the game and the multiple tvs allowed a vantage point from each seat. We started with the hummus for me and the chips & quesp for my hubby & the kids. My hubby also added a beer flight/sampler. The hummus was delicious, the veggies fresh and tasty too. I ate the final bites with a spoon. The chips were perfect and everyone enjoyed the queso down to the last drop. For entrees the kids all got burgers/cheeseburgers kid's meals and enjoyed each and every bite. The homemade marshmallow crispy treats were a hit! My hubby really enjoyed his burger, noting multiple times how incredible the meat was. I really enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich amd would order it again. Our waiter was amazing. He was so chill, but so attentive. He kept our drinks filled and joyfully brought extra chips when the kids finished them off. He cleared empty dishes to make way for more space and didnt rush us with the bill. We will absolutely be back to enjoy Tupps in warmer weather so we can take advantage of the vast property. We also look forward to trying other drinks and food.

The food comes to your table via QR Code. We went for the crawfish boil and I also had a ranch water not pictured. But our food was fresh and delicious.

I love the choose-your-adventure style of this brewery. Inside, air conditioned and a bit more fancy (but not overly so). Outside, classic Texas brewery experience. Large property, there were tons of kids running around outside and riding a little train (cool). There was a petting zoo while we were there. We ate inside and celebrated a birthday with brews, good eats, and some video games!

Tupps is my favorite brewery in the DFW area! They have some great IPA's and stouts. My favorite mainstay beer they have is the Evil Dankster IPA but they usually have some smaller batch beers such as their DDH series, and Grown Man stouts. This place is perfect for families, as the property is HUGE, 6 acres of land. They have a kids play area, and a kids menu and so many places to sit such as indoors in the grain room, outside seating, and a beer hall. My daughter loves it here, and she goes around meeting other kids, petting dogs, running around, and enjoys the food. The food is good, and only getting better, they consistently make changes to their menu looking to improve and make it the best it can be. My wife and I really enjoy the pretzel, the burger, fries, pork belly app, and chicken nuggets. They also consistently have events, goat yoga, Easter egg hunt, live music, and so on. They have a great mug club membership that my wife and I joined. The staff is amazing as well. All friendly, and caring for the customers. Excited to see what the future holds as the location has endless possibilities.

Full Grown Man/Nick/Jack...any of the Full Grown lineup is BOMBTASTIC!!! I love dark stouts and when they have a bourbon barrel aged Full Grown Man you better jump on it fast because it goes quick. We love the new location, much bigger than the old location but I wish there was a better system for ordering a beer. It seems that every time I go in the line is different, depends on how the customers lineup. Would love to see Tupps implement a single line, next customer up type system that is roped off...just because when it's 3 or 4 lines you never know who's getting one beer, who's in a group, how many people are really in front of you, etc. All that being said, we still love the beer and food and will continue to support our local McKinney business!!!

We LOVE tupps. BUT. The burgers are too raw. This is the third time we ordered a burger since we've been coming here (not the smash) and it comes out raw. We asked to redo it today, but had to go home and at home realized it was still raw even after they redid it. :( No option to request well done on the table order Please cook your burgers well done or at least have an option of how it should be done for the customers

Disappointed in Tupps the last few times we have gone. They've ran out of the dark beers we like. Tonight, they ran out of Full Grown Man. It's Thursday July 3rd. They had a band tonight, ran out of the only stout they had. Was it for the whole holiday weekend? The bartender didn't specify if it was temporary, just said they were out. Also, seemed short staffed. 1 bartender, the line was crazy.

Ask the Community - TUPPS Brewery

Is the tasting room conditioned (heat/AC)?

    Yes, it is.

Do you have activities (corn hole) in the yard for kids/ teens? Do kids have to leave by a certain time?

    One question at a time.

What types of wine are available at Tupps Brewery?

Do you make kombucha with alcohol in it?

    No.

Is this place dog friendly? Went here recently and saw a sign by the bar that dogs are not allowed, but looking at the reviews and Yelp page it looks like it welcomes dogs (or at least used to). Not sure if the sign was meant for the general bar area

Hi Felicia, We are unfortunately no longer dog friendly (we wish!!) Thanks for letting us know. I will get the Yelp page updated.

Any chance you'll ever do Full Grown Scalawag again? It's my favorite beer ever!

    No.

Can a 19 year old go on a tour here? Obviously no drinking, just to tag along.

Yes! My friend brought her 10 year old.

My wife fell in love with the owners of the Armor Brewing while watching her No Demo Remo home improvement show. So naturally when in Texas for work, she had to take the time to visit the brewery the coffee company. The food didn't disappoint! The fish and chips were perfectly crispy flaky goodness!

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with TVs for games, live music on weekends, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The layout is thoughtfully designed, with patio seating, fire pits, and outdoor activities that make it feel like more than just a typical brewery. The drink selection is a standout. Even if beer isn't your thing, there are solid cocktail and mocktail options. The beer lineup itself is strong, featuring a mix of American and European styles. One thing to note is that serving sizes tend to be on the smaller side, with only a few options available in a 0.5L stein. Service has been consistently friendly and efficient. Food and drinks often arrive very quickly, even during busier times, which is a big plus. The food is good overall but falls into the "solid bar food" category. There are a few highlights, like the cheese curds, which are excellent and a clear favorite. Other dishes such as fish and chips, mac and cheese, and soup are enjoyable but not especially memorable. The burgers are a bit of a letdown, and some of the higher-priced items, like the salmon and short ribs (which resemble more of a chuck roast), are better found elsewhere. Overall, Armor Brewing is a fun, reliable spot to grab a drink and enjoy a lively atmosphere. While the food can be inconsistent and leans toward average bar fare, the drinks, service, and overall experience make it worth coming back.

The restaurant itself has a real cool hip vibe, definitely up my alley. I ordered myself the beer cheese-steak (with fries) and a blue sapphire cocktail - these. were. AMAZING! I'll start with the positives, this location has so much potential! I love that there's a brewery…read moreright on Main Street. What a fantastic addition to the community. The decor and theme are inspired by New Orleans/Creole/Cajun vibes, and it's beautifully put together. The layout of the location is a slight "L" shape, so seating can be a bit limited during busy times. It's a seat-yourself setup, and they provide QR codes at the tables for you to place your order and pay when you're ready. Now, onto the food and service. Unfortunately, the wait for both food and drinks were longer than expected, even as the rush began to die down. Our pretzel appetizer didn't arrive until near the end of our meal, and sadly, it was overcooked. Drinks The beer was great and a definite highlight of the experience. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers Giant Pub Pretzel ($13.99): A 12.05 oz pretzel served with signature beer cheese and beer mustard. Unfortunately, this dish was a disappointment. Despite being called "Giant," the pretzel was thin, and was a bit overcooked. While we enjoyed the beer cheese, the beer mustard could have stayed in the kitchen. Loaded Broccoli ($8.99): Steamed broccoli seasoned with Cajun spices, topped with melted cheese and your choice of chicken, beef, or pulled pork. I chose chicken, which was delicious and well-seasoned. However, the cheese was a huge letdown, it had an odd, roux-like texture and flavor that nearly made the dish inedible. Entrée Voo-Dill Pickle Pizza ($12.99): Made with roasted garlic pesto, fresh mozzarella, thick-cut pickles, and a special Voo-Dill seasoning. While the concept was intriguing, the execution fell short. The pizza crust was undercooked, and the pickles seemed like they were added at the very end instead of being baked with the pizza. The garlic pesto was the highlight of this dish. Desserts -King Cake Slice ($3.XX): Clearly store-bought and not made in-house. It also took a while to reach our table, which was odd considering it's pre-packaged. The kitchen area even had the King Cake box visible. Beignets ($7.99): Over-fried and served with icing that was overly lemony, which overpowered the dish. Side Order Jalapeño Slaw ($2.99): The star of the meal! It had the perfect balance of mayo and vinegar, with a fresh kick from the jalapeños and Cajun spices. I wish I had ordered more! I think this place has a lot of potential. The concept is fantastic, but the kitchen needs improvement. I do plan to return and give it another try because the space and the idea are great. Hopefully, next time the food lives up to the vision!
