The food was really good. The burger had great flavor and a great sauce, good smash burger taste. But it could use just one patty option as well, i don't think the double patty is needed. Didn't want to do fries early in the day and it was a great choice. Also i think that same sauce was on the side of the bites and it was very good there too. A solid starter for sure. The dry rub wings were really good too. Very. Very solid. I'd definitely come back to this place again. Good vibes in here too, it's a spot for lunch, dinner or brunch.
Our service was amaaaazing! Our server was so sweet and attentive. She never even left our water empty. The drinks were strong and the appetizers were soooo good! I will say that none of the entrees sounded good to eat. Maybe that's just my personal preference but I hope they switch up their menu!
Give CARISSAAA a raise! Went here to celebrate the Birthday Man turned 32 (he really turned 31 but let me have this)! It was a true Sunday Funday experience. Beats droppin, dranks flowin, and ass shakin! Get into it! This visit was back in April 2025 and baby we had a damn TIME!! I remember this day vividly! The food was delicious and the dranks slapped too, we had multiple towers. Big vibes! The space is vibey, chill ambiance, open and spacious seating. Check them out and I'll definitely be back upon my arrival to Dallas!
Very casual and chill bar. I've been here multiple times already and service has always been straight to the point. Food is solid, typical bar food, service is great, and ambiance is super laid-back. Jared and Joseph are great bartenders. Rachelle is also a very great server along with her boyfriend too! Ambiance is really relaxed/casual and laid-back. I've had a hard time with my job's transfer since now I have to drive across the other side of the metroplex, but it is really nice to spend time with my coworkers outside of work. Coming to The Common Table during a break between shifts with the $1 martini's or after a long and busy shift at work is chill and nice for late night bites. Sometimes a little chaotic, but never once bad.
Brunch was a whole vibe from start to finish. The breakfast burrito was absolutely on point -- warm, perfectly grilled, and packed with flavor. It was loaded with fluffy scrambled eggs, seasoned potatoes, melted cheese, and savory sausage, all wrapped in a soft tortilla with just the right crisp on the outside the peppers had good flavor also. Every bite was hearty and satisfying, and the salsa on the side gave it that extra kick. We ordered pigs in a blanket they were good also. The music was playing which i loved. It's was my birthday so they came out with a birthday shot and a song and that was pretty cool.
My wife, daughter, and I were hungry for lunch and I found this restaurant which was close by. I saw online that the wait for 45 minutes so I made a reservation, it was $15 deposit to hold the table which is fine since it goes towards the bill. We show up to the restaurant and were surprised to see it was hip hop brunch, and it was LIT! We almost left because it didn't seem like the vibe a 2 year old should go to but we were hungry and we had the deposit down so we stayed. I'm happy we stayed because the music was great, all the old school Hip Hop and R&B hits mixed with some new school as well. We were definitely singing a long and moving to a lot of the songs. They have a kids menu, and high chairs, so they definitely accommodate parents with kids, The speakers are loud so if you are looking for a chill lunch or a quiet spot to bring a toddler, I'd look elsewhere. I had a veggie omelette (veggies are mushrooms, spinach, onions, tomatoes I believe) with potatoes aka home fries with onions and green peppers. I really enjoyed it, as the home fries reminded me of the home fries my dad would make at home growing up. My wife had the chicken and waffles, she really enjoyed the waffles, and the chicken was good as well. The chicken and waffles come with hot syrup, and franks red hot buffalo sauce. My daughter got the kids quesadilla, she didn't seem to love it. Also didn't come with any dipping sauces, we had our waitress bring a side of sour cream. The cheese didn't seem like regular cheese that would normally be on a quesadilla and they didn't put that much cheese on it. Beverages my wife and I had IPAs, 20 oz for $10, and our daughter had a milk. Our waitress Bianca was very nice, and helped give us suggestions on what were popular menu items. She had a good energy, and was pleasant to talk with. Overall this is definitely a fun place for brunch. People were chanting "Shots! shots! Shots!", popping bottles with sparklers, bday celebrations, jamming out to music, and drinking mimosas from towers. I'm interesting to see how different of a vibe it is when there isn't a Hip Hop Brunch happening.
I LOVE visiting The Common Table for brunch. They always have a dj playing great music, the food is always good, and the staff is friendly. If you're ever in the area looking for brunch with a vibe, I highly recommend this restaurant. I don't recommend the tower mimosa's unless you're into flat champagne. I always order a glass of prosecco or a martini since the bottles of champagne seem to be open for too long and there's nothing worse than flat champagne. Other than that, this is a great spot to listen to music and enjoy brunch with friends.
I haven't been to Dallas in 3937384 years, so it was time for me to visit. My line sister created an itinerary for us to be out in the town. We decided to participate in Sunday funday and this was our first stop! I got the breakfast wrap, with no eggs or meat BUT filled with potatoes. I couldn't appreciate the chunks of bell peppers AT ALL... they definitely should have been diced WAY smaller+ a side salad. Aside from that, the wrap was top tier. We got the mimosa tower as well. My sis got wings and fries. The music was good, the service was even better . I 100% would come back.
In Frisco, TX for a conference located at the Omni. This collection of restaurants and Cowboys history are all together and an easy walk from the hotel. The Common Table was here and we ate here twice as we didn't realize this was a scheduled dinner spot with the conference. When we arrived in Frisco we ate here first. We had the Queso & Chips, chicken philly w/ fries (me), and the salmon with brussel sprouts (coworker). Queso had a good consistency and had flavor - solid start. The chicken philly was average but the fries were cooked well. My coworker liked the salmon but the brussel sprouts were too tough and she left them on the plate. The 2nd meal with the conference consisted of Fish &Chips - again average. Unfortunately, the water tasty very earthy this time around and was undrinkable - which is okay because our waiter only came by once. The service from our first visit was much better. Parking appears to be limited directly in front of the restaurant but again, we walked from the hotel.
The foods good, and so is the service! We sat at the bar and it was fun! I liked the drinks there, especially the old fashioned(it's under a different name in the menu, but on the similar lines) Will go there again!
First and foremost, we came at a time where they had a lot of hip-hop music playing, and I really wish we were able to at least go in for that, but they were booked up really bad . So we decided to wait around and come back for their dinner hour and honestly, I wish we never went. The ambience was boring. The music they were playing was just regular music. They turned it down really low obviously because it was dinner. The drinks were very much so not worth the money. I'm talking about why on earth was these drinks so high and they were not good . Definitely drink before you go that way if you do taste drinks, it's just a kind of criticize how you like them They're having to be a high school graduation or homecoming night going on so there were a lot of kids in here . On top of that the service itself was very bland.
Came here for brunch with a friend and I was shocked by how much I enjoyed my meal as someone who is less than a fan of brunch. After seeing someone at the table next to me receive it, I bravely order the chicken fried steak and it did not disappoint! The portion was huge, the steak was super crispy and extremely well seasoned without being too salty. The gravy was great and the potatoes that come with it were good. I could've used more peppers and onions but that's personal preference! We also got the short rib hash, and it wasn't bad. There's a sauce that comes on top of it that was really good. But in comparison to the steak, it doesn't stand a chance. Experience wise, this place is LOUD and lively. We sat outside and could still feel the energy of the restaurant. Our server was great and attentive. My only complaint was that there were so many flies! Even with fans blowing directly at our table, it was unbelievable how many flies were at our table. Obviously being outdoors can attract bugs but this seemed unusual. I do look forward to returning for that chicken fried steak though. Amazing job 10/10!

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night. We actually were headed to a different restaurant in the Star District but we got diverted by the eclectic menu which had something for everyone. It's a sports bar and restaurant, and the World Cup was going on so it was a bit loud, but it was ok (although the kid complained, but she is at the age that she complains a lot). There is a nice selection of beers and cocktails. The menu has variety with sandwiches, flatbreads, a long list of apps, and other bar type food. We started with the queso and chips, which we thought would come out first. The queso could use some kick as it was very mild. The chips were excellent: light, crispy, and not at all greasy. The wife had a buffalo chicken flatbread and really liked it, she at it all. I had a chicken Philly and really enjoyed it. The chicken was thinly sliced and very tender. There were lots of different peppers and melted queso, so it was a very tasty, gooey, messy sandwich that I thoroughly enjoyed. The fries were crispy and excellent, very addictive. Our server, Addy, was pleasant and efficient. Prices are reasonable. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the kitchen sent the "starter" (queso and chips) out at the same time as the entrees, so we were faced with the dilemma which food to let get cold. It should not be that way. My understanding of "starter" is that it comes out before the main courses. Anyway, that was the only blip. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised at the food quality and enjoyed our dinner. read more

I have heard good things about the vibes at The common table, so we decided to give them a try on a Sunday. Vibes were great, music was nice. It was VERY loud so be prepared for that. The drinks were tasty, however the food although it looks good was lacking flavor. Unfortunately, my meal came out cold. Which was odd because the place was so busy and we waited a while to get our entrée. Although I did not enjoy my breakfast, I would return for the drinks and the music and vibes.. read more

Vibes were great! Food was good!! I do think you need a bartender to handle high volume. (8-3-2025) He couldn't keep focus. I would ask for a drink and he would forget and come back 10 mins later and snaps back. He was a great bartender but some would be needed! Great music, great drinks, great food. I love this place!!! read more

We made reservations online for Sunday brunch and were excited to enjoy the food and vibes here until we arrived and it wasn't worth the hassle. There is a two-hour time limit on busy days and we understood that going in. Our table wasn't set for our arrival, so unbeknownst to us, they marked us as sitting down late, hurting our time limit. We (group of 4) started with a $44 common table punch, but decided that wasn't what we wanted due to the massive amount of ice in the container that watered down the drink, plus the ice that they brought in our individual cups to accompany the punch. The waitress, who was argumentative and passive aggressive throughout this process, did not help us. The manager, there at the time, removed the punch from our tab. We ordered a mimosa tower, that came without any ice, and it was good and plentiful. The short rib hash was delicious but it was more like a snack, it wasn't enough to fill me up. The biscuit sandwich was very tasty and filling. Our two hour limit was approaching and we asked if our time would be extended since the mimosa tower took more than 25 minutes to arrive because they ran out of the pitchers that it was poured in. The answer was no. However, two tables that had reservations before us (I confirmed with those tables) were not forced to leave but we were? Our server clearly was playing favoritism, she was dancing on them, while forcing us to leave. The new manager that arrived was of no help either, it was just a bad experience at this restaurant. read more
The Common Table is the place to be for brunch if you're in Dallas. It's officially a "must-visit" any time I'm in town. I dined on a Sunday morning. I strongly recommend making a reservation beforehand as the seats fill up quickly. It's a lively brunch (hip-hop themed) so expect to be yelling to communicate but you're only communicating if you're not singing to the music, eating the delicious food, or cheering your mimosas. And honestly, you're gonna be havingsuch a great time you probably won't even notice the volume after while. This restaurant has amazing energy and is a huge space with indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the blackened chicken and scrambled eggs over grits. 10/10. I want to say I would order this every time but after tasting a bit of every dish on the table, I'm excited to try another flavorful, fresh, dish. Definitely go check out The Common Table. read more

I was visiting from Chicago over the weekend and my friend brought me here for brunch with her boyfriend. She had a reservation for the patio but because it was raining, we had to wait for a table inside. The hostess provided us with a large round table in the corner, which felt like a vip section. We were so grateful because it wasn't looking like we would get a table. I wish I knew her name because she was really sweet and even gave us complimentary mimosas during our wait. Once seated, our server, Chris, came right over with waters and introduced himself. He helped me choose the short rib hash and I was not disappointed! This dish was so amazing. The baschumel sauce was so rich and so tasty. The short rib itself was tender and the potatoes crispy. I could order this again for sure. I also had a pancake on the side. It was way too cakey and dense for me. I didn't care for it. I tried the chicken fried steak that my friend's bf ordered. Also very good! I would order that as well. Now for the atmosphere. The music was so good and a nice mix. This place had great vibes and great food to match. Plus, Chris' service was great and the kitchen had our food out in a flash. Highly recommend and I'll be back when I return to Dallas. read more
I came here for happy hour - 3-6 with half price cocktails and appetizers. We got the margarita with garlic knot chicken Parmesan sliders and chicken Philly eggrolls. The chicken parm could have been thicker but the garlic knots made up for it. I want to come back for their $1 mini martinis. read more

Do they have TVs on the patio like the McKinney location and do they play college football?
I don't remember seeing TVs on the patio but I could be wrong. Call them to verify. What they play on the TVs is entirely up to the bartenders and wait staff that day. I would expect yes but again, it is a decision made by whoever is working.
When is the hip hop brunch?
We have brunch Saturdays from 10am until 4pm and Sundays during the summer from 10am until 7pm. All of our brunch hours are considered “Hip Hop” brunch!
Is the common table 21+?
Nope i see kids in there all the time. Possibly after a certain time of night it may be since they are open until 2am but even still i don't believe so
Is food still served when it's open until 2am?
No they stop serving way earlier than that. I believe 10pm
Can you order brunch items and the mimosa tower on a weekday?
You can not or brunch items. But you can order the mimosa tower

It's fairly good, both inside and out. Multiple TVs, good viewing angles
