My son and I visited Local Open last Saturday, and from the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a great experience. Mike, the owner, greeted us right away and made us feel genuinely welcome. When he found out we wanted to watch a specific college football game, he immediately turned it on for us. That level of hospitality is hard to find these days. As an added bonus, Mike treated us to a complimentary portion of the Brioche Banana Foster French Toast, and it was absolutely outstanding. The brioche was perfectly prepared, and the banana foster topping took it to another level. It was easily one of the best brunch items I've had in a long time. For our main meal, my son and I both ordered the Chicken and Waffles from the brunch menu. It was a perfect 10 out of 10. The chicken was light, crispy, and flaky without being heavy, and it sat atop a perfectly cooked waffle. Every bite was delicious. I originally planned on ordering an iced tea, but our waitress was so friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable that she convinced me to try a Bloody Mary instead. I'm glad she did because it was excellent and paired perfectly with brunch. What really stood out wasn't just the amazing food and drinks, but the overall atmosphere and service. Everyone made us feel welcome, and the attention to detail was exceptional. Honestly, I don't understand why this place isn't more crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will absolutely be back again. If you're looking for great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere, Local Open is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended! read more

We love this place. Always seated quickly, fantastic service and kitchen. Everyone I've taken here is happy to come back. I look forward to getting to use the virtual golf bay sometime, we are just usually on more of a time crunch. The bar makes a great mule. The place has a "hang out" vibe- to me that means tvs to watch, activities while you socialize and have drinks, a well rounded selection of shareable appetizers for if you're just having a few from the bar and playing cornhole. The decor is perfect for the theme and it feels a masculine version of sophisticated and relaxed at the same time. read more

I would not recommend this place. We came here because my husband met the owner the week before and he was awesome however coming back on a Saturday evening with friends we were not treated so well. First we were paying for a 2 hour time slot and we had reservations. The hostess came in rushed us to order food, then she kept coming in trying to close us out early. Then we finally figured out why she said they were closing at 9:00 when the sign had 11:00. So we left I see why the parking lot was empty in a Saturday night. There are other ones in the area we will try. Not coming back here. Then after we were pulling off in our cars another group came in and they opened the place back up for them but we had to leave. Hire staff whom truly want to be there and not just to receive a check!!! read more

We took my daughter and son-in-law out for their anniversary here. My husband had a chicken Caesar salad. I had a burger with fries. My daughter had a wedge salad with steak and her husband had a blt on ciabatta bread. There were not very many people here on a Sunday eveing and all the golf bays were empty. The food was pretty good with smoke portions. I thought it was pretty pricy for the types of food we ordered. read more

The food was real good, hopefully in the future there will be more choices. Our 1st time some positives some quirk negatives. Starting times where messed up and had question before it was fixed. Ambiance is real nice the place is decorated nicely and with class. I will return but the crickets in there system need correction. I unfortunately have to add to this review, we were told by the employees that they were closing at 9:30, so we left out at that time to be considerate. At this time 3 young men walk in and the have not closed, and we felt rushed. It is now 9:37 and customers are at the bar and now going to play. read more

Loud hip hop bar vibe . Play the video so you can see the experience it may be your vibe Food was great. Hip hop music is incredibly loud, it was a Sunday at 1 o'clock, and there was no ability to visit at all at your table. Many came in and left because it was too loud. Hopefully they make some adjustments so that it is enjoyable to all because the food was good. read more

First time here after seeing great reviews for a long time, so expectations were probably higher than they should've been. My wife and I came in on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch slash early dinner and overall the experience just left us asking, do we not get it? The vibe is cool and the space itself is nice. We didn't do the golf bays, but they look like the main draw and I can see how that would be fun with the right group. From an atmosphere standpoint, no real complaints. Food is where things fell apart a bit. We both ordered the Local Burger and it was mid at best. The bun completely fell apart and the fries were soggy, which is always disappointing when you're paying for something that's clearly trying to present itself as elevated bar food. It is weird that the menu is so limited. Usually fine with that cause it makes the food that is there much better, but that didn't happen this time. Service didn't help much either. The servers were all in their early 20s and spent a good amount of time texting and loudly talking at the end of the bar. I honestly don't care about that as long as service is still attentive, but that part was missed. Drinks sat empty longer than they should have and it just felt disengaged. Overall, it feels like a place that's trying to be fancier than it actually is. The food doesn't justify the hype and I'm guessing the golf bays are what really make this place worth it. I might come back if a friend wanted to go, but it wouldn't be my pick. read more

We tried the chicken and waffle, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, yet tender and juicy on the inside. The waffle had a nice crisp to it while still being soft and fluffy in the center, which made every bite so satisfying. The service made the experience even better. Our waitress was incredibly cheerful and attentive, and you could genuinely tell she loves what she does. Her positive energy really added to the meal. We'll definitely be back! read more

My daughter wanted to try it out so we went Friday evening. We didn't play any games.. just got food. We were seated at a table. It's cozy inside and you're able to play golf games which we will try another day. We ordered the fries with 3 dips as a starter. She got the BBQ Chicken pizza and I got the chicken sandwich and both were good. read more

Amazing food and great service. They just added fried mozzarella sticks to their menu and they are the best I have had. We had those for an appetizer and then house salads and The Works pizza. Great atmosphere. They also have golf simulators that we did not get a chance to try but those using them while we were there seemed to be having a great time with them. The simulators are in separate rooms and would be great for a group/family activity. Can't wait to try them! read more

Food and service was fabulous! Shay at the bar, Sonya the owner was great, we had the Philly Steak pizza, fantastico! Such a cute spot for brunch and golf lovers alike! The Banana Foster French toast was AMAZING! So rich! My husband had the Veggie omelette with bacon, which he said was amazing as well. This place is a scratch kitchen, so everything is made to order. If you are a golfer, there are 5 golf simulator bays that you and up to three of your buddies can hit golf balls. We sat in the bar area, and our bartender/server was Audrey, who was super cool! This place is so good. My husband and I will definitely be back! read more

Made a reservation for 4 at 12p on a Wednesday for their indoor golf and it was not busy at all! The ambiance inside appeared to be very elegant looking, but don't be fooled! It's a very casual space perfect for hanging out with friends. Our server (I believe her name is Alexis) was very attentive and sweet. She explained how all the game modes worked, and even gave her suggestions and recommendations on what to play! I give this place four stars because the sensor for the golf was kind of iffy. Some of us would hit the ball extremely hard and it would not count at all, and on the other hand, some of us would hit it lightly and it would register? It was completely backwards, but it didn't necessarily take away from the fun we had. It was something to just laugh off. We also made sure to not stand in front of the sensor so we knew that was not the reason as to why it wasn't registering fully. Besides the games, food and drinks were fantastic. We ordered some fries and the charcuterie board and both were very yummy! Make sure to order extra crackers for the charcuterie board or else you will run out before finishing everything else. Drinks were delicious and strong.. thank you bartender! read more

Been here several times since my original review - all visits were great. Today I ordered a burger on a gluten free bun and was served a regular bun. I asked if it was gluten free because it didn't look like it, and the server said yes it is. As I was about to take a bite she came back and said actually no it isn't. I was surprised because I knew the owner was very conscientious. Apparently she's no longer involved in the business. Explains a lot. Be careful ordering gluten free at this restaurant. read more

Our experience today was unfortunately unpleasant. This is our fourth time coming here, and 2 out of the 4 times they've run out of steak -- today being one of them. The male owner/manager seemed indifferent and made little to no effort to make things right. Instead of apologizing, he kept giving excuses for why they didn't have it. The only reason we chose to dine here today was for the steak Caesar salad. Sure, I could have ordered something else, but the way the situation was handled prompted me to write this review. He never came back to check on us, never apologized, and overall made us feel like our business didn't matter. Terrible customer service skills. It's disappointing because we've enjoyed our visits in the past, and I have even recommended them in our huge neighborhood fb group, but after this experience, who knows if I'll be returning. read more

This place charms with its friendly service and stunning modern decor. Although drink prices are on the higher side, the food offers good value for money. While the chicken and waffles fell short due to both being overcooked, they were flavorful, and the breakfast pizza was a tasty surprise, both in flavor and size. We went at about 11:30 on Sunday and were told they were only serving from the smaller brunch menu and not the lunch menu which was a little disappointing. They have an indoor golfing game as well, but we did not play it, so I can't speak to that at all. This is a cool place, I'd give them another chance. read more

We enjoy this place for a regular family dining spot. They're always accommodating to our large (10) family. In fact, we've enjoyed Mother's Day there for 2 years in a row! It isn't the most upscale as it does cater to the golf simulator crowd but it is family owned which is special! Everything from the breakfast pizza to the Local Open French Toast is fantastic for brunch! And my SIL says not to sleep on the Burger and get it with the mango sauce (I trust her!) read more

I had their pizza for delivery and topped it off with a cake. Their BBQ pizza was better than I expected! I'm usually not a fan but the pictures did it justice. It wasn't too BBQ-y, the toppings were a perfect combo and even with a thinner crust, it didn't leave me feeling like there was more to be desired. Truly and artisan pizza. And the chocolate cake? Fantastic! You can certainly my share it. Make sure to note there is a rose-crafted strawberry that comes along with it on the side. It was a beautiful touch. read more

We came during brunch hours. Menu was very limited. My MIL got a hot coffee and it was served to her cold twice even though she mentioned it wasn't warm. Also, she expected her coffee to come with a normal non-flavored coffee creamer but it came with a vanilla flavored milk creamer. The waiter failed to mention that it was a flavored creamer, and so we needed to correct her coffee again. I ordered the breakfast pizza that originally has bacon and sausage on it, but was told I'd be able to sub it with steak since they did not have a turkey bacon or turkey sausage substitute. The waiter failed to mention that ordering it with a steak option would mean a $30 additional up charge. Had we known the additional up charge, we would not have ordered it with steak. We will not be coming here again... read more

I checked the restaurant website menu and picked out several things I was interested in having. Came in here at 12pm and was told that we can only order off of their "brunch menu" and all of the items on the regular menu are somehow unavailable. They have a very limited and unusual brunch menu with items like breakfast pizza, BLT on a waffle, and other things I wouldn't care to eat. I ordered the only thing that looked good, the chicken and waffles. The chicken was fine but the waffles were undercooked and totally raw in the middle. It was like eating bubblegum. I ended up not eating any of the waffle because it was so bad. My wife got the breakfast pizza... Once we were finished, my wife asked for a to-go box for the pizza. The waiter gave us a small round plastic container that clearly wasn't big enough to fit the pizza. She asked for a pizza box and the waiter refused and said "the pizza box is custom made and too expensive". I have no idea what that means or why a waiter would say such a thing or care how much a pizza box costs. The best part was after I paid, they gave themselves a 3% "convenience fee" for using a credit card, a fee which isn't stated on their website, menu, or anywhere else. Will not come back read more
