The infamous Swarovski crystal centerpiece at the bar
    Lisa K.

First time at Trick Rider and it was definitely a great experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Swarovski crystal horse is beautiful above the bar area and clearly the centerpiece of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The servers are all dressed in a nice Western shirt, and the theming throughout is consistent and very well done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even the guest napkins look like bandanas which I was super impressed with.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I started with the Caesar Salad which had a little too much dressing in my opinion but was fresh and delicious. I got the petit filet as my entree and it had delicious flavor without being too salty which I greatly appreciated. Our table shared the broccolini and the Sweet Potato which were both amazing. I don't normally like Sweet Potatoes but this was pureed so finely that it was like pudding with the charred marshmallow on top. The Lone Star Poire tasted like spicy pear deliciousness in a glass. And the champagne bubble bath had an adorable presentation with the rubber duck floating on top. Overall a really great experience and a lovely hotel.

Crab & Crystals Let's start with the ambience, because yes, they nailed it. You walk in and boom, there's a crystal horse just hanging as the fabulous focus. It's dramatic. It's glamorous. It's giving "yes, I sparkle and I'm expensive." This is a 16-foot-long, 9-foot-high Swarovski crystal chandelier designed by Jeffrey Beers International, featuring 4,075 bohemian cut crystal beads and weighing 1,500 pounds. Now onto the food...specifically, the king crab! Life-changing. I'm not saying I fell in love, but I am saying if that crab proposed to me, I'd say yes without hesitation. Forget love languages, mine is clearly butter-drenched shellfish, and Trick Rider understood the assignment. Also, I ordered asparagus because I needed to pretend I'm a responsible adult who eats green things, and wow, I did not share. Not one spear. Don't look at me like that; it was too good and frankly, I have no regrets. Pro tip? Ask for two orders of bread. Just do it. Trust me. You'll thank me later when you're hoarding it like it's your last meal on Earth. It's warm, it's fluffy, it's probably laced with magic. And, you have a plate of butter from your king crab. Show up hungry, leave dramatic. Just like that crystal horse would want.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A signature Texas steakhouse with the stallion chandelier to prove it. Beautiful dining area loved all of the trick rider references throughout the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Beef tartare! Great balance of the citrus and capers. Really enjoyed the branzino. It was perfectly cooked and finished. Definitely order the mac & cheese...and the desserts? Too many good options to just pick one. Our server was amazing. Knew the menu so well and made great recommendations. Ask about the empress gin cocktail.

My bestie and I wanted to try an afternoon tea and this place was very local to us both so we decided to give it a try. I will say it was a bumpy start to actually getting to this place but it all worked out. We had originally booked our Saturday before the snow storm. They obviously canceled our original reservation due to weather. However when I went to rebook for the following Saturday there was some sort of complication with the Open Table app to where it would let me do everything except take my payment for the tea. After about 6 attempts I called the place. I could never get someone from the restaurant to answer for 3 days; even after leaving two voicemails. Then I called one last time and finally someone at the front desk transferred me to the hotel concierge and she was wonderful. She actually helped me and emailed the restaurant; then actually called me back the following day to see if anyone had followed up. (Which a person did not; just an automated text to book; resulting in the same issue with the payment part) So she told me she would put our reservation in and I'd just pay when we were there. She was an angel and I truly appreciated all her help. I'm not sure if it was a computer glitch; because I used that same card to pay in the restaurant. So after all that I still went in with an open mind for tea. The hostess was a young girl with no emotion. She wasn't super welcoming upon arrival. For my first time there; there was no "hi how are you today" or what can I do for you" she just didn't seem like she wanted to be there. They need a more friendly or bubbly person at that desk. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is very cowgirl rustic glam. Surprised there were only 2 tables for tea. They had live music; which was nice but a little loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was friendly, he even saw in my profile about my birthday; so he brought out a birthday sweet; it was so thoughtful. He explained the menu. Service was overall good. We could choose our tea but the tower was preset. Presentation was beautiful; the tea I chose was delicious. Out of the 4 sandwiches the cream cheese one was my least favorite. The ham and cheese bite and cheddar biscuit bites were yummy. All the sweets were tasty. I wish there was more savory over sweet items; but that's just me. The salmon sandwich was probably my favorite. Definitely didn't leave full; but it's a tea. And honestly it wasn't like other High Tea places. There wasn't a true experience of it all. The tower was beautiful but the experience that normally comes along with it was lacking. Would've honestly given three stars but the concierge was great so I gave an extra one. But honestly 3/5 would be my rating overall.

Let me say, the dress code is NOT enforced. We arrived dressed for dinner and patrons were dressed as though they walked right off the golf course. The food was good, not great. The service was very good- request Sean for exceptional service. The drinks were well made. Overall, I felt that this is catering the hotel/golf patrons, but the atmosphere is nicely done, beautiful aesthetics.

Absolutely recommend having dinner at the Trick Rider. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is beautiful inside. The sky painted ceiling and the horse chandelier are stunning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Every single drink and plate brought out was artistic. There were drinks with rubber duckies, drinks with metal horses, plates with beautiful designs, edible art. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything is Instagram worthy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We loved dinner at Trick Rider to celebrate a family birthday! Everything was beyond amazing! The steaks were perfect as were the appetizers and sides! Our server, Diego was the best waiter we ever had and he was from our home state of NJ too! He made our experience wonderful and thank you all for a great time!

Went for my 50th birthday and went all out. I actually waited 1 week to do this review because I needed to reflect on my experience. I am a guy who does all out restaurant experiences in New Orleans, Dallas to Vegas. Was I very disappointed, absolutely very disappointed! Was it for the food? Partly, service no but restaurant absolutely! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Food was 4/5, service was 4.5/5 the restaurant was 2/5![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Why? [[HIGHLIGHT]]Acoustics are negative -1! It's a bar! If you want a 5 star restaurant in a bar this for you, it's LOUD and you can't even talk to each other it's crazy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also dress code? Nope! Table next to us shorts and baseball caps all drunk![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was 9/10 the food was 8/10 and the environment was 3/10'![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I cannot believe the acoustics in this place were approved![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's so bad I will not be back, if you want a 5 star restaurant that you can't talk to anyone and like drunk guys in shorts and ball caps in the table next to you this is your place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For a $1,000 4 person dinner this should be LAST on your list for the area!!! Do not visit unless things change, so many other options in the area are way better. I am amazed I actually hand to write this review!

We had such an incredible first time experience at Trick Rider for my sister birthday. The interior is so beautiful with a crystal balls sculpture at the center bar. Our waiter KARA is absolutely amazing. She was very attentive, knowledgeable about the wine and the food on the menu. So kind , friendly and helpful. Everything she suggested we decided to ordered it and it was fantastic. From the Roman tower which is a seafood tower ( oysters, king crab legs, shrimp) crispy calamari, crispy chicken, salmon, house special lamb, broccolini, mushrooms, whipped mashed potatoes and ended with desserts. 24-karrot cake and baked Alaska. DELICIOUS! Will definitely come back. Ask for KARA'S table you will not be disappointed she is the best!!!

I live close to this location and was wondering if a hotel reservation is required to even get a reservation at the restaurant?

No, it's open to the public. If you're staying at Omni, you can access it through the hall by the gift shop. If not, there is outside entry to the left of the main hotel entrance.

He knew the food and drinks inside and out, he anticipated our needs and magically showed up with refills before I even knew I needed one. He told us about things on the menu and the restaurant and the services they offer. He was a guide without ever being pushy, he was always there with whatever we needed but was never hovering. Nice kid! I rarely talk to the managers unless something is seriously wrong. In this case I called Tom over to compliment how great the place is. We told him it was our first time in and that the only reason we hadn't been in before was it looked a bit expensive. He did mention they just came up with pick-a-pair for lunch at $14.95. Normally this means skimpy half-portions of stuff but not here. I was in the mood for bacon so I went for the BLT Salad & BLT Sandwich. The dressing was made in house and wonderfully garlicky without being overpowering. The tomatoes were juicy and flavorful, the bread was grilled to perfection, and even the arugula was delicious (and I hate arugula/rocket). My wife got the club with fruit salad as her side. Ruben said they cut the fruit daily. My wife doesn't like strawberries nor pineapple so I got bonus fruit on my salad. She only at half because Firebirds has a crème brûlée cheesecake and we had to split that. While we were there, a nearby table was celebrating and a bunch of waitstaff came out with shakers and martini glasses and poured everyone drinks. Fun and classy at the same time. We joined the loyalty club. No having to check in nor track points, they just send you discounts and free stuff in your birthday. The Jr. Chef club members get a free TShirt, a sundae on your birthday, a kitchen grill tours-makes me wish I was 10. Diverse staff, all happy to be working there, all focused on making sure the customers are happy. I wish I had come sooner, this is my new favorite place!

We went in on a Sunday afternoon so it was not too busy at the time. My girlfriend and I like to be seated at a "low top" because she has back issues with climbing up into higher seating. We don't mind waiting for that as inside "low tops" are limited. The hostess was very nice, as they always are. She took us to the middle of the venue to seat us and then walked away while we were waiting on our server. I stood up to walk around the table so that I could sit next to her instead of across from her. She stood up to move over and pulled out the chair next to her so she could sit back down. At that moment the new general manager walked up, and without offering any explaination, took the chair out of my girlfriend's hand and said, "We need this table for another party." He walked away and left us standing there without offering us another solution, and apology or calling the hostess over to seat us elsewhere. We were left standing there dumbfounded and looking around unsure of what to do. We started walking back toward the front of the venue as we spotted another open "low top" near there. At that same time the female hostess saw what had happened to us, and she started to walk toward us. Meanwhile, another male server - acting as host - seated some people at the new table we were about to get to with the hostess. We got mad and said, "it feels like someone is playing a game on us!" The hostess apologized as she could see we were aggitated. It was not her fault, and we do not blame her. We blame the rudeness of the general manager. We left to go eat somewhere else. This is not the first incident with this general manager, though. A few days prior, we were eating in there and had a good vantage point of one of the side kitchen entries off to the left of the bar toward the ffront half of the venue. A bus boy sloshed water all over the floor while moving wet dishes in a container back into the kitchen. He didn't have a chance to clean it up because he was buy walking back and forth doing other things. No big deal. The general manager walks up and proceeds to yell at another female server about the water who had absolutely nothing to do with the spill After she walks away, he did not take any real care to clean the spot up himself. He comes back after a minute to clean it up but not with a mop or anything. He takes two towels off the bar and mushes it around on the floor with his foot. He , then, proceeds to kick the wet towels under the bar before walking away. Talk about a safety and hygene issue. This kind of left a bad taste in our mouth. He does not treat his venue or his staff very nicely. We wantedd to get up and tell the other female server that we were sorry for her. This venue would be great if they would fire this rude and sloppy general manager. It's a shame because this used to be one of our favorite venues to go to all the time. The experience is starting to feel cheapened and sullied now.
