I recently visited the Glen for a sorority anniversary celebration. I hadn't heard of it, but was interested in checking out the live performance. The restaurant itself has very feminine decorations and lots of pink, perfect for a girls night. There was a fire performance who also did aerial dancing. She did a great job and made sure to go around every area of the restaurant. As for the food and service, both were just ok. Our waitress seemed tired, which I understood since it was late on a Friday night. I ordered the seared mahi mahi. The fish was over cooked and the brussels sprouts were overly salty. I didn't finish my meal and was a bit disappointed. The meal and atmosphere were not worth the price tag. However, if you're coming for happy hour with some girls friends, this may be an ok spot to check out. But, with so many great restaurants and bars across the DFW area, I don't see myself returning. read more

We arrived to The Glen around 3 on a Friday. It wasn't busy at all and was super cute inside. Our server was super sweet and knowledgable about the menu items. We started with the happy hour because of the time. All of the drinks were soooo tasty and strong. The lobster rolls could have had more lobster, but they were really yummy. The truffle fries were sooooo good, especially that aioli omg. I wish they put that aioli on the sliders because those didn't have a sauce. The Caesar salad was tasty as well--some fresh cracked pepper would've been amazing (their pepper was super fine). The ahi tuna was actually really flavorful to be raw and served with nothing else. Eventually we got to the dinner menu time (around 430). We asked for recs out of the choices we liked, and it did not miss! My seafood pasta with the white sauce was top tier. I'd go back just for that. The rigatoni was flavorful and the protein on both were great. My only complaint is that my friend asked if they didn't anything for birthdays to which our server replied yes, cotton candy. I am glad to have visited this place with my girlfriends for my birthday. The vibe was exactly what I was looking for for my birthday brunch. I was impressed with the set up and decor of the restaurant, the music, as well as the show aerialist. The aerialist was the cherry on top for entertainment and vibes! I thought all the dishes we ordered were good. The portions were good, and came out in a timely manner. The mimosa flight was great as well. The only reason why I don't give this restaurant a five star rating is because we had a misunderstanding with our waitress that got us off to a rocky start. The issue was resolved, but it user seemed like the waitress was inexperienced to be serving at an upscale place. I'd love to go back though for another visit just to hangout and enjoy cocktails. read more

They Waited for our table to be ready and had a couple of drinks at the bar. The flame and fortune had great presentation and was spicy. I loved it. This place is perfect for a girls night. Located at The Star we celebrated my friend's birthday in style! The dessert tower was the cutest, not only did it come cotton candy, it includes a piece of red velvet cake, churros, and a freshly baked cookie. For dinner I ordered the sea bass, and it was cooked to perfection. Their truffle fries are just right, the right amount of crisp and not too much truffle. My friend ordered the filet and that was also seasoned and cooked to perfection. The oysters were alright, not sure if I would order those again, but all-in-all the ambience and the food here is worth the occasion. I really wanted to like this place, but the experience did not live up to the hype or the prices. Service was extremely slow, and when the food arrived, most of it felt basic and poorly executed for a restaurant at this price point. The biggest disappointment was the Chorizo Crème Corn Brûlée, which tasted like canned corn mixed with Trader Joe's elote seasoning and topped with a bit of chorizo. It did not feel elevated or thoughtfully prepared. The macaroni and cheese was clearly batch cooked and reheated. The noodles were overcooked, the sauce was underseasoned, and the dish fell flat overall. The only item done well was the steak, despite the steep price. Whoever was working the meat station cooked it properly. The truffle fries were fine, but they are fairly standard and not particularly noteworthy. This is clearly an Instagram-driven space with dramatic cocktails, floral walls, neon signs, and live aerial performers. As a bar or lounge, it works. As a restaurant, it does not. The food and service do not justify the cost. If you are coming for drinks and ambiance, you may enjoy it. If you are coming for a quality meal, I would recommend spending your money elsewhere. read more

The seafood pasta, now that stole the show... lovely fresh red tomato sauce with fresh basil, garlic, tomatoes... so flavorful served with perfectly cooked pasta and seafood. It was pretty good although I wouldn't order it again. If I went back, I'd order the Black Rock Shrimp (they light it on fire somehow & it's so cool). The bar was open and inviting which was great. What's crazy is this specific night that we went, there were seats available that we were headed to. As we went to sit down, one of the male host pushed us out of the way, only to seat a couple that was waiting at the front. The bar seats are first come-first serve correct? What he did was rude and not hospitable at all. He didn't apologize at all. This was shocking. My friends and I couldn't believe what had just happened.
