I recently visited the Glen for a sorority anniversary celebration. I hadn't heard of it, but was interested in checking out the live performance. The restaurant itself has very feminine decorations and lots of pink, perfect for a girls night. There was a fire performance who also did aerial dancing. She did a great job and made sure to go around every area of the restaurant. As for the food and service, both were just ok. Our waitress seemed tired, which I understood since it was late on a Friday night. I ordered the seared mahi mahi. The fish was over cooked and the brussels sprouts were overly salty. I didn't finish my meal and was a bit disappointed. The meal and atmosphere were not worth the price tag. However, if you're coming for happy hour with some girls friends, this may be an ok spot to check out. But, with so many great restaurants and bars across the DFW area, I don't see myself returning. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but the experience did not live up to the hype or the prices. Service was extremely slow, and when the food arrived, most of it felt basic and poorly executed for a restaurant at this price point. The biggest disappointment was the Chorizo Crème Corn Brûlée, which tasted like canned corn mixed with Trader Joe's elote seasoning and topped with a bit of chorizo. It did not feel elevated or thoughtfully prepared. The macaroni and cheese was clearly batch cooked and reheated. The noodles were overcooked, the sauce was underseasoned, and the dish fell flat overall. The only item done well was the steak, despite the steep price. Whoever was working the meat station cooked it properly. The truffle fries were fine, but they are fairly standard and not particularly noteworthy. This is clearly an Instagram-driven space with dramatic cocktails, floral walls, neon signs, and live aerial performers. As a bar or lounge, it works. As a restaurant, it does not. The food and service do not justify the cost. If you are coming for drinks and ambiance, you may enjoy it. If you are coming for a quality meal, I would recommend spending your money elsewhere. read more

I am glad to have visited this place with my girlfriends for my birthday. The vibe was exactly what I was looking for for my birthday brunch. I was impressed with the set up and decor of the restaurant, the music, as well as the show aerialist. The aerialist was the cherry on top for entertainment and vibes! I thought all the dishes we ordered were good. The portions were good, and came out in a timely manner. The mimosa flight was great as well. The only reason why I don't give this restaurant a five star rating is because we had a misunderstanding with our waitress that got us off to a rocky start. The issue was resolved, but it user seemed like the waitress was inexperienced to be serving at an upscale place. Came here for dinner and we had the best time! There's a cute photo opportunity when you walk in either with a swing or phone booth. They have a lot of flower decor. They Waited for our table to be ready and had a couple of drinks at the bar. The flame and fortune had great presentation and was spicy. I loved it. When we sat down at our table, our waiter greeted us right away. We tried a bunch of different apps. The calamari was cooked perfectly. There was one meat one that I cannot remember the name, but it was delivered on a hot stone with dipping sauces. The chimichurri was my fav. The crispy Brussels sprouts made a statement. The presentation was fantastic and both (we had 2 different kinds) were amazing!! I ordered the rigatoni with pancetta and the pasta was cooked perfectly. My husband had the lobster with spaghetti and was disappointed because they over cooked the lobster. Not cool after paying almost $50 for that entree. The place is very expensive IMO. Is it worth it? Not a 100% sure. But it was a fun environment and the service, counting that we were a big party, was pretty decent. I had some of my friend's Brussels sprouts and they were delicious. This place is perfect for a girls night. Located at The Star we celebrated my friend's birthday in style! The dessert tower was the cutest, not only did it come cotton candy, it includes a piece of red velvet cake, churros, and a freshly baked cookie. For dinner I ordered the sea bass, and it was cooked to perfection. Their truffle fries are just right, the right amount of crisp and not too much truffle. My friend ordered the filet and that was also seasoned and cooked to perfection. The oysters were alright, not sure if I would order those again, but all-in-all the ambience and the food here is worth the occasion. Lastly, although the place was packed, service was fantastic,, we never were wondering where our server was and at some points we had two servers to keep pace. Lobster tail, jumbo shrimp, muscles, clams. Truly the star of our dinner table. The filets were evenly cooked on each side, tender, nothing special, but no complaints either. The bar was open and inviting which was great. What's crazy is this specific night that we went, there were seats available that we were headed to. As we went to sit down, one of the male host pushed us out of the way, only to seat a couple that was waiting at the front. The bar seats are first come-first serve correct? I'm shocked this restaurant has a rating of anything less than 4 stars. I spent mt birthday here and it was incredible! We walked in and were greeted with complimentary champagne! We waited about 15 minutes for our table (with a reservation) but between the champagne and live entertainment, I didn't even notice the wait time. We had the steak bites and the lobster jar for appetizers, and the ribeye and the short rib for dinner. The food was delicious, but it did take a while to come out. I booked reservations for the Glen for my husbands birthday and it did not disappoint. As you walk in, it's gorgeous inside with a flower wall & old fashioned phone booth. Perfect for pictures. The inside is so neat with wall murals, an awesome bar, and cozy seating. As we sat, they had a birthday menu printed with his name on it which was a cute touch. We started with cocktails (Aperol spritz and smoked old fashioned) both were fantastic. We ordered steaks for dinner and they had shareable sides, so we got the loaded mashed potatoes, and the carrot cake for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Last week I deviated from my usual order of jumbo sea scallops and tried the spicy rigatoni alla vodka with chicken. I'm so glad that I did. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. It was a medley of pepper, Parmesan and basil and the chicken was tender and so flavorful. Hubby had French Chicken which also was magically seasoned and tender. Sadly thought I'd be rating this place higher.., it's very pricey for low quality food and service. What you're paying for is the Instagram photo opportunities inside. Our table was seated alone in the back wine room alone for 20+ minutes with no one coming to help. We ended up asking the bar if someone was coming and they called someone. For the price I expected a top tier steakhouse... not at all what we got. Each menu item is $20-70 no sides. The sides are $16+ and equally subpar. They give you dinner rolls, and those were dry and cold. Most of our food came out cold or late so we asked for it to go... looking at the burger at home it's clear it's a frozen burger... The pork chop and chicken were good.. but not for steakhouse prices. We left and went nextdoor to Monarch and it's clear it's ran by the same owner... same exact menu. Same exact pricing. When I had my sisters coming into town to visit and found out The Glen was having a Galentines Brunch, I knew I had to come swing by to finally check it out and I was not disappointed in the slightest. The service from the staff here is incredible! When we arrived for our reservation we were immediately seated at our table. One of my sisters has a knee injury, so we asked our waiter if it would be possible for us to move to the booth area to help my sister elevate her leg for her comfort, and our waiter was more than happy to accommodate the request. Our waiter was very good at checking in with us throughout our experience here, and would provide helpful recommendations on food or drinks when we were struggling with what to land on. He even made me a surprise fruity, sweet drink when I couldn't decide on something new for my next round. He ended up giving me a delicious red drink that had an adorable little heart straw. It was amazing! For brunch, I ordered the chicken sandwich which came with French fries and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Plus it was gigantic! I was only able to finish half the sandwich and fries, but the leftovers I took home were great to eat later on in the day. The first drink I ordered was a painkiller, and it came in such an adorable cup adorned with flowers and garnished with an orange. I absolutely loved the drink and the level of sweetness was perfect for me. My sisters ordered the short rib hash skillet and mini lobster rolls, and they both loved their food! They also took home leftovers as the portions are pretty big for most items on the menu it seems. Throughout brunch, they had a DJ playing great music, and they even had an aerialist performing right in front of our table. It was wonderful getting to watch such a fun and talented performance! The inside of the restaurant is incredibly beautiful, and has plenty of areas to capture instagram worthy photos. Their flower wall with a swing was personally my favorite photo area. The Glen in TX was a very cute restaurant! We went on a Sunday for Brunch and they had a live DJ and live dancer. The servers were kind. There were AMPLE photo opportunities with the decor. We ordered the table Sangria which was delicious. I would recommend that you don't let it sit for too long, otherwise it will become watered down from all the ice. I had the Lobster in a jar which was delicious. We shared the Chicken and Churros at the table. The churro was WELL made and moist and the chicken was seasoned well with a tiny kick. My kids had French toast, eggs and applewood bacon which was all delicious. My son emptied his plate!
