We were never offered the Main Dining Room. We had cocktails, appetizers entrees and dessert. It was our first time there. First time at Dee Lincoln. Even though they have multiple rooms and private rooms the main dining area looks smaller and more intimate. We were sat at an upper booth and loved our seating. Our server, I believe Andres, was wonderful. Steve Orozco, the manager spent a lot of time talking with us and telling us about the restaurant. Started with the brisket potstickers. We each had a filet mignon. Shared a Ceasar salad, avocado fries and Au gratin potatoes. I had the sweeter Pinot Noir, which was wonderful. This was the worst experience of my life!! The bartender accused my friend, of 40 years of being intoxicated. My friend has Parkinson's Disease which sometimes makes you shake, have hesitation with speech and walks off balance occasionally due to the disease. He asked for a beer, she gave him a nonalcoholic beer. He said mam, I wanted xyz beer not non-alcoholic. When we tried to explain, she said we should have told her he had a disease. Seriously!! He needs to announce that he has Parkinson's. No apology. No nothing. I spoke to the manager while i was crying and he said i was being rude and he would take care of my drink as he ripped out of my hands my receipt. Mother's Day seemed like the perfect excuse to finally try Dee Lincoln Prime at The Star in Frisco after hearing glowing recommendations from friends whose taste we generally trust. Apparently, those friendships now need to be reevaluated. We arrived on time for our 6 p.m. reservation and were immediately greeted by filthy carpet at the entrance, which honestly turned out to be a pretty accurate preview of the evening ahead. The restaurant layout feels less like a high-end steakhouse and more like someone converted a dated hotel lounge into a steakhouse overnight using leftover banquet furniture. For some reason, we were initially seated in what appeared to be a repurposed corporate conference room filled with families and very young children watching iPads and phones at full volume. Not "kids being kids" loud. More like "Best Buy TV wall display" loud. No water service. No waiter. Just a chorus of YouTube videos echoing through the room while we questioned every life decision that brought us there. To their credit, the host stand kindly reseated us in the main dining room after I asked if there was literally anywhere else on Earth we could sit. That was probably the high point of the night. Service moved at the speed of continental drift. Drinks took forever. I ordered a Bombay Sapphire martini with a twist. What arrived was a filthy martini with olives. When I politely pointed out the mistake, the waiter admitted he wrote it down incorrectly and took it back. Moments later, the same martini returned, except they had simply removed the olives. That was the correction. Not remade. Not refreshed. Just "de-oliveified." Nothing says luxury dining quite like drinking a martini that still tastes like olive brine because someone performed surgery with their dirty fingers on it behind the bar. Then came the appetizers. The ($30) shrimp cocktail may have been one of the most alarming things I've ever seen served in a restaurant charging steakhouse prices. The shrimp were literally yellow. Not slightly discolored. Canary yellow. Like they had been marinating in turmeric under a heat lamp since brunch service. Our honest working theory is that these were leftover Mother's Day brunch shrimp that got recycled into dinner service because there is simply no other explanation for seafood arriving with the color palette of a highlighter marker. They were spongy, fishy, and deeply concerning. The ($20) "tenderloin" potstickers were four tiny dumplings stuffed with what tasted suspiciously like slow-cooked pot roast from a crockpot. Calling it tenderloin felt legally ambitious. The dipping sauce was a radioactive shade of orange normally associated with industrial warning labels. Entrées somehow found a way to decline even further. We started with a classic caesar salad which clearly originated inside plastic bag from the shelves at Dollar General. As for mains, I ordered the ($89) filet medallions and lobster tail. The filets arrived with the texture and internal temperature of regulation NHL hockey pucks. These steaks had been cooked into another dimension. My wife's ($60) filet wasn't much better, though I admire the confidence required to charge an additional $12 for peppercorn sauce in the middle of all this chaos. My son ordered the ($85) branzino fish special with lump crab, which the restaurant seemed extremely proud of. Unfortunately, the fish itself appeared to have been cooked sometime during the previous presidential administration. Dry, flattened, glued to the skin, aggressively fishy, and almost impressively unappetizing. At a certain point, survival mode kicked in and the only logical move was to continue ordering martinis until the experience became funny instead of upsetting. The final bill was $615 (after tip) for three people, which honestly deserves to be studied by Minnesota politicians looking for new and innovative ways to defraud their constituents. It was easily one of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had in Texas, especially at this price point. On the bright side, we'll probably laugh about this dinner for years. Mostly because if we don't laugh about spending $615 on yellow shrimp and hockey puck filet medallions, we might cry. read more

We absolutely love a great fine dining establishment and Dee Lincoln did not disappoint!. It's a steakhouse with delicious seafood/alternative options. The ambiance: Very "Texas-style grand" and upscale. It's lovely from the time you hit the door and you know you're in for a nice experience. I will say the music selection and very dim lighting can be improved but those things didn't ruin our experience at all. The music had a techno vibe going which didn't quite match the ambiance. With the dim lighting, we had to use our cell phones to see the menu. Every staff member we came across was warm and welcoming! Shout out to our server, Melissa. She was beyond sweet and accommodating. A couple managers, Chris & Richard, also stopped by to greet us and see how things were going, which we appreciated. The Food: I love the approach to their menu. We were there for the seafood and they delivered like a fine dining steakhouse should! There's everything from fresh made sushi to a huge selection of sides, which we LOVE. On this visit we shared the ancho chile lobster bisque, tempura fried whole red snapper, onion rings, charred broccoli, and augratin potatoes. Every dish was prepared very well, even the augratin potatoes! Our favorite dish was the whole red snapper. It was huge and enough for 3-4 people. It was seasoned to perfection, very lightly fried and not greasy, but so flavorful! 10/10!! We also had the carrot cake for dessert, which was also delicious and a huge slice. This is one of my favorite upscale steakhouses in the Frisco area. Located in the Star Complex where the Dallas Cowboys have their Headquarters you can't go wrong with their food and service. Even if you just decide to go hang out at the bar you have a lot of selections including numerous allocated high end spirits...especially if you're a Bourbon fan like me. The service is on point from the very beginning and they are good at timing your meal so you don't feel rushed. I have to say I was very impressed with the Heirloom Tomato and Buratta Salad I had. The cheese was perfectly creamy with the right proportion of tomatoes and balsamic. Couldn't get enough! What is interesting is that not only do they offer their signature steak offerings but they have a good sized menu offerings of Sushi, Rolls and Sashimi. I definitely want to give that a try next time I'm in town. I had the 8oz Filet which was cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. I added the sautéed mushrooms and it was a perfect combination. They have a good selection of sides which are shareable for the whole table (at least 4 people). Lastly, we tried the Chocolate Bombe with its hard chocolate shell on top and it was truly the Bomb. The restaurant is located in Frisco, TX and is near other great places that you can visit afterwards such as Snowbird Cocktail Lounge, Sidecar Social or even The Glen. We ordered: * Deetox Tini: A blueberry martini made with right amount of sweetness and citrus. The blueberries were so fresh and juicy! * Crabcakes: They were lump crab, no fillers. The creole sauce was really good and did not over power the crab cake. However, you really didn't need the sauce. I think the crab cakes could have been broiled a tad longer to make them a little firmer. * Lobster Roll: Snow crab roll topped with poached lobster, tobiko and eel sauce. Wrapped with thinly sliced cucumber. This was sooo good! * Miso Marinated Chilean Sea Bass: It's an 8 oz pan-seared sea bass over shiitake mushrooms and bok choy. It was really good and could have been placed under the broiler for a few minutes after being pan-seared. It was a tad mushy on the inside but I understand the Chef probably didn't want to compromise it being overcooked and I can't stand overcooked fish. * 16 oz Prime Ribeye: Well-seasoned and cooked medium-rare. I couldn't eat it all so it made a great steak omelet the next morning! * Sides: Charred broccoli and Potatoes Au Gratin. The broccoli were very large and we probably should have went with Brussel Sprouts. The Au Gratin was different because they weren't thinly sliced like I imagined- they were diced but they were sooooo cheesy and derishush! * Onto the dessert. It was one of the best Crème Brulee I've eaten in awhile. The custard was made with real vanilla bean and right texture. The caramelized sugar wasn't too hard and had perfect crunch to contrast with the creamy custard. * We had to order the 6-Layer Carrot Cake Togo! This was my second visit, and we came on Saturday for an early Father's Day celebration for one of my brothers, who calls this his absolute favorite restaurant! Shout out to our wonderful server Caroline for taking such great care of us, and to Chris for the warm hospitality by checking on us mid-meal--you both made the evening feel special. For dinner, I ordered the Beet & Crispy Goat Cheese salad and... wow! Hands down one of the best I've ever had. It was so fresh and flavorful, I didn't even pause for a photo (sorry Yelpers), I just dove right in LOL. Also ordered the soup of the day-Tomato & Crab Bisque. We all ordered filets, which were good and several sides, including Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Au Gratin Potatoes, Mac and Cheese, and Creamed Corn. Side note: we have several dietary restrictions and severe allergies in my family, and the Dee Lincoln team accommodated us nicely. I appreciated that the chef was happy to prepare the Mac & Cheese without Lobster, the creamed corn without the chorizo, and also removed the bacon vinaigrette from the Brussels since I don't eat pork. That flexibility meant a lot. My brother raved about his Wedge salad, and based on the buzz, the seafood is supposed to be fantastic (still haven't tried it, but it's on my radar). Why did I wait so long to try Dee Lincoln? It places in the top three for steak restaurants in Frisco. It was packed on a Tuesday weeks before Christmas. Make sure to book a reservation. Our server was amazing. He recommended wonderful items and told us about hidden gems. Surprisingly, he has only worked there for three months. We had to try one of the sushi options since it was half of the menu. The Sashimi Roll did not disappoint. Not many restaurants carry Veal Chops so I was appreciative that I got to have that. The Wet Aged Ribeye is one of the best steaks I've ever had. So good! It was a special so not sure how often they have it. I was pleasantly surprised by the Chocolate dessert along with the Donuts. My husband doesn't eat sweets, but he devoured both items. The donuts tasted more like a biscuit so that was interesting. For the nightcap, we went down to their "speakeasy" for live music (pianist) and cigars. Do note that the price speaks for the food. Came here on a Friday night with a group of 5 buds. We go to a steakhouse every month. Ambiance was nice, as most steakhouse. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable. It's always an awesome experience starting at the bar for a drink while waiting for the table. The bar staff is quick to greet and get you setup. Plenty of room around the bar, but it can fill up quickly. The dining experience is very comfortable in the open table area or in one of the small rooms. The menu is vast with always great daily chef selections. I have always gone with a group and we opt to serve family style. I will include more pictures on my next visit in a couple weeks. Here I'm again, writing a review I wish I would never had to. For those who reads them, you know I do not rate restaurants for their service, as people comes and goes, but some things cannot be overlooked. I might say, I should pay attention to several reviews here in Yelp, talking about the rudeness of the personnel. Anyway, here are my experiences (yes, plural). Let me start by saying, I experienced a lot of bad situations in my several visits to this establishment, mostly from the personnel, but some of them from the patrons as well. As I mentioned in one of my other reviews, some people thinks because they sit at a 'politically incorrect priced' restaurant, they instantly became some kind of monarchy. I will set this aside, at least for now. Let's jump to the place itself. Once you transpose the door and you see the interior, your immediate thought is, I am going to have a great dinner experience. Don't get fooled, in part you will, but mostly you won't. Something I experienced in every visit is how rude, unpolite and lack of service manners are the girls at the hostess podium (you will be lucky if they ever say "good evening"). I always tried to break the "ice" with a joke but it never worked (remember this because it will become important). I normally ask if I can sit at the bar. None of the hostess (there are 3 or 4 at a time there) will ever smile or say, please, the bar is open sitting or other polite response for this situations. I overlook this and always walked to the bar which for some reason is always jump packed (something I never understood about Texas is why a party of 6 decides to eat at the bar, when they will be more comfortable at a table, but that's not the establishments' problem, just a highlight on my part). In my first ever visit, I saw two bartenders going back and forth, offering drinks to people and in passing me over. I overlooked that, but I cannot forget it in a review. Finally, after around 30 minutes, where I did not even get a drink (yes, you read it right, they ignored me for 30 minutes), I was able to sit at the bar (the party of 6 left). At this point you will be wondering, why did I stay after that. Simple because I never let the rude folks "win" (Sam Walton dixit). I ordered a glass of Malbec, a bottle of Pellegrino, a Filet Mignon and potatoes au-gratin. I got my glass of Malbec and I signal the bartender who was a different one from the original two I saw (I learned his name is Martin, which happened to be the only one attentive and the ONE AND ONLY to keep me going back, hence the 2 stars). I told him about all the stuff I've been "overlooking" but I could not overlook a "very nice red rouge mouth print" on the border of my wine glass. That I cannot overlook, especially in an establishment of this kind. Martin made sure I got everything I asked for and check on me regularly (I tipped accordingly to his job, of course). Let me say, the beef was, at the best, average; not to the standards of a place of this category (or at least the one they pretend to be). The potatoes au-gratin were good. I had to add some seasoning myself, but no complains there. I was still hungry so I decided to get a Smoked Salmon Sashimi, which they actually smoked right in front of you. Honestly, the best of my entire meal. I ordered a Negroni, paid and leave. I honestly like that bartender so I decided to go back for the fish and sushi not the beef. On my subsequent visits, I experienced the "hostess unpoliteness and rudeness" over and over again. Since my favorite bartender is there, I really did not pay much attention to it (and yes, several patrons still 'self-perceive' they are some kind of monarchy). I will have to say, their Sea Bass is fantastic. Honestly the best plate I ate there. Also the sushi rolls and sashimi's are very good and that's why I was only going there for the seafood. Everything was going well, till a couple of Saturday's ago, where I happened to have a very rough day at work (yes, working on a Saturday in a cutting-throat environment). I needed to unwind and to have some nice sushi dinner. As I mentioned above, I normally make a joke to make those "rude hostess" smile. I happened to say something one of the "hostess" took "literally", when I was notoriously joking (even a 10 years old kid would figure it out). There it came the "assistant manager" (I identified him as Chris Farber, according to their website) who gave me a lame excuse about my "joke" and tell me leave, which I comply with enormous joy. Wasn't for that "episode" I would never discover a fantastic restaurant right next door, which is my new "to-go" place from now and on (Sorry but you'll have to read my other review for the name). The scallops literally made me throw up after one bite, and they were very inconsistent. Either way too undercooked or way too overcooked. My cosmopolitan was straight vodka, and my boyfriend's medium rare steak was just rare. We kept sending food and drinks back, and the staff apologized and would send us "corrected" food that was almost worst. When we finally asked for a lead or manager - he was very apologetic and even offered for us to come back completely free. We will still not be coming back. Awful experience read more

Went to Dee Lincoln Prime for my Wedding Anniversary. The service person was poor due to his focus on the 5 businessmen at the other table. First he tries to up sale us right away on the steak. Then when my husband orders the prime rib, it comes out medium well (burnt)! When I ask about the salmon versus the ali tuna he suggests the halibut which is $20 more. To replace the prime rib he tells us it will take 25 minutes to bring another one so I share my salty salmon with my husband. Then when we say never mind to the prime rib, Sebastian says it will be ready in 10 minutes. This time it's too rare and tough but my husband doesn't complain. Then we get a complimentary dessert, It's all chocolate, which I'm allergic to. He puts a candle on the plate and walks away to the other table, we're not sure if he is going to come back to light the candle so my husband waits to eat the dessert. Finally, the guy never comes back so he eats it! At the end, I ask Sebastian we're we supposed to light the candle, then he sees I'm not happy with him, he keeps offering to light the candle! Seriously disappointed! Been the before, will not be returning anytime soon!! read more

My family and I stopped in to celebrate our very first day of moving to Frisco. Beautiful restaurant, perfect location, and I could not have imagined a better meal for the occasion! Everything we ate was absolutely phenomenal! And the service was unmatched. Our server Josh along with Arif were an amazing team and kept our wine glasses filled and the food coming at a steady pace. I really wanted to love this restaurant, the space is stunning, the entry is grand, and it has a very upscale, swanky vibe. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite match the price. It was just okay, and I feel they either need to adjust the prices or elevate the menu to match the upscale dining experience. We only visited once and will probably only return for drinks and an appetizer. I really hoped this would be a repeat spot for me, but there are too many other places where the food quality matches the cost. read more

Went here for a nice dinner date with my boyfriend and it was absolutely delicious. From the appetizer to the entrees and sides to the massive dessert, we left feeling full and satisfied. Our waiter was also very kind and accommodating and was attentive to our needs. Such a great experience!! read more
