Stumbled across this place (it's in a residential neighborhood) and immediately wished I lived in the neighborhood. Love this for those who do! Pretty spacious place that offers a wide range of food and drink options. Everything we ordered tasted great, came out in a timely manner, and everyone devoured what they had. We ordered a pepperoni flatbread, which was crispy and the perfect portion. The Mac and cheese had far more flavor than I expected and was eaten without a fuss and in its entirety (for a kid, that's a feat). The burger was simple, but great. When in TX come to the Nook for that comfort southern food! I was leaving my cousins house and came across this restaurant that was near by that to my surprise had a variety of gluten free items to chose from. Its located in the same parking lot as the elementary school and is the only restaurant/bar in the parking lot. Upon walking in you'll see the bar and plenty of seating as well as a patio. Since we came in the middle of the week on a late afternoon we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Our waitress came over who was really sweet and had that southern Texas charm. I ordered the elote with homemade tortilla chips, gluten free Mac n cheese and my mom got a flatbread. Hands down that mac n cheese was the best I ever had, it was so creamy but not over powering with that bold cheese flavor and it was made with gf penne pasta (I know a little weird.. but it was the only gf noodle choice I had). If you don't have an allergy I'm sure the regular noodles are just as good! So if you want that comfort food that Texas is known for, this is the place to check out if you're in Celina. read more

We stopped in on a quiet Monday afternoon for lunch. The restaurant is very clean and decorated appealingly. Our server was friendly. We ordered buffalo wings, salmon tacos, and the burger with fries. Everything was delicious, hot, fresh-tasting (especially the wings). There were tvs on but no volume which was nice. I don't know what's happened as of late but the food here has been terrible on multiple occasions. The chips on the nachos come out burned, yet the cheese on them isn't even melted. You can pick up shredded cheese (it's typically in a ball in the center) that was never melted. If you order the chicken sandwich, items are always missing from it. This last time I ordered it and they left off everything! I literally got chicken and a bun. Service has been falling as well. Waitresses spend more time talking and hanging out next to the bar than actually checking on people. On multiple occasions I've had to get up to go to the bar to ask for waters, silverware and even return our food because we were brought something we didn't order. I hope things turn around here because this is our neighborhood restaurant. I love the idea of having a place so close we can walk to. But it's not worth it for bad food and service. read more

We picked this location because of the proximity to where we were, there really aren't a whole lot of options in Celina! This is a restaurant right next to the pool in the light farms subdivision. Cute and simple decor, they went with a rustic vibe. Really loved the light fixtures! The menu items are rather limited. I ordered the breakfast flatbread, my daughter ordered the macaroni and her friend ordered the salad. Everything was pretty tasty, would have been nice to see more brunch items. They had a food delivery robot! That was pretty fun for us all to see, we named her boo boo kitty. There are a lot of Windows and doors in the restaurant, I did notice a lot of handprints and grubby glass, if I could make a recommendation it would be to get those handled. Clear and to the point with this one! The food was what lead to a rather meh rating overall Food- We came here with the sole intention of eating food since I was too lazy to cook and wanted to check it out since we just moved to the area. Again, the low rating was mostly due to poor overall experience with the food. This is how it ended up with two stars in my opinion, period, point, blank! No questions needed with this one. The Mushroom Swiss Burger- the flavor of blending the Swiss Cheese and mushrooms was on the dot for this burger. What killed the burger, was the dry burger patty. It lacked juices and the meat itself tasted bland and unseasoned. I still decided to finish the burger since I don't like to waste the food. Wasn't a huge fan of this overall. Side Fries- Their seasoned fries we're nothing to rave about. Almost reminded me of the Frozen Checkers and Rally's fries in terms of being seasoned, but failing to deliver on flavor. The fries were decently crispy though and not oily. To be brutally honest, these fries tasted like frozen fries that were air-fried, which is a guilty pleasure of mine since I like to snack on frozen air fried fries at home. I still managed to finish most of the fries since they were quite addicting in terms of just straight munching when you are hungry and have to compromise a bit just to eat. The Nook Burger- I didn't eat this or try it. My wife ordered it and she was not a big fan of it. Her chief complaint was also about how dry the burger was and how it was pretty underwhelming. The Mrs. was not a fan. Pesto Chicken Flatbread- This was the star of the underwhelming show. The flat bread was cooked perfectly, in terms of crispiness and how it was not hard to chew. The pesto flavor on the flatbread had a pretty delicious pesto sauce taste to it. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was a bit juicy to the bite, which is a great thing! I would order this particular flatbread again! Service- the service tonight was spot on, contrary to the other reviews. The servers were friendly and very attentive to our needs. Ambiance- Cool little place buzzing with energy. Not a dull environment to sit in if you want to sit down to drink and catch some games on TV or to spend some time with company. I would definitely come back here for the purpose of kicking back and drinking. Their bar and drinks seemed to be well stocked and would definitely be something I can enjoy as a spot to hang out at without leaving the neighborhood. I can walk here without risking a DWI and have a good time without having to go far. Now for the food I personally will not repeat the burgers. I will however get the Chicken Pesto Flatbread and try their starters if I decide to sit and toss back a few cold ones here. Next time I go I can provide an updated review to see how everything else turns out. This little place is located inside of light farms and I wish it was in my neighborhood the night we went they were playing trivia and it was a blast! Appetizer: for an appetizer we got the chips and queso. The chips are homemade and soooo good! The appetizer is enough to feed at least 6. The queso was also really thick. The staff make each visit very personable. As you pull up you will ponder if you are in the right place. Snuggled in an up and coming development in Celina TX. It is well worth the visit... As you walk in chose you table, wait staff are friendly and the atmosphere is that of a local hangout and boy is it family friendly. The place in general is clean and well kept. Can't wait to come in the summer and hang outside on the patio area. As for the food... eclectic choices from bar staples like wings but then you have Venezuelan tequenos or Mexican elotes to start with. We wanted the empanadas but apparently there had been a run on them so out of luck boy. Then for mains there is a wide range of burgers or flatbreads which are damn tasty. As someone who was forced to eat Brussels sprouts for Christmas by my parents and generally avoid them like the plague, I of course when for the Brussels sprout salad with bacon and Asian chili dressing. Oh boy... did I like that. Found a way I like my sprouts now. To finish of our tour we opted for salmon tacos which again did not disappoint. It's great because there is always something going on around you and the ambience reflects that. You could come here after a game of golf or a date night with your spouse. First time at the restaurant and the food was good but a series of issues. Starting with the bar code taped to the table. It doesn't work and I was advised of that after I tried to use it. There was a business card sized paper laying on the table and that one did work. Why not take the malfunctioning one off? Second I selected the breakfast flat bread as my choice only to be told that is "the one thing we are out of - I should have mentioned that." Ok!
