Even with the quiet atmosphere, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We've had takeout from here before and remembered how fresh everything was, so we were really looking forward to eating in this time. There's plenty of seating inside, and the space feels open and comfortable. They also have tons of patio seating, which would be perfect on a nice evening. The interior has a rustic-industrial vibe, with a warm accent wall and touches like the decorative bureau that make the space feel thoughtfully designed. For dinner, we ordered the lime-marinated steak with rice and the citrus-grilled salmon. We subbed the sides for the broccoli salad and roasted vegetables, and everything came out quickly and piping hot. The flavors were fresh, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Overall, Urban Cookhouse was a great experience--friendly staff, fast service, and tasty, well-prepared food. We'll definitely be back. read more

We've come here a few times now because the broccoli salad is so good. The urban cowboy sandwich is now my favorite, but I wish there was a half portion option since you can't save it and it's too much for me to eat all at once. Their drinks here are fantastic. The strawberry lemonade ($4) and the farmers punch ($3) are both very tasty. Pay attention to the suggested tips. They are calculated WITH TAX included so you're tipping on tax. read more

This was our first time trying this restaurant and we had to do takeout. They offered a great Valentine's Day special that seemed like a great value. Unfortunately, I would not order that combo again. We will definitely try other options in person but this was a miss for us. The deviled eggs were fantastic! The little bread bites were also really good - I wish there was more! The steak was not tender and not much flavor. The potatoes were still a bit hard in the middle but had good flavor. We did ask to substitute the asparagus and it was noted on the ticket but we were still served it and not the alternative veggies they offered. The brownie and ice cream was yummy! I heard good things about the place so I had high hopes. Sometimes you get what you pay for - all of this was $65. The staff was nice and we look forward to giving them another shot. read more

This place is amazing. Ever since they first opened we have been impressed. The grilled chicken is so ridiculous delicious. It is super fresh and juicy. If you haven't tried this place yet, you need to go! We have taken food out about 5 times and went there for dinner tonight. My husband says everything he had tried has been so good! We've been waiting for a farm to table or healthier take out option to arrive in Prosper and Urban Cookhouse definitely fills that void. It's about time!! We were a little hesitant to try them initially, but so glad we did! Ambiance: The interior is decorated nicely with a farm type vibe indoor & outdoor seating. We had the shrimp skewer, grilled salmon, local mix wrap with salmon, milkshake, BALT, hot cheese pasta (mac & cheese), and broccoli salad. Literally everything was delicious! We tried this cute new grill! We were pleasantly surprised. It's set up cozy, and very clean. Everything was cooked fresh to order, and organic? There were several items! I believe by the signs they posted its local farm to table. The black tea, & strawberry lemonade were made in house & organic. We ordered the salmon with pilaf rice & roasted vegetables. We also had to try the hot cheddar pasta! It's not spicy I think they mean heat hot lol. It was very cheesy, and full of flavor. Salmon was cooked to perfection. The cheddar pasta wasn't quite warm enough so they fixed that promptly, and threw in a brown sugar brownie. The brownies hit the spot gooey in the middle I would suggest warming them up, but overall we are excited to return, and try more of the items on their menu that looked amazing! read more

I was wanting something both refreshing to eat and drink. I don't recall what led me to know about this place, but it was something I remembered wanting to try. Upon entering I was immediately greeted and with a smile. The vibe of the restaurant was very inviting, and it was spacious, and clean. Once you order you're given a number to place on the table if you're dining in. You can sit indoors or outdoors; I chose to sit outside since it was a beautiful day. My order came quickly and looked amazing. I ordered the Berry Good salad with grilled chicken and a Matcha Strawberry Lemonade. The Berry Good salad came with citrus vinaigrette dressing on the side and an orange roll. It did not disappoint!! It tasted so fresh especially the fruits. The dressing was so good and the perfect addition, and there was plenty of it as I like to drown my salad with dressing. I devoured it and wanted more of it! The Matcha Strawberry Lemonade was very refreshing too. It was a perfect blend of both the Matcha and strawberry lemonade; one did not overpower the other which I love. Kudos to the employee who made this! James was very kind and helpful the moment I walked in, explaining everything to me while also checking in to make sure I was happy with my order. This is their second opening week and though I did not get to order brunch (started today) I will definitely be back for it as well as to try other things on the menu in the near future. All in all this is a great new spot. It's a pretty standard order your food at the counter and pay, stick a number on your table and someone brings the food out type place. We had two different sandwiches and sides to split. The sandwiches were both very good. We had a white bbq and urban cowboy. The white bbq reminded me a lot of the Newks Q sandwich (iykyk) and while very good, it still wasn't better than the Newks version. The Urban Cowboy was also very good and you could specifically notice some grill taste in the meat and onion which was nice. For sides we did broccoli salad (very very good) and the Mac and cheese (not good). I'm kinda shocked by the Mac and cheese as it was kinda cold and tasted like the stuff you can buy in the frozen meal aisle of the grocery store. It was so much worse than all the other food on our table that it was almost jarring. Otherwise, restaurant vibe and staff and cleanliness were on point, but again you'll only really be interacting with folks when you order and they drop it off. The only reason I'm going 4-star over 5 is the price. We had 2 sandwiches with waters and it was $30 and change before any tip. Not insane, but the sandwiches were a little smaller than I'd like for being $15 each. We will certainly be back. I would recommend this place to anyone, just to avoid the Mac and cheese! read more

We went there about 2 weeks ago. Its a cute place. Bigger than we expected. The staff was very friendly and came around and checked on us a few times. You order your own food and then they bring it to you. The Cuban sandwich was good, the turkey sandwich was good, I have the salad with grilled chicken, it was huge, but my daughter got a sandwich that had very little meat and so much sauce, she could hardly eat it. Customer service was awesome! Sweet girl patiently waiting to take our order. She was even patient with my indecisive self (so many items sounded good). We were checked on by her and the manager frequently so we never had to hunt anyone down for anything. They even turned the game on for us! Very nice seating and patio. Comfortable booths. The food was soooo good! My hubby loved the steak. I loved his cilantro rice pilaf! The garden salad was fresh and the dressing it came with was amazing!! The broccoli slaw was delish! We had this for the first time the other day and my family loved it! I got the Berry Good Salad with a scoop of chicken salad. Everything's was so fresh and I loved the vinaigrette that came with it. Would not recommend! Save your money and go elsewhere. I order the chicken salad sandwich, with the garden side salad, and asked for the sandwich to be on a brioche bun (on their menu) instead of the wheat one it came on. Unbeknownst to me, the chicken salad was separated on three small brioche buns, that was extremely, I mean extremely stale. You could literally palpate how dense the bread was just from picking it up. The side salad was underwhelming as well. Overall the quality of the food and presentation is something you could do at home, and it would be way better than this. Please save your time and money! read more

I didn't feel like I was eating processed and over seasoned food being that health is important to me and having some where else to eat other than home is great. Great customer service.
