There is clearly something about this place people love, I suspect it's the same thing that packs out a Cracker Barrel on a weekday morning. We arrived at 9:30am on a Wednesday morning and this place was busy. I'll jump right to the point + the service is really friendly and quick + drinks stay full + the noise level is quiet enough to talk with your table, but loud enough to keep conversations somewhat private + there is plenty of parking in the front and rear The food is fine, but for an average of $14-$16/plate I think I'd rather eat other places simply to get more for my $$. The portions okay, but it's the protein they skimp on. Dani and I were so caught up in our conversation when the food came I forgot to take photos of our meals. We both ate whatever it was we ordered, but it was so forgettable I couldn't tell you what it was either of us ordered, and it's only been 3weeks since we were there. They don't take reservations, but I don't think they need to because it's always busy. Ok admittedly on a short trip to Frisco/Dallas I didn't have a lot of opportunities to taste the local fare. But what I did taste was not impressive. Fairly priced, but not impressive. However, among the sea of brick strip malls next to brick banks, next to brick department stores , next to brick houses, next to another brick strip mall was this place. This place kills it for breakfast. Great food, quality ingredients, fair portions, decent coffee, and great service. I see why it's always packed. Food was excellent! I had the chicago fire and it was soooo good! Double patty with bacon in the middle and that chipotle sauce was soo good! Food came pretty quickly too. I haven't been to a diner yet in TX, didn't think it would be anything special, boy was I wrong. This spot is a good find, it reminds me of my time in Jersey when I was doing a travel job. The food is very good, at least the chicago fire was for me, with a good cup of coffee. Definitely recommend, will bring my wife next time! Friendly staff as well! read more

when we went, the noise level was so loud we had to practically yell across the table to each each other to have a conversation. I could overlook that if the food was good however, my chicken was extremely dry as was my dining companions chicken on her salad. We came for an early Mother's Day brunch and were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we got seated despite the number of parties ahead of us. I took my son here for the first time. I have been before, and I found the pancake batter is the next best level... They do something in that batter that gives it a phenomenal flavor. My focus today was an omelette. My son did a skillet, and I specifically want to say the service is exceptional. Not only did all of our food come out very quickly, and perfectly prepared. but Mark, our server, was always available for any little thing we needed. Tried breakfast here. Big portions match big prices. $50 after taxes and tip for two regular breakfasts. Got two standard breakfasts. The pancakes were great and syrup was nice and warm. Biscuits were fine. Plenty of butter. Eggs were cooked correctly, one portion scrambled and the other over easy. The sausage was overdone and the bacon was ordinary. The grits were much too watery. The hash browns were crunchy and good. Coffee was fine; orange juice was tart. Our server was excellent. Quickly seated and served despite a steady flow of customers. We've gone to a lot of brunch places around town and I have to say I was so very surprised at how much I enjoyed this one. We went early early and were very happy we avoided the wait we have seen so many times passing by. The food and service were both stellar. The menu is huge and has some great next level options. My avocado toast for example was elevated with diced tomatoes, rye toast and everything but the bagel seasoning. It was delicious!!! Everyone enjoyed their meal and the experience. The Tex-Mex dishes and the chicken & waffles especially could use a lot more salt seasoning; they came out kinda bland.
