This place is definitely okay, it's a tiny breakfast joint. I was in the area and hungry and it did the job. I ordered a pretty standard breakfast with eggs and toast (hardly toasted tbh), maybe they specialize in something else. The concept is heavy self-service, you order at the counter and pick a table and wait for them to bring your food, then you grab all your silverware and sauce etc. The staff were very friendly so that was nice.

Great cafe food where you order counter side and serve yourself the coffee, drinks, condiments and flatware and paper napkins. The food and atmosphere makes you think you'd see waitresses greeting guests and refilling coffee cups but it's all sit and serve yourself. They do bring the hot food orders to your table and everything we ordered was delicious. The fresh cake slices at the counter looked very good and the lady taking money at the counter was very nice. A good breakfast at a good price.

Chorizo and eggs did not have cheese?? I thought that maybe it would sso I did not ask for it on the "extras" menu

This place can get VERY packed and busy on a weekend. The boyfriend and I have come here twice for breakfast/brunch. You order at the counter, and the food comes out pretty quick. My thing is that I don't like how I am always seeming to need to add more to my plate? Things that I feel have been sstandard in diners? -Grits don't come seasoned-- they were plain. I had to add hella salt and pepper. -The boyfriend had to add a lot of things to his huevos rancheros scrambled eggs-- cheese, onion, bell pepper, cheese.not come on scrambled eggs. Of course the extras are only .35/each, but it can add up?? At least they ask if you want corn/flour tortillas when getting a mexican inspired dish. The staff is friendly enough for being extremely busy and I liked all of the antique pictures and odds and ends around the dining room... Maybe we should come back and try a lunch or dinner menu item, but as far as I feel, this place is JUST OK. And it might be popular because the food comes out fast and people know it's an ordinary type of place?

Breakfast was very good and food came out fast. I've been meaning to try this place as I heard it was a good spot for breakfast. It was just as described and a nice break from places that try to be hip or cute just to fail in the food and service. I look forward to going back.

The Depot Cafe is owned and ran by The Francis family business. The oldest continuously run business in Frisco. The Depot is a treasure to long time residents of Frisco Texas and is a meeting place for locals to enjoy breakfast or lunch. The food is mostly southern comfort food, with cafe specials daily. Friday is pot roast and you won't find it better anywhere else. If it's not Friday I order the smaller catfish plate and it's really good. Lately it has been on the fishy side but it's still a favorite of mine. The service is always friendly because everyone that walks into the cafe is treated like family. So, if you're in Frisco to visit the STAR, take in a soccer game or shopping at IKEA don't miss having breakfast or lunch at this local treasure.

Some friends of ours invited us to the annual Frisco Community parade and said they were going to get there early and have breakfast at The Depot Cafe. Not being in the area very often I didn't know anything about The Depot Cafe what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is attached to a gas station so it looks underwhelming, but the service and food was great! They have lots of options on the menu and will help you with your order if you find yourself not being able to choose from all the delicious options. We had a large group with adults and children so we split into 3 different tables. The kids ate together and the people bringing out the food did a wonderful job figuring out who the food belonged to, which was definitely not something we expected them to do. My kids ordered the chocolate pancake and French toast which they both really enjoyed. I ordered a breakfast taco that was so good I'm trying to find an excuse to drive back over there and get another one...lol. The taco was as big as my face and I wasn't even able to finish it. I got the potato, bacon and egg and it was hands down one of the best breakfast tacos I've ever had. I opted to get both of their sauces and it was absolutely the right choice. Because it was a little chilly outside we also ordered hot chocolate for the kids. We were provided with hot chocolate packets so we mixed it with the right amount of water for each of the girls which was perfect. Some like it with more water, some with less, so the ability to make it to our liking was a definite plus. This place is really great, and I've heard their lunch specials are even better than the breakfast, so I absolutely recommend it but encourage you to get there early to beat the rush.

The host confirmed the reservation right away and even sent me a confirmation text, followed by a reminder message the day before. This was a planned group reservation that was confirmed multiple times. On Tuesday when I made the reservation, I was also told it would be Bollywood and Tollywood night, which was one of the reasons our group chose this place. When we arrived, they were playing almost exclusively South Indian songs. We had to ask the live singer four times before he finally played a couple of Bollywood Hindi songs. This was disappointing because the music theme we were told to expect did not match what was actually happening. When we arrived, we were told our table was upstairs. I explained that our reservation was confirmed for downstairs by the DJ area. The host acknowledged that the downstairs table had been given to another party and claimed they tried calling me. I immediately took out my phone and asked when they called and whether they left a voicemail. There were zero missed calls and no voicemail. I asked multiple times and only received apologies. The reality is, no one called me, and our confirmed table was simply given away. We were then seated near the entrance with people constantly walking in and out. For a group our size, this was a poor seating choice and set the tone for the night. Service was extremely slow from the start. It took about 20 minutes just to get water. It took around 25 minutes for the server to take drink orders. At that point, I walked to the bar myself to order a drink because nothing was happening. About 35 minutes later, the server came back to take food orders. I ordered a single appetizer, cashew chicken. After one hour of waiting, I asked about it and was told it was getting ready. Another 30 minutes passed, still nothing. After roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes total, I was told the appetizer had been given to another table by mistake and that they could reorder it, but it would take another 30 minutes. This was for one appetizer, not even an entrée. Several people in our group had similar delays with both drinks and food. There was no real accountability. No manager came over to explain what happened. There was no attempt to comp anything or make the situation right. We were expected to accept slow service, multiple mistakes, and poor communication. To top it off, an 18 percent gratuity was added automatically despite the poor service, and the drinks were watered down. The entire group left disappointed. This was supposed to be a fun group night and turned into frustration. I would not recommend this place for group reservations, and we will not be returning.

We walked into the bar 90 minutes before kickoff and found a table in the middle of the bar that could accommodate our party and had good viewing of the screens. As we went to sit down, a man approached us and told us that the table we were sitting at was for some "regulars" and asked us to move. The table had no sign on it that it was reserved and this man did not identify himself as an owner or manager of the establishment. Choosing to take the high road, I moved our group to another table that could accommodate our party that was off to the side. Sure enough, the "regulars" came rolling in shortly before kickoff to their "unreserved" reserved table. This is just bad business. And discourages people who are not "regulars" from coming to the bar. I regularly attend a Chicago Bears bar in Los Angeles where I live and have never had such issues. There are no unspoken "reserved" tables for "regulars." It's completely first come, first serve as it should be. If you want your "regulars" to have their table waiting for them when they arrive, just stick a reserved sign on it. Or tell them to get there early. Not difficult. We also waited forever for our drinks while the "regulars" at their "unreserved" reserved table were kept fully stocked. The service and the food was mid anyway and not worth the price. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Located in Frisco, Dad Jokes Cheesyburger is worth the drive from Dallas County. The restaurant's indoor seating is very small, but the outdoor seating when the weather is nice (March or October) adds to the laid-back vibe that caters to everyone from families to hardcore burger lovers. 1 Star. Food - Dad Jokes Cheesyburger caught my attention because of the OK Burger. This popular burger smashes onions directly into the patty. I made mine a double and was rewarded with a big, juicy, beefy bite with onion flavors that complemented (not over-powered) the bite. I paired with the Smoked Tots. Not only would I repeat the drive, but I would also invite my friends to join me and for some tasty bites and jokes. I hope they don't get EXHAUSTED. 1 Star.
