Grabbed a quick lunch today. Arrived around noon and there people waiting and they added our name saying it would be 10-15 minutes and we were seated within 10 minutes. Alexandra was our server and was prompt and attentive. We both got Belgian waffle, eggs and bacon. Probably the best waffle I've had in a while and they gave us four generous slices of bacon. It was cooked perfectly for me but hubby likes his a little crisper. Restaurant and bathrooms were nice and clean and appreciated that they swept under the tables after each guest. If there are issues that keep this location from having more stars than what is does, it probably has to do with service. We had to wait a long time before someone came up to the counter to acknowledge us and even longer to be seated. It took quite a while before someone took our order. It took much longer than expected to receive the order. When the waitress brought the check, I asked her if I should pay her or up at a register. She responded that either would be fine. So I placed my card down in front of her and said giving it to her would be fine. She gave a quick glance my way and said the register will be fine. ??? Wanted to try something new so of course I went to yelp and looked up some brunch spots that were close to me and First Watch was it. Place is really nicely decorated with I would say a bougie country vibe. But an I'm a guy so ya I could be way off but let's just go with that. Menu was normal a couple of fat guy options and then a lot of other stuff. So the fat guy pick for me was the million dollar bacon and on my momma that stuff was on point as us kool kids say. Thick and crispy and packed with flavor and I didn't even use the maple syrup. I had this as an appetizer because well it's Bacon? My wife had the chorizo omelette and I had the meat lovers and both were good. They have this homemade bread that's all healthy and stuff but was legit good and served with in house preserves... Then the country potatoes, seasoned and crispy and probably the second best thing I had here. Definitely a good go to if you're wanting something new or just a great meal. Reason for the 4 star is because on the sweeteners that they offered, stevia and some type of brown sugar stuff?? My mom eats here all the time & gets the same thing - The Traditional: scrambled eggs, bacon, English muffin and fruit. She likes it. I've only been here once and haven't had the same experience. I ordered the Trifecta: scrambled eggs, chicken sausage & a lemon ricotta pancake instead of the waffle which was a $3 extra charge to substitute. Only to find out the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are just regular pancakes with lemon curd and strawberries on top, not a lick of ricotta anywhere in this pancake! I've never had a bad meal or experience here. Wish it was closer to home though as I'd be here much more often. Aside from great food and great service, I LOVE that they use ocean-friendly straws (scuba diver here!). Usually I skip the straw, but it's nice to have one that makes it easier to drink through all the ice, AND doesn't negatively impact the ocean. This IS something I take into consideration when choosing places to eat. Although my impact may be small, it's still an impact I'm happy to make. A table for 1, 10 minutes to order, 30 minutes before my food came out; Turkey omelette and multigrain pancake plain, but an omelette and waffle with powdered sugar came out. Asked for pure maple syrup before the food, he brought regular. Asked for pure maple with the corrected order, it showed up. The same person who took my order no longer waited on me, the corrected pancake came out 10 minutes later. My original waiter was paying all his attention to a single table with 2 young girls and never came back. About 45 minutes into a dining experience that should be no more than 40 total. $38 meal with horrible service, no apology, explanation, or thank you and now I don't think it can get any worse there. I visited this location on Dec 9th. Very friendly staff and our waitress knew her menu which is always a plus. Food was delicious . I got the special which was a purple hash , it had egg , potatoes and pork shoulder. My husband had the biscuits and gravy and my cousin had a simple scramble eggs and bacon . Today was fabulous. A massage at Massage Envy and a tasty lunch @first.watch in Prosper. I have been to the other location in Frisco, this was my first visit to the new location in Prosper. I love the whimsical decor, they had really cute focal pieces throughout featuring rustic reclaimed lumber, pallets and mixers used as light fixtures. My meal was fabulous. I got the Chickachunga. The sauce was really interesting that was on the burrito, had a hint of lemon. All the flavors played really nicely together. Fruit was really fresh, was done to perfect crispness. Server was very friendly and had great customer service. I'm sure this is going to be a favorite brunch location in the Prosper area, will definitely be back!! read more

She compensated by removing my granddaughters meal from our tab. I've been to this FW before and they brought food out at different times. Hate that! read more

Honest review, I've been to several First Watch locations and I've always had a good experience...that is until today. Our waiter was lackadaisical throughout our entire experience. Multiple times we needed something and had to wait as our server took breaks outside. When we initially sat down he forgot my coffee creamer, I went to use the Chilula and the bottle was empty. I asked for a glass of ice water but had to wait for him to come back from another break before that was delivered. I saw mine and my husbands food sitting on the counter for over 5 minutes while again our waiter was outside. By the time we got it, it was cold. My husbands salad greens came to the table without dressing and when I asked for it, it never showed up. Finally we asked for a to-go container and the ticket. After waiting several minutes more, I asked another server for the container and just as she was bringing it to our table, our server came back inside and then handed us our ticket from inside his pocket. Notice not one time did I mention he ever washed his hands upon returning from outside. I am so disappointed in this experience, I doubt I'd ever return and would encourage others to do the same. read more

It's the size of a small clutch - that's both for you women out there reading this, and for the men holding your purses while you shop! Now for what's in it, directly from the menu: Pulled pork carnitas, cage-free scrambled eggs, fresh seasoned potatoes, black beans, Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese and fresh avocado. Wrapped in a grilled whole wheat tortilla, covered with tomatillo hollandaise and topped with lime crema, pico de gallo, house-pickled red onion, fresh cilantro and Cotija cheese. It's SO big, you'll need a knife and fork, or just deconstruct it and eat as you please! Warning: if you have hypertension, this may not be your best menu choice with 3,790mg of sodium. I am slowly becoming a frequent flyer of Air First Watch! My first visit was to the Frisco location off Preston, then the McKinney location off 380, and I must say that the Gates of Prosper location off Preston Road is my favorite! The restaurant is always clean, the design is inviting, and the staff is so warm! The food is delicious and overall, the Prosper Team makes it a wonderful time, all the time. My visit was at 12 (lunch!) on a Monday and it was obviously slammed. We must remember how difficult the pandemic is on servers, hosts, cooks, and bussers especially as Texans get out more and more. Just a year ago so many employees were laid off and the workforce has still not recovered as MANY restaurants and stores (many within the Gates of Prosper center) are understaffed. I watched upset guests leave because they were not okay with waiting for their meals, but most importantly I watched many guests RESPECTFULLY accept the longer than usual wait because it was clear that the line out of the door and understaffed restaurant would mean we would ALL be waiting! Before this gets too long, I just want to commend the staff of First Watch - Prosper (both Back of House and Front of House) for their hard work especially during times where even the slowest shifts can sporadically be 10x busier than the week before. Everything was fresh and delicious. The A.M. Superfood bowl was so so good! They get their chia seed pudding just right. The toppings were an added plus. The toast is thick and the sea salt on top was a good touch. My man ordered the Floridian french toast with eggs and bacon on the side of course. He was a happy camper. I tried the cinnamon drink with coconut milk and rum. Not the greatest because the coconut milk separates from the rest of the drink. All the other drinks we ordered were great. Prices are decent and the atmosphere is light and airy. The lady at the front was super friendly and fun. We both had skillets, and they were really good. My one complaint, and the reason for four stars, is that the cook does not know how to poach an egg.
