However, the one that just opened in Prosper needs some management help. This is obviously her first rodeo. When you have 10+ open tables that could be bussed so the multitudes of people waiting to be seated can go sit down... then you should be helping out yourself as the manager or actively recruiting others to lend a hand. I am the customer, I am sympathetic that a bus boy didn't come in, I am so sorry... but when ya have other workers and a mgr just standing around with dirty tables and people waiting then ya improvise and HANDLE IT. Very disappointed. She was standing around texting on her cell which I can only assume was personal... seeing they use a "tablet" for seating. On a positive note, the food is great, but poor management does rub off on employees who have no direction and makes it tough to walk out feeling like we had a pleasant experience. read more

First time here after wanting to try it for some time. Pretty disappointed. Pros: Fried potatoes were good. Coffee was okay. Belgian waffle was light and fluffy as promised. Bacon was fine but two strips seems pretty light. Cons: Service was slow and lackluster. Eggs were cold and mine tasted strange (inedible). Food was generally poor quality. A few weeks ago I had a bad experience with First Watch to go order. I had submitted my review and manager was kind and reached out immediately. She took care of us on our next dine in and rectified everything. I was so pleased with the service and they took for just a simple issue with my order. This place used to be really good but it has gone down hill the last few times we had visited. This morning my husband took our child for breakfast. His food came late and hers took like 20 minutes more. Meanwhile, people who came in after they got there were already getting their food. We def won't be back. Dining alone, I was seated quickly. Then I watched two other parties be seated nearby. After about five minutes, the other two tables were already given coffee and asked about drinks. Even though waiters and waitresses were walking by me constantly, no one said a word to me. After 10 minutes, I stopped someone and asked why I was being ignored. He immediately took my order. Two minutes later, a waitress came and took my order again. One of the items I ordered was eggs over medium, emphasizing that the whites should not be runny. The plate was beautiful when it was served to me, but the eggs were almost still raw. I spoke to the waitress, and she immediately said she would go get some more and she verified what I had ordered. I had almost finished the rest of my meal by the time she came back with my eggs. Upon checking them, they were exactly like the first ones, almost raw. I think a breakfast place should know the difference between Sunnyside and eggs over medium. I was quite disappointed, not only in the food but also in the service. I love First Watch & went to the Frisco location before we moved to Prosper. They were always packed so I kinda knew what to expect. I read the reviews for this location & figured we were going early so we wouldn't have an issue with waiting for food. Nope! We got there around 8:15 am on Sunday. They say us right away & ordered really quick. Things were looking positive. Then...the couple that came in about 15 min after us got their food first. (me not getting Hangry) The waitress finally comes with our food, however, only my husbands. She informed me they had to start over bc the kitchen burnt my pancakes. I was thinking in my head...Ok, bring that out later! I'm starving lol Time goes by....my husband is almost done with his meal. I asked about my food, the waitress said the kitchen was overwhelmed with "to-go orders". OK...but I'm here now & put my order in before 8:30 am. Long story short...took 50 min to get a trifecta. 2 scrambled eggs, bacon & 2 pancakes. Good points: The food is always delicious & wait staff is friendly. Bad points: Kitchen needs some help. Well it's taken us a while to try First Watch again and wow, such redemption. My last review gave an earned 2 stars for take out, but our take out this time was excellent. We always expect the food to be a bit cooler than when you dine in, it's a given (that wasn't the problem with my last visit). This time the food was hot, fresh, well made, and 100% accurate. I arrived early just to be on the safe side and the staff was very kind and courteous. Not sure what's changed but will be definitely going back sooner rather than later. read more

Thought we would give it another shot. My husband and I both ordered the trifecta breakfast (eggs, meat, and waffle or pancake). We both ordered our eggs over easy. They both came out waaaaay overcooked. Mine were like hard boiled. I asked to see the manager because I felt like he needed to be made aware this was a frequent occurrence. He immediately came over and was very nice and they quickly prepared us new eggs which were cooked perfectly. He also gave us 50% of our meal. Note to self: next time try a sandwich. read more

So we already know off the bat that the service here is notoriously, terribly slow. Especially if you place an online order. Historically our food has not ever been ready at the estimated time but today takes the cake. We're finally done with this place and will look into patronizing another nearby location. Our order was placed at 11:30 am online with a pick up time of 12:30 pm. By 1 o'clock our food was still not ready. 1:10 rolled around and our food was finally ready and packed up; we took it home and found that order was incomplete. This is unacceptable in any circumstance. Short staffed, overburdened, whatever, we all are. I've heard it all but at least compensate for the waste of time you're creating your customers. read more

We live this place. Ziana our server today was wonderful. They have the very best pancakes around. Done all the way through but still not dry. We get the granola crunch minus banyans share. I usually don't post reviews, but after a fifth consecutive terrible experience, I feel obligated. We order the same exact food every single time, and it's never right. Plain pancakes (golden, not dark brown or burnt) Potatoes (add red peppers) & drinks Sometimes we order plain oatmeal... -half the time, we get a teaspoon of peppers -the pancakes are NEVER golden (always burnt) -the potatoes are usually burnt & old looking -when we get oatmeal, it somehow comes in the form of a solid I don't even understand how a cook burns a pancake or anything for that matter, and doesn't think to remake it. Went here when they first opened about 5 months ago and had a bad experience. Took an hour for a table, took almost as long to get service, and the food was cold. Coffee was watered down tasting. Went again today to give them the benefit of the doubt, but left disappointed again. The coffee was better, but the waffles were cold, eggs were overcooked, and service was very slow. After we got our food, our server never came back to check on us and just dropped the check. We've eaten at other First Watch locations (Austin, Frisco) and it was stellar every time. not sure what's wrong with the Prosper location. This Prosper location is horrible. Me and my wife ordered online, order was suppose to be ready in 16 mins., we got there in 20mins, the girl at front asked for name and immediately said it's not ready still working on it, she never even checked. Well 40mins later we asked what's the hold up, she rudely said they're busy and working on it. We said it's been 45 mins, she walks off brings the food, and says next time go pick it up yourself off the shelf. The food was cooked wrong, runny eggs which we wanted well done, and to add the customer service lacks immensely. Came here on a Sunday morning. The wait wasn't bad at all. We got our seat. My husband and I decided to share a meal. Our waitress brought out an extra plate that was clearly dirty with food still on it. Ok. It's gross so I asked for another plate. THAT PLATE WAS DIRTY TOO. At this point the manager is told and says she'll bring another clean plate. She doesn't know how they both missed this. When the plate finally comes the manager says "Is this better?" Like ?? Idk. Are you saying a plate with the previous persons food still on it is ok to be used. TF!! I will never come back to this location. What a disgrace to the food industry during a damn pandemic. I've been to the location in Plano so I had some expectations. Super disappointed completely on the food. Over cooked eggs. My friend for the avocado toast which she sent back 3 times. The toast was a cold piece of white bread that wasn't toasted. Got to give credit to the server Candy. She tied getting the kitchen to get our food right but unfortunately they just either didn't care or didn't know how to cook. No manager in sight. Why would you ever not serve a customer some thing that you currently have sitting in plain sight. It's not complicated, glass of ice, vodka and orange juice. I had to order exactly what they had on the menu which I believe was called a "pretty morning" or something like that. Yay, a First Watch opened in Prosper! Been a couple of times now and have yet to be disappointed. Very tasty breakfast, and I love the variety of options. Healthy options of you want them as well as less healthy, but very tasty options too. Something to please everyone in the family. My one complaint, and it's a very superficial one, is that they don't carry Splenda or Equal for sweetening the coffee. Only options are sugar and Stevia. Yeah yeah, Stevia is better for you .......but it is sooooo bitter. I NEED CHEMICAL SWEETNERS! The food is awesome though. So get over here! read more

Well one thing to start off is the front of the house needs work. We were told 30 min and we were seated in just over an hour. They typically had tables that needed bussing, just sitting around. Everyone waiting agreed that it was not a good way to start your experience. I can see why they have so many not so great reviews. The replies from the reviews state they will work on it. They heed to get it right, if they want to remain open. Our server Gina greeted us and got our drinks and order going quickly. She poured on the loving and smoothed out the long wait. Finally someone with a sense of urgency. So she gets the save. The food is great! So overall a 3 for total experience. If they could just get the front seating and bussing issues corrected they would have a winner for sure. read more

Our server was very courteous and it's tough to write a less then stellar review. It did take a good 15 minutes before we ever had someone take our order. Three of of our four dishes were very good. The kids crepe was cold and had no flavor. Our server did replace it with a pancake which was very good. If their had been a shortage of staff, I would understand but their were plenty of staff walking around. I understand it's a new place but this isn't acceptable. We have eaten at the Frisco location, so we thought we would try to Prosper store. I saw many bad reviews about service, but the service today was excellent. People were coming in and seated immediately and orders were taken. So my wife got the oatmeal which comes with fruit, pecans, brown sugar with one of their excellent blueberry muffins. I got the trifecta which is a Belgium waffle, two eggs, and bacon. My wife said the oatmeal was excellent. My food wasn't very hot and one piece of the bacon was a little under done. But it all tasted really good. I think the problem with the food temperature of my food was left the plates were so cold. We will definitely be back. I really wanted to like this place, but it was very lackluster. I ordered their fresh squeezed orange juice along with their Eggs Benedict. The orange juice was supposed to be fresh squeezed, but it didn't taste like it nor did it have any pulp in it....and it just didn't taste fresh squeezed. Once I receive the Eggs Benedict, I was oddly confused. It came out on a hard, cold, untoasted French bread, which seems like a CRIME to me since it should ALWAYS be served on a toasted English Muffin! I grew up eating Eggs Benedict quite often with my Mom who's from New Zealand, with a strong England background and I think the Queen would be highly upset to know that "Eggs Benedict" was being served incorrectly on French bread, of All things! No, but seriously I couldn't even cut through the HARD tough French bread and so I was Really disappointed. I brought it up to the waiter, who understood my disappointment and then brought me an English muffin that I could use, but the poached eggs and hollandaise sauce were cold by then.
