Service was a little slow, but as I watched the door, people just continued to flow in and for a Thursday, it stayed quite busy! The place is really nice clean, open, and I loved the bar area. Our server i think his name was Matt was great, super friendly, and the chef even checked on us, which I appreciated. We ordered a crawfish and snow crab boil with Cajun butter and added nitro. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The crawfish were small and overcooked, and everything was very salty. The crab and shrimp were also overcooked to the point we couldn't eat the shrimp. We did go around 8:30pm (they close at 9), so maybe that affected it. What really threw me off though was a staff member cleaning nearby who said out loud, "Did animals eat here or what?" while we were still sitting there. That was pretty disrespectful and uncomfortable. Overall, mixed experience. We came with a Reservation for 6 @ 7:15pm. Arrived 10 minutes early and they had 2 tables of 4 side by side and several booths open. But the hostess instead of combining the two table asked us to wait for our 7:15pm time.... While we had several Margaritas at the Bar (the 2 stars for awesome Bartender - he should be the Manager), the hostess sat others that arrived well after us in the side by side tables which could have seat us while the Booths remained open... So here we are at 7:30pm past our reservation with no table. Where is Management not supervising the Hostess....? Last time here; there are options with smarter hostesses. My daughter and I had a terrible experience here. This happened a few weeks after they opened. We ordered appetizers. And then entrees. They brought out the entrees not two minutes later. The entrees were cold. Not lukewarm cold. We told our waiter who sent over the person who delivered them. She said , well I brought them out, like that suddenly made them hot. I also told her how quickly they were delivered. And that we have not even been served our appetizers. She said and I quite, what do you want me to do. I said, just don't serve cold food. My family and I had an awesome experience at dinner tonight at fish city grill! First of all, our waiter Mitchell was so kind and helpful! It was our first time at any of the fish city grill locations, and he was patient answering our questions about the menu! He also checked in on us often to make sure we were okay. He also gave us a coupon for our next visit! Our meal was fantastic and much better quality than what I am used to experiencing in texas. We tried fish and chips, fried oysters, raw oysters (mermaid style), and some scallops that was on their daily special board. Everything was high quality and tasted great! I don't often crave seafood, but when I do I will be sure to stop in again. Dining on their patio was lovely on this gorgeous spring afternoon. After being at Urgent Care with my child, I placed an online order after seeing curbside pickup advertised on the restaurant's website. When I arrived, there was limited parking and no designated curbside area. I called the restaurant and was told by two different employees that they do not offer curbside pickup. I then asked how to cancel my order and receive a refund and was briefly told to "do it online." When I explained that I didn't believe that option would work, a manager was brought on to confirm that curbside pickup is not offered. We've been dining here regularly since this location opened and has been a go-to fish restaurant for us. Have recently missed visiting due to travel, etc. but upon returning recently found the following areas to get our attention: 1) Service has fallen off-quick to welcome and seat but takes much longer to receive even drinks (8 minutes average), 2) FCG has taken Roasted Jalapeño soup off the menu, and 3) service to receive check had to be requested and then took forever. We certainly hope some things change, and soon, as all 3 of these areas are concerning and if their staple Jalapeño is no longer available it may not be a total deal-breaker, but will certainly determine in many instances if I visit here or move over to a competitor. read more

Foof took forever and no one was there. There were maybe six customers and order was not what I wanted. Ordered fish sandwich with NO tartar sauce and it was all over it. Fries were cold and not fresh. Sent food back and since it took so long we had to share my husband's fish tacos and leave. Tacos were not great. 2 stars. Waitress gave us a coupon for next visit. Dinner third visit. Wanted to try again. Calamari cold. Sent it back. Guessing they popped it in the microwave. It was rubbery but the mayo cream sauce is delish. Three entrees Shrimp and oysters was also cold. Sent it back. Fries were good the second go round. Did not like the slaw. Too much vinegar. Others loved it. Grilled shrimp po boy was delish. Shrimp and grits was pretty good. Had to ask for appetizer plates for three people to share an appetizer. Had to ask for dinner napkins. Had to ask for ice water. 2 stars. I wish I could rate a 4.8 because the food is great and the service is great but the restaurant smells just a little fishy when you enter, but you get used to it after a few minutes. But they have a blackboard with specials that are really good! I ordered a cornbread crusted salmon with sausage, red beans, rice and gumbo sauce. It was delicious! Just some good comforting southern food. I went back to order it again but it wasn't on the specials anymore nor the menu, but our server was awesome and said they could still make it for me! Which is why I rated a 5. The queso appetizer was pretty good, but didn't blow me away. And my husband tried the calamari and crab cake and loved it. He also loves the bacon wrapped scallop entree.
