We haven't tried this place yet and thought we would. Made a reservation on OpenTable, and glad we did, it was packed. Don't remember our waiter's name, but he's been there since right after they opened. He got us drinks quickly, went over the menu with us since it was our first time there. We had a fondue appetizer and it was excellent. We ordered 2 pizzas so we could do 4 different types since they allow you to do half and half, leftovers were good today. Pizzas were very good. The restaurant is a pretty cool place. Will definitely be back. read more

Really enjoy the pizza from pie tap! Their puffs (apps) are so good! The whipped butter with it is to die for and we got their chicken pizza for dinner. So flavorful and you can tell they are using quality ingredients. If you have Littles, they give them some dough to play with, which makes them messy but keeps them entertained and they have fun! read more

I dropped my container of ranch on accident, and the manager was very rude when I used a clean napkin nearby to wipe ranch off of my hand. "Well now that's dirty and I can't use it." Okay. Weirdo. We have eaten at Pie Tap several times and have always had good food and service. It was a nice evening and we wanted to sit outside. I walked past a chair to get back to my table and the bolt on the back of the chair ripped my jeans and scratched my leg. The server said, "That happened to me too." I didn't ask to speak to the manager because I thought surely she would, she didn't. We ordered dinner my daughter got her usual order and I decided to try their chopped chicken salad, I usually order their pizza. The salad was $17 and had very little salad and a crispy dry chicken served on the side. The chicken needs a drizzle of something on top or to be tossed in the salad. Won't order that again. The bill came and I thought maybe they might have comped my appetizer because of the jeans, but no, here's your $70 bill and please leave a tip, I did, but not as much as I usually would because now I have to go buy new jeans. read more

The food is amazing and consistent after going here twice now. The service is attentive with multiple people coming by to check on you. And the menu has quality dishes that you can share or eat on your own. It's darkly lit and cozy for a date night or even family, we have done both. After seeing pics of the food I was super excited to have lunch here. We started off with the garlic rosemary rolls which were amazing, as was the house made rosemary lemonade. I had the chicken parm and my mom had the hot honey chicken sandwich, both of which were extremely disappointing. The chicken in the sandwich was the same as the chicken parm - dry, flavorless chicken cutlets. The hot honey part of the sandwich didn't add much to the dry chicken - the highlight of this dish was the average French fries. The chicken parm was smothered in cheese and sauce but it didn't mask the sad chicken. The noodles it came with were good, however the raw garlic in the sauce was not. Our waitress was great, but the food coming out of the kitchen was incredibly slow. I definitely won't be back. read more

I've been to other Pie Tap locations before, and this one was similar to the others. We usually sit at the bar whenever we visit. But we chose a table because we had an extra guest. The service was great (note that the bartenders have also been great during our other visits as well). This recent visit confirms for me that we really only like the fondue, pizza, and cocktails. They used to have sandwiches, I think (it's been a while) and those were good. I may try the pasta next time. Our salad and meatballs left much to be desired, though. We're happy just having the fondue/bread and drinks, though. Wish I'd gotten a pic of the fondue, but it was inhaled immediately...whoops. read more

Just ate here, food was decent but the service was better. I sat at the bar and the bartender and manager treated me well, I forgot their names but both men treated my friends and I like we knew them personally. Food came out quick and my mushroom pizza was great, I hope to have this same experience again when I come back with more people. Would 100% recommend. read more

The chicken parm was just ok. Spaghetti side needed more sauce, especially how thick the noodles were. Flavor overall was a bit bland. When I picked up my take out order there was no one to great me and I had to search around to find where the put the pickups. No utensils in the bag which was rough considering I was on my way to sit with mom at the hospital. I scrounged up a random spoon which made eating an interesting challenge. I paid extra for bread rolls only to find they forgot to put them in bag. Most places at least give you a roll or two with the meal much less charge you and then not put it in the bag. Paid extra for broccolini and mushrooms. Good amount of mushrooms but broccolini was pathetic and almost completely stems only. I might try them again for the pizza because of the description of the dough, but not holding much hope on the toppings as options seem limited. Over all not worth the prices they charge. read more

Hands-down the best restaurant of any kind in Frisco, and in my top 3 for all of DFW. Foodies will love the unique dishes at Pie Tap. Spectacular variety and quality of food. They are severely underrated and should be 5 stars across the board on Yelp and Google Maps. Excellent sourdough pizza and several mocktails. Great service - ask for Adrianna. The manager and all the servers clearly love working here and go above and beyond to be attentive and make sure your family has a five-star experience. Pleasantly surprised to find this isn't just a regular pizza joint, it has hummus, pita bread, wagyu smashburgers, truffle parmesan fries, hot honey truffle chicken sandwiches, homemade doughnuts, fondue, meatballs, the list goes on. Can't wait to try their amazing brunch options. So many mouth-watering options that I'll be here at least once a week for the next year. Their happy hours are from 11am to 6pm -- WOW! Signed up on their app and got $10 free food too. Pie Tap has set themselves apart from boring, run-of-the-mill chain restaurants with the same old boring menus and appetizers and entrees. Almost every dish at Pie Tap is unique with its own flair. The chefs have clearly thrown down the gauntlet when it comes to having the most unique, exciting variety of options for every palate. Salmon? Check. Pasta options? Check. Salads, cocktails, beer, wine, dessert, check, check, check, and yes, please! They'll even hand-shave parmesan at your table and let your young kids play with raw pizza dough and teach them how to add flour and knead it themselves on a paper plate. How fun! Who does that?? Really enjoyed this new pizza place! Even though it was a busy Friday, they were able to find a table for us and the wait staff was very attentive and quick with service! We got there for happy hour and enjoyed two $14 pies and half price wine which was awesome! Variety of seating arrangements for different size/styles of groups so something for everyone! read more

Extremely disappointed. Ordered a brunch pizza on Sunday at 1pm, by 2:05, still no pizza. We asked our waiter to box it up to-go. He stated it would take too long and he would just take the pizza off the tab. Would love to know if the food is good as we never had a chance to eat after an hour+ long lunch. We came in the other day as we are regulars here, it was very busy the kitchen was working hard, there was a 1 manager was in the kitchen helping & new manager Tracy was helping put out food, running around into the kitchen to help, talking to other tables and smiling the entire time. We got tired of watching her move so fast. Great to see a manager who cares that much about what she does, cares about the staff and guests. Things like that make a world of a difference when dining out, it makes the experience so much more enjoyable. Food is always amazing we have never had a complaint! Great kitchen staff!
