I don't know what I was thinking going back to Heyday a second time. The first visit was bad enough, but apparently they took that as a challenge and said, "Hold my lukewarm beer." The hamburgers? Frozen meat patties that tasted like they'd been excavated from the back of a 2019 freezer. My fish and chips came with fish that smelled like it had been on a week-long bender in a dumpster behind the pier. And the lobster ravioli? Let's just say the only thing "lobster" about it was the price tag. The pasta was sad, the filling was suspicious, and the whole thing felt like a culinary war crime. But hey, at least the ambience is great! Beautiful lighting, nice decor, perfect for pretending you're having a fancy night out... while quietly plotting your escape to literally any other restaurant. Oh, and don't worry about the shortcuts -- when they're done disappointing your taste buds, they'll hit you with a credit card fee for the privilege. Nothing says "we care about your experience" like charging you extra to leave poorer and hungrier than when you arrived. Save your money, your dignity, and your stomach. Go somewhere else to eat. Heyday is a maintained staple on our upscale dining list. I also love that it's not far from home and that they've added mocktails to the menu. My sons and husband love a cherry bomb and I rotate my options out. I've never been disappointed by a mocktail here. Heck, I've never been disappointed by any appetizer or entree for that matter either. They've got half off appetizers on weekdays from 2-6pm and on our last family visit we ordered FIVE of them (deviled egg cupcakes, pork belly, arpe.... those ball things, calamari, and wontons). The red sauce comes with the ball things and calamari needed salt or sugar or both--it was a bit flat, but didn't make a huge difference to our meals. Our server on our last visit was Nad and he was attentive balanced with giving us space--he showed up when we needed him and had excellent timing. One thing I want to point out is that because we love this place so much, we've gone there for birthdays and anniversaries. There's something in me that loves pairing a memorable occasion with a favorite place. However I DO NOT recommend this place for a special event. We've tried for at least our three last special events, always mentioning the event, and nothing special happens. I don't need free ice cream, but there's not even an acknowledgment or "thank you for celebrating with us." Great place for a date night or girls night, but not for a special celebration. read more

Stopped by Heyday for nightcap cocktails and it was industrial yet warm and welcoming inside. The service was excellent as well and the craft cocktails were made perfectly. The smoky old fashioned has a hint of peach and nice smokiness to it. The Pinky Pony Club was SO delicious and super cute with the silhouette dust of the pinky pony. My friend got the blind melon and it looked absolutely perfect for a warm summer night but sadly I'm allergic to melons so couldn't try it. Would love to try the food here next time. read more

Great experience and amazing service! My family and I came in late on a Saturday night, and everything was perfect. The food was absolutely amazing, and the drinks were just as good. I've heard they get really busy during brunch (which makes sense!), but even at night the vibe was great. Nice place that's located downtown. Be mindful of what time you go as this place can get quite busy. They do offer reservations, which I recommend doing unless you can snag a place at the bar. We had a large group, so we opted for earlier reservations. We ordered several different things, starting with the charcuterie board, calamari, French fries, and the glazed pork belly. The charcuterie board was simple and came with pickled onions (my fav) and a whipped herb spread that paired well with the pita and crackers. The calamari was crispy and came with two sauces; a chipotle ranch and a marinara. The marinara was quite chunky, though the chipotle ranch was a nice addition. The glazed pork belly was absolutely delicious; perfectly caramelized with a rich, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The sweet-savory glaze added just the right amount of depth and balance that kept you coming back for more. The entrees consisted of several salads; house and the grilled romaine, the American burger, chimichurri steak quesadilla, and fish and chips. The salads were fine and what was expected. The burger however was ok for what it was; didn't have a ton of flavor. The steak quesadilla was alright as well; a tad greasy, but wished the steak had a tad more flavor. The fish and chips were probably the best entree of the night. The portion was huge with the fish being golden and crispy on the outside, while tender and flaky on the inside. The chips were interesting; they were flat steak fry size, but perfectly cooked and crispy. The fish paired well with the zesty tartar sauce. Overall, the food was fine, with the pork belly and fish and chips being surprisingly better than expected. The food was reasonably priced for the portion size. I found it interesting though that the fries accompanying other meals were the usual type of fries, while the "chips" were a completely different type of fry. It was a busy night with the cinco de mayo event taking place, but the service was friendly and attentive, making our first visit even better. A tremendous amount of care and selection has been put into the decor, the staff, the service, the food and the drinks. Whether you're a local or just visiting, you'll absolutely walk away satisfied and looking forward to your next experience here. The Food: They have a solid menu offering and seasonal rotations. I've tried dinner, lunch and now their brunch. Anything from an absolutely amazing goat filet (which I don't think they have up any more), the Ahi Wonton Tower, tenderloin tacos, Creamy Dill Salmon, Blackberry & Brie Grilled Cheese or Crab Cake Benedict. It's divine. The Drinks: Let's start with my favorite. Sage Against The Machine hand crafted with the utmost of style and perfection with Hibiscus Infused Fords Gin, Cream de Violette, Orgeat, Pineapple, Citrus, Sage. The Espresso Martini is another fav. My husband and I dined at Heyday on a Saturday around 6 pm and were seated immediately, but the restaurant fills up quickly. It is on the smallish side for a restaurant, but very nice decor. We had great service throughout our visit and the deviled eggs and American Burger were delicious and reasonably priced. Cocktails are okay, but not quite worth the price. Menus are available via a QR code only. Our server said it is because they are still working on refining their menu. The food menu has a lot of variety, but given that the restaurant is loud, I would not care to eat here for the menu items priced above $20. We were visiting family and wanted to try something different. The 1st place we went to was way too busy so we looked for another option and lucked up on this gem. I loved the decor and ambiance. My Mom had the crab cake benidict and she said it was loaded with crab and no fillers she loved it. I have the classic breakfast with biscuits. Finally Celina is getting some decent night out options! Heyday is a cocktail restaurant with superb cocktails!! I've been here twice already, first time with hubby for lunch and second time with a friend for drinks and snacks. Every cocktail I've tried here has hit the mark and the food is good as well! The ambiance reminds me of a trendy Dallas spot (think Apothecary vibes if you've ever been there) and their mixologists at the bar are friendly and fun to talk to. The menu for their cocktails is extensive and the prices are really reasonable for the quality of their drinks. I have yet to try their dinner entrees but the appetizers and brunch foods are great. This is definitely going to be one of our new go to spots and love that it's only a few minutes from my house! read more

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and figured it was the perfect time to try since my mom was visiting from out of state. Our server was the female bartender and things started off okay. She came back to take our order and didn't write anything down even though we had a couple of modifications. We ordered an app and 3 entrees. All of our entrees come out and the app never did. She never came to check on us and we finally flag her down and we let her know the app never came, we needed some mayo and we'd like a refill. She comes back with mayo, a refill of regular coke (we had diet) and says she never put the app in and asked if we still wanted it. Didn't apologize once. We say no to the app because what's the point now. We ask another server for the manager and he was very nice and apologetic and discounted our bill and gave us some dessert. The other bartender who was the lead also came over and apologized to us and said he was supposed to be watching over her so he was at fault too. The food was great though! Both my mom and I have careers in hospitality so we know what basic good service is, I hope they learn from it because this place has amazing potential. read more

My husband and I enjoy going out for a meal and we intentionally leave our phones in the car. We enjoy each others company and don't want the distractions. Fair warning though it's not true Bruchetta with motz, tomatoe, and basil. It's an olive spread with oil and ricotta. For dinner my husband got the Ribeye Tacos, and I got the Pork Chop dinner. Both were amazing. Only recommendation would to provide a steak knife with the pork chop to make it more upscale. Food and drinks great tonight....The service was great too....the only issue was a miscommunication by the waitress for $2 off cocktails. It was only certain cocktails apparently which she really didn't seem to have known before waiting on us. I've seen and spoken to one of the managers (who was not in charge tonight), and he has always been awesome. Tonight was a hot mess. It took almost 20 minutes to finally get the correct bill sorted out when the misinformation wasn't our fault. The waitress (who was so sweet) seemed flustered as did the manager on duty when I spoke with him. The place is always spotless with creative drinks and food. I just hate that I left tonight after a long, stressful day hoping to unwind and relax with a couple of great cocktails to need to find another drink asap as soon as I returned home from dinner at Heyday. All that over $4 (I had two drinks loll)...really? It's been ages since I've experienced as stressful of a night trying to eat out. I think it will be a good while before I return to Heyday.
