Sunday Brunch Favorite! This is definitely one of my favorite spots for Sunday brunch! The ambiance is clean, beautiful, and inviting, and the outdoor seating makes it even better on a nice day. The service was amazing--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food is always fresh and delicious! We had the chicken & waffles, breakfast sandwich with chicken and Gouda, and breakfast burritos. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. It's also a great spot for family brunch--relaxed, fun, and something on the menu for everyone. My only disappointment was the $25 bottomless mimosa. Unfortunately, I asked for a refund after drink #2. Both mimosas were flat and tasteless, with no bubbles at all--it tasted like warm, flat champagne mixed with juice. For a bottomless mimosa experience, the champagne really needs to be cold, crisp, and bubbly! I wouldn't recommend the mimosa option unless they change what they're serving. That said, the food, service, atmosphere, and outdoor seating keep this place on my favorites list. I'll absolutely be back... I'll just be ordering a different cocktail next time! read more

The host stand was unfriendly and seemed like they didn't want us there which isnt the best first impression. Our server was unfriendly too. The restaurant was lively and busy. The buffalo chicken dip seems a bit small for the price, but it's creamy and delicious and had the perfect tang to it. The pepperoni pizza was very good. I'd heard good things about this restaurant so my hubby stopped by for a late lunch. The service was great from the hostess to the server. The restaurant is clean & well maintained. My hubby & I shared the philly cheese egg rolls & they were ok but Del Frisco's has our heart. I ordered the Blackened Hot Honey Wings & they were decent. My husband ordered the Voodoo Chicken sandwich with the sauces on the side & he said he was decent. I enjoyed the wall tap situation, i tried a wine that I would get again. Gave this place a shot for happy hour and it did not disappoint over 30 beers on draft That rotate self serve on the wall was super cool plus root beer and lemonades nonalcoholic beverages. Also self serve on the wall. The kids thought that was super cool. Our waiter was energetic, polite, very knowledgeable and they made the whole experience very memorable. The food was so fresh and delicious. I would recommend this place for sure whether you're going for a quick snack and happy hour or a full on dinner great for catching up with friends and family or a date night as well. Stopped by for a quick happy hour with my mom. The experience was great! Oak & Stone is a cool concept. It's a large open, wide space filled with tables and booths. The bar area has multiple tv screens to watch and enjoy cocktails with family or friends. They offer a concept called the TAP WALL. The Tap Wall is a self service feature and is a good way to experience beer, wine and craft cocktails at your own pace: You tell your waiter and they provide you with a card that you scan. You taste what you want when you want. From there you grab a glass and you can try 40 to 60 different types of adult beverages. You close out your tab at the end and pay for what you sampled. This is a fun way to test out your options. The ambiance is simple, but the restaurant has a nice warm feel with neutral tones. The decor is perfect for the dining room. The location is good with other restaurants and retail. You can bar hop or shop all around the complex. My waitress Dalene was pleasant and friendly. I appreciated her willingness to help us. For food I decided to try a few things. I wanted to get a feel for the menu. I enjoyed the Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls. They were fantastic and flavorful. However, they needed a better dipping sauce. Beer cheese was not a good fit. A1 steak sauce was the best dipping sauce in my opinion. I keep a packet in my purse. We got all 3 dips: Ranch, Blue Cheese & Ginger Honey Mustard. People deserve an honest opinion of the food, not a misleading score that keeps them away from a great restaurant. Oak & Stone is Taverniffic. This is some of the best tavern/bar-style food in the Metroplex. The wings were so good that we ordered them three separate times during dinner. If you're coming here, the wings and the giant pretzel are non-negotiable. Order them. The biggest surprise of the night was the turkey BALT sandwich. The staff recommended it, and they absolutely delivered. It was outstanding and easily one of the best turkey sandwiches I've had. The bread was buttery and crunchy. Add in green apple, candied bacon, and Gouda, now we got a party. That may be my dream blunt rotation. Great food, great service, and a much better experience than the Yelp rating suggests. I'm usually in the habit of giving places the benefit of the doubt. However, that being said, I will probably never visit this establishment again! Went here on a Friday afternoon for HH and sat at the bar. There were some ppl seated, but by no means was it busy, and they seemed to be staffed appropriately. Although, they kept jumping into these "team huddles". The initial bartender that tended to us was very aloof and not customer-friendly AT ALL (asked if we knew what we wanted to drink as we sat down ‍). We were then greeted by another bartender that seemed much more customer-service oriented, and got us started off with drinks. Only to then be abandoned by her, as we watched her serving several other customers, but not us. We decided to intentionally wait to see if we got noticed, and much to our chagrin, no one (with 4 bartenders present) ever came back to see if we'd like to order or to just check-in. Needless to say, we closed out our check and vacated the premises as quickly, as possible. The place is fairly new, so maybe they'll work out the kinks. This review is for the happy hour. I went there this week with friends. Oak & Stone has pretty good happy hour deals. The Tito's and tonic is $6. That is a reasonable price but it was a weak drink. I got the wings and they were cooked well but none of the sauces were good. I'd pass on the wings. The pepperoni pizza is very tasty. It has a lot of pepperoni and was a great deal. Overall this is a nice new spot. I'd come back for the pizza and try another drink on the happy hour menu. The service is good and ambiance is casual. read more

This is a fun concept but we will give them a little longer to work the kinks out. I do not recommend them for gluten free pizza. I really enjoyed my meal, the pretzel crusted ahi tuna bowl. The tuna was so unique with the pretzel and it had a wonderful crunch. The quinoa was served cold, which surprised me, was expecting it to be warm when I took the first bite. The salad had a great sauce. The green dip in the middle was tasty. All the flavors mixed together was perfect. My hub didn't have a great experience. He wanted a beer, but didn't want the hassle of having to pour his own beer, I guess this is their model. Wanted to try this place as we had a pour your own craft beer bar in Illinois before moving to Texas. I love that format as you can try many different drinks without having to have a full pint. The main difference with the one in Illinois is that there was no food and no server seating you. I do miss Illinois having actual bars that don't have to serve food. The pretzel was fantastic and huge. Loved the cheese sauce. Pizzas were very good too. For the beers, I hope that they can keep cranking through kegs, because I would get bored coming here frequently with the same beers on tap. The atmosphere was great. The fried pickles, Brussels sprouts, and most of the other food were underwhelming, especially for the price. Everything felt overpriced for the quality we received. The beer wall seemed like a cool idea at first with all the different beers available, but most of the beers we tried tasted watered down, weren't very cold, and honestly just weren't enjoyable. Another issue was the food temperature. Everything came out warm at best instead of hot and fresh, which made the experience even more disappointing. The one bright spot was the service. Our server was friendly, attentive, and did a good job throughout the meal. Very disappointing experience. I ordered a tuna bowl and was served a chicken bowl instead. Mistakes happen, but what really frustrated me was the misleading advertising around the "bottomless mimosas." The menu advertises bottomless mimosas, but we were cut off after five drinks with no mention of any limit beforehand. If there's a maximum number allowed, that should be clearly stated on the menu instead of being advertised as bottomless. I even suggested that management update the menu to accurately reflect the policy and include any drink limits so customers know what to expect. Transparency matters. Between the incorrect order and the misleading promotion, this visit left a lot to be desired. read more

I have visited Hipdoddy's on several occasions & noticed Oak & Stone across the parking lot in McKinney, TX. Tried it out on 9/4; the food was overcooked and awful, the drinks were very overpriced, and finally to make matters worst I left my sunglasses on the counter of the bar and remembered after walking across the parking lot and returned to retrieve them and they were mysterious vanished. The bar area only had 2 couples other than us at opposite seating. I noticed there were cameras above the bar, so I called O&S to speak with a manager to view video; when I was told they call me right back. Since the report of this, I have not had a call from Oak & Stone. I would give no stars, as 1 is giving it too much credit. read more

If you enjoy going out for a nice, relaxing dinner and not having to worry about getting up and getting your own beverages, this is not the restaurant for you. There was nothing relaxing about this experience. The reason people go out to eat at full service restaurants is to have their food and drinks brought to them, not to have to wander around serving themselves. We visited shortly after the soft opening, so we expected a few hiccups. We mainly wanted to check out the vibe of the place. Inside, it honestly feels a lot like Buffalo Wild Wings. One wall has draft beer, mocktails, and sodas, while another wall has wine, tequila, vodka, and bourbon. You are given a card that allows you to pour your own drinks. My husband and I both got up to get beers, only to discover the pint glasses were warm. Definitely not a great start. We ordered the beer cheese dip with chips, which tasted good, but it came with maybe 12 chips total. We had to order another side of chips just to finish the dip, and yes, they charged extra for them. When my husband went back for another beer, the line blew and his entire pint filled with foam. He told the bartender, who said they could not help him and that he needed to find the person in charge of the draft beer section. That person was already helping someone else, so he had to stand there and wait. Eventually they removed the charge from our card and suggested an apricot beer instead, which was honestly terrible. At that point, he did not even want to get back up for another drink. I decided to try the wine wall, only to discover that each card only allows three beverages before it has to be reset. When I tapped my card, it said denied. The server explained the limit and reset it for me. Then, once I finally got to the wine dispenser, the bottle was empty. The employee there did not know how to replace it and had to go get someone else. It took nearly 15 minutes just to get a glass of wine. This entire concept feels convoluted and unnecessary for a restaurant. The food itself was actually good. I had the voodoo chicken sandwich and my husband had the mushroom Swiss burger. Both were delicious, but not good enough to make us want to deal with this experience again. I also could not figure out if they are trying to be a sports bar or a casual restaurant. There were televisions everywhere, but they were showing a four year old football game. My husband asked if they could put on the Rangers game, but they said they did not have the baseball package. Overall, the food was decent, but the self serve drink concept completely ruined the experience for us. We go out to dinner to relax, not to stand in line multiple times throughout the meal trying to get beverages and troubleshoot drink machines. read more

A friend and I visited Oak and Stone and took a seat at the bar. The bartenders were friendly, but unorganized and fairly slow, especially considering that the bar/restaurant wasn't busy. I had NAT'S ZESTY CHICKEN sandwich, and my friend had the SMOKED TURKEY BLT. Both were good sandwiches, but a bit on the pricier side for what they were. I tried the wall of beer, was a bit disappointed that the reason for selecting the beer card was for a beer that I subsequently learned had been tapped out.
