I came here for dinner to celebrate getting a new job, and it was my first visit. The space is a bit small but cozy, and I loved the celebrity photos covering the walls and even the ceiling. We started with the spicy Philly egg rolls and calamari. Both were flavorful, and the sauces had a nice kick. I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta, which tasted good, but the pasta was overcooked. The same issue came up with my daughter's mac and cheese. With how saucy both dishes were, an al dente noodle would have been better, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Went to the patio with my dog as there is a gate and thought it common practice to walk though said gate as opposed through the indoor area. Was completely ignored by the server attending the patio who had only three tables outside ( one being right next to where i was sitting and visibly scrolling through the menu via my phone) When i approached him and asked how to participate politely in getting service when i have my dog with me, he straight lied and said "oh i didnt see you"...bullsh, i was sitting next to one of your tables you touched 3 times! We had a pretty large group. This restaurant was suggested to our group since we had several with in our group that either deal with celiac or wheat allergies. However, the server upon inquiring about that menu was completely clueless and we waited about 10 minutes before she came back and essentially told us that we could have salads without croutons and using balsamic vinegar instead of the suggested dressing, short ribs without sauce or the salmon dish without sauce. I ended up ordering the grilled chicken Caesar salad without croutons I do have to say that the chicken was so dry. My husband had the salmon dish with the sauce and he said that was amazing. They did offer kids options, but apparently didn't have a menu that we could look at. The waitress rambled off the list and we just kind of went with that so one of my children had a cheeseburger with fries and the other had quesadilla. We were a little surprised that the quesadilla did not come with a side, especially since it was geared towards a kids menu. However, this quesadilla was huge. Now they did have a gluten-free lava cake that the four of us had split, which was quite tasty. The restaurant space is very tightly packed with chairs and tables. They really didn't have easy. I always to access the bathrooms. It was a very tight fit so whenever one of the kids needed to use the restroom. It felt like we were playing pinball, bumping off the chairs of other customers. The biggest wind was that they did have one of my husband's favorite after dinner drink - Licor 43 with espresso. Carajillo. So that was a huge win. read more

I've been here a couple of times before and the service has always been somewhat subpar, but we decided to come back because we enjoyed the vibe during hip hop brunch. Unfortunately, today's service was horrible. Our waitress acted as if we were an inconvenience from the start. She took our drink order and didn't return with them for about 15 minutes. After taking our food order, she essentially avoided our table for nearly an hour. About 30 minutes later, the food finally arrived -- but one meal was missing. Instead of checking in like most servers would, she continued to avoid our table. After trying to flag her down for around 10 minutes, I had to get up and find her myself to let her know the order was missing. Her response was, "What'd she have?" -- with no apology or concern, just an annoyed tone. She said she would "go see if it's on the ticket," then came back a few minutes later and said, "Well it's on the ticket, so I don't know where it is." At that point, we asked for the missing item to be removed from the bill and requested the check. She disappeared again for several minutes and returned with a tablet that didn't work (which I understand isn't necessarily her fault), but there was still no apology, no empathy, and no effort to make the situation right. The food took a long time and they got my order wrong. They brought me out the blackened chicken with cheesy grits instead if the short rib hash. I tried it and i found it to be underwhelming. The grits didnt have any flavor and the chicken was just ok. The wings we got extra crispy with asian sauce. They were light on sauce and it was like white people asian - maybe. Not great. I tried a bite of the chicken and waffles my friend ordered and it was ok, not great. My short rib hash that eventually came out was really really good. I had a weird interaction with our server. Normally when a place makes the wrong food or drink they ask you if you want to keep it since they have to toss it anyway. Our server was like no i have to take it. We had great dinner! Started with the meatballs, pretzel bites and theegg rolls. Each was very flavorful. My husband had naked and famous cocktail and I had the aviation gin with club soda instead of ginger. We each had the salmon, our friends had the healthy chicken and the Cajun chicken & frites. There may have been 2 ounces worth of chicken on the plate and it was almost like jerky from being way over cooked, much like the "poached" eggs which were cooked all the way through and hard. The grits were decent. My wife got the eggs Benedict and again the eggs were way over cooked and it seemed like the English muffin had just been popped on the bottom right out of the bag. No toast on it what so ever. Her potato hash was excellent though. Drinks: Overpriced and under liquored. Service: Our waiter was nice, but a bit pushy. We asked for a second to look at the menu and had returned about 30 seconds later asking if that had been enough time. We said no and he went to grab our waters again returning about 30 seconds after. On top of that he tacked on an 18% gratuity. Keep in mind it was just the two of us. We were not with a large party.
