I asked the bar about the dirty shelves used to store the beer glasses upside-down (see photo)? They told me the health inspector told them to remove the rubber mats as they were illegal? So, I called Food and Safety for Prosper myself to determine what the truth was (I did not mention the bar name; I was just curious? Based on the photo of the shelf, they knew immediately where I was. We went into this place yesterday to Watch Thursday night football. They have a bunch of TV's with the game on and a few TV's with some kind of trivia game. The game was beyond loud with music and questions we couldn't even focus on the game. We walked out of course and won't be back. Our server was nice but we could barely hear him too. I guess our waitress got off shift during our dining so there was one guy running all the tables and it took forever to get anything we asked for because of that. It is also a good spot for a pint and good food. On this fine day, my friend and I elected to partake if Hot Honey Pepperoni pizza and some garlic Parmesan wings. We placed our order and the food came out about 12 minutes later; piping hot for both and we had to let them sit for a while before we tried to sample. I'll start with the pizza, it is really really good!!! The crust and undercarriage cooked to a perfect crisp and the dough is just thick enough to hold the toppings and thin enough to not be the centerpiece of the pie. The wings are healthy and fired to perfection, tossed in the dry Nashville hot rub, and served with ranch and celery. There decent wings, even good.....but not spectacular. I'd prefer wet wings next time, but these were good. The food cost us under $30 for both and could feed 3 people if not too hungry; it feed to two ravenous big boys who can put away some food. This was my first time coming here, but we'll for sure be back! For an appetizer we got the trio. It's 2 types of salsa and 1 queso with chip. The green salsa has som jalapeños in it which I like for a kick. For my enteree I got the single sweet hear BBQ burger. SO GOOD! It has the right amount of heat but not too spicy. Food/Drink - 5/5 - Ordered the following: Petitcolas Wintervention - 5/5 - This beer was smoother than most. This is a 10 pt beer. Not for the weak. Strawberry Wheatness - 5/5 - Fan of wheat beer? Highly recommend. Great wheat beer with a hint of strawberry. Martin House Little Red - 5/5 - This blood colored sour Ale was my go to. This is a super strong beer (12.4%). Definitely a must try. Pretzels - 5/5 - Bite Sized pretzels with white queso. Great with the beers. Chicken Nachos - 5/5 - Massive portion. Great beer food. Wings - 4/5 - Buffalo flavored. The service was so incredibly poor that I had to write a list of all the things that we needed and handed it to the server. These were not extreme things they were things like silverware and a drink. For an example, I ordered a cheeseburger with onion rings, and it came out completely plain with not one single thing on it, and when I asked the server where all the side items like pickles and lettuce and everything were, she told me that I ordered a cheeseburger, that I didn't ask for anything else. I asked for ketchup and she handed me an empty bottle. Anybody that has gone out to eat should have the common sense to know how these types of things work. I was a server in grad school for multiple years and this particular individual could not think 1 inch outside the box. This was our second time at this restaurant and both times the service was poor. Last time it was a Saturday night and there was only one server and at least that individual did the best they could. We came here with some friends for dinner. I had looked at their menu online and the food looked good. However, what they advertise is not what you get. The nachos were absolutely terrible. There was little to no cheese on them. The meat was completely dry and lacked any sort of flavor. The loaded fries were just fries covered in a ton of sour cream. They didn't put bacon on them as the menu says and the cheese on these was non existent as well. The chicken tacos were decent. Not something I'd ever crave to have but it was definitely the best of the three items we got. Service isn't fantastic. While our server was super nice, we did have to wait almost 20 minutes for drinks. And that's not just for alcoholic drinks. We waited that long for water. Atmosphere is kind of that dirty pub feel. They have live music on the weekend. It was hard to have a conversation with how loud they were playing the music. Overall I was unimpressed with this place.
