I want to like this place, but just didn't have a good time. The biggest downer was that all of our food was just warm. The hottest thing on my plate of smoked chicken thighs was a little cup of gravy. If it had just been my plate then I would have asked for it to be warmed up, but everybody's food was lukewarm. We had called to see if they were serving corn beef and cabbage tonight and were very excited that they were . We've been here many times and it never disappoints. Most of the time there's a sign at the front that says SEAT YOURSELF. Any other place I usually turn around, it is either a dead place or you grab a seat and no one ever comes over. Kelly's is not like that. We were greeted within 30 seconds and our server Mathew grabbed our drinks while we looked over the extensive menu. I decided on the BBQ, with ribs, cheesy sausage, potato salad, and Parmesan Creamed Corn. The ribs were a bit dry but the sausage made up for it. The spuds were firm but not hard and the mustard dressing was light and creamy. I could have made a meal just out of the corn. My meal came with cornbread too but my wife stole it and said I couldn't have even a bite. She got "just a cheeseburger" and proclaimed it was the best burger she's ever had. Brie & Swiss with grilled red onions. I broke out laughing when they brought out the plate, stacked high with onion rings. We asked for a Togo Box right away-no way we were finishing this meal. Pro Tip: dip the onion rings in their homemade BBQ sauce, you won't be disappointed. Weekends they have a breakfast brunch starting at 10AM. The bun was slightly sweet and the meat was juicier than usual. I would definitely get Kelly's again. Kelly's Tavern Bar & Grill - Frisco Location This was my first time visiting Kelly's Tavern in Frisco, and it was an incredible experience! From start to finish, everything was spot on. Matthew greeted us right away, seated us, and ended up being our server. His attentiveness and friendly attitude really set the tone for the evening. We started with the Jalapeño Margarita, which was full of flavor with just the right amount of heat. For appetizers, we had the fried pickles and onion strings. The fried pickles were thick, hot, and crispy, paired perfectly with a creamy jalapeño ranch. The onion strings were mouthwatering--crispy, flavorful, and absolutely appetizer-worthy on their own. For my main course, I got the Beyond Burger topped with Brie cheese and mushrooms, alongside sweet potato fries. The Brie added a creamy, slightly sweet touch that paired beautifully with the savory burger and mushrooms. The sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection and served with a marshmallow dipping sauce that was downright addictive. Jason ordered the steak Caesar salad, and he loved it--the steak was cooked perfectly, and the salad was fresh and flavorful. And then came the star of the show: the Gouda Mac and Cheese. I can't believe I almost forgot to mention it--it was phenomenal. Creamy, rich, and packed with flavor, it was hands-down the best mac and cheese I've had in a long time. We sat in the bar area, which offered the perfect blend of a relaxed yet lively atmosphere. With multiple TVs visible from where we sat, it was easy to keep up with the game while still enjoying the dining experience. To finish things off, we had the Sangria Swirl Margaritas, which were so smooth and refreshing they went down almost too easily! Overall, Kelly's Tavern in Frisco is a must-visit. Kelly's Craft Tavern is a veteran-owned establishment that has great food with a full bar with a huge seleciton of beers! They have a lot of bar seating, dining room seating, and outdoor patio seating when the weather's nice. It was waay to cold when I visited this time so I ate inside. I went with a 10 ounce steak accompanied with a cup of the jailhouse elk chili and pinto beans as my sides. For my drink, I with the Twisted X Brewing Company McConauhaze. The steak was cooked to order and was super juicy. The chili and the beans were delicious as well. There were plenty of available seats when I visited, so I was seated quickly. I do imagine this place can get quite busy since they have such a huge selection of beers to go along with the full bar. read more

Yelp 100 Challenge 2023 #75 Delicious food and good service. Kelly's Craft Tavern is located beside Rodeo Goat and in the Buffalo Wild Wings Shopping Plaza. This location has plenty of parking located out front. I recommend trying their Brisket Chips and Adult Grilled Cheese. Both items have brisket on it and it is by far my favorite. My husband has tried their burgers and he has enjoyed every burger he has tried. Kelly's is a typical tavern with plenty of seating, drinks and outdoor seating. I like that they decorate the interior based on the current season and often run different specials. They offer a special brunch menu every Saturday & Sunday from 10am - 2pm and have a long beer menu. read more

Terrible experience tonight. Sisi our server cut us off when ordering about our soup being brought before our food. Our soup was then brought out with our food leaving us the decision of eating the soup while our food got cold or just eating our food - we just chose to eat our food. Immediately when our food was brought I asked for the ranch that came with my burger- we then had to ask twice more before we got ranch but not before she made a snarky comment about it. I don't remember if they usually ask how you want your burger cooked but Sisi sure didn't and my fiancés burger came out a lot more pink than we like. We asked Sisi if she could take the soup off our bill because we didn't wan't to pay for something we didn't get to enjoy. She took it off and then made a comment 'sorry you didn't want your burgers to get soggy' with an attitude when she brought the check. Immediately upon asking for a manager she switched up and was so nice again. The only reason my review is 3 stars is because the manager Matthew made things right, apologized and gave us a gift card as an apology. read more

This was one of my favorite spots in the area to eat at, but our last experience has changed that entirely. If you eat here and your waitress is Sisi, I highly recommend you leave immediately. Worst service I've ever received at a restaurant. When we went to order, we ordered soup to share, and we specifically asked Sisi to bring it out before our entrées. Sisi cut us off with the typical "Oh sure no problem" but she was obviously not listening. When the soup was bought out to us, so were our entrees. Because of this we didn't get to eat our soup as our food was already getting cold. The burger I received was also near raw while the outside was close to burnt. Sisi also failed to bring a condiment that we had to ask 3 times for. When we asked if it was supposed to be on the burger to begin with, because it's listed that way on the menu, she got defensive and said it's supposed to come on the side, which it never did. After asking three times, she threw the kitchen staff under the bus and was rude when bringing it to us. We mentioned that the soup was supposed to come out before our entrées and asked for it to be comped since we did not get to eat it. Sisi rolled her eyes and immediately took no accountability and blamed her having multiple tables for failing to listen to our request earlier. A couple minutes later, she came back and angrily plopped the check down the table and snarkily said "I'm sorry you didn't get to eat your soup because you didn't want your burgers to get soggy" while continuing to roll her eyes. At that point, we asked for a manager to talk to about our experience, and she refused to get a manager at first, claiming that they were busy. We doubled down and eventually the manager, Matthew came by. He was understanding and apologetic for her actions and was able to comp a bit more of our meal and provide a gift card as it was also my Fiancés birthday dinner. He is the only reason this review is not a one star. I hope that no one ever has to deal with Sisi's antics and disrespect being a paying customer like we were. Awful experience. read more

First time trying this place, we went for lunch. The patio outside was huge and I loved how we could watch the World Cup on the TVs out there. For lunch we got the fried pickles to start. The ranch was spicy but delicious. This order of pickles is HUGE. comes with some onion rings too. For entrees we got the burger for my boyfriend and the chicken tacos for me. Horrible from start to finish We went there on a Sunday night because it was the only place open. Big mistake. The first sign of trouble was the fact that half the restaurant was blocked off. There was a sign that said seat yourself, but there was no place to sit. The next thing was they had no meatloaf. So I ordered a chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and okra and it was pretty decent. But my girlfriend ordered a salad and it came out about a half hour after my chicken fried steak arrived. To make matters worse, she asked for balsamic vinegar dressing and they put Caesar dressing on it. So when they took it back to make the salad over, it took another 30 minutes. She also asked for a side of shrimp that did not come with the salad when it arrived. At this point, we had them box it up to go as we had already been here way too long. When my girlfriend got home and tried the salad that they had boxed to go, it was horrible. Do not go here. We would've been better off going to Taco Bell or McDonald's. read more

Good spot great food great service. Parking was easy. we had a party of abut 12-15 folks and everyone was accommodated and there were no issues. We had zero issues with orders and food and everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was excellent, no long waits and no issues with getting someone to focus on our section. Overall I recommend and will visit again. I can't speak to eye candy due to I really did not get to check out the restaurant. However, from what I was able to see there were plenty of guest, a bar and looked like everyone was enjoying themselves. So go check it out. read more

Came in on a slow Monday afternoon for lunch, my server (who I'm choosing to not name) greeted me quickly and got an order in quick, my server was nice but kept everything surface level, little to no personality. I ordered the buffalo wings and BBQ club per their recommendation, the brisket was dry, the meat had no flavor, and it tried to make up for that in size, this thing is huge and unwieldy. The wings were good but it's hard to mess those up. The restaurant has a nice vibe though, modern yet old school, and 52 beers on tap, seems fun for a sports event but don't expect too much.
