The dynamite shrimp were wonderfully crispy and had a great flavor to them. The service was helpful and friendly and our server knew the menu well which was helpful. They had many pizza options to choose from. The Brussel sprouts appetizer was hardly cooked and they were still really hard. The spaghetti sauce was clearly from a cheap jar as it was very sweet and almost inedible. The pizza was made with cheap, low quality ingredients as well. I would not recommend. read more

Let me start by saying that this is the second time I've eaten at a Rotolo's....and I don't even remember the first time.... So anyway the boyfriend had a craving for pizza and when I was looking at places I saw that Rotolo's had a Detroit style pizza that had whipped ricotta and honey so of course I had to have it. I placed my order online for a that and a regular meat lovers... and both came out to over $50! Thats crazy expensive especially for the size of the pizza. So I went to pick up my order and when I went to check, I noticed that my Detroit style pizza had no sauce on it...just bread and cheese and a few measly sausage slices. So alerted the host to this and he said he would check and make sure it was correct. I showed him the picture of the pizza and said this looked nothing like it. When he came back with my pizza he apologized and said that they forgot to add the hot honey but that the pizza was good to go. I once again reiterated that this did not look like what was advertised online but he assured me it was. I took it all the way home hoping that the missing toppings were maybe underneath everything. But alas..they were not. So I called and explained the situation, and of course told to come back and pick up a new one. So I drove all the way back...which lucky for me was only about 10 mins away... The pizza I got the second time looked just like the one online... so why did this previous host not catch on to that?? Anyway the pizza itself was just underwhelming...i felt like it was just a vessel for the sauce and they did not have a lot of meat on it. The crust was really good though and crunchy and my boyfriend really liked his meat lovers. I can see why I didn't remember it the first time. So this may be the last time I ever eat here. Just wasn't my cup of tea. But oh well! The hostess that helped me out the second time was really nice and the restaurant itself was clean and beautiful inside. read more

Came here for lunch with my bonus family the day after Christmas as a recommendation. This place is bigger than it looks from the outside. Our waitress was extremely nice with the right amount of attentiveness to our semi large table. Everything we ate was amazing! The crust on the pizza was perfection even under all the sauce. Who would have thought to put boudin on fries and a pizza well, if you never thought about it, you should definitely try it because OMG it was amazing. From the tables discussion of all the pizza's they wouldn't do the deep dish again only because we all have had it in Chicago and it didn't compare but ask the other pizzas are hands down amazing. We came in rather early so it was rather quiet but the atmosphere was still so warm and welcoming. If you're weary from a rough day from work, they have an excellent beer selection here. Our waitress was so lovely and gave us fantastic recommendations. The boudin balls aren't bad for being in Texas and there's a mild heat. The pizzas themselves are really good. Excellent crust and lots of flavor packed in. I personally liked the Angry Pig a lot because you get a sweet and spicy kick. Came here for a book club meet and absolutely loved it. There was a bunch of us and the servers managed us very well and quickly. I love that their pasta's have the option to be zoodles if you want to substitute it. I got the chicken parm with zoodles and absolutely devoured it. A lot of places will over cook the zoodles and it ends up being a mushy mess. Here it was cooked tender but still had a bite to it. Portions are generous. Appetizers are a disappointment. They have reduced portion sizes and increased prices. Service is the one downside. They are understaffed, and it shows. Servers tend to be inattentive, and our last visit it took almost 30 mins to get our pizza, despite the fact that there were only about 6-7 tables of patrons. read more

We've dined many times and love it - you can order any of the pizzas in any crust type! Their happy hour deals are fantastic both for food and drinks. Tried out this location since we pass by it often. It was clean and felt really laid back. Went on a Thursday and they had a deal on beers, 3 dollars! The diamond in the rough... And what I have to say is nothing but loads of good news. The calamari was good really good. The breading is nice and crunchy. The presentation was very pretty and the dipping sauce was actually really nice and sweet kind of Chinese but not. Just kidding it tasted a lot like sweet-and-sour sauce from the panda. Now I came here specifically to have a deep dish pizza which I've never had before so I can't tell you if it's above average or not but I can't tell you it was good. It used to be our family spot for lunch/dinner. AJ bartender/waiter is always rude, we avoid Monday - Wednesday just because AJ is there. He is always rude, lazy and does not want to take our order. He has treated my family with aggressive behavior throwing/tossing menus at us. Rolling his eyes as soon as we walk in. I have complained multiple times. We have no issues with rest of staff, always accommodating. We are respectful but it is very difficult to enjoy when my family feels threaten and at risky for the safety of your customers. He needs to be FIRED! A man aggressive to women and children is a risk for your business. read more

My work team went to check the newly opened Rotolo's out. My meal was totally disappointing. I ordered the fried squid and it was nearly inedible. The squid was so rubbery. I'm not sure if it was low quality squid or overcooked or what but I legitimately had a hard time biting into it. Since I was with teammates, I didn't want to make a scene. I was totally disappointed for the price of my meal. I tried a coworkers figgy piggy pizza he ordered. It was so sweet it could have been a dessert pizza. I guess the crust was fine, but I was so overwhelmed by the honey and fig flavor without any substantial marriage with a counter balancing meat or salty or spicy flavor, that any yummy-ness of the crust was overlooked. 3 stars instead of 2 stars because I didn't get food poisoning and no one else seemed to have issues with their meals. Very rude staff when I called and so when I gave attitude back due to poor communication on their end, she told me she wouldn't talk to me if I was going to talk that way. As a chain, they need to improve their menu. If *free* gluten friendly crust is not available at all locations it should be specified. As you can see on this screenshot I have selected Carrollton and the menu still shows free gluten friendly 12" and +$3 for a 10" cauliflower. Now why would I go there and pay more for less pizza? Unfortunately, we will not be visiting this establishment and I urge rotolos to update their website to better communicate that the free gluten friendly crust is not available at all locations. read more

Just tried this place and it was a small, strip mall place but very cute. Nice full bar for a small place with lots of tap bars. Might not have every bottle but had a nice selection of liquor. Mostly this was for craft beers. Quite a few on tap, 15 or 20 but didn't count. Maybe more! Started with the Parmesan bites (balls) and those were very tasty! Surprisingly. Pizza was good, tried 2 different ones. Spent $100+ and had 2 beers each plus 1 cocktail. For a Saturday lunch, kinda pricey but we had leftovers to take home. We are huge fans now, and I love how close this is to our house off Hebron. We have enjoyed the happy hour specials and loved sitting at the bar. The staff is still figuring stuff out and aren't the most friendly...but the food makes up for it. The Detroit pizza is great- but it's way too heavy to get often. But a square slice will make you feel like you're eating something incredible and then bring that sh*t home for your adult children who can't afford their own (and come raid our fridge when they're low on grocery money.) The cracker thin pizza was honestly our favorite and probably our go-to now. The crust is so flavorful without being heavy; and the toppings were plentiful. We could only eat a few slices. The Brussels sprouts were so good! But the star of the show is definitely the burrata caprese salad. I have literally dreamed about it since we left the restaurant! That burrata...chef's kiss! They are still fairly new in this location, so maybe try to go when they're not extremely busy. Even the hostess seemed stressed and annoyed during a busy time. We got the best service during the week before 5pm. And happy hour specials! Giving them 5 stars because the food is worth every penny! Plus, our last Rotolo's off 121 closed a few years ago and I don't want that to happen again! Owner/managers who see this: get some customer service training to take this all up a notch! We loved Rotolo's when it was in Frisco and love this new location even more. It is beautiful inside. They have great prices and specials and the food is consistently good. The most I can say is that it's ok pizza and sides, but way overpriced. We ordered a Detroit style pizza and some garlic bites (basically fake garlic knots). The garlic bites lacked a lot of garlic flavor, but tasted ok. The problem was the value for the pizza. When it came out to us, we thought they made a mistake. It's TINY for $22! The Parmesan crust was tasty, but overall it was just mediocre. Skip this place and head to Zoli's for Detroit style pizza. A better value and better flavor. read more

This place just opened a couple of weeks ago. We went on a Friday of their first week. They were slammed with business, so we ate at the bar. The service was slow at first (my irritation was starting), but they recovered and gave us good service after the slow start. I'm glad we sat at the bar, because it gave us a chance to see their beers on tap and ask the bartender for recommendations. We decided that if it's just the two of us, we'll sit at the bar in the future. We shared a pizza and an appetizer, which were both good. The beers on tap made the experience exponentially better. We will go back regularly to this local place as long as it keeps the good service and the food is good. read more
