2025 - Yelp 100 Challenge- #76 Delicious pizza located in near Frisco Square. Pizzas can be shared or they can be consumed individually. My favorite is their oil based cheese pizza (white pizza) and arugula salad. Our server was friendly and offer great suggestions on different menu items. This cozy Pizzeria gets busy fast so go early or book a reservation to sure you don't have a long wait.

Great pizza. Decent service. We ordered some wine and a pizza and the bartender seemed to be giving us a hard time for not ordering more food. The pizza is not an individual size, enough for 2-3 people.

The pizza was fresh and the crust was good. The Aperol spritz was perfect and well balanced. Salad was refreshing. Service was quick, straight to the point

I've been coming to this place for many years and throughout the years, it has stayed very consistent. The vibes of the place are very charming and authentic to make for a great date night spot, catching up with friends, or just bringing your family for a nice dinner. Something that stood out last night was that we thought the place was full and we'd have to wait 30+ minutes to be seated, but we got seated right away. Food was also delicious. We got the vesuvio calzoni and the margherita gluten free pizza!

First timer here but will definitely become a regular. The pizza here is so delightful, thin, full of flavor and perfect portion as an individual pizza or to share with others. I like my pizza on the crisper side which I initially asked for but shy'd away after our waitress said it may come out on the burnt side. Next time I'm going to ask them to the pizza in the oven for a few more minutes. I really enjoyed the San Marzano sauce. Prices are a bit on the higher side but definitely worth it. Ambiance is low key, not too noisy, great place. Only down fall was window sills were a bit dirty so there were so many flys in our area. Service was 6/10, didn't see our server much. Overall 8/10.

Came to Pizzeria Testa to celebrate a friend's birthday! Before this, I had only been to the Lower Greenville location, so I was excited to check this one out. The space is very clean, and a lot more warm with the brown tones spread throughout the restaurant. We were seated at a 4-person high top table, and though the table space was a little small, it worked for just two of us. Service was amazing, our server was so sweet, accommodating, and really added to our experience. I got a cocktail and it was pretty strong - definitely a sipper. We ordered the focaccia and olives - and to my surprise, it was not focaccia. I am not sure why it was labeled as such on the menu, but it was more of pita-bread slices of something else. This was also very chewy and at times, difficult to pull apart. I ordered a calzone and swapped the meat for garlic and mushrooms. This was great, and HUGE! I had lunch the following day. My friend ordered a marg pizza and enjoyed it. We were offered a free dessert to celebrate her birthday, which was so yum and much appreciated. We went with the tiramisu! Overall, this was a pretty positive experience (minus the ambiguous focaccia-not-focaccia), and I would return!

Testa Rossa Not a great pic of a phenomenal pizza! Spicy and flavorful with such fresh tomatoes and Basil, I love it. Obsessed with this place!

One of the authentic Italian restaurants in town. We had a really nice time dining here. The tiramisu was delicious. The pizza was too good. The restaurant is huge and they also have outdoor seating. They also have a bar. The atmosphere can get a bit noisy sometimes. They customize the orders according to our choices

I don't write reviews often...only when I'm blown away by the food, service or atmosphere. Tonight, all three were hit out of the park. If you venture to the FC Dallas / Toyota Stadium, you must stop in and give this restaurant a shot! Sit at the bar. Ask for Lyric. Order your food and let Lyric (bartender, server, master of all) make you a drink. If you're lucky, Riley, may stop by to help prep the outgoing drinks. Stay for a bit. Enjoy the atmosphere. I promise, you'll be back. I know we will.

Can we BYOB here? Would like to celebrate a birthday with a specific wine that is only sold in certain locations.

No - reach out to the manager, he may be able to order your specific wine.

Yeah try and see what happens.

So you have a gluten free crust? But, do you also prepare gluten free pizzas on a surface or pan that separate from the flour crusts? And do your cooks do a glove change for prep work and have a list of gluten free toppings?

What ingredients go into crust?? I'm on a special diet.

Hi Barbara. We only use 4 ingredients in our crust: purified water, fresh yeast, sea salt, and type "00" flour that we import from Antimo Caputo in Italy. That flour is non-GMO Italian flour.

When they hit, they are genuinely enjoyable. That said, the menu is uneven. Some dishes are just fine, and a few were disappointing enough that I would not order them again. The bigger issue is value. The pricing feels aggressive for Frisco, especially given the portion sizes. Three small meatballs for $23 is hard to justify. The seafood risotto is $37, but the seafood itself feels underwhelming: very small shrimp, tiny scallops, and a few clams and mussels. It does not feel like the quality or quantity of ingredients matches the price point. Maybe they brought California pricing to Frisco, but at these prices, I expect more: better ingredients, more generous portions, and flavors that feel memorable rather than just decent. Overall, there are a few good dishes here, but the value proposition is difficult to defend.

The hostess added us to the list and said they would send a text once our table was ready. She even read our phone number back to us. We waited outside and 30 minutes went by before we went back inside to see how much longer. Yea, they somehow didn't actually add us to the list. There were plenty of tables available by then and they gave us a table immediately. We placed our order and after receiving everything except the penne alla vodka and waiting almost 20 minutes after we'd gotten everything, I asked where our pasta was. Our waiter said it should've come out long ago and he would check. Somewhere along the line, it was forgotten. Either it was never put in or the kitchen staff lost it. It ended up being on a completely separate bill because they had to put it in again. By this point, we were over this dinner experience. An extra hour had been added on due to no fault of our own. So why am I giving it 4 stars? Because the manager made it right. Patrick, the manager, came over to our table to talk to us. We politely explained how this evening was a failure across multiple points and he was very apologetic and comped our entire $50 meal. I wasn't expecting that as I had already given our waiter my credit card and he already ran it. We weren't looking for a free meal, we just wanted to give him honest feedback about how things went wrong. Because he took the time to chat with us, I wouldn't hesitate to return. This experience had never happened before there so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was just a rough night for folks. As for the food, the pepperoni pizza and chicken soup were delicious. The short rib comes pretty much comes in soup, but it was fall of the bone tender. The penne alla vodka that we waited so long for missed the mark. It was incredibly sour and mushy. We've gotten the bolognese and pappardelle pastas before and those were both excellent.
