It would be great if they added a few more salad options such as a Cesar or Greek would pair well. We have been customers of Pizzeria Testa since they opened and have eaten here regularly for years. Our kids grew up having pizza nights here. Unfortunately, after our experience this week, we will never return. While dining at Testa on Friday, we spoke directly with the longtime manager we regularly see there, as well as our server, about holding our daughter's 11th birthday party in the small private room the following Saturday. We explained exactly what we wanted: the room for a few hours, a couple of their meter pizzas, appetizers and nonalcoholic drinks from the regular menu, and a birthday cake or cupcakes that we would bring. We were told in person that the room would be around $100, that we could order from the regular menu, and that bringing the birthday cake/cupcakes was fine. We were instructed to contact their special-events person to arrange it. So we did. That put us in contact with Holly, Pizzeria Testa's Sales Manager. What Holly initially presented to us was completely different from what we had been told in person. She told us the room was actually $150 PER HOUR, plus a 20-person group-dining-menu requirement. After we explained what management had told us at the restaurant, Holly offered instead a $620 food-and-beverage minimum, with the food required to be preordered. For a three-hour 11-year-old's birthday party, that meant $450 for the room plus a $620 food-and-beverage minimum -- $1,070 BEFORE the 20% gratuity and tax. We repeatedly explained to Holly that this was materially different from what their own management had told us face-to-face just days earlier. What was particularly disappointing was Holly's response that she would speak with Efrain, Pizzeria Testa's General Manager, "to ensure that our servers are not giving out incorrect information." Except this information did not simply come from a server. We had repeatedly explained that we discussed the party directly with the longtime manager we regularly see at Testa as well as our server. Holly then spoke directly with General Manager Efrain about the situation. After that conversation, her final response was that Pizzeria Testa was "unable to accept reservations at this time." So after years of being regular customers, we were left with this: management told us one thing face-to-face, Holly quoted us something entirely different, and after Holly escalated the discrepancy directly to General Manager Efrain, the restaurant still would not accommodate anything resembling what had originally been represented to us. For us, this isn't about whether Pizzeria Testa is entitled to charge $150 per hour for a private room or establish a $620 food-and-beverage minimum. Of course they are. It is about whether longtime customers should be able to rely on what a restaurant's own management tells them face-to-face. Had we simply been told Friday, "The room is $150 an hour, there is a $620 minimum, everything must be preordered, and you'll be over $1,000 before gratuity and tax," we would have thanked them and selected another location. There would have been no issue whatsoever. Instead, we relied on what we were specifically told in person, followed their instructions to contact the events department, and then encountered an entirely different set of terms. After being customers since Pizzeria Testa opened, this was an extraordinarily disappointing way for the relationship to end. We will not be returning. The pizza was never the reason we stopped coming. The way this was handled by Holly, Efrain and Pizzeria Testa management is. read more

Pizzeria Testa is a fantastic spot for authentic Neapolitan-style pizza! We tried the pesto pizza with a pepperoni substitution, the veggie pizza, and the bruschetta, and every dish was outstanding. The flavors were fresh, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented. The pesto pizza was especially delicious with the pepperoni, and the ortolana, veggie pizza was loaded with fresh ingredients that complemented the perfectly crisp, wood-fired crust. The bruschetta was equally impressive and a great way to start the meal. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to enjoy a meal. The wait staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow, and it took longer than expected for our food to arrive. Stopped by Pizzeria Testa with family and tried a few different pizzas--the Margherita, Tricolore, and Quattro Formaggi. Every pizza was excellent. The ingredients tasted fresh, the crust was perfectly cooked, and each pizza had its own flavor without feeling overly heavy. We also ordered the tiramisu and the Nutella panuozzi for dessert, and both were great. The tiramisu was light and flavorful, and the Nutella dessert was a hit with everyone at the table. Service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly. It's not always easy to find a place where everything we order is this good, but Pizzeria Testa delivered. This is a late post, but had to come back and show them some love. We ate a Pizzeria Testa last night with the family. We shared multiple pizzas and enjoyed our experience. Everything was great. The food outstanding, the (Rodfather pizza) was the favorite. Our server Mallory did a great job. The establishment was clean. The abiance was good. We will be coming back. Definitely! 4 stars! The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because my daughter-in-law had to ask the staff for toilet paper for the women's restroom. They took care of it. Fantastic gem within downtown Frisco. Everything was made fresh and quick. This definitely had the feel of a well done Neapolitan pizzeria with a well deserved crowd. I went to Pizza Testa on Saturday evening at 6:30 ( 08-29-26 ). I used to go with the whole family regularly 6 -10 years ago. At that time the food was wonderful, and their rating as a great restaurant remained in tact today. * I went back on Saturday to introduce the goodness to a friend. Everything has changed but the service from the waitstaff. Manager/Food/Cleanliness all changed. Badly. Started off with the Focaccia Bread Basket. Usually a great dipping bread for EVO/Balsamic Vinegar. Now the bread tasted like rancid olive oil. Next up was our house salad, which was so oily/ wet by far too much pre dressed vinaigrette. Lastly, our Margarita Pizza. When served, you could not attempt to pick up or slide a piece of pizza off the pan, without losing every bit of the sauce/cheese. More like tomato soup pouring right off an undercooked pizza. We sent this back, only to receive the very same bad result. The pizzas could not be eaten. The manager, who replaced the first undercooked pizza with the run off sauce/cheese, only then sent the same undercooked /liquid cheese/sauce to our table! The manager would not come to our table to address the issue. He simply sent our kind and attentive waiter to say the *Focaccia Bread was on the house. The salads and pizzas, which were not eaten, remained on our bill. The vibes of the place are very charming and authentic to make for a great date night spot, catching up with friends, or just bringing your family for a nice dinner. Thought we would try out Pizzeria Testa. Nice stand alone facility. Gives off a nice cozy vibe. Staff is extremely friendly and courteous. You feel like it's a family run place. We hade a Moscow mule and Peroni on tap. Both were cold and tasty. Since there were two beautiful pizza ovens front and center we decided to sample two pizzas. One was mainly sausage. One side regular the other side spicy. The other was a similar pizza but with lots of peppers. This one was our favorite. The pizzas were both very tasty. However, our only issue was that with every cut or bite, a chunk of the topping would come off leaving a bare crust rather than sticking to the crust. The custard was also very soft and flimsy, something I would not expect from a hot fired oven. They both needed a bit more time in the oven to really cook the crust. This is just based on our experience from Italy and other Napoli style pizza restaurants. All in all a lovely place with staff waiting to ensure you have a good time, and would recommend to anyone. Came to Pizzeria Testa to celebrate a friend's birthday! Before this, I had only been to the Lower Greenville location, so I was excited to check this one out. The space is very clean, and a lot more warm with the brown tones spread throughout the restaurant. We were seated at a 4-person high top table, and though the table space was a little small, it worked for just two of us. Service was amazing, our server was so sweet, accommodating, and really added to our experience. I got a cocktail and it was pretty strong - definitely a sipper. We ordered the focaccia and olives - and to my surprise, it was not focaccia. I am not sure why it was labeled as such on the menu, but it was more of pita-bread slices of something else. This was also very chewy and at times, difficult to pull apart. I ordered a calzone and swapped the meat for garlic and mushrooms. This was great, and HUGE! I had lunch the following day. My friend ordered a marg pizza and enjoyed it. We were offered a free dessert to celebrate her birthday, which was so yum and much appreciated. We went with the tiramisu! Our favorite pizza restaurant in DFW. They specialize in neopolitan pizza. Our go-to is the contadina, which has potato and pancetta. Potato in pizza isn't something you typically find around here but is common in Italy. The margherita is great as well. The crust is very thin and airy and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. A great atmosphere sitting outside and facing Frisco Square as well.
