Stopped by Pizzeria Testa with family and tried a few different pizzas--the Margherita, Tricolore, and Quattro Formaggi. Every pizza was excellent. This is a late post, but had to come back and show them some love. We ate a Pizzeria Testa last night with the family. We shared multiple pizzas and enjoyed our experience. Everything was great. The food outstanding, the (Rodfather pizza) was the favorite. Our server Mallory did a great job. The establishment was clean. The abiance was good. We will be coming back. Definitely! 4 stars! The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because my daughter-in-law had to ask the staff for toilet paper for the women's restroom. They took care of it. Fantastic gem within downtown Frisco. Everything was made fresh and quick. This definitely had the feel of a well done Neapolitan pizzeria with a well deserved crowd. Despite the crowd, service was quick and friendly, and they were happy to go over anything on the menu in detail. We ended up getting the All'Italiana to start and the pizza primavera to share. The dough was delicious with just the right amount of char and the toppings all went very well with each other. Thought we would try out Pizzeria Testa. Nice stand alone facility. Gives off a nice cozy vibe. Staff is extremely friendly and courteous. You feel like it's a family run place. We hade a Moscow mule and Peroni on tap. Both were cold and tasty. Since there were two beautiful pizza ovens front and center we decided to sample two pizzas. One was mainly sausage. One side regular the other side spicy. The other was a similar pizza but with lots of peppers. This one was our favorite. The pizzas were both very tasty. However, our only issue was that with every cut or bite, a chunk of the topping would come off leaving a bare crust rather than sticking to the crust. The custard was also very soft and flimsy, something I would not expect from a hot fired oven. They both needed a bit more time in the oven to really cook the crust. This is just based on our experience from Italy and other Napoli style pizza restaurants. All in all a lovely place with staff waiting to ensure you have a good time, and would recommend to anyone. I like my pizza on the crisper side which I initially asked for but shy'd away after our waitress said it may come out on the burnt side. Came to Pizzeria Testa to celebrate a friend's birthday! Before this, I had only been to the Lower Greenville location, so I was excited to check this one out. The space is very clean, and a lot more warm with the brown tones spread throughout the restaurant. We were seated at a 4-person high top table, and though the table space was a little small, it worked for just two of us. Service was amazing, our server was so sweet, accommodating, and really added to our experience. I got a cocktail and it was pretty strong - definitely a sipper. We ordered the focaccia and olives - and to my surprise, it was not focaccia. I am not sure why it was labeled as such on the menu, but it was more of pita-bread slices of something else. This was also very chewy and at times, difficult to pull apart. I ordered a calzone and swapped the meat for garlic and mushrooms. This was great, and HUGE! I had lunch the following day. My friend ordered a marg pizza and enjoyed it. We were offered a free dessert to celebrate her birthday, which was so yum and much appreciated. We went with the tiramisu! Our favorite pizza restaurant in DFW. They specialize in neopolitan pizza. Our go-to is the contadina, which has potato and pancetta. Potato in pizza isn't something you typically find around here but is common in Italy. The margherita is great as well. The crust is very thin and airy and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. A great atmosphere sitting outside and facing Frisco Square as well.
