Okay, so the very first time I went here i was underwhelmed. That particular night things just didn't work out. However, they did impress me with a pizza that had blue cheese on it and wanted to try it again. Been back probably 20-30 times since and so far everything since has been great. Most importantly, I would be doing a disservice if I didn't give special praise to their rotisserie chicken. We order it pretty regularly now and that's very unusual for us. My wife and I never have liked rotisserie chicken before and this is pretty unusual for us. So here goes the test. I wanted to make sure it was their chicken that was great and not just some change in taste for us. Honestly, it's an expensive chicken. Don't particularly care for either of the two side options so, I bought a R. Chicken from Costco, Kroger, Walmart, and HEB (I think, wife got that one). Oh wow, taste test was obvious for the winner. I mean it wasn't even close. Kroger and Walmart were the least liked chickens. HEB and Costco were neck and neck. Without a doubt, Killa Pie was the gold standard all others should inspire towards. It was Friday night and we were looking for something to eat and everywhere else that we went was an hour plus wait. I've lived in this area for five years and for some reason I hadn't ever noticed this restaurant. So we decided to give it a try. It is a smaller restaurant, but we were seated within five or so minutes. Service was very good and very prompt. It is a little loud because of the style of the restaurant, but it wasn't too horrible. We ordered the brick bread, which is really just a cheesy bread and it was very very good and very flavorful. We also ordered the pepperoni Detroit style pizza in a large, and it was a lot of food! I wish they had a medium because it would've been a more appropriate size for us. I personally thought that it should've been seasoned a little bit more but overall it's a good pizza and well cooked. We will definitely be coming back! read more

I've enjoyed Killa Pie on 10+ visits for dine in and this is one of the best casual places in Frisco/Prosper area to enjoy. First of all -- the best wings we've had. The skin is really crispy and well-rendered and their sauce is good. The dressings appear to be house made and always excellent. Then the salads are creative and delicious as well, and cut to an edible size. Who among us hasn't had a salad at a Pizza restaurant with unmanageably large pieces of lettuce? Well, not a problem here. For Pizza, we have mostly bought the large of the Pioneer, which is essentially a Pepperoni pizza, which we get Detroit Style. No idea why you'd want to try another style here, this is really delicious and those corner pieces are fantastic. Recently we got their half chicken dish and that was also delicious and really well-made. Great work in the kitchen -- keep the quality up! read more

Their cheese bread is extremely spicy too-I did not know it was spicy because if I knew I would have not ordered it. My husband got the "meatballs sub" it was more like a smashed burger and spicy as well. Is this why its called Killa pie? Because they should say its spicy pizza. We walked into a smoky restaurant--someone had clearly burnt grease earlier and while it didn't smell burnt, it was so smoky we eventually moved outside. But let's not get ahead of ourselves and I'll explain my score. So we walk in, there's a line at to go. We go to the stand and are seated immediately. And then we waited 14 minutes. How do I know? Because a friend texted as we walked in and we started watching the time at 9 minutes. We were greeted by Emily as she said "has anyone stopped by for your order?" And then offered to get drinks while she figured out who was at supposed to be serving our table. I need you to know that Emily was so friendly and so kind and SHE is the reason we stayed. We could see the host who sat us running around serving and providing boxes and quickly figured out he was a manager, Harrison. It was not their night, but not for Emily we would've gone. When she came back 5 minutes later (yes, we are timestamping at this point) she brought drinks and said she hadn't found our server--I stopped her and asked if we could order rolls as my husband needed food asap. She did so promptly, then offered to go ahead and take our order. Then our eyes started to burn and she kindly moved us outside. Our food came out promptly, pizzas were cooked perfectly. As we were enjoying every bite, Harrison came over to apologize. TLDR; everyone has a bad day sometimes and that's what we caught. We were heading to Target and want to grab a bite to eat before shopping. I've had Killa Pie bookmarked for a little while and so we checked it out for lunch. We were going to try the Detroit style pizza, but saw the lunch special (Sun - Fri sta/salad combo for $16 and thought, let's do that! We both were eyeing different salads on the menu and they had 3 pasta dishes to choose from (Spicy Vodka Pasta, Tito's Lasagna, and Chicken Fettuccine). We were anticipating half portions of both the pasta and salad since it was a combo special, but were really surprised when what appeared to be the full portions of half salad and lasagna came out. What a great deal!!! I had the Avocado salad - amazing! I'll be back just for that - and hubby had the Italian salad - which he said was excellent, too. We.both had the lasagna and the portions were big enough for us to both bring leftovers home so we're getting another lunch out it, too. Excellent! We had the pleasure of having lunch here yesterday. What a treat! We were seated promptly and given menus. While we looked over the menu we soaked in the surrounding ambience. It was cool. You could see someone's intentionality on every choice. Our server was awesome. His name was Eli. He gave us some recommendations across the board from appetizers, salads, pastas, sandwiches and pizzas. We settled on a salad and the BBQ pizza to split. Both were delicious. The Detroit style crust was crispy and tasty due to the sauce and onion carmelization. During my visit, I ordered two imposters, six house Italian wings, and a large 12 squares Pioneer with sausage. I ordered everything togo and it was ready within 20 minutes. With our togo order, we received reheating instructions and their new brunch menu. I enjoyed reading their reheating steps and got quite a chuckle while reading. Overall, I am looking forward to eating inside of Killa Pie because I enjoyed their food. While I didn't physically go inside the restaurant to eat, I ordered takeout. After ordering, food was ready within 20 minutes. Killa Pie provides a good variety of foods/pizza flavors on their menu which can attract more diverse taste buds. You can even customize your own pizza. Out of all the pizzas I ordered, the BBQ chicken is definitely the best. It's different and the chicken has a unique flavor and pulled texture. They dont overload it with BBQ sauce either, and that's great because I don't like it too sweet. The cheese and pepperoni had a little bit of a rubbery texture on the other pizzas but it wasn't off putting. I am also fond of the crispy texture of the crust, which can be thick or slender depending on which one you order. Overall, I'm usually very particular with my pizzas due to my pickiness with cheese. However, this place is definitely my new go-to when it comes to pizza. Recommend for anyone who loves detroit style pizza or just a good old deep dish pizza in general. read more
