Yes please. Detroit style pizza is the whole restaurant? Yes yes yes. We love a good crispy deep dish--this was amazing. There must be cheese baked into the deep dish exterior. It's just so tasty and chewy and crispy in all the right spots. Pepperoni is thick and not mass produced. It's fresh and doesn't feel like a mouthful of nitrates (ps this is a compliment!). Sausage was flavorful and a great fennel balance. Meatballs--they melt n your mouth. I love the little 4 square size of pizza--perfect for everyone to get their own and maybe bring a slice home for later. Maybe. Not all of us had leftovers. To say the least, the actual Detroit style pizza was absolutely incredible. The bread was fluffy and very crispy. Sauce was outstanding and the pick up process was quick and smooth. There are other restaurants in the area, and this area has grown over the last couple of years. Staff - 5/5 - Friendly and courteous. I had no problem ordering and getting refills when needed. Food - What I ordered: Brick Bread - 4/5 - Basically for the kids, but think of thick bread with marinara. House Tots - 4/5 - Great seasoning, and again, for the kids. Honey Badger - 3.5/5 - VERY IMPORTANT. I suggest NO blue cheese, or go light on it. I am a fan of blue cheese, but it OVERPOWERS the pizza. Every bite, it was like biting a chunk of blue cheese. I love the other toppings, but definitely no blue cheese going forward. Pig Riot - 5/5 - Highly recommend. 3 meats and bread/cheese/sauce with spicy ranch. That's all you really need. BBQ Chicken - 4.5/5 - I am a fan of BBQ chicken and this did not disappoint. I recommend this as well. I would like to try the Hell Cat, but I read it's greasy, sooooooo probably not haha. If you are a fan of Detroit style or Chicago deep dish, which I am not, you will likely really enjoy their signature pizzas. My daughter tried the Detroit style barbecue which she really enjoyed. It was her first time having pizza with corn on it. The pizzas options did not appeal to me personally but all that I saw looked really good for those who are huge fans of pizza crust. I tried the tiniest order of imposters from the appetizer portion. It has quite a crunchy texture and the killa sauce that comes on the side is not extremely spicy but it's pretty tasty.The burgers looked good and that's what I'll try next time. The pizza is excellent, the waitstaff is a crapshoot. We went at 11:30am on a weekday with two other families; there were only two other tables with guests, and the music was obnoxiously loud, so we asked our server if the music could be turned down a bit to accommodate our daughter (who is 9 yrs old and has Down syndrome and sensory processing disorder) . He told us that the volume could not be adjusted. After a few minutes of listening to my daughter sob, my sister went over to the manager and asked if the music could be turned down a bit; he said yes and immediately turned it down. For two songs. And then the volume was turned up again. While this would be totally fine in the evenings or on busy weekends, is loud music really necessary at 11:30am?!?! The other issue we had (and this has been an issue other times we come here) was not seeing a server again after out pizzas were delivered. No one got drink refills, and we had to flag down a server other than our own to get the check. While the food is good, the rest is not. If you have kids with sensory sensitivities to loud noises and music, this is not the place for you. read more

When I heard about this place and it's Detroit style pizza, I had to come. The pizza is thick but light and airy, cut into small squares. But each piece is pretty filling. We ordered 2 large for a fam of four and there was plenty to bring home to eat later for a midnight snack! We ordered a salad with herb dressing and fresh mozzarella. It was amazing with just the right amount of dressing. For the pizza we went with an elemental (with added mushrooms) and a produce truck pizza. It was crazy with broccoli atop! Our waiter was amazing and helped explain the menu since it was our first time eating there. The pizza comes out steaming and sits on top of a rack on the tray. Temperature was just right. We loved the experience and will be back to try some of the crazy flavors they have. read more

Craving pizza all day, and finding out right before ordering that our favorite Detroit-style pizza place was closed for the 4th, we decided to give Killa a try. Online ordering of our 14" rectangular Elemental was easy, and the pizza came out of the oven right as I was walking in to get it, so no problems there. First issue when I got home was with the slices. While yes, it was 12 slices as advertised, the slices weren't close to the same size. It's like they cut it once length-wise to make eight slices and then cut a half in half again, so there were four big slices and eight little slices. If we had been trying to split even between several people, it would've been difficult. Next issue was the taste. First of all, nothing specifically at all wrong with the taste of the pizza. Assuming you don't have anything for comparison. Unfortunately, we did, and this didn't really compare. The pizza is much lighter, and crust is quite airy. It was a little too spongy for our liking. Also, the sauce was much more tomato-y than we prefer. Yes, I realize sauce is made of tomatoes. However, I think we like having the sauce under the cheese rather than on top. Finally, not sure I understand the extra $2 for "Killa Style." That's really just a charge for oil to make it greasier and Parmesan, which we keep in the fridge. Will likely pass on that next time. I might try it again at some point, but I'm guessing we'll stick with our regular and go someplace else if they're closed. read more

We purchased the pig riot which is like a meat lovers. However they skimped on meat as it doesn't even cover the entire pizza. It's more sauce and bread than anything. And we got the large size which is supposed to feed 3 to 4 people but I'm not sure if that's accurate as not everyone would get any meat on the pizza. The price was expensive as well. When we passed by as we do almost every weekend...we thought...WHAT on earth could be "Detroit style pizza?! What?? After a raving review from our local family, we stopped in late one night. It was about an hour until close but they had the booths cleaned up and not seatable. So we were sat at a kind of high top table which was fine except the chairs were SO uncomfortable. Low back and just terrible. However, the food made up for it. We got the large Moxie/Kale salad which is hard to find in most restaurants. I make something similar at home but they really did it up with the quality of parm. We then ordered the pepperoni, I don't recall what they called it. Wow!! It came out and woah. I am from Detroit and the original Detroit style pizza was created by Buddy's pizza. Still at original location Conant/ Davidson . So if I compare this to the original I would say this pizza was a little doughy, heavy on the sauce, pepperoni was great. All in all good pizza. With it being under cooked and heavy sauce the pizza was soggy. My next order I will request well done and light sauce. This might improve the score. read more

Also, they screwed up my order and just seemed to leave a topping off the pizza. I did send a complaint and I believe they offered me a coupon or something, but I don't live in Texas. We frequently this place and always enjoyed the food and the service. Have been coming here since they opened. Although they have changes some of their menu options and their salad portions are significantly smaller than originally (large salads no longer on a big mixing bowl) I've never had issues with food or service. On this visit i decided to break away from my normal order and try their Mucho Gusto. I've had sriracha before but this pizza was well beyond my heat tolerance. I asked the server if they put jalapeño and she said no. She offered to remake or make something else so I asked if she can remake it w/out the sriracha. I was fine until I got the bill. I was charged for 2 pies. When i asked about it she said her manager said they need to charge me both since it was what i ordered. I was going to let go the fact that our server spilled water all over me but charging me an item when offered to remake was a shocker. I did order it and i did pay but if they offered to remake something i don't think I should be charged. To KP: You had me as a customer for years and now you lost me over a $13 pie. All you had to do was keep me happy but you all blew it tonight. Not only did you lose my business, you will lose all my friend's business as well. I have driven past this place so many times and saw the ratings. Today, I decided to stop in with my peeps. We were less than impressed with the food. The place looks cool, dont get me wrong. I liked the inside but the food was not up to par. First, sitting down the guy was nice, but something was left over on the menu that got on my hands. There's nothing like having someone elses wet food/leftovers get all over your hands when you least expect it. He took the menu and got me a new one. The females stated the ladies' room had run out of paper towels. It's not the end of the world but means it's overlooked. Now, onto the meal. Im from Detriot, so when I think of deep dish and pizza, I think Pie Sci, Belle Isle, Supina, and Mootz. We ordered a pepperoni and a sausage pizza. What we ended up getting was a fairly greasy cheese bread with marinara drilled on the top. The people giving higher ratings either had a low bar to impress or eating some other pizza we did not see. The waitress was nice and very helpful, but it was such a waste of money today. The drinks just being sodas were overpriced, and the pizza was double what it should be from whatbI tasted.
