I know it's a totally different style of pizza, but I wouldn't consider it an incredible dining experience, like Cane Rosso. And it isn't cheap. Also, they screwed up my order and just seemed to leave a topping off the pizza. I did send a complaint and I believe they offered me a coupon or something, but I don't live in Texas. Not really.. over priced very small size square pizza. Sports bar with some beers and cocktails but nothing special. Waitress' wearing tight jean shorts and pigtails with lots of make up on maybe you might like that but you can go to hooters for that.. LOL Had The Imposter and one pizza for two still felt hungry and not satisfied and did not feel like ordering anything else because the pizza options Detroit style were very small and just not enough taste and portion to make me want more.. Our take-out pizza was ready on time, but the group agreed the pizza itself was objectively bad. It looked sloppy, barely had any toppings and didn't taste any better. Some of the best modern Detroit style I've had outside of the Midwest. Hot and fresh with just the right amount of cheese/dough/cupping pepperoni for a solid bite. Got it Killa style with crack oil and romano cheese - the oil made it a touch greasier than a normal Detroit but the garlic made my knees buckle after every bite in the best possible way. Will be back to try the other pies and to find out what the "angel dust" is.... read more

My wife and I really enjoyed Killa Pie. The old fashioned I ordered left something to be desired, there was hardly anything in my glass and I finished it in two sips. The pizza and beer, on the other hand, were both great. We love Detroit style and Killa Pie does great with theirs. Lots of young friendly staff. I have driven past this place so many times and saw the ratings. Today, I decided to stop in with my peeps. We were less than impressed with the food. The place looks cool, dont get me wrong. I liked the inside but the food was not up to par. First, sitting down the guy was nice, but something was left over on the menu that got on my hands. There's nothing like having someone elses wet food/leftovers get all over your hands when you least expect it. He took the menu and got me a new one. The females stated the ladies' room had run out of paper towels. It's not the end of the world but means it's overlooked. Now, onto the meal. Im from Detriot, so when I think of deep dish and pizza, I think Pie Sci, Belle Isle, Supina, and Mootz. We ordered a pepperoni and a sausage pizza. What we ended up getting was a fairly greasy cheese bread with marinara drilled on the top. The people giving higher ratings either had a low bar to impress or eating some other pizza we did not see. The waitress was nice and very helpful, but it was such a waste of money today. The drinks just being sodas were overpriced, and the pizza was double what it should be from whatbI tasted. Jet's Pizza is better than this. I've had pizza in Detroit and this isn't it. The way they do the marinara sauce in a horizontal line on top rather than between the cheese and dough is bloody weird. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and each slice had on average 1.5 small circles of pepperoni. It didn't have a lot of flavor, just a plain boring pizza. My issue is with their tipping. We ordered it to-go and while I appreciate they clearly label on the ground where to go to pick up your order the preset tips are absurd. You hand your credit card to an employee, they insert it into their handheld Toast machine, turn it around, and it asks you for tip. The LOWEST preset amount is 20%. The other three options go up from there. That's absurd for a takeout order. While I generally tip $5 for to go orders anyways, I don't appreciate it being shoved down my throat. The number of button clicks to do a custom tip is hella awkward while the employee is literally holding it watching you so they essentially guilt people to tip 20% at minimum. read more

Apps were delicious and the pizza was spot on just like how it tasted when I tried it in Detroit. We stumbled upon this place just riding around Prosper and decided to stop in for pizza. Very good, tasty pizza. It came out surprisingly fast. We ordered a "create your own" 12 slices and a Caesar salad. The pizza was superb. The salad was a little on the dry side but still edible. The restaurant was nice and had lots of Detroit memorabilia. The music was good. You could still hold a conversation. We will definitely be back. read more

We frequently this place and always enjoyed the food and the service. Have been coming here since they opened. Although they have changes some of their menu options and their salad portions are significantly smaller than originally (large salads no longer on a big mixing bowl) I've never had issues with food or service. On this visit i decided to break away from my normal order and try their Mucho Gusto. I've had sriracha before but this pizza was well beyond my heat tolerance. I asked the server if they put jalapeño and she said no. She offered to remake or make something else so I asked if she can remake it w/out the sriracha. I was fine until I got the bill. I was charged for 2 pies. When i asked about it she said her manager said they need to charge me both since it was what i ordered. I was going to let go the fact that our server spilled water all over me but charging me an item when offered to remake was a shocker. I did order it and i did pay but if they offered to remake something i don't think I should be charged. To KP: You had me as a customer for years and now you lost me over a $13 pie. All you had to do was keep me happy but you all blew it tonight. Not only did you lose my business, you will lose all my friend's business as well. Unfortunately bad news travels faster/farther than good news. It is alway cheaper to keep existing customers happy than it is to win back customers you've lost. Good luck! read more

Had to try the new Detroit Style pizza spot near our home. My wife and I are from Detroit and have been to every Detroit style pizza spot you think of back home. We are foodies and expectations are high as you can imagine. We came in on a Friday and there was a bit of a wait so we decided to order to go. When I got home I opened the box and noticed it was leaking oil through the bottom of our two pizzas and cheese bread. I picked up the pizza and it was completely saturated in oil. In addition I squeezed the cheese bread and it dropped oil all over the box. The crust was not crunchy because of this and it was like eating focaccia bread dunked in a bowl of oil with melted cheese on top. The pig pizza also had some ranch which made it even more soft. Was disappointed as this is not what I expect in Detroit style pizza. My young kids even mentioned how saturated it was in oil. I do want to give this place another try as it was a fun atmosphere with great service, but I'm just not sure. I would really like to understand why the pizzas are so soft and saturated in oil as no Detroit style pizza should be made that way. These pizzas should be cooked in a hard cast pan with some oil on the bottom of the dough but not this match at all. We shall see if they can fix this or I'm afraid they won't make it as this is basically there entire menu. read more

Wanted to try this establishment since I never heard of it and the reviews were good. My husband and I got there around happy hour, there really wasn't anyone there yet so we went at a good time. Got seated right away, we ordered some imposters, there were just okay to me my husband liked them. We ordered a large The Hell Cat, I liked the crust it's a little thicker crust than I normally like but it was fine. A lot of cheese and crushed red pepper for my liking so next time I will build my own with a thinner crust and not so much cheese. But the flavor was good. I really enjoyed the 80s/90s music that was playing and the pictures on the wall that showed Detroits famous people. So I'm thinking Killer Pie must've started in Detroit maybe. read more
