Great food and service! Coming from Long Island it's great to have a local feel from a pizzeria. Hopefully you guys open a deli ;)

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place because the pizza place we originally wanted to try was closed... and THANK GOD it was! Ferrari's Pizzeria is the best pizza we have ever had! Since leaving, he keeps saying, "I know I've said this already, but that was some damn good pizza!" The pizza was hot, the toppings were delicious, and as someone who heavily judges pizza based on the crust--it was perfectly crispy! The restaurant was very clean. As soon as someone left, the tables were immediately cleaned. The lady at the front was extremely friendly and helpful, with a kind smile. It was our first time there, so I took a while looking at the menu, but she kept reassuring me to take my time. We even met Vinny/Vinnie, and he was such a cool guy--he took the time to ask our names and thank us for coming in! It was overall a great experience. Although they didn't have the pizza I originally wanted to try, that's okay--it just gives us more reason to come back! My boyfriend and I aren't regulars anywhere... but we're happy to say that since eating here, we will be! read more

I placed a to-go order and got 3 pizzas 2 chicken bacon ranch pizzas (no bacon) 1 with sesame seeds added, and a grandma pie. along with 6 sides of ranch. While I was waiting for my order, I decided to try the Chicken Vodka Parm on a hot honey garlic knot, and it was delicious. I've been here multiple times, and the staff is always friendly. For the most part, the food is very consistent. On a previous visit, I made my own pizza with vodka sauce, chicken, mushrooms, jalapeños, and onions. The chicken ranch pizza is really good, and the grandma pie is delicious. They also make their own ranch, which is really good. Out of everything I've tried, my favorites are the grandma pie and the Chicken Vodka Parm on a hot honey garlic knot. read more

My mind is blown, what do you get when you pair a jacked pizza shop owner and a New York/New Jersey raised team? You get authentic, amazing tasting pizza. I ordered a baked ziti pie last week, and it tasted exactly like upstate NY pizza. It was the closest thing out of any of these Texas wanna be pizza shops. This pizza shop is not fake, it's the real deal! Now I know Texas can have good pizza because of this gem! Great service too, friendly. Will keep coming back with my people! read more

This place sells authentic New York style pizzas (and they sell by the slice too) ! And they get pack with locals, so come early! It's a small pizzeria but man, flavor packs a punch! It's my first time here but I'm extremely satisfied with their selection. The one thing that takes a star off are the drink selection and lack of table bussing but I understand, they are busy. So I went in to order an Italian sandwich and a slice of Sicilian pizza. To go. When I got home, what we got was - not that. As for the Italian, my wife wanted tomato and lettuce added after the meat and cheese were toasted, O&V on the side, which I explained. What she got was essentially slightly warmed meat and bread, a couple pieces of greenery, one tomato, and no cheese. All that can be said is that the meat itself and the bread was good. That's it. The Sicilian slice was - well, picture a really thick chunk of school cafeteria pizza. 80% bread, a dollop of tomato sauce, and some cheese on top. No meat whatsoever. See the accompanying photo. It certainly didn't look anything like the pizza they had in the display from which you could order a slice. And it was barely warm. Ferrari's usually gets it right, so this was shocking. At $18, including a 15% tip that I punched in when I paid before I got home, I feel like they should have paid me. And it took 35 minutes for whoever was cooking to give me whatever it was that they decided to give me. It was not worth driving back to the restaurant to complain and waiting another half hour for our food. Bottom line: If this ever happens again, I'll be spreading the word on more places than Yelp. Well, came back to try a pasta dish and sandwiches. Nothing was good. Pepperoni rolls, hard and tasteless, and came out with the entrees instead of an appetizer. Chicken parm was good, but the penne that came with it was out of a box and overcooked. The hero roll was not warm and toasty. Overall, pretty disappointing. This was not the same delicious pizza lunch experience I had last time. Definitely stick to the pizza! read more

OMG this is the real deal NY slice. i had two slices fresh out of the oven (I got there when it opened) and a Diet Pepsi and it was under $10.00. If you want a real NY slice, you have to try this. I have been living in the area and wishing there would be a NY pizza place that had pies in a display case and sold them by the slices, and I had no idea Ferrari's is literally down the block! Came to give them a try as soon as I watched a food reviewer. They're an amazing family-owned, neighborhood type of pizza joint! The staff members are all very friendly! Here are the slices and food we have tried - pesto pepperoni square, trio square, grandma square, and chicken marsala NY slice, and spaghetti with marinara sauce. All of the items we tried were fresh and great! As a side note, anyone who has watched Krispy Pizza on social media knows their catch phrase "no flop jalop," and the NY slices at Ferrari's are definitely no flop jalop! I have never been to NY, but the restaurant ambience definitely reminds me some of the very famous NY pizza joints I have seen on the Internet. And just like many famous NY pizza joints, they serve slices on the quintessential NY pizza paper plates. They do get very busy during meal time and the restaurant is relatively small, so be prepared to have a slice with in your car or stand/sit outside on the curb! Lastly, their prices are great as you could get full from a slice in the display case. I posted the menu for reference. Stopped by to get some pizza by suggestion from another pizza place in downtown Plano. The place is small but definitely worth a visit. You can get pizza but the slice or a whole pie, they have pasta, sandwiches and wings. Staff were fabulous and helpful. read more

My husband and I visited Ferrari's Pizza on Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't busy but the Brooklyn native customer we met while waiting was ordering 3 large to take home in Desoto! That was a the first green flag! If you are looking for AUTHENTIC NY SLICES look no further! We had a classic cheese slice, grandmas pie, eggplant w/ ricotta, and the Sicilian. All of them were great but the tomatoes on grandmas pie are unmatched!! I have NEVER tasted a tomato so flavorful, sweet, and juice! The eggplant and ricotta was my 2nd favorite the crunchy eggplant and the smooth and creamy ricotta is a nice touch!! Loved it!! After enjoying our slices I can truly understand why the Brooklyn gentleman from Desoto drove all the way to Plano to get his pizza! I will be making the drive from McKinney to Plano to get my slices from now on!! read more

Pizza and calzones have always been on point. They have some good speciality pizzas like the Buffalo Chicken pizza. The calzone was ~$11 with pepperoni. Some of the speciality pizzas can get a little pricey Staff was friendly and had plenty of space to sit down and eat while I assume it has a lot of takeout business. read more

Must go if you want NY style pizza and amazing customer service. Regular slice was perfect cheese/sauce ratio and under cariage held up! Grandmas slice had a crunch when biting into it that you can't forget while having a fresh taste from the tomato and basil. Finished it off with the cannolis and when I tell you they tasted just like my Nonas they did not disappoint! Vinnie was awesome to talk to and we will definitely be back on a reoccurring basis. Really pleased with this place. Service was friendly and the pizza was yummy. It's thin crust, large in size, and did not give me acid reflux. Always a win! The garlic knots and pizza rolls are ok. I'd just stick to the pizza next time. Still looking for the extra special pizza so that's the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars. I'll know when I taste it. I've been to Manhattan, tried all the big dawgs like John of Bleecker's, Joe's, Prince St, Scarrs, etc. and coming back to Dallas, all of the pizza I have had has been dogwater until I had this place. This place is legit. When you look at their pictures you know that this is actually a NY slice and not some BS Dallas pizza. Their bolognese pizza and cheese pizza passes muster. Pizza very thin, cracker hard that may have been overcooked. Pepperoni rolls had a bad greasy taste. The tiramisu was just throw into a container and destroyed by the time we got home. The customer service we received over the phone while placing our delivery order was outstanding--friendly, patient, and helpful. Growing up with Italian grandparents and family from New York and New Jersey, I was skeptical, but the food did not disappoint! I always order a cheese pizza because, to me, that's the true test of a good pizza--and Ferrari's passed with flying colors. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza and cannolis, all of which were absolutely wonderful. We will definitely be ordering again. Closest thing to the NY style slice I've had here in Dallas. Love their grandma slice, chicken parm slice (specialty pie that comes out on Fridays) It's nestled in an ordinary little strip mall and easy to miss - seems like a neighborhood joint with lots of regulars. They have great pizza but if you go later like 7pm, you'll have limited choices and they dont seem to make fresh pies closer to closing which I understand. Do get their tiramisu, an absolute must! Cashier service has always been courteous but never that friendly. Not a deal breaker for me but to some maybe. read more
