Visited on the recommendation of a friend who knew someone who got this pizza catered to their wedding. It did not disappoint. We were given wood fire crust bits along with sauce and olive confit immediately upon being seated and the sauce was cold, but the flavor was really good for a marinara. Bf and I shared a custom pizza with spinach, mozzarella and artichoke hearts (top). Our friend had a plain pepperoni pizza. Both were overall exceptional. We had fresh Parmesan grated on top which made it so much better. My only downsides were that it was exceptionally wet (literally drooping and dripping) and I could've used more of the amazing red sauce than what we received. Definitely a good choice and will be returning. Our large pizza with 3 toppings came out to about $23 and bf and I split the cost. read more

We were told by the hostess that it was open seating, so we headed up to the second floor. We were then denied a table and directed to the third floor, which had a much less appealing vibe. When we went back downstairs to find a table, the waitress seemed confused and barely paid us any attention. We had to ask for menus, our order was taken incorrectly, and when she asked if we wanted fresh Parmesan on our pizza, it never arrived. We spent the entire meal requesting basic things that should have been provided without prompting. The whole experience was truly dreadful. Came in on a Saturday afternoon and our party of 3 got rooftop seating without a wait or reservation! We had 4 drinks and shared a 12 inch jalapeño pepperoni pizza. The dough has always been so good here and the pizza is thin but filling!! We had excellent service and really enjoyed our outing here. I've been a customer here for over 10 years for a reason!!! Solid four stars for me. My favorite is actually the F-chicken. Stars are lost for me in that this meal used to come with two sides for the same price. I loved when it came with veggies and polenta. Now for 16.90 at the time of this review it just comes with one side with the chicken, which is definitely on the spendier side as far as value for amount of food you get! The goat cheese, spinach, tomato blend inside of the chicken is truly incredible, though. I love that they serve bread pieces here you can dunk in olive oil. I've had good service here each time I've been, and the ambiance is warm and cozy. It can get loud inside when it's really crowded. I personally prefer sitting downstairs as I feel it's a bit quieter. The pizza is ok for me, but there are other local places I would rather get my pizza. My four star review is more specific for this chicken dish. Last time I ordered this meal it came out with the chicken looking like a heart which was way more exciting to me than it may be for others, but I'm sentimental so it was fitting for the company I was sharing my meal with! This place gets extremely crowded so allow wait time if you go on a weekend for dinner. I recommend arriving early and going when you're not in a rush. read more

Kind of disappointed, not everything looks as it tastes. I was ready for the flavors to spark my mouth. One of the pizzas was the Margherita added pepperoni and jalapeños and it was blend. This is a cute spot right next to my favorite pub. We were looking for solid pizza and we found it! Really pleased with what we ordered and the bread with tapenade and bruschetta was tasty too! The old fashioned was good, but not as good as next door. The strawberry rhubarb pie was decent but a little soggy. Would definitely go back for the pizza! Service was great too. Very solid pizza Friday spot! I've been once before with my brother, sister in law and bff and tonight decided to drive 20min to grab my usual solo dinner vs something across the road from me. Service was exceptional! I sat on fl2 which is where we were seated before. The place fills up fast apparently. The staff on 2 were incredible! So friendly, kind, calm and attentive. The best energy after another very long week of not being around anyone like this. I'm certainly been seeking dining spots for culture scenes that mirror my own (which is typically very high vibe ;) but has been feeling like my week days completely turn the light switch off on due to my environment. Urban Crust is the perfect place to decompress and feel happy. The food is delish, combined with the service and Urban Crust is a solid 5 stars on every account. Scene, menu, drinks, price, all 5 STAR. I had a frozen peach Bellini tonight, the hearts of palm salad (so refreshing! I was craving lettuce, I know that sounds crazy but something cool and yummy!), and the fig and prosciutto pie with fresh parm sprinkled atop. Their dough is very tasty. I'd highly recommend this spot for solo dining, a meal with the fam bam, a casual date night, GNO, you name it! I parked around the corner and walked over. The three of us really enjoyed our lunch at Urban Crust. Love the fresh pizza, bread and dipping sauces on the table. Our food was five star. The shrimp pasta and vodka sauce looked amazing as was the margarita pizza with the addition of a little Jimmy's Italian sausage. The sausage is a little too spicy for me but great pizza. Only wish they had unflavored ice tea as an option. Service was OK but once we were served our food, we never saw our waitress again until after we were finished. Went here for a girls night because we all really needed it! We were able to get a spot upstairs and it was cute. The space was a little tight but it's not that big of a deal. We ordered mussels, calamari and carpaccio (I believe, don't remember because I didn't eat due to being pregnant). The appetizers I would say were better than the pizza. However it was still mid. Mussels (4/5) Calamari (3/5) Shea's east side (3/5) Rigatoni Pomodoro (4/5) My girlfriends ordered rounds of shots and they were cool to make a fake shot for me! We ordered I believe four rounds of shots and then they cut us off. We weren't being loud or anything. We were just talking amongst ourselves and we were fine. This is a very cute restaurant in downtown Plano that offers rooftop patio views. We ordered the Shea's Eastside pizza and it was excellent! One of the only disappointing aspects of the meal was that they do not offer ranch dressing which is typically a must for me. We went on a busy evening at about 6 and had about a 1 hour wait. Upon being seated service was fair for a busy night. I would definitely recommend this spot to others. read more

Let me start off by saying -- our business has been in Dallas for about three weeks, and we've probably eaten at Urban Crust once or twice a week. It's just got a really good vibe. We're usually always able to get a table, and the layout is great -- it's three stories, with options to eat on the bottom floor or outside on the rooftop. The top level especially is such a fun spot to eat. This time, we got the Quattro Formaggi (with jalapeños and pepperoncinis added -- highly recommend!) and the Black & Blue pizza. The Quattro Formaggi was probably our favorite -- super flavorful, and the added heat from the peppers made it even better. The Black & Blue was also really good, though we felt it just needed a pinch of salt on top to bring everything together. We also got a few non-pizza items: the Rigatoni Pomodoro, the Caesar salad, and the Farmer's Market salad. I didn't get a picture of the rigatoni, but it was solid. The Caesar salad was simple but tasty -- the cheese was fantastic, though I would've loved some croutons. The Farmer's Market salad had great flavor and a nice zing -- definitely recommend it. One pizza we've found a little underwhelming in the past is the Margherita, but honestly, you can't really go wrong with anything on their menu. The food is consistently good, the vibe is great, and the service is always on point. I already had Urban Crust tonight and I still want to go back again this week. We visited Urban Crust a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about the food. Even though I forgot to take photos, everything was genuinely delicious. The pizza crust is perfect, thin, beautifully cooked, and clearly wood-fired. It has that slightly crisp edge with just the right chew and so much flavor on its own. They brought out a small bread basket made from the same dough as the pizza, and I had to seriously pace myself because it would have been easy to fill up on just that. One of the sauces served with the bread was especially good...almost like a bruschetta-style topping with bright, savory flavor. Our pizza was spot-on, and the chicken was excellent as well. Everything tasted well-balanced and thoughtfully prepared. We sat on the patio, which was a highlight. The windows are open so it feels airy, but there are heaters built into the ceiling so it stays comfortable, a really lovely setup. Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Great food, great atmosphere, and a place I'd happily return to. read more

I was in town in mid March and had to try the pizza of the month, Luck O' Spinach, with basil pesto, goat cheese, mozzarella, bacon, crispy fried spinach leaves. I got it without the bacon and enjoyed every bite. It's so fun to see what's new and try something different. Probably the best pizza spot in Plano. It competes with Andrews pizza over off Preston. They have a brisket pizza here that is elite. Rooftop is a vibe and you can walk straight up to the roof and be seated without waiting for a table. They will have a DJ some nights up there which for Plano is nice cause Plano can be boring but that space spices things up some. Great drinks and the bread before the foods comes out is heavenly. We chose to enjoy the 32 Degree Roof Top bar for our first experience at Urban Crust. While we initially thought we'd eat outside and enjoy the view, we found it too hot and enjoyed sitting inside instead where we found a great ambiance around the frozen bar. I started with the Suit & Tie drink which was refreshing. My husband ended up trying two different versions of the Hwy 75 Mule - The first with the Hibiscus vodka and the second with Pineapple Rum. In the end, he preferred the Pineapple Rum version. For our meal, we split the Urban Chop salad. The size was perfect to split between the two of us and still have room for something else. Our server was also great about requesting the salad on two plates so we weren't messing with dividing it up at the table. We then tried the Lamborghini Pizza (which happened to be the June special). It had great flavor with the lamb sausage, tomatoes, olives, and a variety of cheeses. The size of the pizza was enough for the two of us and we had a few pieces left to enjoy as a snack later. Coming back here again, the food is as fresh and great as ever along with exceptional service! Love the pizza dough with marinara and olive oil they give, and this time we ordered a custom pizza with pepperoni and Italian sausage and the Urban Amore, with the wood fired bocconcini as an appetizer. The appetizer was really nice, mushrooms baked in truffle oil with a generous helping of cheese! Really tasty and fresh, though it is a little pricey. The custom pizza was great as always, ingredients always taste fresh and you can definitely taste the char from the oven. Crusts are thin and delicious, I always really like their pizzas. The Urban Amore is a sweeter pizza with fig jam, prosciutto, and goat cheese(?) topped with arugula. I overall liked the flavors, but I feel the cheese was very strong and sharp, it covered the complementary flavors of the sweet fig and salty prosciutto. Went two days in a row because of how much my kids loved the pizza here. It's thin and the toppings are quality. The pepperoni they use is so good. We've gotten it with regular mozzarella and their buffalo mozzarella. The only complaint for not a 5 stars is that the second time, the crust was a little burnt. Me and my fiancé come to urban crust often, it's one of our favorite restaurants. We have always had a good experience before tonight. I want to preface this by saying i have worked in the food service industry before i understand things being stressful and busy and things getting lost in communication but this was not one of those situations. We got there at 9:37pm and was seated immediately as it was nearly dead in there. After we had sat down we already knew what we wanted, as we go to urban crust so often we know what we like. So we just sit and wait for our server....and we wait...and we keep waiting. My fiancé had to get up to ask the hostess if we could get water or even some bread to snack on while we waited. The hostess was even shocked and went to go find our server. At 9:58 our server finally came to our table and asked if she could get us anything else to drink but water and after we said no she tried to immediately walk away but i told her we were ready to order as well that way she wouldn't have to make two trips and could put our order in before she grabbed our water...and she looked at us as if we were bothering her and she said "oh..okay..what can i get you", after we told her what we wanted she just walked away.
