I Don't Care What All Other Reviews Say I work at Cityline, this place is SOOO UNDER RATED IT MAKES ME WANT TO CRY! I came today for lunch and simply got the cheese pizza ( white caprese with the balsamic glaze drizzle) Ay bay bay let it play that's my song TURN IT UP Wow that crust was literally to die for! The pizza itself was FRESHLY MADE but it's something about that dough! Geez the entire thing was OUTSTANDING! I went this past Saturday while listening to the music in the park that Cityline has during the summer. The service was great, ordering was easy and my pizza did not take long to come out. I got the cauliflower crust which could have been cooked 2 minutes less (it burns easier) but it still tasted really good. read more

We chose this Brass Tap location for dinner on Friday because of location and karaoke that was scheduled to begin at 7 pm. The food was good and service was great. Our server (Blair) did a fantastic job! She was very friendly, attentive, suggested several menu items, gave an honest opinion and made sure we didn't want for anything. We ordered the Mac-n Cheese Bites, Wings, and Potstickers. The plan was to stay for karaoke, but it did not start on time so we left before 9 pm. I can walk to this spot from my place and that definitely adds to the appeal but I'd go even if it was across town. I adore the staff, they are the best. We were staying at the aLoft across the street so we stopped in to Brass Taps a few times while visiting. I will say they are kind of pricey for what they offer. We had 2 margaritas and it was $40. Yikes. We were there during the day and as night during karaoke. During the day the place was extremely dead. At night though the place got pretty packed. This is definitely a place that I would go to out of convenience but I wouldn't seek it out. Maybe if it was cheaper. read more

I ordered the trio--salsa, queso, and guacamole--along with a side of fries. Unfortunately, I can only give this 2 stars, and that's mostly for the fries, which were at least decent. The salsa tasted like store-bought Pace Picante, the guacamole had that artificial, pre-packaged tube flavor, and the queso was reminiscent of basic Rico's cheese sauce. I ended up canceling the burger, and while I understand this isn't a Tex-Mex spot, if they can't get the basics right, I doubt I missed out on anything special with the burger. I had lunch here for the first time the other day and it was fairly quiet. Our server was ok but forgot to bring a water for my friend. I ordered the bbq chicken pizza and she got the grilled poblano chicken tacos. The prices were reasonable but the food was just ok. Pretty standard bar food. I would like to try more things on the menu but so far im not impressed. As of right now, i prefer good union, tricky fish or char'd to this spot, but well see. It def beats fernandos and cool greens. Also my friend got a half and half that was really sweet. Im always worried when a place has too large of a menu bc they cant make everything fresh. On a recent work trip, The Brass Tap was the unofficial watering hole among my coworkers. It's a fun spot. Definitely giving sports bar. There was no shortage of TVs and all kinds of sports were playing. Can't speak to the food since I never had any during the times I was there, but I had a great time at the establishment nonetheless. I visited The Brass Tap in Cityline today after having a pretty negative experience about six months ago, and the difference is night and day (in the best way)! The staff were not only friendly and welcoming, but also incredibly knowledgeable about the large craft beer selection and food menu. You can tell that they can really care about what they do and about creating a great guest experience. Service was fast, attentive, and on-point the whole time. The vibe has totally transformed. It feels more upbeat, inviting, and just overall more enjoyable to visit and have a meal and a cold beer. It feels like management and their team has really stepped up their game. The Brass Tap is a nice new addition to the Cityline area. The other bar on the same street has similar vibes (sports bar, live music/DJ) but The Brass Tap has it beat. We came in on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy with college football fans and live music. Sitting inside when there's live music is loud, but they do have a patio. Service was friendly. They are a beer bar so they've got lots of beers on tap, but I'm not a beer girl. They've got a good variety of bar food (apps, chicken, fish, tacos, pizza, flatbreads) and we enjoyed what we tried, the chicken nachos and the chicken tender basket. The chicken on the nachos was nicely seasoned and the jalapeños on them were fresh and spicy! The chicken tenders and fries seemed pretty high quality. Sometimes at bars you'll get obviously frozen breaded chicken strips, and these didn't taste like that. They seemed fresher. We all tried The Weekender cocktail, which was vodka with a variety of fruit juice or liquor, and it just tasted like orange juice. Not the worst and not gross, but not exactly what it claimed to be. I'll probably be back to give it another try. I'd say skip the cocktails and order your tried-and-true bar drink. Or a beer! And try the food! read more

I've been here twice already and every time the service is on point. They have plenty of TVs and great selection of beers and other alcoholic options so this makes it a great place to watch a game. I always look forward to a seat at the bar right when they open, and enjoying a Whiskey Sour or two. :-) Sometimes I'll partake in the local Texas beers which are seriously good. The staff here is always jovial and professional, and they always make sure everyone's taken care of. The fruit was fresh and the nuts were a nice crunchy addition. Very yummy start. We also shared the Tejas Nachos with Brisket. The Nachos come with tortilla chips covered in cheese, queso, jalapenos, tomatoes, and crema. They were okay. The Brisket was plentiful. There was a lot of cheese and queso spread out all over the nachos. It was a little too much. The chips got soggier the closer you got to the bottom of the pile. Our last shared item was the ZZ Top BBQ Flatbread. It was okay. It came with an overabundance of cheese. It also came with jalapenos, BBQ sauce, and we ordered it with Chicken. It was okay. The cheese was gooey but overwhelming. The jalapenos added a spicy flavor and the BBQ sauce was tasty. Overall the restaurant has a cool atmosphere with good service. The counter service, ordering and paying process was quick and easy. Everytime someone brought our food to us they were friendly. The food was okay and literally very cheesy.
