I ordered the Mediterranean pizza for the 1st time. I haven't eaten here in awhile and this was the 1st time I actually went inside the location. The restaurant had a small dining area with bench seats. The star of course was the pizza. All of the toppings were fresh though it took me awhile to get my pizza after it was ready which is why the green on the pizza is a little withered lol. Great sauce, crust and toppings. If you still eat pizza chains pizzas, let this be your sign to stop and visit this place. You won't want to ever eat pizza from a pizza chain ever again! read more

Bad hygiene, the guy washing the floor kept touching the bucket and mop intermittently while taking out plates and trays, that's disgusting. I watched him do that repeatedly, he never stopped to wash his hands in the kitchen faucet, nor the bathroom. There was no soap in the bathroom, another hygiene red flag. I'm sad to be writing this review, the pizza is actually very good, but due to what we witnessed, we won't be back. read more

Bad phone connection when we phoned from our car, but we still got the order in. Clean inside, tons of strip mall parking located in a somewhat dying strip mall. Employees were friendly, and pizza was made fast. I'd rate our pizza a 7 of 10...a little underbaked and topping distribution was uneven. I'd give them another try but they won't be my Plano go to pizza spot. 22 bucks and change for an 18 inch all meat pizza. See my pics. read more

We haven't been here for a while and it sounded good, so we came here to eat in. PB wanted big pizza, so he can eat the rest later and the crust for the doggie babies. I ordered garlic knots(they have the best garlic knots)and baked Ziti. It's located off US 75 N Central Expy and Chisholm Trail next to Del Ray Coffee(good coffee)and it's pretty spacious inside. The gentleman who helped us ring up was very nice and kind. They bring your food to your table. My pasta was hot and tasty and PB's pizza was good, but he wanted more sauce and cheese, so he said he'd ask more sauce and cheese next time. We love this place as they have the best NY style pizza and their desserts are very good as well. We will def return again soon. read more

Absolutely horrible. Pizza was mostly crust, skimpy with toppings and was undercooked with nothing in the middle being solid and everything falling off and messy. Taste was bland and with only the rare topping bearing any flavor. $20 for garbage. One of the unfortunately many places that demands a tip BEFORE you get your order, and I begrudgingly gave a tip and still received unsatisfactory service and food. Tried to get the staff attention on something and was ignored. Place is dirty and not cleaned up after others. Never go to this place. read more

A month ago I ordered 2 margarita pies and 2 with mushrooms, peppers, sausage and pepperoni. They were amazing. The person I spoke to asked my name, allowed me to pay in advance, and told me how many "points" I'd accrued. All good. Today, I ordered 2 margarita pies and 1 pie with mushrooms, peppers, sausage and pepperoni. The woman who took my order never asked my name, never told me about my "points", and told me I couldn't pay in advance. The pies were terrible. One of the margaritas wasn't even cut, I had to cut it myself. Fresh mozz? Ha! There was no pepperoni on the other one that I could see, and the sausage looked like it was cheap frozen slices. After my first great experience, this was an epic crash and burn from this place. read more

The taste is amazing- if you catch them in a good day. The quality is STILL very hit or miss. Sometimes the crust is almost burned. Often the toppings are all in the middle. And as ours was just now, very, very skimpy on the cheese- as in two inches from the edge there was hardly any, and there was a little more in the center. We keep coming back, but it's getting rarer and rarer. The tiramisu is great, as are the Italian Cream Cake and Lemoncello cake. I went as a group of three on a Tuesday night for dinner! The restaurant is located on a relatively small strip of stores, and two doors down from a gym. We ordered the following: 1. Calzone 2. 18" Supreme pizza 3. Chicken Florentine specialty pasta (spaghetti) The menu is listed on the wall, facing the open kitchen/oven, and you order at the front (which is to the left of the restaurant). A worker will brings your food out as it's ready, so each dish comes out fresh. It seems like a mom and pop shop, which I'm a huge fan of - the workers there are SO kind and attentive. I didn't have a picture of the supreme pizza, but holy moly was that good and MASSIVE. Our group's favorite was the chicken Florentine pasta, so wonderfully made and creamy. There aren't a ton of reviews on the pasta here, but do not sleep on the pasta!! The calzone was loaded with ingredients, and it came with a side of marinara sauce. The portions are massive, but the quality is also equally as great, so it is most definitely worth it. There was way too much food for three of us (we were ambitious, and with the amount of food we had leftover, it easily last someone 4-5 meals. Definitely looking forward to coming back! read more

We happened in during a huge family party taking up the whole restaurant. Fortunately we were able to score a booth by time our food was ready. There is a significant Brazilian influence - they even have Brazilian Pizza - but their traditional pizza is New York style and we ordered the Pepperoni to play it safe. We also ordered Garlic Knots. We are from Chicago where pizza is kind of our thing, so we were leery of Plano Pizza -- but Marinara got it right! The pizza dough, sauce, and pepperoni were tasty and the garlic knots were EXCELLENT - cooked thoroughly inside and not overcooked outside. We definitely will return next time in Plano to break up the meat scene everywhere. read more

We wanted pizza, but had been disappointed the last few times I was visiting family in Plano. I found Marinara Pizza on Yelp and was impressed by the reviews, prices and the large menu. I ordered a large, thin-crust cheese pizza with half meatballs and half plain, garlic rolls with extra marinara sauce and cannoli for dessert. The order arrived sooner then expected and we all enjoyed the excellent, New York-style pizza (even my finicky granddaughter. The garlic rolls were excellent, but the 'piece de resistance' was the cannoli. As good as any Italian Bakery in NYC. Marinara's Oizza is definitely on my Plano, TX Dining Guide. read more

I like this pizza, but I don't love it, and I would nara mari it. I mean never marry. Never mind. Bad one. I really wanted to like this place a lot more than I did because the guys in here were really nice, and served me a massive slice for a decent price really late at night when I didn't expect them to. The only problem is that the pizza wasn't really my favorite. It was pretty good but it tastes a little bit like Dominos or something so definitely not the best that I've ever had. But in Dallas I think that is about the standard so they get 4 stars for being really cool guys. There is an amazing place around here for pizza though, but this one is far from awful. read more

I get hangry often and my comfort food is New York Style pizza. There is something about pizza with Sauce, Cheese, and crispy crust. I was craving pizza and came across Marinara in Plano. It's one of the highest rated pizza joints near my work. One weekday in the afternoon, I was committed to trying this place out. I placed my order for a small pizza with three additional toppings. Make a note that it's $1 for any additional toppings depending on the size of the pizza. My favorite pizza is one with Sausage, Mushrooms, and black olives. From the time I placed my order to the time they were calling my name it was about 25-30 min. The pizza is good and will satisfy any pizza cravings. read more

Things didn't go unnoticed with me when we went this time this past Tuesday (a summer weekday). Our server was Michael and I want to give a proper shoutout to him for caring for our table. He would switch out our plates and utensils (which I didn't notice if previously the servers/waiters did that before and he just did so swiftly too) as well as he would make sure we were comfortable the entirety of our time there. I can tell he was a detail oriented type of person (or perhaps the place was under new management) but regardless I just wanted to properly thank Michael with this review. One more thing I noticed was at the end of our lunch the staff went towards the kitchen due to what I can only assume a machine malfunction or were understaffed in the back so both the servers/waiters/staff were teaming up to fix the issue at hand. She handled everything professionally and was attentive throughout the meal. The problem came when one of our pasta dishes had a long black hair in it. We understand that mistakes happen. We brought it to our server's attention, and she immediately took the dish back and put in a rush order to have it remade. About 20 minutes later, she came back to let us know it was almost ready and that the manager would be bringing it out. Another five minutes passed, but our server ended up bringing the replacement herself. At no point did a manager come to our table to apologize, acknowledge the issue, or check on us. What was even more disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. After waiting roughly 25 minutes for the replacement dish and receiving a meal that originally contained a hair, the restaurant chose to comp his dessert instead of the pasta. While the gesture was appreciated, the dessert was less expensive than the entrée that had the issue. It just felt like a missed opportunity to make things right. We've always enjoyed dining here and will likely be back because our past experiences have been so positive. However, the lack of manager involvement and the way this situation was handled left us disappointed. A simple apology and comping the affected pasta would have gone a long way in showing that customer satisfaction truly matters.

Worst place out there. I am a very very disappointed in this place. The first time I went here it was pretty awesome other than the rude little black guy with glasses. He acts very abruptly and has a negative connotation to his voice. Basically degrading. Then, on my next visit, they served me food that was infested with the worst chemical taste because they decided to stay open while they re coated their floors in that cool looking garage flooring with the little speckles. No big deal except they kept the doors closed which caused the fumes to get into their food, YUCK! the sad part is that the owner had his child and wife in there, poor parenting but hey, I'm not the father. Anyways, when I confronted the little black man about the issue he said he would replace my order but what he ended up doing was giving me the wrong thing and he made it smaller on purpose and would not fix that either. Pathetic excuse for a restaurant. Hopefully they will learn from this experience. Also, I love seeing the response to the other 1 star review on here. If someone says something honest but negative the owners are quick to call them a liar. Be a man and understand that you make mistakes too and mistakes build people into better beings. You should take this advice and grow instead of trying to drown it in your own denial. read more

We love these mom and pap places. Sal, the owner, is great. He not only cares about his food, more importantly, he cares about his customers. In fact, he does everything; the cooking, cleaning, managing...you name it, he does it. Regarding the fine food, this dude knows how to make a good pizza. Our go-to pizzas are the pepperoni mushroom and the Chicken Alfredo. And, don't forget those delicious garlic knots...a must have. Overall, best pizza place in Plano. read more

I really enjoy coming here for lunch. The pizza is well above average; certainly a cut above the chain pizza places that thrive in the Metroplex. I'm a big fan of the sausage, which actually looks like gyro meat when you first see it. I also like the fact that there's soccer on the TV nearly all the time, and that Sal himself is about as REAL as it gets. The cops were called and said they get several complaints about this man he was violent, angry threatening, and frankly needs to be in jail!
