    Blackened chicken avocado

We went to this sandwich shop and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The bread was soft and clearly fresh, and the ingredients tasted high quality and homemade. The customer service was very friendly and the food came out quickly. We went in on a Friday afternoon, there were not many people. We ordered the blackened chicken avocado and the turkey sandwich, and we will definitely be coming back again.

I just wanted a quick lunch, and I like sourdough bread. So this place is my choice. I ordered a vegetarian sandwich just to stay healthy. The veggies were nice and fresh. The most I liked was the sourdough bread. It was moist and fluffy -- the best sourdough bread I ever had. They have other protein options, like chicken, beef, sausage, and fish, if you want something more filling. The place is small, but there are a few tables you can sit comfortably and enjoy your meal. Come check it out. You'll find something you like!

I rarely give 5 stars and I have been to this establishment enough to grant this honestly. I am on dialysis and my home clinic was around the corner so I was coming here 3x a week. I have sense switched clinics closer to my home but I'm here now to bring my son to visit the owner because that's how amazing this place is. The food is fresh and many options and she actually cares about the customers. Give it a try and see for yourself. I get the blackened chicken with pesto, chicken salad special and the soups. Try anything on the menu for yourself!

Fate forced us here as we tried to find bagels after 2 pm on a Saturday to have the next morning. Well fate would have it that the Sourdough Bread Deli was the only place around that was open and still had bagels. The bagels here are huge, I'd say 50% larger than say an Einstein's bagel. Plus, they were light and airy instead of thick, and heavy like a hockey puck. This makes the perfect bagel for toasting and stacking with toppings. Toasts up perfectly and leaves a "crunch" as you bite. Apparently they only have three flavors, but it didn't bother me to have a plain instead of my regular favorite. Well packaged to keep them fresh for the next day. Thanks for the great product, we will be back to try some of your world famous sandwiches.

Ask the Community - Sourdough Bread Deli

Can you purchase sourdough bread by the loaf or only in a sandwich?

    They have a menu.

Does this deli have any vegetarian options? This yelp page says they have "vegan options" but I don't see any when I look at the menu...

Yes, their soups are amazing, Potatoes and leek. Also have salads as well as fresh sourdough pizza!

Is this just a sourdough starter bread or do they add yeast to their sourdough?

The sourdough is made from scratch daily the night before and morning of.

    Do they deliver?

I believe Uber eats as well as most the major delivery apps.

Priscilla was an attentive and kind server who really went above and beyond for us! As we walked up, we really liked the cute patio vibe with cute flowers and a pergola with a lot of fans, even in the scorching Texas summer. We opted to sit inside and it's a cozy setting with a nice looking bar. We came in close to opening and it wasn't too busy but it definitely picked up as we were wrapping just to show how popular this place is on a Saturday. Priscilla greeted us and walked us through the menu and we started with some great coffee. I had the breakfast pot pie and we also had the French toast and eggs benedict. Everything was pretty flavorful and the breakfast pot pie was so heartwarming and tasty. I would have preferred a little more seasoning or spices for some extra flavor, but that's my preference. My parents were pretty satisfied with their dishes. Maybe just a little more refinement to make it 5 star worthy. Overall, we were impressed with our experience and will be back again to try their dinner options that looked really good!

You can add as many components as you want( clearly you pay for the more items you have on your charcuterie board). We chose three meats and two cheeses. The ricotta was so good! Especially when you put a little bit of honey on it-delicious. For the main entrée, I had the crest de Gallo and it was cooked absolutely perfectly. Pasta was perfectly al dente. Chicken was nice and moist. I had a glass of white wine to go with it and I thought it paired really well. I had the Ferrari Capo white wine. I went to the bar, where I've picked up orders before, but the bartender didn't even look up or acknowledge me. I then made eye contact with someone at the register who appeared to be a manager. Before I could even say anything, he put his hands up, shook his head "no," and walked away. Eventually, another gentleman came over and asked for my name. He looked through the three tickets on the rack for quite a while, then came back and told me he didn't see my order and that the kitchen was slow. I explained that DoorDash showed the order as ready for pickup. He said he had told the GM, who also simply walked away toward the back. My order eventually came out, but by that point, the issue wasn't even the wait, it was the complete lack of acknowledgment, communication, and basic customer service. I understand that restaurants get busy and kitchens fall behind. What I don't understand is staff acting as though a customer asking about an order is an inconvenience. The overall level of apathy was honestly pretty shocking and extremely disappointing from a location I used to really enjoy.

There is ample space between tables so you don't feel cramped. There are TVs on the walls but it does not feel like a typical sports bar. The vibe is upscale and the restaurant was very clean. We started with the homemade biscuits and they were excellent. The proceeds go to charity so placing this order was no-brainer. The biscuits were light and airy, not dense at all. The jam and butter were the perfect accompaniment. Those biscuits are winners! Everyone should order and help the charity. I had the spicy chicken and waffles and it was excellent. The chicken was indeed spicy but the honey helped cool me off. The chicken was tender, the waffle was light but could have been hotter. If you order this dish, you will need a glass or two of cold ice water! The wife had shakshura and loved it. She got some toast on the side for dipping. The grits on the bottom were perfectly cooked. Her only complaint was the egg was supposed to be runny and it was firm. The kid had sweet potato pancakes but ended up filling up on the biscuits. Overall, food was 5 star and really enjoyable. The prices are very reasonable. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that our server, who was pleasant enough, was not very efficient. I am not sure what the problem was but her head was in the clouds. We would ask for something, she would say ok, and then she would disappear and forget to bring what we asked for. This happened more than once, more than twice, and maybe three times. It became a running joke at our table, what would the waitress forget this time? Like, I could order the bites and some beers and be perfectly content. But I was here for the fish n chips and I was so happy! The chips were thin, crispy, and had a nice dash of seasoning on them, but we do wish they had been served hot. The queso was warm, but not piping hot, and the texture was a little gritty, almost powder-like. We were expecting a creamier cheese, so it was good, but not our favorite part of the meal.
