I ordered the Pineapple Martini, which was really good, and the Blackened Shrimp & Grits, which had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. I met up with my YELP friend for happy hour. This was her first visit to CraftWay. I'm a big fan of most of the food and cocktails. Things didn't go as smoothly as I hoped for her first visit, but management apologized and tried to make up for it. I appreciated the effort on their part and opportunity to give my feedback. I'm thinking it was an off day as the shrimp pasta was extremely salty on this visit. Food: My Reuben egg rolls were a delightful and delectable bite. One of my favorite appetizers. The Russian/Thousand Island dressing is so good. (4 STARS for the appetizer only) Pasta the presentation was great. However, today someone in the kitchen was heavy handed on the seasoning and it was super salty. The taste was not good. Seeing that I have had it multiple times I won't criticize it as much and chalk it up as a one off. Drinks: The Frosé is so refreshing. It's a cold slushie perfect for a warm summer day. The sample flight is also cool and a great way to taste all the drinks. The presentation is cute and it's a fun experience. (5 STARS) Ambiance: It's a cozy and comfortable vibe. Heard good things about this place and we were pleasantly surprised by the good food and great service. Priscilla was an attentive and kind server who really went above and beyond for us! As we walked up, we really liked the cute patio vibe with cute flowers and a pergola with a lot of fans, even in the scorching Texas summer. We opted to sit inside and it's a cozy setting with a nice looking bar. We came in close to opening and it wasn't too busy but it definitely picked up as we were wrapping just to show how popular this place is on a Saturday. Priscilla greeted us and walked us through the menu and we started with some great coffee. I had the breakfast pot pie and we also had the French toast and eggs benedict. Everything was pretty flavorful and the breakfast pot pie was so heartwarming and tasty. I would have preferred a little more seasoning or spices for some extra flavor, but that's my preference. My parents were pretty satisfied with their dishes. Maybe just a little more refinement to make it 5 star worthy. Celebrated a baby shower here and it was such a nice experience. The service was excellent! They gave calamari and chips and dip on the house. The table ordered tons of food and I didn't get to take a ton of photos but, I can account for that almost everything was cleared. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The French onion soup seems to be popular here, and as soon as I saw that buttery-looking pastry puff baked on top, I knew I had to order it! It was definitely hearty, with plenty of onions (which I love). However, it was a bit saltier than I prefer. I do wish there were an option to substitute the onion soup with a chowder, like clam or corn chowder. The Reuben eggrolls were surprisingly good! I'm used to traditional Asian eggrolls, so I really liked this creative twist. The house-smoked pastrami, sauerkraut, and melted Gruyère cheese worked so well together. My wife and I stopped here as stop #2 of our day date and it was a great experience. The ambiance was nice and welcoming. There were a lot of people having lunch there. We sat at the bar and the bartending was very friendly and helpful as it was our first time there. She let us try a bunch of different tap cocktails and frozen drinks. So when I had to return this month for some training, I brought the individual I was traveling with here. Great service from our server, Caleb, he was friendly and outgoing and truly displayed great hospitality. Their menu has so many great things on it that it is hard to choose just one item. Because I wasn't that hungry. I decided to go with a salmon bowl. This, in my mind, is actually the perfect portion sizing for dinner as it was a nice piece of salmon perfectly cooked and season by the way, on top of a small bit of cilantro rice with some tomatoes , avocado, red onion, and arugula. All I can say is WOW - after a long day my partner and I wanted some good food and good drinks, and fortunately we picked CraftWay. We came in pretty late (urgent care visit slowed us down lol) but were treated with kindness and quick, attentive service. I love a good frozen drink and the frozen Paloma did not disappoint. I ordered the crab cake on advice from our server and my partner got the steak frites. But we're amazing, but I swear - the lemon butter sauce that came with the crab cake is magical. Plus the brussel sprouts were probably the best I've ever had. You can tell everything here is made with care and the staff takes pride in the service and food. Absolutely the best service and food! I will go back as often as I can when I'm in Plano. I had the salmon BLT and the bacon alone was sweet and perfectly peppery! The salon was nicely seasoned and tender. The sandwich was served on a GF bun that was so soft it really impressed me. ( most restaurants just get basic bread and do their best to put it together and usually stale or hard.) I also had skinny fries because it was my BDay! They were so sweet sending a GF brownie that was like dark chocolate ganache and homemade old fashioned vanilla ice cream and a mountain of whipped cream! The lit candle was a very nice touch! Yay! Awesome personality, attentive, and upbeat. The blue cheese chips and spinach dip appetizers were a great start. I had the Cajun pasta with chicken. Although it wasn't very spicy it had excellent flavor, the pasta was saucy and the chicken was a nice large portion. The bread was perfectly crisp and buttery. The steak was cooked perfectly has potential to be amazing just needs spices desperately needs some spices . He loved the bread said he was able to eat it without having to tear it with his teeth , some hoagies are tough , this wasn't just nice and soft . The meat was tender, not fatty and but held together such as you could dip it without having a giant mass of meat inside the sauce, it was actually in the sandwich you could dip it, eat it, but it was soft enough that you could eat it. Was loud inside and cold. Our waiter was so nice , up until he walked up my husband wanted to leave . Cause people that came in after us were being offered water and no one had said anything to us . I can see why Craftway has so many positive reviews. However, after visiting many times in the past few years I would honestly would give it 3 1/2 stars. Here's what I like: I like the overall energy, it's warm and friendly and service is good. I like the cocktails and wine list. I did enjoy my entree which was the steak salad. Steak was cooked exactly as I ordered and was tasty. What I think is a miss-the salmon is consistently overcooked. Not a lot, maybe a couple of minutes but in those minutes salmon goes from juicy to dry. Another miss for me is the noise level-it is SO hard to have a conversation here! My ears were still ringing after I left the restaurant. This really affects my enjoyment level. read more

Sat at the bar solo. Nice place, good for casual dates or upscale family dinner. Ordered a terrible dirty martini that I returned. Then got a vodka splash of sprite. Also not great, tasted like the vodka was watered down. Got the French dip with Panko crusted fried asparagus. Sandwich was amazing. So it's been over a year since I was here and I love the new changes. They now dim the lights and we went around 7pm. There are no words for how delicious this food is and I haven't had anything bad yet. That salmon bowl is a must and I never order salmon out at restaurants but it was highly recommend by our server Brandon. Brandon was very attentive and even switched out my glass half way through my drink to keep it cold.
