Ambiance: The restaurant is fairly priced and it was not too busy during dinner time. The service is mediocre, there were not a lot of servers in the restaurant. The ambiance is so cute for a date night or just a cute meal. Le Beef: The small bites were okay but it was not my favorite flavor. The salad was really good and the vinaigrette paired well with the other toppings. The bread was heavenly, it was crispy on the outside and soft inside. The butter was also good and you can truly taste the flaky salt inside. The steak was really tender but it only tasted good with the sauce. The steak itself didn't have much flavor but it was still very juicy. Mousse: The mousse was a very light and airy dessert to end with. It paired really good with the salt as the chocolate is very rich. Very simple but good dessert to end with if you like chocolate. The portion is on the smaller end.
We decided to try Le Beef for lunch on a Saturday. There were a few other patrons, but the tables were spaced out, which made conversation comfortable and private. Our server brought water, took our drink order promptly, and explained how the prix fixe menu works: a canapé, salad, and entrée of your choice, with additional sides and desserts available for an extra charge. I ordered a fraisette and salmon, while my partner chose the fleur d'hibiscus and chicken. The canapés arrived with our beverages--a tasty bite of beef on gluten-free bread for me and a mini tart crust for my partner. Our salads and bread came next. The salads may not look like much in the photos, but the flavors worked beautifully together. My salmon was cooked perfectly, and of the four sauces provided, the chimichurri was my favorite. The fries were thin-cut, crispy, and lightly seasoned. My partner enjoyed his chicken too. Although we were already quite full, we decided to share a dessert each. Happily, everything is gluten-free. The cheesecake was light and mousse-like, while the crème brûlée was smooth and delicately flavored. Service was excellent from start to finish. We plan to return when we're in the mood for a leisurely lunch. Next time, we'll share a dessert!
My husband and I had a rare opportunity to get lunch together during the week, and we had wanted to try Le Beef, so we decided to check out the lunch menu. Aaaand it was just okay for me. The food tasted good enough. The salad was refreshing, the canapes were a bit salty but fine with a nice crunch from the Phyllo dough, and my husband's mocktail was yummy. The steak though was a bit tough. I ended up cutting mine into very small pieces and that made it ok, but it was a bit disappointing. I didn't like any of the sauces, but that was ok because I thought the steak was seasoned enough to eat without any sauce. I did enjoy the shoestring fries. Service was good, and food came out quickly, which is important especially for lunch. Before trying it, I thought it was a killer deal, but now I'm kind of like, I'm glad I tried it but I wouldn't really go back.
Parking: Free parking inside the garage. Interior: Clean, modern, open-design. Service: Went Friday evening - not sure if they were short-staffed but service was a bit slow. Had to remind the waitstaff about our drink order since it never came out. Food: Was excited to try out this place but found the food to be average. Also, not allergy-friendly. On the reservation, food allergies were mentioned and it was repeated by the hostess before we sat down. However, it would appear there was a disconnect with the communication and the message was not conveyed to the kitchen - the salad and two of the sauces that were brought out contained nuts. The allergies were reiterated to the waitstaff and they did remedy the situation. The dessert, fries, canapés, and bread were the stars of the meal. Drinks: The cocktail was okay but the Bordeaux wine was good.
Made reservations on a Saturday for me and my husband and another couple. There was some parking nearby but we decided to park in the parking garage. Once inside we were seated in a booth and greeted by our nice waiter. I've heard mixed reviews but I must say the food was good. The le beef sauce really gave the steak great flavor and the cheesecake was also my favorite. My only thing was we were enjoying ourselves just talking afterwards and we were rudely told we had to leave. I know there are time limits on tables which is ok it was the way in which we were told like we hadn't just spent $300 at our table on food and drinks. I would go back but leave immediately upon finishing my meal
Charming little spot for an easy happy hour or $30 prixe-fixed meal! I loved the sauce the they utilize on all their steaks and the tenderness of each cut. Their dessert menu is also marvelous - the house special mouse & creme brulee were my favorite!
Le Beef had a lot of positive reviews, so I came in with high expectations. The preset menu includes salad, bread, canapé, steak frites, and sweet potato fries for around $30, which is a pretty solid deal. The atmosphere was modern, clean, and nicely designed, and the bread was fresh and enjoyable (my favorite part of the meal). But the food itself didn't fully live up to the hype. My steak was a bit overcooked, most dishes weren't served very hot, and the salad was just okay- a little too bitter for me. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out enough to make me want to come back. Overall, an average dining experience with nice ambiance and fair pricing.
Food is delicious! Service was excellent! Come hungry! I loved the salad and the bread was served warm and the butter melted ( that's very important) Steak was perfect! I love thin fries Service is outstanding
Owner is great, place is snazzy, and the mouse with sea salt: impeccable. Finally, canapé, bread, salad and steak frittes for $30? Yeah, you can't beat that.
While the restaurant feels very high end with modern decor, the food itself is more than affordable, with a prefix menu set for 30 dollars that includes appetizers, bread, and main course. They were very efficient with taking our orders and the food also came out very quickly. The steak was perfect and I enjoyed the fresh crispy fries on the side as well. We ordered a couple desserts, crème brûlée was delicious, but the dark chocolate mousse was a bit too bitter for my taste though that's on me considering that it's dark chocolate. Highly recommend trying out the restaurant!
We had a great experience at Le Beef! We came by as a group of 4 around 6pm on a Monday - no wait. Parking is limited on the street, but plentiful in the parking garage. The setting is gorgeous, great taste in decor, music was fine, and the service was quick, professional & lovely. The menu is fixed and you can choose between chicken or the steak. It comes with a side of fries and grilled vegetables. The dipping sauce was delicious and the beef was super tender! About $35 a person. 100% going to come back and bringing new friends with me!
I've been wanting to dine here for a long time now, but I thought it would be okay. A little to my surprise, I actually loved it! Went in today, even of Valentine's and Friday and 7:30pm (prime dinner time) AND with no reservations.. my husband and I had to wait 45 mins, which isn't bad at all. We spent the time walking around outside. At first I thought maybe the portions were small, but really, after a salad, appetizer, bread, and steak with veggies and fries, you have just enough space for dessert! So it was perfect. All that for $30 is amazing in Plano. The restaurant is rather small, which is probably why the servers can give each customer proper attention. It's a family owned restaurant and you will often find enough of the family members working. It's a cute restaurant for a date night or girls night. Food: Everything was delicious, that's all I can say. Loved the chocolate mousse, and I love chocolate, it was delicious, but I wish it was a little less sweet.. the sweetness sort of hits you..
The Vibe: Le Beef feels effortlessly cool--classic, intimate, and confident without trying too hard. The Service: Attentive and polished without being stiff. Staff was knowledgeable, paced the meal well, and made the experience feel intentional rather than rushed. The Verdict: A dependable spot for a classic steak meal. * While the steak was well prepared, it wasn't especially memorable, it could use more salt. The fries stood out, and the overall experience was enjoyable.
My partner and I had a great date night here tonight. We both came in and got the steak set meal, and were impressed by the whole thing. The appetizer was interesting, with crunchy shell, a smoky sauce and a small touch of spice. The salad was clean and light, with great dressing that went well with the strawberries. Both our steaks were perfectly cooked to medium rare. They were a bit underseasoned, but I believe that to be because they want you to focus on the sauces. The light green was very herby, almost like creamy basil. The darker green was very similar with a touch of cuminy type flavor and spice. My favorite by far was the mustard, which was bright and well seasoned. The fries were average, but food vessels for the sauces and overall not the focus of the plate. Our server Patricia was kind and chatted with us often, ultimately recommending us our dessert, the cheesecake. I'd describe it more as a strawberry mousse with a chocolate crust and some nuts on top. It was certainly unique and very tasty. Overall, though a bit on the expensive end of date night, we very much enjoyed our meals and the value for money. Definitely planning on returning sometime read more

We came to Le BEEF for a date night and had a great experience. The steak frites were cooked perfectly, the fries were crispy, and trying the different sauces made the meal even better. We also had the sweet potato fries, Brussels sprouts, salad, bread, and beef canapés. Make sure to save room for dessert. We tried the crème brûlée, chocolate mousse, and strawberry dessert with pistachios, which was a great way to finish the meal. One of the highlights was getting to meet one of the owners. He told us about starting in food service in Brazil, and his passion for food and hospitality really comes through. You can tell guest satisfaction is something they care deeply about. I also appreciated hearing about the attention they're giving to gluten-free guests and making the restaurant more accommodating for different dietary needs. Le BEEF has a nice balance of feeling upscale while still being relaxed and approachable. Great food, great hospitality, and a place we'd happily return to. read more

Amazing service truly top tier from start to finish. We stopped in for Sunday lunch and took advantage of the $29.99 prix fixe, which included a salad and their specialty steak frites. We were also treated to a few delicious canapés along with warm bread and butter, which was a lovely touch. The salad itself was fresh, though the dressing was a bit mild and could use more flavor. The steak was served with a green sauce that added a nice element, but we found ourselves adding salt to really bring out the flavors and get the juices flowing. The fries were crispy and well seasoned and that same seasoning would be incredible on the steak itself. Also, more options for people who don't eat steak- maybe a salmon filet. I know it's called Le Beef, but maybe for those who would prefer something else for the night. Some additions could also be aioli for the French fries or truffle fries. Maybe a classic chimichurri sauce for the steak as well. The desserts were delicious. A standout part of the experience was Alex. He was welcoming, passionate, and took the time to share his vision for the restaurant and his hopes to bring even more offerings to Le Beef. His honesty, humility, and dedication to the community truly stood out. We were there because he had generously dropped off gift cards to a local school, and a friend treated us to lunch, which made the experience even more meaningful. Alex genuinely believes in community and education, and that heart shows through in his work. With a few small tweaks, this place has the potential to be truly top notch. read more
We walked in on a whim and because the Thai place across the street was unexpectedly not open, but Boy, did we have a wonderful time! Ambience was just like a French Bistro in Paris Inside and outside. Service was with all smiles ( unlike the French) and owner came over to explain their cuisine and rationale for the pre fixe menu! The pre fixe dishes were prepared exquisitely, the meats were dry aged and then cooked perfectly and the tarragon sauce was both unique and very flavorful! The drinks too were well made and perfectly matched to the Le Beef pre fixe menu. The butter leaf lettuce salad was the perfect starter and the special tasting was both tasty and Avant Garde! And the Chocolat Mousse was delicious ! And portions were perfect for a light lunch ! We plan to come back for a wholesome dinner here as menu staying same, the portions are slightly larger! read more
!!! Amazing experience !!! We wanted to eat Thai for lunch but the restaurant was closed saw Le Beef & just went with the flow... & Oh Boy it didn't disappoint us at all... sometimes change is good. It was a Prix Fixe Menu - menu celebrates steak-frites at its finest: enjoy a salad to start, then a beautifully prepared steak with golden frites, and maybe a little je ne sais quoi along the way to really make it special. You have the option to choose from Steak , Chicken , Sausages or Veggies. We opted for Steak & it was so beautifully prepared, juicy & nice flavors it was accompanied by the fries & their secret sauce.... For the price this was a steal & perfectly portioned for lunch. They also gave a tasting of their steak canopy it was delicious & to end the meal they also gave a small serving of mousse al chocolat with a sprinkle of sea salt. For drinks we opted for cocktails- Bisou Bisou & Tourjous Al A Mode both were made very well. Everything we tasted including the salad was exceptional. Service was amazing , ambience was amazing. We got the chance to speak with the owner he was very warm & friendly . Made was so comfortable. Will definitely plan on returning for dinner it a must try!!!!! read more

The facade is cute, interior decor is cute.. French music playing in the background. Food was good, you could tell they use higher grade beef. I got medium, my daughter got medium but long after chewing I realized her beef was way redder than mine. I realized mine was more like medium well. I liked the sweet potato fries they gave out. Not so much a fan of their pesto basil sauce so asked for ketchup. The string fries were great We will come back. read more
Tried this restaurant for the very first time tonight and the place is beautifully designed inside with outdoor sitting. The service was not bad but a bit slow in my opinion. The food is also a pre-fix menu style with option of chicken or steak. I chose steak and it came with appetizer, bread, salad, and fries. Food was pretty good but a bit salty in my opinion. Overall not a bad experience. read more
$30 for multiple course meal is a steal in this economy! we had dinner for two and surprisingly the steak was bomb. You get a butter lettuce salad with strawberries, it was perfect. I love that type of lettuce. They gave us chicken and veggies pastries to start. I ordered my steak medium well and it was cooked to perfection. Service was great! we also had the balsamic and la vie en rose drinks. The rose drink was really sweet, the balsamic was refreshing! read more

Had a pretty nice experience at Le Beef. Had been meaning to check it out with there finally being a steak frites place closer by. We got the lunch special which looked like a great deal. We started with the salad which was just okay. The lettuce was wilted and on the smaller side. They sent us some complimentary canapes which were like meat tarts. A little salty but good. The steak frites portion came out afterwards and was on the smaller side but I guess that's to be expected for lunch lunch. It was overall pretty good. Steak wasn't the best cut but still tasted good with the sauce. Fries were a little overcooked and on the crunchy side. Dessert was a chocolate mousse which was in a small ramekin. FYI, tasted like there was alcohol in there but pretty good with the salt on top. Overall had a pretty good experience. The interior and design was beautiful and felt like something you'd see in Paris. Might come back and try dinner next time but thought it was a good value for the price point. read more

We stopped into Le Beef at Legacy in Plano for lunch today, and what a pleasant surprise. They've only been open about 45 days, but everything already feels dialed in. The vibe is very French -- classy, cozy, and beautifully decorated -- and the location couldn't be better. Our server, Blaze, was awesome. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and walked us through their prix fixe lunch menu, which was a great deal at $29 per person. It starts with a light salad, a beef canapé, and a basket of warm bread with salted butter that was absolutely fantastic. For the main course, it's all about their steak frites, which come cooked rare, medium, or well-done (no in-betweens like medium-rare or medium-well). We both went with medium, and it came out perfectly cooked. The steak is served with their house Le Beef sauce, which Blaze described as "earthy" with 17 (or maybe 19!) ingredients -- whatever's in it, it's rich, complex, and pairs perfectly with the steak. The portion sizes were generous, and by the end, we were both too full to even think about dessert (though we definitely wanted to). They do offer chicken or sausage as alternatives if steak isn't your thing, but for a first visit, we had to go classic. Overall, it was a great first experience -- really good food, friendly service, and a nice French touch that feels right at home in Legacy. We'll definitely be back for dinner soon, probably with a few friends next time. read more
For my wife and I to have a date night here with dessert and a drink, it was about $90 dollars. The steak was excelente! I liked the thin cut fries and the steak sauce. All the sides were good too, but nothing exceptional. The dessert tasted amazing, the salt on top was a really nice touch. But... as you can see, the presentation looked like something you shouldn't eat. We had one main server and a few other servers who would bring out the courses. Overall the service was good, but I felt a little neglected throughout the night and had to get up to ask for things like water and ketchup. I enjoyed watching the chef grill the steaks the whole evening though. Overall a positive experience. The ambiance is what puts it up to a 4 for me. Without that I would rate the food above average, but for the price, it's not something I will go out of my way to return to. read more
With attentive service, a nice atmosphere, and very good food, all for $30, how can this not be five star? It's a unique concept. Only three main course options; steak, chicken, or sausage. To compare it to any of the fine dining steakhouses would be apples to oranges. Both of us had the steak option and we enjoyed it (flavorful and tender). I thought the pesto sauce was OK but the steak by itself was just fine and I prefer it plain. Somewhere around 8 to 10 ounces it seems like, and a ton of some of the best french fries I have had. Ketchup is optional, but they make their own and it's delicious. They offer three temperature options; rare, medium, or well done. Our server said that medium was closer to medium rare, and he was exactly right. It was a perfect medium rare. Our server was a really nice guy and overall very good, but he was rushing us the whole night. We subtly pushed him off a few times, but he never took the hint and kept pushing the entire night (e.g., asked my wife if she would like to start the first course before I even sat down and then later asked us if we would like to see the dessert menu before we even finished our entrées). He just needs a little training. There were empty tables as it was the middle of the week, but I felt like he was trying to turn us over quickly. Put it this way, our reservation was at 6:30 PM, I parked the car and sat down at 6:40 PM, and we were on the tollway headed home at 7:25 PM. And that's having two glasses of wine, the three course fixed price meal, and dessert in that amount of time. Speaking of dessert, we had the crème brûlée (a huge portion for only $9.95). I think it was the best crème brûlée I've ever tasted. I highly recommend it. Easily shareable for 2 to 3 people. Definitely give this place a try. read more

Steak was pretty good hit the spot. Juicy and had a great bite. Not a big fan of the sauce though 8/10 Fries were crispy and delicious 9/10 My drink was pretty mediocre. It was a sweet vodka 5/10 The desserts were pretty disappointing. I don't consider them on par with the rest of the menu. The chocolate mousse I would not order again. The presentation was poor but the taste was decent. 6/10 The strawberry cheesecake has a more runny texture but was too tart with the syrup. 4/10 . I'd stick with their main menu read more
Le Beef, the newest concept by David Jeiel and Alex Nunes, the owners of EG Steak and Bavette, takes its inspiration from French Bistros and the popular dish, Steak and Frites. With that lineage, the expectations are high and as expected, Le Beef doesn't disappoint. The red building stands out from the rest of the Shops at Legacy and immediately reminds you of a small Bistro in France with the small outside seating area in the side walk. Inside the decor is modern yet cozy and welcoming. The menu is a prix fixed offering of an appetizer salad, a side of fresh bread and butter, an amuse bouche, the steak and fries with a homemade sauce, and a side of the day. There is a nice selection of French wines and two French beers as well Finally, there are four different desserts, a Chocolate Mousse, a Strawberry Cheesecake, a Creme Brûlée, and Henry's Ice Cream. The salad was refreshing and light, with cranberries, pistachios, strawberries and a light, slightly tart dressing. The bread, airy and delicious with the salted butter. The main course, the steak, was cooked to order (rare, medium, or well-done) and very tender. The sauce, green and creamy, was a nice mix of nutty, earthy, and herbaceous. Kind of a creamy pistachio pesto. It paired excellent with the beefiness of the steak and the perfectly crispy and salty shoestring fries. The side today were grilled zucchini, squash, and confitted tomatoes. I don't usually like tomatoes, but I took seconds! They were sweet and delicious! The desserts, we tried all of them, were dreamy! The fluffy, light strawberry cheesecake, the rich and creamy chocolate mousse with salt flakes, and the decadent Creme Brûlée, you can't go wrong with any of them. And I haven't even mentioned the delicious Mocktails my kids devoured! Finally, here too, as in the sister restaurants, the service is flawless. What a great addition to the Shops at Legacy! read more

Overall i had a great experience. The steak and fries were had a great crisp to them. The sauces paired well with the meat. The salad was fresh and balanced but personally I prefer the leaves chopped a bit smaller. The sides were good and the creme brûlée was smooth. The restaurant is cute. Everything was served at once instead of in separate courses at a good pace so it felt slightly rushed. Overall i would come back. read more

So, wifey & I eat out at various establishments throughout DFW shamelessly at an obscene amount of venues with even places like Celina & Llano not being "too far" to go. She's an American Airlines flight attendant for over 27 years. We've visited the very same name-sake establishment in Paris, France, several times & this locations iteration or knock-off copy spinoff franchise is so VERY much better than the one in France....with the normal fledgling finding-their-footing growing-pains The Brasilian Couple & Brother of this restaurant group hosting this enterprise are serious in what they are actually & factually bringing to the table. I'm reminded of the ambiance of Cacharel but breezier & more of a (to borrow a phrase coined most recently at the table) "white-washed casual French" - the bathrooms?? Actually ornate & quite the opposite but typical high-end frenchesque. Friendly attentive host-guides & a team that circles the dining room as if choreographed & smilingly helpful towards each other. Tip of the hat goes to Fernando, Alexis, and Isabella!. Happy to see a vegetarian offering now although as a vegetarian since the 80's? The sizing assumes the same portion as that of the other entrees as sufficient without realising V's need more volume versus the denser protein offerings. Happy to hear of a recent addition of Chilean Coho Salmon. A pan-seared sole with Caper'ed Beurre Blanc on griddle-d fenugreek & Asparagus "fries" would/could/should work??. The only thing that would end the dinner affaire with a banger?? Would be "soufflé's" - although elegant & breathtaking they're not that hard to make anyways apart from the mystique. I would recommend a revamp of how the Chocolate Mousse is served at dinner-time & perhaps elevate the vegetarian plate. Lower the lights for the dinner venue, hang some dividing ceiling-to-floor curtains (noise dispersion coupled with sectionalising the layout with soft-walls). I know, I know.... if I know so much, why don't I open up my own restaurant?. Yeah, I'm in my 60s... testosterone is lower than I was in my 20s & 30s & it's about capital preservation at this age so that I don't end up dependent upon "the State" or "relatives". read more

What a wonderful, unexpected surprise. I was excited about a place that offered (basically) one thing--steak frites--but also hesitant. If you're going to only really offer one thing, you better do it damn well. We had an 8pm reservation, and luckily, since there isn't much deciding to do, our orders were placed by 8:05 and our salad and bread were at the table by 8:10. In a dining world of decision overload, it was a wonderful change of pace to have this level of simplicity. We had the starter salad, bread, vegetables, steak frites, and the strawberry cheesecake, and it was all absolutely fantastic. Yes, the steak could've used more salt, but it was cooked perfectly and the accompanying sauces were all delicious in their own ways (though charging $4 for extra sauce was ridiculous). For $30 a person (not including dessert), this was a great deal. The decor and ambience were lovely, service was excellent, the courses were well-timed, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the owner/manager stopped by a few times for some lovely conversation. I'd never even heard of this place before, went the same day, and now I can't wait to go back. 10/10 would recommend. read more

We had such a great experience! The steak and fruits were so tasty. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. They only allow the steaks to be done in three different ways which is rare, medium, and well done. I wish they offered the Inbetweeners as well. The salad was smaller and simple, but the dressing was great. The chocolate mousse presentation was fantastic and the crème brûlée was tasty as well! I wish that the sizes of the plates were a bit bigger. The ambience is nice and the service was a bit slow. I would come back! read more

One of the better steak places I've been in my life. This place only has a small simple menu but they do a really good job. The location has a lot of parking and the location is beautiful inside. This place is also really affordable and around 30 for the meal. read more
This is a new cute steak restaurant that features a prefixed menu. For $24 pp, you get an app, salad, and the main course - which is the steak and frites. All of them were delicious but it was a pretty small portion, so some of us were still hungry lol.. Just be aware, parties of 5+ will have to sit outside, as they only have 4 person seatings inside. Desserts were not included in the prefixed menu. We tried all of them and only the crème brûlée was good tbh. It was over all okay, it was cool to try it but I don't know if I'll be back. read more
This restaurant experience is different given the menu at Le Beef is single and prefix meaning no picky eaters it's the only option so keep that in mind for larger group! Personally, I feel like it's more suitable for more private conversations or intimate settings without the fluff. It was casual enough to wear jeans but just a tough of elegance that it'd be great as date night or an office dinner. My picture shows the USDA Prime top blade steak, fries, and their signature sauce. I appreciate for non-beef eaters they had options to substitute chicken or sausage. read more
