We were shocked by this place. The pictures don't do justice to the wonderful selection of quality foods. The drinks were just as tasty as the dinner. I had the Cajun pasta with Chicken and Shrimp. Everything is well seasoned, great portions, and delicious. I love the variety of food they offer. If you're a fan of bread pudding, this is the place for you. Easily the best bread pudding I've had at a restaurant! As far the restaurant itself, I haven't sat inside yet so my opinion is solely based on the patio. Everything is clean, the ambiance is nice and casual. The service is fine. The waiters aren't super attentive, there were times I've had to ask for silverware, water refills, etc. However, I've had worse service at other establishments so I wouldn't let that deter me from returning. Well my waitress was very good and the drinks were delicious. I ordered a Beef Wellington and it was around 50$. I ordered it medium. It came out very rare and already cut so they could see it was rare. I took a nibble off the end and it was great. But it was so rare it was chewy. So the girl took it back and it came back so week done that it was grey. The crust was then all soggy and it was just gross. I ate it. It was $50 but Was not like any Wellington I ever had. The waitress gave me a $15 coupon for next time. ( I didn't ask and I didn't complain again) so they knew it wasn't good. The mashed potatoes were divine, the Mac and cheese just ok. Went there for our first time on a Saturday night, it was busy but was able to get a seat quickly. Thought about sitting on patio due to the noise but there was a loud group of women on the patio so chose inside. Fortunately they turned the music down shortly after getting settled. The waitress,Laila was excellent, was very pleasant and helpful with suggestions. She took great care of us. The spinach dip was some of the best I've ever had. We had the French onion soup and the mushroom soup, both were great. Was nice getting the inion soup and not getting a sodium overload. The cocktail was great. Got the steak frites, but it came out Luke warm and had absolutely zero seasoning. Also got the trout, it was also lukewarm and no real seasoning. This is probably one of my new favorite restaurants in the area. The cocktails are great, the service is great, it was fairly crowded for a Tuesday evening when I went but everyone seemed to be enjoying the space, the food is phenomenal. At my table we ordered a little bit of everything from the chicken parm dip (dipping the sandwich into tomato soup is just genius), fish and chips, and I had the blackened shrimp pasta. Craftway is my absolute favorite non-fine-dining restaurant in the area. It's my go-to recommendation any time someone is looking for a good place to eat. I've tried half of the menu and I can honestly say that I've never had a dud. I appreciate that they keep adding new items from time to time to always give me a fresh reason to go back. My only complaint is that it's not closer to my house! My favorite appetizer is probably the calamari, but I also love the spinach dip and we frequently order the blue cheese chips. Most of their appetizers can be done in half sizes too! In case nobody wants to split one with you, ask your waiter for a half size. My go-to order is the cajun shrimp pasta. It's literally perfect. Lots of spice and flavor, unlike the ones you've probably tried before. I also make it a point to come on Mondays for Meatloaf monday (with extra gravy) because that dish is SO GOOD. The french dip is excellent, as are all of the sides we've tried. Mac n Cheese, perfectly seasoned steak fries (they also have skinny), mashed potatoes, you really can't go wrong. Craftway truly has something for everyone on the menu. I cannot think of another restaurant that I've recommended more than Craftway kitchen. It's a must, if you're in the area. Craftway used to be exceptional. I was genuinely impressed by both the service and the food. Even the mediocre indoor atmosphere felt forgivable because everything else was top notch. Now, the experience feels average at best. The food is no longer memorable, just "pretty good" or "decent." Service remains excellent, but that's the only thing that hasn't slipped. The floors inside were so dirty they were actually slippery. It felt strange and unsafe. My fish was overcooked. The Brussels sprouts were overwhelmed by an overly sweet maple glaze. My son's French fries tasted stale, like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp all afternoon. Even the mac and cheese, once addictive, tasted off. Different, and not in a good way. Craftway is still a decent spot, but it's no longer one I recommend or think of often. Maybe the packed dining room means others don't notice the decline, or they never experienced how good it used to be. read more

Food was decent and the wait staff was friendly. Ambiance was that of a small bistro and it was an open floor plan in the dining room next to a large bar. Lots of people moving around though which did feel crowded at times. They also offer patio seating and the area is upscale. I got the fish and chips and my wife got the French dip and we split both meals between us. I thought the sandwich was better and my wife felt both were greasy and didn't enjoy the food as much. Prices were higher than I expected and I spent more than $50 for lunch which to me was too high. I am not sure if we will be back but I am glad we tried it. read more

The Cajun pasta chicken has so much flavor, the pasta was perfectly creamy and the bell peppers were perfectly cooked - not wilted at all, still had a nice crunch. Stopped in with the girlfriend after discovering that Bread Winner's hours were not what were posted. Ordered the fried asparagus for appetizer, had the salmon salad, she had the pastrami Rueben and tomato soup. There was a bit of a mix up around who the server would be, no biggie, it was his second day. But it did take a fair amount of time for the right server to arrive and for us to get waters. The asparagus was really good, but almost half of it was the tough part of the asparagus and nearly inedible. Her soup was good, with a bright citrus taste to it. My salmon salad was really good, though the salmon flavor was a bit dominated by the taste of burnt wood. Her Rueben was incredibly bland, the Russian dressing had no zing, the sauerkraut was flavorless, and the pastrami tasted more like a smoked brisket than a proper pastrami. It's a shame because a Rueben is a TON of calories so if you are going to eat one, you want to enjoy it. The real standout though was... the fries? They had a perfect, crisp outside with a soft inside, burying with potato taste, minimal grease, and a decent amount of salt (though my personal preference is more salt). As I like to say, "price sets expectations" and this meal was rather pricey by the standards of the other meals I have been eating in the area. And what we got just did not live up to those expectations. Asparagus could have been great if they gave us 6 or 8 stalks and chopped off the tough half. The Rueben - which was cooked perfectly - needed someone who has been to New York City, Chicago, or Montreal to smarten them up on what brand of pastrami to buy and how to make a great Russian (or thousand island) dressing. If I am paying near $20 for a sandwich and it is a 1,500 calorie event before we even look at the appetizer or side, it needs to be the platonic ideal of a sandwich, not the shadow puppet on the cave wall. Now I know why everyone keeps talking about and recommending Craftway Kitchen! I met a friend here for lunch. There's not a lunch specific menu, but I didn't care because there were plenty of options. In fact, the menu reminded me of what you'd see on offer at any clubby business lunch place in a downtown metropolitan area. I chose the ahi tuna bowl. You only have to glimpse at the photo to know how impressive it was. Let me tell you it was delicious also. I've fallen in love - with a french onion soup. OMG guys- it's the best one I've had in the area. It comes out beautiful with this Channing Tatum hotness of a crust and the soup itself - let's just say if it were between this soup and a night with Chris Evans....ok....I'd take the night with Chris Evans and eat the soup in bed with Chris. It wasn't as good as I remembered. It's been a couple of years since my last visit. The service was solid but the noise inside was on the loud side. The candied bacon was ok - it was incredible in the past. Both steak were charred and really dry. Overcooked based on what was requested. The steaks reminded me of how my dad tried to cook steaks when I was a kid - nice attempt but there are reasons why he didn't become a chef. Two of us experienced significant stomach issues after dining. Maybe some type of cross contamination? I went because of the great past memories. But after this experience I don't think I'll go there again. Just no longer the exceptional food it once served. read more

I did the chicken parm sandwich which came with dipping sauce . Very unique and nothing I've never tried before. Imagine a chicken sandwich with roasted tomato soup dipping sauce . I've been to the Frisch location before, and honestly this is my FAVORITE restaurant in the DFW area. Both locations are far from my unfortunately , but if I'm headed up north this place is a MUST! Food: Where do I start? Let me start with my go to Salmon BLT, side of fries, and jalapeño ranch! BOMB. Literally has me in a chokehold. The fish sandwich is also a banger, and the Brussel sprouts yummmmm! Their desserts are also a bob, go for the bread pudding! Drink: Cocktails are delicious! I was expecting soft, fluffy beignets that melt in your mouth but I was met with a crispy, crunchy type texture...almost like they were over cooked. The powdered sugar is why it even gets 3 stars. Frose': 6/10 Taste wise it was okay wish there was a little more vodka and it came in a different glass but it was cute. French toast: 5/10 It was very over cooked - so much so that I had to eat around it for the most part. I didn't taste much flavor. The eggs were okay...I'd give them a 6 but 2 eggs for $4 is crazy! But that's inflation for you. Bread pudding: 6/10 Ordered to go but I like that it came with ice cream but it melted by the time I got home...no fault of the restaurant; that's the Texas heat for you! The restaurant was very busy, it seems every table was occupied. Brandon was very attentive without being pushy. We ordered crab stuffed mushrooms and tuna nachos as appetizers. Both were fantastic. For entree we had salmon cakes w/mac n' cheese, smoked duck breast with Parmesan risotto and salmon with asparagus. The food was PHENOMENAL - hot, flavorful and simply fantastic. After finishing a 5K, my partner and I decided to treat ourselves, and this spot did not disappoint. Walking in with our shirts and medals, the hostesses greeted us like champions, making us feel like we had just finished a marathon. She was especially warm and friendly, giving us high fives and promptly seating us in a comfortable booth. Our waitress was equally delightful, giving us plenty of attention and walking us through the options from the regular, specials, and brunch menus. With so many tempting choices, I finally settled on the salmon BLT, while my partner went for the chicken and waffles. The food was exceptional. My salmon BLT was perfectly cooked--the salmon tender, the bacon crispy--but the sandwich was so packed with goodness that I was afraid to set it down for fear it might fall apart. Meanwhile, the chicken and waffles were a hit: crispy, flavorful chicken paired with a spongy, perfectly cooked waffle. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations.
