Crab cake entree
Aria M.

All I can say is WOW - after a long day my partner and I wanted some good food and good drinks, and fortunately we picked CraftWay. We came in pretty late (urgent care visit slowed us down lol) but were treated with kindness and quick, attentive service. I love a good frozen drink and the frozen Paloma did not disappoint. I ordered the crab cake on advice from our server and my partner got the steak frites. But we're amazing, but I swear - the lemon butter sauce that came with the crab cake is magical. Plus the brussel sprouts were probably the best I've ever had. You can tell everything here is made with care and the staff takes pride in the service and food. We will definitely be back soon - this might be a new regular spot for us!!

My wife and I stopped here as stop #2 of our day date and it was a great experience. The ambiance was nice and welcoming. There were a lot of people having lunch there. We sat at the bar and the bartending was very friendly and helpful as it was our first time there. She let us try a bunch of different tap cocktails and frozen drinks. I ordered the frozen old fashioned, it was delicious! Super tasty, strong, good size, and price. My wife ordered a pineapple martini, which I tried and it was also tasty. The bartender came over and gave us a free appetizer tasting which was awesome. It was coconut shrimp, fried asparagus, chicken tenders & crab stuffed mushrooms. You can tell they really care about the customers. I would love to come back and try a full meal with my family.

Where has this place been hiding? I swear I've drivin this shopping center a hundred times over and never paid any attention to this cute little place. My friend suggested it and wow! I'm going back. We started with a few froze's. Shared the Spinach Dip, Coconut Shrimp, and split a bowl of the clam chowder. All of it was amazing. The service was great. Such a cute place and they have a great patio situation for when the weather gets warmer. We will definitely be back.

When I was here last month, I was brought to this location by the group that I was with, and the food was delicious. So when I had to return this month for some training, I brought the individual I was traveling with here. Great service from our server, Caleb, he was friendly and outgoing and truly displayed great hospitality. Their menu has so many great things on it that it is hard to choose just one item. Because I wasn't that hungry. I decided to go with a salmon bowl. This, in my mind, is actually the perfect portion sizing for dinner as it was a nice piece of salmon perfectly cooked and season by the way, on top of a small bit of cilantro rice with some tomatoes , avocado, red onion, and arugula. Truly the perfect portion size and I devoured everything on the plate.

Went for a birthday lunch. Everyone ranted and RAVED about their food. But the star of the show? The blue cheese chips!!

I love when restaurants split the plates without having to ask. This was my first time having beef Wellington and wowwww! So good. Service was great! Drinks were strong and tasty. Can't go wrong at craftway at all.

French onion soup

Craftway Kitchen is extremely popular for a reason. We had a table outside, which was seasonally decorated and fun with surrounding holiday lights. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. I ordered a chicken Cobb salad which was generously portioned with extremely fresh ingredients. The French onion soup came with a delicious and generously sized puff pastry on top. It was equally excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant!

French toast and tacos
Shonna R.

The service and atmosphere of this place is a delight but the food fell short of the greatness I expected. Both the french toast and the tacos lacked proper flavor that one would expect. The food was so beautiful but the beauty did not go beyond a cute pic. We had fun and the drinks were good but I think next time we will try some lunch options.

Frosé

Staff was super friendly. Restaurant was nice and clean, including the bathrooms. Food could've used more flavor, but a dash of Crystal's hot sauce helped to balance out the flavor. The frosé is delicious!

I can see why Craftway has so many positive reviews. However, after visiting many times in the past few years I would honestly would give it 3 1/2 stars. Here's what I like: I like the overall energy, it's warm and friendly and service is good. I like the cocktails and wine list. I did enjoy my entree which was the steak salad. Steak was cooked exactly as I ordered and was tasty. What I think is a miss-the salmon is consistently overcooked. Not a lot, maybe a couple of minutes but in those minutes salmon goes from juicy to dry. Another miss for me is the noise level-it is SO hard to have a conversation here! My ears were still ringing after I left the restaurant. This really affects my enjoyment level.

We always enjoy our meals at Craftway Kitchen. My favorite is the salmon BLT. I also love starting the evening with a frozen Paloma.

Warm wood tones, beautiful lighting, and that perfect upscale-yet-cozy feel make the whole place feel special. The elk tacos were straight-up fantastic -- perfectly seasoned, tender elk, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of heat. I could have eaten a second order without hesitation. Then came the chicken fried steak, and it did not disappoint. Crispy, golden crust, juicy and flavorful meat, and that classic creamy gravy that tastes like it was made with love. Every bite was pure comfort food elevated. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and elevated, yet still warm and welcoming. If you're in Plano and want a restaurant that nails both the food and the atmosphere, Haywire is it. I'm already planning my next visit. Hands-down 10/10. It's got that Texas feel to it, but cleaned up a bit. Comfortable, but still a little polished. The food was really solid across the board. You know how brunch can sometimes just be... fine? This wasn't that. Everything tasted like someone actually cared about it. Good seasoning, cooked right, and just enough creativity without overdoing it. It still felt like brunch, just done properly. Drinks were great too. Not over-the-top, just well-made and easy to enjoy. Definitely the kind of place where one turns into two without much convincing. Service was smooth--friendly, attentive, but relaxed. Nobody hovering, nobody rushing you out. Just a good flow to the whole meal. We ended up sitting there longer than we planned, just hanging out and enjoying it, which probably says the most. If you're in Frisco and want a brunch spot that actually feels worth going to, Haywire's a safe bet.
