Pizza we ordered was just okay but the service was definitely unpleasant. Staff didn't seem to want to be there and you can tell by the way they looked and talk to you. Also, the bathroom was blocked off, so you couldn't even wash your hands. read more

Honestly I don't expect much from a outlet mall type restaurant, typically they're good enough to grab a snack while you're shopping, but not something very memorable. I have to say that Italia Express was a pleasant surprise to me. Their slice is crispy and delicious, if you like the crispy slice versus the roll up and eat slice. I had their meatball sub as well which was fantastic, it's all about the meatballs. I've been to this place when it was still in the food courts of the old layout @ Allen outlet mall! Now it's new and improved! Layout, interior equipment, space, and staff is amazing! They kept this place clean since they have opened! Their food is the same yet taste better than before! I had asked the manager/partner/owner questions. How's the rent now compared to before? It is higher because it is now considered a suite with more sqft. How is the clientele? In my opinion it is always packed and people still order Togo! How is the equipment? Brand new appliances and also bigger space. They can produce more food! Last but not least. Has your product changed? No they still keep it authentic. I had gotten a classic pepperoni slice and another with mushrooms and sausage. I had devoured both of them. My 2 year told daughter had half of the garlic twist bread. She even asked for more! However, they need to wear the gloves while making pizza. It is much cleaner and healthier than using hand without gloves. Went to the outlets, kids wanted pizza, went to the food court, came to Italia Express. Food was good, especially for a food court. Crust was thin, crispy and flavorful. Toppings were plentiful and fresh. They use deck ovens to reheat slices and that's the way to do it. Service was exceptional. Was treated better than any pizzeria maybe because it was dead when I went but nevertheless was mindblown by the level of service at a food court! It was obvious to me there was a lot of owner pride in this small business. Calzone was good, too. Crispy in the outside, fresh ingredients inside. All of the kids devoured their food and demanded for more. This is probably the most impressive small business I've seen run inside of a food court. Great selection of juices and soft drinks, except no lemonade, and a lot of food offered there. I will go back to take my family for pizza night. read more

Unassumingly tucked inside the food court of a bustling outlet shopping mall, Italia Express is good enough to warrant a Yelp review. The owners of the store are polite and always so accommodating and courteous -- usually the brothers of the family owned joint are standing behind the counter but sometimes you see mom or dad. They ask you for what you would like from a wide selection of calzones, strombolis, cheese/garlic breads, etc., and my favorite part -- they pop their creations back into the oven to toast and warm them before they serve them up to you! Best part of Italia Express that sets it apart from other Italian places in the area is the fact that they DON'T overdose their food with salt. This makes all the difference because I don't feel nearly as greasy, gross, and guilty after finishing a meal. My favorites from them are their cheese breads and spinach calzone, which includes at least two different types of cheese and fresh-tasting spinach. Depending on what you order, they also give you marinara dipping sauce that is light yet flavorful enough you could drink it!
