I don't know if we went on a off day because we were a little underwhelmed with most of what we ordered. What we did like were the calamari and the sauce the lobster ravioli comes in. That sauce was so good and perfect for dipping bread. Even though it's lobster ravioli, it has chunks of the fake crab meat/sticks in it. That part of the dish was not good at all. The alfredo and spaghetti needed more salt and seasoning. The pizza crust was thin which I like, but it was soggy which I didn't like. When we got there, we did not mention our neighbor , because we did not want special any treatment or putting them on a spot. BUT , let me tell you , every one was so nice and friendly. The food was great , even my husband's dish though it was gluten free ( and its hard to make any food delicious when its gluten free !) . The owner then came to greet us and asked how we liked the food, and that's when we told him about the neighbor who suggested the restaurant t. Pizza - thinner crust was delish or I was starving so anything tasted good. The flour mix was pleasant with the right amount of gooey, melted cheese and toppings (pineapple, onions and pepperoni). The pie wasn't overwhelming with bread flavor or with lots of meats. Just a wonderful balance with every bite. Would not recommend to go as this pizza is meant to be eaten piping hot out of the oven. Had a few leftover slices later in the hotel and it was not as pleasant. Wings - Various flavors and Spicy Buffalo was selected. Wings had a decent kick and heft. The cool ranch dip balanced well with the spicy crispy wing as we lick the sauce off our fingers. These are just the two items I have tried. Other items I will try once I acquire my lake house near Allen will be the Lasagna, Deep dish pies, and the plethora of Pasta/Carb dishes that are offered such as the Ziti, fettucine and cannelloni. The pasta dishes do come in variant sauce flavors & meats including veal. What I will not try are the salads. I am sure they are wonderful. Napoli were out of Fried Ravioli during my visit so that is definitely on my hit list. The other appetizers I can't wait to dive into are the garlic buns, fried cheese, homemade bread and stuffed mushrooms. Without watching too closely, and with my slice folded, I bit into something that was like a wad of sand. Blackish gritty junk that did not taste like food. Is this retaliation for me placing an order for delivery? Or is this just something wrong in the kitchen? Either way it's disgusting. I spit it out, with appetite ruined. Gag reflex. They offer a tasty menu that ranges from Calzone's, pasta to pizza. We've tried everything and haven't had an unsatisfactory dinner experience yet. My spaghetti has no seasoning- it was as if they poured tomato sauce in with ground beef/meatballs & added zero seasoning. No garlic, no salt- just blah. Note to restaurant owner- go back to having salt on your tables! No seasoning from an Italian restaurant- not acceptable. My husband agreed with my "tasteless" assessment. My husband and I ordered dinner here one night: pasta primavera for me and chicken marsala for him. COVID-19 restrictions were still set in place, so I made the order on the phone and did a curbside pickup all within 20 minutes. I didn't get a chance to go inside, but the location is located on a corner of a shopping center (Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market) on the corner of Exchange and Allen Heights. The staff was pretty nice and friendly; I appreciated that they came up to me right as soon as I pulled up, asked for my order, paid, and picked up all without having to get outside of my car. It was super easy! Also what was cool was that our pasta dishes + garlic bread was placed inside of pizza box. It was kind of fun! The pasta primavera was pretty much a fettuccine noodle with alfredo sauce and veggies like broccoli, onions, and mushrooms. The marsala had two pieces of grilled chicken on top of spaghetti and marsala sauce. While both were served in good portions, the ratio of sauce to noodles was off. There was just too much sauce. The flavor for both dishes was pretty standard as well, nothing special. The bread was good to dip the extra sauce with. Overall, this is a pretty standard Italian restaurant in Allen. Always a pleasure coming here. Today I had the Zita lunch special. Came with salad with ranch dressing. I also had a diet coke. Food was great, hot, and plentiful. Salad was a bit on the non-green side (not bad, just not so much green lettuce . I'm used to a lot of green in my salad. Different strokes I guess. Waiter was very attentive. Used to come here for pizza on Friday nights but moved away and got take out pizza elsewhere, mainly to reduce cost in the household. The owner/manager came around and spoke with us. WOW- Cannot believe it has taken me this long to review this fantastic hole in the wall Italian restaurant. When you walk in the atmosphere isn't great, BUT you can see handmade pasta being made in the back, and that's a sight unbeatable. I have been eating here for about two years now and i have absolutely no complaints about the food. Unfortunately, some of the wait staff is very condescending and almost makes you feel bad for eating there. I have overcome this attitude from some of the employees(and i say some because it is only from 2 or 3), but the owners attitude makes up for it all. He will visit your table and ask you how everything is and you can't help but smile. 10/10 would recommend if you're in the area and will definitely continue to be going back. read more

While the pizza is actually pretty good, the customer service is so bad I will absolutely no be going back. They consistently run late on delivering pizza. This Friday night we waited TWO HOURS from when we ordered the pizza to when we finally received our pizza. After 1 hour and 17 minutes passed I started calling only to receive a busy signal. I dialed 14 times over the next 24 minutes until I finally got through. They clearly misplaced our order, because after I finally spoke with someone (who offered no apology or recompense) they said it should be at our house any minute (which didn't happen). Another 20 minutes goes by so I call again to see where my pizza is. They put me on hold for 5 minutes, but apparently they have no hold button. So I can hear all their back ground noise and chatter. I've got them on speaker because it's taking so long and my four year old hears them clearly curse out loud - apparently not realizing they don't have a mute/hold button. At this point, while I'm still on "hold" it shows up at our house piping hot. It clearly was put in the oven after I called the 14th time. I want my money back.
