We found this place earlier this year when we were craving deep-dish pizza. My husband is from Chicago, so he knows GOOD deep dish! We ordered the XL Supreme and were nicely surprised. That pizza box was so heavy, you knew you were getting your moneys worth. It was cooked well, the crust was a good thickness - not too thin, not too thick. It had a buttery taste and just the right bake on it. We gave it a high thumbs up for the sausage content. They didn't use sausage "crumbles", the pizza was packed with chunks of sausage patties. As for the other ingredients . . . onions, mushrooms, bell peppers and olives - it was a nice and even amount packed into every bite. The amount of fresh mozzarella cheese was excellent as well. The tomato sauce is more on the sweeter side, something I prefer but my husband didn't care for it all that much. He still agrees that this place has a very good deep-dish and the price was very fair. Since finding this place we have returned 3 more times to order the XL Supreme Deep Dish pizza. We look forward to trying the other things on the menu when we return. read more

I'm so glad I found this place! Since living in Chicago in the late 90's I've always been on the hunt for a place that could hold a candle to Geno's East (I still have a Geno's magnet on my fridge...now that's devotion) or Giordano's and after decades I've finally found it!!! I ordered the Thom's Favorite from DoorDash and my deep dish still arrived hot, fresh, made to my specifications (extra sauce and well done crust) and absolutely delicious. I have to agree with the other reviewers that the sauce is very sweet, but after a couple of bites I got accustomed to it. The pizza couldn't have been anymore jam packed with high quality toppings and the extra cheese was so gooey I had to cut it with kitchen shears, exactly as it should be!!! The crust was perfectly cooked and wasn't droopy or undercooked whatsoever. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality and quantity you get compared to the other deep dish places I've ordered from. I'll be ordering again VERY SOON! read more

The pizza is a beast, you need to hands to carry it. You have to order this about 35-40 min ahead, so it can cook through in case you didn't know it's stuffed with lots of deliciousness. The sauce is good, slightly sweet. We did half veggie and half Italian sausage,m. read more

I have ate at this place several times over the past two years. Past few times the food quality has gone downhill. Me and my wife decided to try him again last night. We ordered a small pizza and order of wings which came out almost 40 bucks‍.. the wings look completely different than the past. It looks like they're getting frozen wings from the grocery store. The quality of them are pathetic lots of fat.. The problem is me and my wife got food poisoning. We didn't eat anything throughout the morning or day yesterday except this place . We both have been vomiting and diarrhea and it's food poisoning.per (ED). even the pizza was disgusting. We just can't pinpoint if it was the wings or the pizza.. beware. Seems like a lot of small businesses are cutting corners and still overcharging the customer for their products just to end up with this. Ugh read more

Super glad I found this place today, it was the best pizza I've had in a while. I never lived in Chicago, but the deep dish tasted authentic. It looks like the real deal, and my girl loved it too. All I had was a fountain soda with it, that's all I needed. Whenever I have pizza, I just get a nice cold soda with it and call it a day. Delicious and great service. read more

10/10 recommend! The thin crust pizza is crisp, light, and easy to eat. The crust has a good crunch without being dry, and the sauce and cheese are balanced so nothing overpowers the flavor. It's simple, clean, and satisfying. The Chicago-style deep dish is the complete opposite in the best way. The crust is thick and buttery, packed with layers of cheese, sauce, and toppings. It's filling, rich, and feels like a full meal in one slice. As someone whose family lives in Chicago, this place is legit. Both styles are done well, making it a solid choice whether you want something light or something hearty. By far one of the best pizzas I've had in the area. Defintely will be returning :) read more

We've been back three times in two weeks, which is about the best review I can give. We've tried both a thin crust pizza and the stuffed pizza, and both are extraordinary. Service is very pleasant and very quick. There is no inside dining. 100% designedfor you to pick up. The sauce is particularly notable, as it is slightly sweet and absolutely delicious with pepperoni and meatball. It works amazingly well. read more

As a transplant from Chicago, I never expected to find Chicago Deep Dish Pizza in the middle of some suburb outside of Dallas. At last, we are here! I found this little gem while searching for some grub to eat while I waited for my husband. I ordered the personal deep dish pizza. I didn't have high hopes coming here, but the pizza surprised me! It was so delicious and reminded me of home! The woman working here was super friendly! The pizza took about 20 minutes to bake. I'd recommend ordering ahead! The restaurant itself does not have seating! Take out orders only. read more

Good Chicago style pizza. Wish they had a sit down restaurant in a better location but the food was fantastic. Really hit the spot.

Excellent pizza!! Worth every penny! Just like I remember during my travels to Chi-town! read more

This is our first time trying Chicago's Original Pizza. We were impressed. We ordered two pizzas in the thin crust style and they exceeded our expectations. The crust is very thin and crispy. The sauce is very good. They don't scrimp on the ingredients, especially the cheese. Our pizza was ready exactly when they stated it would be ready, and the staff was very friendly. read more

The pizza looked authentic and smelled amazing but the sauce was just a bit too sweet to taste like authentic Chicago deep dish pizza

Chicago's Original Pizza - Pizza was amazing! This is as close to Chicago you will get compared to the other places! Looks and taste like that Chicago style! - Pizza Near Me - Allen, Texas

If you're looking for authentic Chicago-style pizza, this place is a must-try! We ordered the thin crust, and it was absolutely perfect--crispy, flavorful, and topped with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The customer service was also fantastic! The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience enjoyable. I can't wait to come back and try their Italian beef sandwiches--they're next on my list. Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving a true taste of Chicago! My husband is from Chicago and it is impossible to get him to eat pizza anywhere, but he loved this one because he said it reminds him of home! read more

Great Italian beef sandwiches. Makes me feel like I'm back in Chicago. My favorite place to get them!

Based on several recommendations that THIS was the place to go for ChicAgo Style pizza and Italian Beef, we had to give it a go. The hubs being from Illinois, he said this place was legit when they asked if you wanted the Italian beef good and wet. Only regret was that we waited until we brought it home to eat. Hubs said it would be even better to eat it right away. We got the cheese pizza deep dish and it definitely had a lot of crust. Took me a while to get used to the idea of eating the thick crust, being from NY. It wasn't as full of cheese (like soup!) like I've had it at giordano's or geno's east and I would have to say it was a perfect amount. Light sauce as well. The best thing is that it tasted even better the next morning after being toasted up in our countertop toaster oven. That's the litmus test for me! No need to goto Eataly's, when we have chicago pizza done right, right here in Allen. read more

Chicago's Original Pizza - Chicago Style cheese pizza. LEGIT - Pizza Near Me - Allen, Texas

Ordered with GrubHub delivery, so the sad misshape is just a casualty from the delivery ride not from the kitchen! I'm no pizza expert, but I spend every Thanksgiving in Chicago and get your average fare deep dish pizza from the big names and some local favourites. I will be completely honest and say every time they have hit the spot for me; I truly do not have that connoisseur palette when it comes to deep dish pizza. What I DO have are cravings for deep dish pizza every few months, and Chicago's Original Pizza absolutely hit that spot of Chicago nostalgia for me. Got the personal size, and it was more than enough for a meal and breakfast leftovers for one person. read more

I've ordered from here multiple times and it has not disappointed. Definitely a go to, if you like deep dish pizza.

We heard about this place on the radio from a Chicago native. It did not disappoint, we got the deep dish supreme, and it was more than enough for two people. The service was excellent and the pizza was delicious. There is no indoor dining, but they do have a picnic table outside where you can sit and enjoy your pizza. read more

The Italian beef sandwich was out of a bag the pizza puffs are supposed to be deep fried the Chicago hot dog was to thick with no snap Maxwell Polish ok wrong onions I don't recommend it someone that's from Chicago read more

This is the best deep dish I have ever had hands down! It was so good I ate to much and threw up. Then ate again.

I'm from Chicago so I know good pizza. Been in TX 2 years and had given up on there being an decent pizza in this state until I stumbled across this place. The sauce is too salty for my taste but the sausage cheese and Crust are soooo good. read more

For those who are curious: Chicago's Original Pizza is the new incarnation of That Chicago Place (Plano) which was the new incarnation of the long-standing Chicago Pizza Pizzeria (Allen). Taste: Still as good as you remember Vibe: Back to the small take-out and delivery focus of their original location Recommendation: Go. It's worth it. I think they're still working out some kinks. They still have all of their old customer data on file (yay for identifying me and knowing my order preferences). However, I was handed the wrong pizza (ordered supreme, got a cheese instead and didn't realize it until I got home). The pizza was still tasty and I know how long it takes to remake, so I didn't call to complain or make the drive back for a replacement. The lesson for me was double-check before you leave because, like I said, they are working out kinks. It's a mom and pop operation and I wish them all the best ... we'll be back for a supreme deep dish next month! read more

Ordered the deep dish. It tastes like straight crisco instead of butter. It's very dense & thick crust, like a triple pie crust. Pie as in a dessert pie. Not like pizza pie. It makes for taking very lovely pics. We scraped the toppings off to eat with a fork. Sadly was a bit of a waste but at least we tried it!!!! It's Rosatis fault we drove all the way here because they constantly undercook their pizzas. On the good side, their toppings are great here. Editing to add they do use crisco for the dough & cook with olive oil on the pan per the woman answering the phone. :) read more

The pizza is the best in Allen. They don't skip on the cheese and other toppings as other pizza restaurants do. The workers are always friendly. The only seating is outside so you will be taking this pizza home. Don't worry this pizza heats up extremely well. I can't believe I drove by this place for years and didn't stop. read more

This place is awesome. I was in Allen for a conference and wanted some good pizza and stumbled across this place on yelp. Their small pizza was huge and stuffed with toppings. Great service!!! My order wasn't ready when I arrived so they upgraded the sizes of my pizzas and gave me an extra pizza that wasn't picked up! Food was delicious! Both the deep dish and the thin crust which is my new favorite! Just wish they had a location closer to me. read more

Our family orders from here once a week. The beef dip sandwich's and dogs are WAY better than that "other giant chain off 75". If you are looking for authentic beef sandwich's and dogs do not hesitate to give them a try. If you are ordering to-go I would make sure to get the sauce on the side so it doesn't get soggy in route. I always order extra hot and sweet peppers too. Please give them a try if you haven't! read more

Amazing pizza! We go with the thin crust and love it. Italian beef with the hot peppas!

Excellent food and fast service. We always get the Italian beef, wet (of course) with peppers...highly recommend

I can't say enough about this place. The Chicago pizza and Italian beef are spot on. I'm originally from Chicago and have been looking for a place that does it right. I would even say their Italian beef is even better than Portillos and you can get frozen packs to make at home too. Will definitely make this place a regular and I live in Rockwall. It's worth the drive . It's more of a to go place. No seating inside but had a picnic table outside. The service was great as well. read more

Some of the best pizza around. Both the thin and deep pan options are so dang good! One thing unrelated to the quality, we ordered takeout and the time estimate for the order to be ready was way too far in the future. Meaning, the food was ready for pickup at least 15 minutes earlier than the time given to me (via automated email)upon placing the order. Our pizza had clearly been sitting out and ready long before we arrived, so we had to heat it up in the oven a bit once we got home. We live less than 2 miles from the location. Will definitely be back but I will be showing up earlier than the time given to us by the automated email confirmation. read more

I like pizza, but I'm not pizza obsessed. The Chicago Style Supreme here could make me pizza obsessed. I'm really glad it's not close to me, but hope it's close to an ER. Cheesy, meaty, great texture to the vegetables. It checks all of the boxes for a really heavy comfort pizza. It's worth the drive past the quick fire, wood oven, thin crust abominations. I have had plenty of not bad pizza in DFW, but this is something I would look forward to trying again. I'll get a cholesterol prescription, and directions to the closest ER, and I'll be all set.
