We found this place earlier this year when we were craving deep-dish pizza. My husband is from Chicago, so he knows GOOD deep dish! We ordered the XL Supreme and were nicely surprised. That pizza box was so heavy, you knew you were getting your moneys worth. It was cooked well, the crust was a good thickness - not too thin, not too thick. It had a buttery taste and just the right bake on it. We gave it a high thumbs up for the sausage content. They didn't use sausage "crumbles", the pizza was packed with chunks of sausage patties. As for the other ingredients . . . onions, mushrooms, bell peppers and olives - it was a nice and even amount packed into every bite. The amount of fresh mozzarella cheese was excellent as well. The tomato sauce is more on the sweeter side, something I prefer but my husband didn't care for it all that much. He still agrees that this place has a very good deep-dish and the price was very fair. Since finding this place we have returned 3 more times to order the XL Supreme Deep Dish pizza. We look forward to trying the other things on the menu when we return. read more

I'm so glad I found this place! Since living in Chicago in the late 90's I've always been on the hunt for a place that could hold a candle to Geno's East (I still have a Geno's magnet on my fridge...now that's devotion) or Giordano's and after decades I've finally found it!!! I ordered the Thom's Favorite from DoorDash and my deep dish still arrived hot, fresh, made to my specifications (extra sauce and well done crust) and absolutely delicious. I have to agree with the other reviewers that the sauce is very sweet, but after a couple of bites I got accustomed to it. The pizza couldn't have been anymore jam packed with high quality toppings and the extra cheese was so gooey I had to cut it with kitchen shears, exactly as it should be!!! The crust was perfectly cooked and wasn't droopy or undercooked whatsoever. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality and quantity you get compared to the other deep dish places I've ordered from. I'll be ordering again VERY SOON! read more

I have ate at this place several times over the past two years. Past few times the food quality has gone downhill. Me and my wife decided to try him again last night. The quality of them are pathetic lots of fat.. The problem is me and my wife got food poisoning. We didn't eat anything throughout the morning or day yesterday except this place . We've been back three times in two weeks, which is about the best review I can give. We've tried both a thin crust pizza and the stuffed pizza, and both are extraordinary. Service is very pleasant and very quick. There is no inside dining. 100% designedfor you to pick up. As a transplant from Chicago, I never expected to find Chicago Deep Dish Pizza in the middle of some suburb outside of Dallas. At last, we are here! I found this little gem while searching for some grub to eat while I waited for my husband. I ordered the personal deep dish pizza. I didn't have high hopes coming here, but the pizza surprised me! Based on several recommendations that THIS was the place to go for ChicAgo Style pizza and Italian Beef, we had to give it a go. The hubs being from Illinois, he said this place was legit when they asked if you wanted the Italian beef good and wet. Only regret was that we waited until we brought it home to eat. Hubs said it would be even better to eat it right away. We got the cheese pizza deep dish and it definitely had a lot of crust. Took me a while to get used to the idea of eating the thick crust, being from NY. It wasn't as full of cheese (like soup!) like I've had it at giordano's or geno's east and I would have to say it was a perfect amount. Light sauce as well. The best thing is that it tasted even better the next morning after being toasted up in our countertop toaster oven. That's the litmus test for me! Ordered the deep dish. It tastes like straight crisco instead of butter. It's very dense & thick crust, like a triple pie crust. Pie as in a dessert pie. Not like pizza pie. For those who are curious: Chicago's Original Pizza is the new incarnation of That Chicago Place (Plano) which was the new incarnation of the long-standing Chicago Pizza Pizzeria (Allen). Taste: Still as good as you remember Vibe: Back to the small take-out and delivery focus of their original location Recommendation: Go. It's worth it. I think they're still working out some kinks. They still have all of their old customer data on file (yay for identifying me and knowing my order preferences). However, I was handed the wrong pizza (ordered supreme, got a cheese instead and didn't realize it until I got home). The pizza was still tasty and I know how long it takes to remake, so I didn't call to complain or make the drive back for a replacement. The lesson for me was double-check before you leave because, like I said, they are working out kinks. It's a mom and pop operation and I wish them all the best ... we'll be back for a supreme deep dish next month! read more

One thing unrelated to the quality, we ordered takeout and the time estimate for the order to be ready was way too far in the future. Meaning, the food was ready for pickup at least 15 minutes earlier than the time given to me (via automated email)upon placing the order.
