This place was kinda middle of the road for me. I would say the food was pretty good, but my wife was not as big a fan. My arepa was delicious, but pretty hard to eat. We also ordered the half chicken and the ravioli and both, I will admit, we're not very good. They both tasted like something you get from the frozen isle. Just not much flavor or depth. The service was honestly on the bad side. They hardly came to the table and we had to flag them down to get our check. Ambiance is farmhouse style, but very small and cramped. That caused it to feel stuffy and cluttered. The saving grace here was the food. I think it's a bit hit or miss, but overall I would say good. For the chicken, ravioli and and arepa, I payed about $50. read more

Ew, nothing Italian about it. Food tastes terrible and unauthentic. Very confusing when you go inside

5 stars! This place is great. I went in to place a pizza order to go and was promptly greeted by Kevin, the owner who was super friendly and great to talk to. He stated how Wednesdays are Whiskey Wednesday with live music and answered any questions about the menu. There is a very nice ambiance and decor to the restaurant and a neat bar with a great selection of drink choices. I ordered two pizzas to go and they did not disappoint. The crust was top notch and I enjoyed everything about the pizzas. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely be going back. read more

Had been to the restaurant in last few months, first three times great experience, food and value! Friday 10/24 hit rock bottom with us. Both waitresses barely understood English and got order wrong. The death nail for me was a tea drinker eating pasta I had 4 refills and they charged me $14, that was also new. They were always playing Spanish music in an Italian cuisine restaurant. Live and go to Palm Beach Tan next door, but that was my last visit to Roma-TX. Leadership needs to address and fix or this place doesn't make it! read more

Delicious food and super friendly staff! The place was very clean as well. Highly recommend if you are looking for a really great from scratch Italian restaurant! The house salad is also phenomenal! While it is not a traditional Italian house salad, it is something I would go back to order again! Large portions as well! read more

This place is fabulous! We tried the fireballs (super spicy!) and so unique and then we split the 16" Caprese pizza. It was more than enough for two of us. I'm actually bummed we ordered what we did only because I wanted to try more! The pizza dough was so light and fresh it didn't leave you feeling sluggish which we love! Kevin was a gracious and inviting host and Nina was a delightful server! We learned they JUST opened for dine-in and the service didn't disappoint! Our compliments to the chef! Absolutely outstanding!! The Latin Sample was phenomenol and the vibe was so much fun. Can't wait to come back!

Our favorite pizza place in the area. The best pizza in Allen, Plano, and McKinney. Love the crust! The only thing I've had besides the pizza is the hummus (which is great), so can't comment on anything else. The owner is great fun, too. read more

Delicious late-night pizza tavern. The pizzas were so fresh, the tomato sauce was extremely flavorful and had a good amount of tangy-ness, the pesto was creamy and rich, and the crust was absolutely perfect We will definitely we back My partner loved the emphasis the owner has on Whiskeys and Bourbons, so many really good options for a drink. The owner was very very sweet, kind, and it was obvious that this restaurant is his passion and that he loves this place, which made it even better. The decoration and feeling of the restaurant, definitely gave "bobs burgers" in a very good way. There was some odes to Texas, western films playing, but also a few touches of an Italian place Definitely give it a try!! read more

Roma TX Pizza Tavern - BYOP: Pesto & Mozzarella Margarita Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Allen, Texas

Absolutely delicious meal and incredibly friendly owners! There is pride of ownership and it shows. We had the meatballs, calamari and focaccia for appetizers - the meatballs were very flavorful and the red sauce had olives that complimented the dish so well. Calamari was perfectly breaded and crisp with a homemade tartar sauce - calamari can sometimes be overdone, but not here. It was cooked perfectly. Focaccia is light and airy. We had the meat lovers pizza, the prosciutto, the brisket and the goat cheese with arugula and hot honey. First, the pizza dough is made e fresh. It is light, airy and crisp - just like Italy! All the pizzas were delicious - the table favorites were meat lovers and goat cheese. To finish off the meal, we had a tiramisu and limoncello cake. Again, the tiramisu tasted just like my Italian friend makes it. Perfect blend of lady fingers, mascarpone and espresso. Absolutely delicious, and the limoncello cake was perfection! A good amount of lemon without being overpowering. The cake was light and fluffy with just enough frosting to balance all the flavors. Everything is made fresh and on site. RUN, do not walk to this local eatery and support a small business that truly has a passion for the food they serve! read more

Italian restaurant in Allen with many selections of tapas, pizzas, and pastas! We got two 10" pizzas to share and they were both so delicious! We left feeling full and satisfied at the end. Nice environment with cool art decor on the walls. Service was quick and helpful! Would recommend! read more

Stop by on a whim while picking something else up a few doors down and ordered the cup and char pepperoni pizza to go. Ready to go very quickly and handed off to us fresh from the oven. Drove home and dug in. Crust was crispy, a bit chewy and light at the same time. Taste was fresh. Nothing overdone just pure pizza perfection with correct ratio of sauce, toppings and cheese...and I'm very much a pizza snob. The location looks small but there's plenty of room to dine and is very nicely decorated and welcoming. Will be back to try the other items on the menu. read more

This place is so pretty! It's decorated so cozy and inviting. I'm not sure who the guy who greeted , seated us and served us but he was super friendly and very attentive. And the food!!! Oh MY! It's sooooo good. The dough rises? My bad, if that's not correct ... for 48 hours before they use it. The crust was crunchy and perfect. The flavor was phenomenal. My brother got the lasagna and he mentioned there was a twist to it, I'm not an expert but it was finger licking good. I live in San Antonio but I cannot wait to go back and eat here again. read more

Went in tonight and the girl didn't speak a word of English! Ice should make a visit here!

Great and unique crust! Not sweet and spongy. Thin and crispy base crust. The Crust rim on the 10 inch individual is thicker than the full size. We got the Margherita with anchovies. Takes me back to Rome. I heard the chef, Fernando went to Italy to train and make the dough. Other menu items were good too. The Fireballs or spicy meatballs were tasty and only medium spicy. For some semblance of healthiness we ordered their Garden Salad which was fresh and full of toppings. Again the big win is the pizza dough. Snappy and not rubbery or sugary. Would probably make a great loaf of bread too. read more

Popped in just trying to fu d a quick spot to eat & found a little gem. Food was great. We ordered a couple pastas just something quick ... it took quite a while to make it to the table but it was the real deal. Fabulous lasagna and a great ravioli. We took a tiramisu to go and that was really good as well. It's a bit out of our way but I would gladly eat there again if we are close by. Recommend! read more

Fantastic food. You can tell everything is fresh and home made. To start out with our waiter brought fresh warm bread and olive oil with Parmesan (so good). I had the tortellini (with ham in Alfredo sauce. He had the carbonara pizza. Both were 11/10 we will definitely be back. Would recommend going in the food was so good fresh. read more

Where has this been all my life! Popped in for date night and Whiskey Wednesday. They had live music too! Pizza was what we tried, and it was amazing! The crust is thin, crispy, and chewy at the same time. It was not your typical crust, and it wasn't heavy at all! The toppings were fresh, abundant, but not over the top, not super cheesy...it really was the perfect balance. We left with some pizza we didn't finish, but we also didn't feel super stuffed. The boubon/whiskey selection was excellent, and even found a few we hadn't tried before. Service from everyone was great, so personal, and genuinely felt like a guest. We got pizza last week on Fathers Day, and we got it to go. You can tell it's not a chain, the dough is fresh and appears to be cooked in one of those brick ovens that get really hot. The pizza was delicious, and the only problem I had was it seemed like it needed to be cooked a bit longer. But there were some black areas on the pizzas, so maybe they needed to be rotated in the oven somehow? The dough was kind of tough, which was a real bummer because it tasted so very good. When I heated a piece up later in the air fryer, it actually tasted better and wasn't so tough, which is why I think they may have just needed another minute in the oven. All that said, we will be back to try again, because it did taste good, and I love good pizza places with thin crust! read more

So confused by these good reviews, this food in front of me is inedible. The ingredients taste canned. Spaghetti is overcooked, the meatballs are mush and falling apart, and for some reason there are whole green AND black olives in here? The Spicy Diavola pizza supposedly has hot capicola and spicy marinara, but I am 99% sure this is Canadian bacon with hot sauce splashed on top. The focaccia bread? Somehow hard as a rock AND raw at the same time, with absolutely no seasoning or flavoring whatsoever. It's not even focaccia. The worst offender here is the mozzarella cheese, if you can even call it that. The same cheese that's on the pizza is in the caprese salad, and I've never in my life had mozzarella of this texture or flavor. It legitimately seems like cotija or something, hard and crumbly, not melty or creamy. One positive is that the owner was understanding when we called and let him know we were disappointed. read more

This is a wonderful family-owned restaurant. Intimate setting, fantastic food. Always welcoming, friendly owner and staff.

I had high hopes because looks good since it got re-modeled and re-name. The food is good, so credit where is due. Now the service is a different story. The waitress dropped 1/2 hot pizza on my daughter's back and hair, and all that was said was" will get you more pizza. Then a picture frame fell on my other daughter and hit her. We were offered free desert for a heavy picture frame hitting my kid on the shoulder and hot pizza on the back and hair of my other child. So a T-shirt on the trash as it got stained with tomato, and spent 15 minutes taking the now cold sticky cheese of my kids hair. I don't give them one o zero stars because the food was good. Also we never got refills of water, so during halfmy meal i was dry as a desert. Never will i go back. read more

It's not good. Focaccia is just crispy pizza crust. Not close to anything focaccia, just really crisp crust. Pizza itself is soggy. Even asking for it crisp it was sopping wet. It was a diavola but really it was just Canadian bacon with hot sauce on it. I'm not sure what this cheese is but it's not great. Spaghetti and meatballs were overcooked and way too sweet. read more

First time trying this pizza place it was amazing I would most definitely put this in my top three pizza list right now it's tied for first place with Zoli's will definitely be coming back to this place for a second go around. We got the 10 inch pizza and a lasagna. It was plenty for two people would have liked a little more sausage on my pizza, but that's easily remedied by ordering extra the crust was perfectly cooked had a nice crunch to the rim. You definitely will not be disappointed with this place and a big bonus. It's open till 2 AM and it's right across the parking lot from Cinemark. read more

This is quickly becoming one of our new favorite pizza places. The crust is a perfect balance of crispy and flavorful. The toppings are fresh, aromatic and leave your taste buds wanting more. It wasn't great. We had high hopes though. The sauce on our pasta and our pizza had a strong vinegar flavor. Possibly an off day.

Really good pizza and so close to home! We got the pork and beef meatball appetizer with jalapeños and yummy bread. Fab! The pizza with prosciutto and arugula was delicious. The pesto pizza was delicious as well. Lots of basil, garlic and parmesan cheese. My favorite pizza was the Margarita, perfect in it's simplicity. Great crust, cheese, tomato sauce and basil. Minimal and PERFECT. We walked in minutes before closing, but we're still treated very well and weren't rushed in any way. Great service! The Ambiance was casual, great for families or date night. read more

We really do love the food here. The pizza is absolutely delicious. But it's way overpriced. We had gotten to the point where we were just ordering a cheese pizza and adding our own toppings but how ridiculous is that. Last time we ordered a large pizza with half just cheese (not extra) and the other half with also pepperoni and bacon. It cost - no joke - $39. When I asked about it the guy said he didn't have a button to only charge half the toppings. I said so instead of finding a way to fix it, you're just going to overcharge me and he legit said "yea". Honestly, these restaurants seem to be taking a lot of liberties these days with little concern for the customers. We haven't been back here in a couple of months now. read more
