Pizza is pretty good the only problem I noticed was no gloves where worn by some of the workers preparing the food.

Seriously proper NY style pizza slice in a food court! I had my doubts but we made a special trip here tonight based on all the positive yelp reviews. We were not let down. This place is fantastic! My second favorite slice in dfw after my college favorite Nizza Pizza in Arlington. This place is serving some serious pizza by the slice. Our favorite was the pepperoni by a long shot. It's just the right amount of pepperoni, cheese, sauce, and grease. Yep, pretty sure grease is a pizza ingredient. Also had the ham and pineapple which was still great. Kids ate the supreme and they enjoyed that too. Looks like they have lots of other Italian dishes, but I'm not sure I could ever pass on the pizza. Shout out to the employees working tonight. I am actually here. We just finished food and it was AMAZING. I loved every bite I ate. The cheese bread was so good but I felt like it needed more Parmesan which they already had on the side! Prices are so decent and when I asked him if the sausage was beef or pork he said they don't have pork products! Even the ham it's turkey ham!! That made my year!!! We tried 3 different pizzas and I really wanted to eat more but we're invited to dinner. Second time here and we will definitely keep coming back! Tip: their pizza is better to be eaten here and not to order take out. It somehow loses the crispy crust at home but it's okay I'll keep coming to dine in! read more

New York style pizza. Very tasty, thin crust and quality ingredients. There is a big selection to choose from and your slice is served fresh from the oven hot and crispy. We had the pepperoni pizza and a slice of cheese bread. Both were outstanding. Their marinara sauce is also very good so ask for extra with the cheese bread. Wanted to try this place based on the 4.5 star rating, it was a tremendous let down. Flavorless and overall bland food. The Marina sauce is from some can that they heat up and water down. The hamburger calzone tasted like a school lunch. Ordered Garlic bread and it ended up being bland tasteless bread seasoned with only sprinkles of Garlic Salt (No actual garlic or garlic butter). Told the employees about the overall lack of flavor and they simply informed us we need to ask for more garlic salt next time. Ordered Chocolate chip cookies as we figured there's no way the cookies could be bad too. The cookies tasted like some Great-Value premade mix and were very stale and felt as if they've been left out for a week. Very clueless staff, it's only a matter of time before they close down due to lack of business at this rate. All the stuff in their menu (except maybe the pizza) has been pre-made and left out in the open (uncovered), when someone orders something, they simply pop it into the oven behind them. There's absolutely no quality standard here, but I guess that's what I should of expected with a name like Italia Express. The reviews below praising them for their quality doesn't add up to me. I will note that I didn't try the pizza here so maybe that's their saving grace, but who knows. I won't be coming back. read more

Came here for a quick bite while shopping. There was a line but it moves fast. Love that they heat the pizza so it's like fresh out of the oven. Prices are decent too. I haven't reviewed this place yet? My best Italian eatery period. My absolute favorite place for pizza (thin crust w/ perfect chewy texture inside), spaghetti w/ meatball (very addictive marinara sauce and a side of garlic bread, which is again perfect texture and taste), and chicken Alfredo fettuccini (they probably added some drug in it to make people addicted to it...) Like other reviewer said, I, too come up here just to get their food. I don't like their fountain drinks for tap water taste, but that shouldn't let you hesitate. If I have an option for 10stars, they will get it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! read more

Had a late dinner here with my family and the food was outstanding! This culinary oasis is camouflaged in the food court for the Allen Outlet Mall. We chose a variety of meals and all were excellent. The chicken fetucini was a generous portion, the pizza slices are large, but more importantly tasty. Calzones and strombolis contain ample ingredients and even the spaghetti is cooked fresh on order. All are served piping hot and the the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their offerings. The food is on par with any fine Italian restaurant but the price is in the fast-food range. What are you waiting for? Get to Italia Express and eat like a king for next to nothing! read more

I have been eating here for years. Drive from Dallas and often order a whole pizza. I always get the spinach mushroom pizza but know I should try other things. Their calzones are packed with delicious cheese and meat! Their prices are reasonable, and the only wait is just for them to warm back up your order in the oven for a couple minutes. In all, it is very good. My only criticism is the lack of posted prices for drinks. Parking Tip: Avoid the terrible traffic and parking lot by parking in back (north of the mall) and walk in and out through a back entrance. Coming from north (McKinney), turn right at the very earliest into the back of the mall. Coming from the south or from Stacy road, pass up all the south entrances, turn right and go beyond the obvious west entrance to turn in at the back. read more

Are you kidding me?! This is the BEST PIZZA IN TEXAS! I'm completely serious when I say my family and I go to the Allen outlet mall JUST so we can eat the Italia Express pizza! This might be the best kept secret in north Texas, I kid you not. The family who own this establishment are some of the nicest, most friendly people we've ever met. Customer service is outstanding! If there's a better food court pizzeria, I've yet to hear about it - actually, there isn't a better pizzeria in this region, period. I work near here, and have been eating here and recommending this place to customers for years! Nine years to be exact. I never hesitate to point visitors to Italia Express because I know they'll have good service and great food. It is run by quite possibly the most pleasant, kind-hearted family you could ever meet. Everyone that works there is nice, friendly, and truly cares about the business and the customers. I have my favorites, like the veggie pizza, chicken Stromboli, and ham/cheese calzone, but in cooler weather I can't wait to order lasagna or manicotti. They're essential comfort food dishes. The pasta is cooked well, and the marinara sauce is so flavorful I want it on everything. All of their portions are generous, everything is freshly prepared, and the pizza is warmed in the deck oven before served, making the perfectly thin crust crispy and the toppings piping hot. If you want lighter fare, they have veggie or chef salad, and cold cut subs as well, and you can ask for dressings on the side. All made to order with fresh ingredients of course. They have almost everything you could ask for in the way of drinks including tea, fountain drinks, juices, milk, and even Perrier, and there are snack bags of chips and cookies. It's one stop shop for a hungry family while shopping at the mall or grabbing dinner on the way home. I live in Highland Park and come to the outlets in Allen to supposedly shop but secretly make the trip so far north for the pizza at Italia Epress. Not the savings of outlet shopping. Franky id rather pay the extra price tag on goods in my neighborhood, but we dont have pizza near that good in our neck of the woods and its worth the drive is pizza is what you want. Now I dont eat pizza often as I have huge gluten issues, but the pizza at italia express is easliy the best pizza I have ever put in my mouth and is easliy worth the swollen face and achey joints and wheat hangover I will suffer the next day. So if I am going to pay the stiff price of unwellness the next day, it had better be worth it and the pizza at the simple little food court express counter is!!! . Nothing fancy but just the right thickness, chewy and crispy at the same time. Perfect amount of high quality,not greasy cheese and great pizza sauce with just the right amount of sweetness and tang. Slices are huge and only 3 buck and a whole 18 inch pizza is a steal at only 15 bucks. I am a big foodie and food snob and very discerning and this pizza takes the cake. I told the owner he needs to open a place closer to downtown but it sounds like he has only one other location and it is located in San Francisco. Run by his son. He would do gangbusters in the park Cities, but I suppose in the meantime I will make the drive north when I want to splurge and kill my wheat belly diet.
