First time at cheba hut & the moment we walked in we were welcomed & seated at the bar. The bartender took our orders and the subs came out quickly. Ordered the 4in french dip & spicy club. The menu had so many sub combos and is vegetarian friendly as well! The garlic herb bread was perfectly toasted with this delicious sauce and fresh veggies. I give mine a 5/5! I tried the french dip and it was a perfect combo of savory, umami and rich flavors with the au jus (dipping broth). I would definitely say this is one of the better subs I've had. The interior had lots of seating and fun halloween decor. Looks like they have a wide variety of brews as well. Parking was easy to find directly in their lot. read more

If you go there, you definitely want the garlic herb bread - so delicious! Everything they put into your sandwich is fresh, and they have top quality meats. You can definitely taste the difference in their sandwiches compared to other places. And the combinations they use to create their sandwiches are unique. I normally get a vegetarian sandwich called the Griefo. Cream cheese is the base for this one - enough said for me. I LOVE cream cheese! And then all the other goodness they layer on top of the cream cheese makes this one a stand out for me. The restaurant isn't big, but it can easily seat 50 people. It also has a bar and just a fun atmosphere. If you like stickers, you'll love this place. I have never seen so many stickers in one place. It's fun, many are retro looking. read more

We decided to try this neighborhood sub spot last weekend. It did not disappoint! We ordered the White Widow (Chicken, bacon & ranch) and the KGB (Roast beef & horseradish) on their garlic herb bread. Both were fantastic! My husband and I often go halfsies on subs and I'm so glad we did. The subs were large enough to split in half and packed with meat, cheese, sauce, veggies and best of all delicious pickles. Third time ordering but second time sitting at the bar. Everyone is personable and willing to give recommendations if you ask. Food wise, you can't go wrong with the Jamaican Red. BF added the Honey Sriracha on the side, added Jalapeño hummus on 1/2 and had it on garlic bread. It was so good my BF ate the whole thing. It might be worth your while to study the menu online before you come in so you don't make a decision you regret from peer pressure! Our service was fantastic. Being first-timers, we needed some guidance. Never once did we feel like we were bothering her with all of our questions. Once you choose your sub, you choose your size, a 4 inch Nug, an 8 inch Pinner, or a 12 inch Blunt. I ordered the G-13, Pinner size, on their house Garlic Bread. Wowza!!! Absolutely delicious!!! I can't believe I'm writing this. I had such high hopes for this Cheba Hut since I loved the one in Fort Worth, but after visiting this Dallas location, I'm absolutely appalled and disgusted. First off, I placed an online order and showed up 15 minutes later to find the place DEAD--literally only one other person waiting. And yet, while I'm standing at THEIR DESIGNATED PICK UP AREA, one of the employees rudely told me to MOVE because I was "blocking the way." To make matters worse, most of the employees were in pajamas and just seemed completely UNINTERESTED in doing their jobs--except for Kat, the bartender, who was actually nice. We were starving, so we decided to eat there instead of waiting to get home. But after what felt like an ETERNITY (when the place was practically empty), I finally dug into my meal. And THEN it happened--more than halfway through, I bit down on something HARD. At first, I was sure my tooth chipped, but NO--after spitting the food out and digging around in my mouth, I found a freaking STAPLE. I couldn't believe it!!! I was DISGUSTED and genuinely concerned about what I almost swallowed. After waiting what's was probably about 10 mins for someone to come address it, Jasmine, the manger on duty, apologized and offered a refund and some free treats, plus a "free meal" next time I come in. But best believe I'm NEVER coming back here. How in the world are you using a STAPLER near open food? That's so dangerous. This doesn't seem like the first time based on the response I got. In addition, I've yet to see a pending reversal on my account. I just sat on hold for 20 mins waiting to follow up with Jasmine but no one returned to the phone. Sigh. My daughter and I stopped down the street at The Spin Coffee and Vinyl earlier and stopped at Cheba Hut for a quick bite to eat. I had heard of it before but had yet to try. I had a rare craving for an italian sub sandwich and I've been wanting to try Cheba for some time so i came here to no one in line so I had time to get a further look at the menu even though I knew what I was getting. I got the medium Italian on garlic herb bread with everything on the sandwich with a rice krispie treat. Cheba is vibrantly decorated on the inside following it's theme and I was surprised to see a bar in the back. I could smell my sandwich through the bag on my way home so I was to excited to dig in. The sandwich definitely passed the look test, the sandwich was stuffed and looked delicious. Unfortunately and surprisingly, I didn't care for the sandwich. The ham was cut thicker than I liked and I didn't really care for the taste of the ham or salami. I was expecting alot more flavor from the garlic herb bread, but it was pretty mild in flavor but I still liked the texture and taste of the bread. The meat to cheese ratio was off, I couldn't taste any cheese or the sauce that was supposed to be on the sandwich so the sandwich was pretty dry. The rice Krispy was the worst I've ever had, I can't believe it was so bad; it was extremely dry and was severely lacking in any marshmallow flavor. With all of the critiques, I would still come back. The menu is decent sized, and the sandwich quality was good, so I'd go back and just try something else, and I'd still recommend Cheba. read more

OMG! Easiest 5 star in a long time! We got the bomb (meatball sub) and the kali something (the spicy club). I usually always ask for no onions but I forgot to say no onions and I'm so glad. I decided to try it first before picking them off and I'm so glad because it fit so perfectly. Mine was nice and fresh and my boyfriend's meatball sub was the opposite.
