Really solid bbq! We stopped in before Kaboomtown just before the show started. The place is casual and slightly confusing when you walk in but there's a lit sign that says 'Line Starts Here' - you go in that door to order! Husband said the staff were really helpful ordering and made sure he had what he needed! I didn't get pictures of the meats (rushing) but they were truly solid, the really good flavor was on only top but the meats were smoky and tender throughout. Sides were good, desserts were absolutely delicious. The Texas Twinkies were really good too! We had two - one that seemed hot but another that nearly burned your face off so proceed with caution and enjoy! It's definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

Came because it was pet friendly and we were traveling with our dog and it was great! They have a bowl out for your doggies and there was plenty of space outside too. Food was also great! The seasoning of the chicken wings was some of the best I've had!

Was with a group of about 30 for happy hour. GREAT food, Great service, Great atmosphere! I had the brisket nachos. Soooo good

I found myself driving to Addison, TX., to meet a friend for dinner. We decided to meet at Lane's Oak'D BBQ, and this was the first time for us both. When I arrived there, I saw my friend already had a table for us as it was sit your self type bbq restaurant. The atmosphere is mostly quiet some music but not too loud and we could hold a nice conversation in normal indoor speaking voice. What I noticed that it has indoor/outdoor seating area. Both sitting areas are well organized, neat in appearance and very clean it boasts a bar and plenty of sitting space. The staff at this establishment were all friendly ready and egear to help. Mr. Alexis, was the server and he handle the cutting knife like a surgeon and with percise cuts. He was very polite and very friendly and made great suggestions for plates to order. Our cashier was Ms. Penny, who was very friendly polite and very welcoming and was ready to serve. I ordered one (2) meat plate wagyu brisket, for $23.99 with potato salad, and coleslaw, for $4.00, regular house fries, for $5.50 1 each can of dr. pepper/sprite @ $2.50 each. The house fries were hot, well seasoned, not crispy but very tasty. The coleslaw was very delicious, crunchy and very tasty, the potato salad was none like I ever had before and very delicious. The wagyu brisket was so tender, juicy, but to me it lacked a little salt. But over all I was highly impressed with Oak'D BBQ, the service was awesome, the food was delicious and I was highly satisfied. If I am ever in this neck of the woods I will come again.

Wagyu brisket sandwich with mac & cheese and potato salad.

I visited here recently in a trip to Dallas. It was a Thursday night so it wasn't too busy. The restaurant is sort of like a cafeteria with a large menu at the front of the line and you walk along the counter picking which foods you want. I ordered the Wagyu brisket sandwich with mac& cheese and potato salad side dishes. The meat was literally melting in my mouth and it was cooked to perfection. The mac & cheese was also good, however, since it was sitting out it was not very hot. It was more on the lukewarm side. The potato salad was your standard potato salad but it was not bland at all. Coming from NYC, the price did not seem bad but from my friend, who is a local, said it was expensive for the area. Overall, I would recommend this place for an excellent Texan BBQ meal.

3 meat plate of brisket, ribs and sausage

Ambiance was the best thing about this place and it was cool. But the food was some of the worst bbq I've had in a while. Ordered a 3 meat plate that consisted of moist brisket, jalapeño and cheese sausage and ribs. Brisket was moist but had no flavor and very little color past the bark. Ribs were super tough and again no rub or not much of one at least. Ribs also did not have much meat on the bone so kind of felt cheated there. Sausage was ok, a little above average and the best thing on my plate. Beans were ok, having carrots in them was hard to get past but tasted fine. Mac and cheese was really good. All in all I won't be back. Lunch was $42 with tip and a drink for the 3 meat plate and none of it would I order again. I love bbq, it's my favorite food so it hurts me to leave this kind of review for a bbq joint.

I had been craving a really good burger in a new spot and we found ourselves in North Dallas…read more Liberty Burger popped up and reviews were promising. Next to the Tollway on Forest, there's an immense parking lot next to the restaurant, so we parked with ease. Their menu is digital which is fascinating, but I still had a heckuva time choosing. The beef is grass fed. There is Bison, Lamb, Impossible Patties and signature burgers like the Liberty Burger, The Great Smash (with Vidalia onions), South of the Burger, The Libertine (turkey), the Napa, Wild West and many more. They also have Burger Bowls and sandwiches and salads. There's Skinny Fries ($2.75) and Onion Rings ($7.50) and Sweet Potato Fries ($3.25). I ordered the Liberty Burger ($9) with LTOP and xtra Gorgonzola ($1.50) and xtra Bacon ($1.50) with giant beautiful Onion Rings from an engaged and smiling server. My husband ordered a wild burger called the Chillerno ($9) topped with Queso Blanco, a Fire-Roasted Poblano Pepper, and Chipotle BBQ sauce on a toasted brioche bun. He also ordered the Skinny Fries - a cupful of super thin cut fries. I apologize for the photos. We were starving and my husband chose to tear into his burger when I got up to get more napkins, but I tried! Everything was very good. The onion rings were fabulous! The batter was terrific. My burger was cooked more than medium. Honestly, it's not often that I get one that's pink unless it's high end. But it was seasoned well and dressed with enthusiasm. My husband's poblano pepper was huge, but he loves peppers and so, loved his burger. We also shared a strawberry shake with whipped cream and a cherry. ($5.50) Liberty is a comfy place with a long banquette and then mostly tables and chairs. We had a good time there. I guess they have a wastage reason for not having napkins at the table for some of the messiest food on the planet, but we survived. We would love to go back.

No awkward waits. Just smooth, professional service. The ambiance was on point too -- relaxed, comfortable, somewhere you can actually sit and enjoy your meal. Now to the star of the show: the KICKIN' CHICKEN FRIED BACON BURGER. Fresh double beef patties, Jake's hickory sauce, melted cheese, crisp lettuce, red onion, chipotle mayo -- and topped with two thick, deep-fried slices of chicken fried bacon. Let me pause right there. That bacon? Crispy, thick, and absolutely amazing. It complemented that burger perfectly. The texture alone was next level. Everything blended well. The poppy seed bun was different, but it worked. It held everything together without falling apart -- and that matters with a stacked burger like this. Now here's my honest transparency: the patty was a little overcooked for my liking. Not dry, but just a touch longer on the fire than I would have preferred. Dial that back slightly and this burger would be a full-on knockout. I also had the onion rings -- crispy, not greasy, solid choice. And let's not ignore the SPICY MANGORITA. Mi Campo Blanco, mango, jalapeño, lime, Tajín -- and yes, I had two. Smooth with a little kick, that sweet heat balance was working. If you like a margarita that flirts with spice but doesn't overpower you, this is it. Would I go back? Absolutely. Next time I'm trying the chicken fried steak. I'm a fan, and now I need to see what Jake's does with it. I know there are other locations along the way back to Austin -- I think I spotted one in Waco -- so that may be my next stop. Great service. Great vibe. Strong food with just a small tweak needed on cook time. I'll be back.

Chili cheese fries were really good. I was so hungry I didn't think about it being hot ended up burning my lips, but still kept eating because it tasted that good. Hotdog & Onion rings. Onion rings were a surprise. Took me straight back to the Santa Monica Pier. Something about them just hit memoryville. The hotdog had that old school flavor. Reminded me of when my mom would cut them up, throw some toothpicks on a plate, and add a big glob of ketchup. I'd take it outside and share with the neighborhood kids. The employee was very apathetic and left service to be desired. When my food was done and bagged and right in front of me, instead of giving it to me he left. I thought he was going to get ketchup or something but instead he went to stack chairs and then came back to hand me the bag. It boggles to me this day why he'd do that. I was the only car in line at the drive through. I was hoping the food would make up for it but the cheeseburger was way too sour with the mustard and pickles together. The Jack's fries had promising seasoning but were way too salty. Basically inedible. I had a stomachache later that night either from the sourness of the burger, the saltiness of the fries, or both. Would not recommend.

Everything felt clean--the tables were well taken care of and the bathrooms were spotless. As for food, we ordered the Blue Goat, the H.L. Hunt, the Royale with Cheese, and the cheese fries (No Surprise). I had the Blue Goat (no onions). It was good overall, though I wish the blue cheese flavor was a bit stronger. My husband got the H.L. Hunt and really enjoyed the candied bacon. Our son had the Royale with Cheese and it filled him up so much that he didn't even touch fries--and he loves fries, so that says a lot. Speaking of fries, the order was HUGE--easily enough for 5-6 people. If we come back, I'd definitely dig into those first while the cheese is still warm and gooey. By the time we got to them after our burgers, everything had kind of stuck together. Overall, a fun, casual spot with solid burgers and massive portions--just plan for a slower-paced experience.
