Prime Brisket, Turkey Breast, Bacon-Wrapped, Brisket Stuffed Jalapeno, Mac & Cheese, and Cheddar Chive Mashed Potatoes

We are in Dallas for the weekend and wanted to try a new bbq spot. I'm so glad we did! The staff is warm and inviting. Shout out to Jalen for his amazing customer service skills. I got a sense that everyone handle their food has a lot of pride in their jobs! The restaurant is large with ample seating. I was surprised seeing reviews saying their meat was dry because nothing was dry. The meats were moist and smoky. The bacon wrapped jalapeño was the star of the show. It's so big, it could be a meal in itself. The sides were divine. The burger was huge! This is definitely a gem to hit up whenever you come to the Dallas area!

Back to Oak'd for lunch. Had to try their burger. We opted for the build your own option and split an order of fries. You have to stand in the line to get to the meat area where they take an order for burgers for you. You pay for the burger and they give you a buzzer to come back and pick it up when it's ready. We decided to sit at the bar and have a beer while we waited for our burgers. they have several beers on draft, including local brews. Really wasn't much of a wait; maybe 10 minutes and our buzzers lit up. The bartender, who was also the owner, offered to get our burgers for us when the buzzers went off. He was a great guy and really wanted to make sure everything went well, which it did. The burger and fries were delicious. One of the better cheeseburgers I have had anywhere. Hand cut fries were delicious as well. I highly recommend both.

I was driving by this place and thought I would give it a chance. I'm a huge fan of St. Louis style barbecue so I decided to give a Texas place a chance. I immediate reaction is it's so very loud in here. I couldn't even hear the person sitting next to me. The additional problem is they have music playing, which also contributes to the problem. I found my brisket to be extremely dry and hard to chew. Definitely not done the way I'm used to it back in the Midwest. Plus the steak fries were undercooked. The seasoning seemed really good, but it was wasted on undercooked potatoes.

3 Meat plate was huge. The wings were great. Jalapeño cheddar sausage was good. Brisket was tough and dry - A metal tray displays a barbecue meal with sliced brisket, grilled chicken, and sliced sausage. It includes macaroni and cheese, a cucumber and tomato salad, pickles, and small containers of barbecue sauce and other condiments. The tray is placed on a dark, textured surface.

When in Texas, you gotta go for brisket, right? Unfortunately, the brisket was Dry AF and not good at all. It didn't pull apart and ate like a steak. Pics aren't always a good judge as it looked amazing. Texas is the lone star state and this brisket gets 1 lone star! On the flip side, the chicken wings were out of this world outstanding. The outsides were crispy and the insides were juicy. The best thing was the meat itself was white like a chicken breast! It's crazy but they were so freaking good. They came with buffalo sauce for dipping but I didn't need it. 5 star wings and 10 stars to that chicken farm! Meat 3 (that's it as it's not the Dallas 500) was the Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage. This one held its own against others I've had and I liked how they sliced it thin. It was better dipped in the BBQ sauce, vs. on it's own though, so it could have been juicier. The sides were good and they didn't skimp like some places. For soda pops, they gave you a can instead of having a fountain, so no refills. They did have iced tea though so you could slurp down all you want. I'd go back for the wings for sure! Some of the best I've ever had. But bad brisket in Texas is a crime!

We came for the happy hour and had a great time! Our bartender was super kind and transparent when the food took awhile but she was adamant about making sure we got out food warm and as soon as possible. We got the pork spring roll and pork tacos. Their happy hour is great - you can get a domestic beer + food for only $12 daily from 4-7pm! Not many happy hours go until 7, we will definitely be back.

I'm from Texas so I love finding barbecue spots while traveling. This one didn't disappoint. The sausage was good. The brisket was great. The cooks were very informative and helpful and the prices are decent. And I love the atmosphere.

So, we were out car shopping and smelled the divine goodness of Oak'd floating through the air. Of course we drove over to get a taste of it, and we were not disappointed one bit! My husband ordered the two meat plate with brisket and chopped pork. I ordered burnt ends while my kiddos ordered the brisket quesadillas. And you KNOW we had to order a slice of s'more pie, texas chocolate cookie and a chocolate chip cookie. Absolutely. Heavenly. Every staff member we came into contact with was friendly and helpful. My family and I had a great lunch together. Thanks team!

Super aesthetic barn/farm/rodeo bar aesthetic that you would expect at Texas barbecue. The beef ribs are Wagyu so that means it's likely more fatty than your typical beef rib. It makes it more fattier so if you're not into super fatty meat, then I would try to get their prime instead. The ribs is very fall off the bone and the brisket is very tender as well. People love to get the sandwiches and they get packed very quickly. The brussels sprouts were really good, but they were a bit too oily for my liking to the point where the a tiny bit mushy. The mac & cheese was standard. The line got really long when it was dinner time.

Burnt Ends and Chicken - The image shows a metal tray with various barbecue items and sides. There are pieces of smoked meat, including chicken and beef, along with pickled yellow slices, shredded coleslaw with cabbage and carrots, and a portion of cooked collard greens. The tray is placed on a wooden table, indicating a casual dining setting.

This was my first time trying barbecue, so I don't have much to compare it to, but I really enjoyed the food here. The meat was well seasoned, juicy and had the perfect char. We ordered turkey, chicken, burnt ends, and ribs. My favorites were the burnt ends and chicken, they were absolutely delicious, and the sauces really elevated the flavors. The sides were also great. I tried the mac and cheese, collard greens, and coleslaw. Each one paired well with the meats. The pickles were a unique sweet and sour mix, something I hadn't tasted before. We need to order the food inside ( a door next to the menu wall), pick your food and then take a table to enjoy it. They have ice water, lemonade, to go boxes with covers and utensils outside. Overall, a perfect spot to enjoy the evenings with great food.

Late dinner after an evening flight. Place was still busy at 9PM (an hour before closing)! They have lots of tables, including outdoor seating and bar seating. Every table had paper towels, salt, pepper and tabasco. They also had takeout containers with the silverware and drinks. The service was very friendly even at the late hour, especially the guy serving the meats. We got a 2 Meats Platter with Duroc Pork Butt & Wagyu Brisket, and Red Skin Potato Salad & Balsamic Roasted Brussel Sprouts, 6 Smoked Wings and Burnt Ends (half Carolina Style Pork Belly, half Texas Prime Brisket). The Porks and Beefs were a bit on the dry side, which I attributed to it being the end of the day and they've probably been sitting in the hot box for a while. The Porks were less dry, so stick to that if you're going towards the end of the day. The 2 BBQ sauces helped a bit. The Red Skin Potato Salad was delicious! Creamy with chunks of potato and veggies made for a great texture! The Balsamic Roasted Brussel Sprouts was great textually as well. Light in Balsamic flavor. Also, if you like spicy, the spicy pickles are a must! The Smoked Wings were pretty good too. They had forgotten our wings, so they came out with a couple extra. Nice crisp exterior with tender meat. Well seasoned too, but not much smoke-y flavor. I enjoyed dipping them in the White Sauce! This was definitely the best meat. Also got a fountain drink, which I opted to do a mix of Iced Tea and Sweet Tea, and threw in a lemon wedge. Overall a decent spot, but there are better spots for the pork and beef options in the area. I would come back for the wings and sides though.

Wagyu brisket, jalapeño cheddar, sausage, pulled pork, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese.

We only come to Dallas once a year for an automotive event, and Oak'd is a MUST for us. The Wagyu brisket? The jalapeño cheddar sausage? The mac & cheese? Don't ask questions. Get it. Commit to it. You'll thank me later. Amazing staff(shout out to the manager James), killer prices, in the best barbecue we've ever had. Terry Blacks can take a big step back! You're welcome for your new food addiction with a perfect shady patio to enjoy the day.

Oak BBQ in Addison has really good smoked meats. The brisket is super tender , and the side like mac and cheese tastes great. The portions were a little small, so I usually get a big extra. It's a chill spot with friendly staff, definitely worth checking out if you're craving BBQ .

So good! And SO much food! We ordered a platter of 3 meats (burnt ends, chicken, and ribs), 2 sides of brussel sprouts, and 1 side of mac n cheese. Everything was so tasty and filling, we didn't really even need bbq sauce. They also have all homemade desserts so we had to get their chocolate chip cookies...so wonderful. If you want a not so little treat, this is the place to go.

After getting inside I could tell why. The BBQ smell hits you as you open the door and it smelled sooooo good. They had a giant menu written onto the wall. Some of the meats were sold out. We debated for a bit and then decided to do a group order. Our Group of 7 people ordered the Cattleleack Platter and sides of burnt end beans, potato salad, cole slaw, and Mac and cheese. Oh and don't forget to ask for cornbread too. Inside tey had large tables and benches to sit at and we secured our spot. The food was delicous. The Beef Rib was huge and melted in my mouth. The brisket was amazing and seasoned well. Everything tasted great. Everyone ate til they were full and we still had leftovers. I ate them later at night and they were still good. This place is pricey, definitely worth a visit.

The broccoli salad pairs really well with the salty meat. It adds a sweet, fresh contrast that helps balance out the richness of the BBQ. The Mexican street corn is good, but it leans salty, which made it less of a favorite for me since the rest of the meats were already salty. I honestly wish they had a sweeter option, like creamed corn. The cornbread isn't bad, but I would've liked it to be a bit sweeter to better complement the meat. The crack cake is really good. My friend loved it so much that she bought four containers for herself in one visit. Overall, I'd rate the food a 4/5, but because the brisket, burnt ends, and broccoli salad were so good, I'd bump it up to a 5/5. The service is also pretty fast despite the long line, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a Texas BBQ spot, with wooden tables, lively chatter, and delicious meat served on red trays.

I got Masala fries, Aloo Cholay and butter naan to start. Putting the Cholay on the fries was an amazing combination. Of course I had to make little naan tacos with the Cholay on the naan. For my main course, I ordered Lamb chops with Mango Lassi to drink. The lamb chops are very juicy and favorable, and the spiciest food out of what I ordered. The Mango Lassi is more yogurt forward than mango forward - at first it was a little off-putting, but by the end of the glass, I loved it. Don't expect a super sugary Lassi, as is common at other places. The staff was really friendly and the manager even came by to ask if everything was going okay. This place is definitely a 5/5, next time I'm in Dallas I'll be coming back.

We started off with some Masala fries, which honestly were better than what we expected. Hot, fresh, crispy, and heavily seasoned. Our waitress recommended the Beef Bihari as the BBQ skewer that is most frequently ordered. Unfortunately, the texture was very off putting despite the flavors being there. I know that sometimes when meats are over-marinated, usually in plain yogurt, the meat can sometimes turn very mushy, which is what happened here. The Boneless Chicken Seekh Kebab was delicious (even though a few pieces had some of that mushy texture also). The ground Chicken Boti Kebab was probably the most delicious thing we ordered. All three meats were heavily enjoyed when eaten with the Puri Puratha fried bread, sliced cucumber and red onion side condiments, and the table-side chutneys. The waiter who cleared our table asked how everything was and we spoke highly of the parts of the meal that we enjoyed. He appreciated the praise and offered a comp'd dessert which was very nice and unexpected. He brought us some Halwa, which at first glance seemed very unappetizing. But when we tried it, we were very much surprised. It was warm, sweet, not too sweet, and very comforting. Definitely a nice touch. When we left, we noticed some amazing looking curries on other people's tables that were hard to ignore. We'll definitely come back and give those a whirl!
