    Chopped brisket sandwich
    Rafael H.

Meh. Overpriced for what you get. First one person taking orders despite so many workers standing around. The food was ok. Fries tasted like in&out's. I got elote and it was on the cob not like traditional elote. Cornbread was decent. The sandwich was pretty big but very stingy with pickles and no they aren't out to serve yourself. Only one BBQ sauce on the table. The chopped brisket was nothing to write home about.

Mac n cheese, baked brisket beans, and torpedos

The food was outstanding, astonishing!!!! Absolutely the best sides ever as well! The lady in the front was VERY helpful since this was our first time here! Peach mule was delicious, definitely will be back!!!! The scene is chill and very calming! Love the music !!

Wow!!! What a wonderful combination of great bbq and perfect ambiance! Ten 50 hit it out of the park with this location. The glass roof is pure art and the brisket is out of this world! Nicely done folks!

Solid bbq outing! Staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind. Food was good, though I know there is better bbq around town, but I would happily go back and take family & friends here. The sides were my favorite. We really enjoyed the Mac n cheese, fried okra, and elote.

    Brisket, rolls, Mac and cheese!!

I am so happy we decided to check out this new neighborhood barbecue spot!! It was absolutely divine. We ordered the brisket, rolls and a side of Mac and cheese to go. This photo doesn't do it justice it was 10/10. Can't wait to come back!! Welcome to the neighborhood!!

YUUUSSSS THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! Welcoming atmosphere, great food, good prices, warm service. Highly recommend. It has big shoes to fill in the old Sonny Bryants spot, but they did it! Really cool seeing this place shine. I would go here every day if i could!! Try it now! I will take pics next time. If you like meat, and good sides, this is the spot! Top notch sauce, top notch bbq!

There were six of us, and we picked everything from the smoker we could see. The barbecue was everything you hope Texas BBQ will be--beautifully smoked, incredibly tasty. The meat was tender with just and every bite reminded us why Texas has earned its legendary reputation. I know claiming one barbecue joint is better than the rest of Texas is a bold statement, but after this meal, I'm willing to make it. Texas may set the gold standard for barbecue, and this place somehow manages to rise above it. If I'm back in Dallas, this will be one of my first stops. BB

I've never had BBQ this tasty, and it's on another level compared to the places I've gone to back home. I told the gentleman cooking that this was my first time, and he gave me tips on getting smaller portions so I could try more offerings. I'm glad I did because I wanted to focus on the meat! As I worked my way down the line, everyone was helpful with asking if I wanted bread, what deserts were worth trying, and closing the transaction. The workers who clean off the tables are also amazing. I was able to practice my Spanish with them. Thank you Hard Eight BBQ for making me feel welcome. I'll definitely come by again when I'm in town!

(Side note:…read morethis is ALWAYS a great place to stop for a bathroom break when you are visiting the Bishop Arts District.) We came in for a snack and, of course, left completely full. My friend absolutely loved the burnt ends. He liked them so much that after we finished the first order, he went back and got a second one, plus some brisket and elote. I thought everything was good, but I will say the menu felt a little limited. This is definitely one of those places where I am glad I finally tried it because it is part of the local DFW BBQ experience, but it is probably not somewhere I would specifically seek out again. That said, if someone wanted to go, I would go again without complaint. I DO want to try the Burndt end bloody mary!

Hey Lockhart Smokehouse!…read more (And I'm curious WHY you are called Lockhart - 'cause I used to live in Austin, TX, and going to Lockhart for BBQ was one of our favorite Friday afternoon excursions...) The vibe in this place is really great. The people are friendly. Downtown Plano is cool. The restaurant and bar area are clean, well-attended, and the food and drink are all good. So why only 3-stars? To be fair, I came here on a weeknight around 6:30pm, which is not the best way to judge a BBQ place. I will try to come back on a Friday at lunch time, and I hope things will be epic. Bottom line, I wasn't blown away by the meats! They were well cooked, but the flavor just didn't impress. The Sause (sorry, I'm a Rudy's loyalist) was tasty, but didn't blow my mind. A nice sweet + smoky flavor that worked better with the Spare Ribs than the Brisket. (Another minot note -- I know a lot of BBQ places eschew Baby Back Ribs for Spare Ribs. Lockhart only does Spare Ribs.) Would I come back? 100% Would I recommend that you go here? 100% I have to say the bartender was terrific, and the pit masters were super friendly, so no dis on the staff. I was just hoping for "oh my god" BBQ and didn't quite get there. Still a great visit.

We ordered the el jefe plate and share it between us two and still had some leftovers . I also ordered a birria taco it it was my favorite thing I ate. I would say they need to be on tables to wipe them down before the next people sit down, maybe figure some fly control & clean up/ touch up paint the walls in that front room. Will not keep me away... but would def improve the experience. This is my favorite BBQ... not just in Arlington, but anywhere. Rating: 6.5/10 Date Last Visited: 7/12/2026…read more I ordered Brisket ($35/lb), Pork Ribs ($29/lb), the Texas Twinkie ($6), and a quart of Hatch Chili Mac N Cheese ($15). The brisket and pork ribs were decent, but honestly pretty dry and lacking in flavor when compared to some other BBQ places in DFW. For the price, it's pretty similar to other BBQ in the area. The Texas Twinkie is a jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and brisket and wrapped in bacon. It was my favorite item as the cream cheese and bacon balanced out the spiciness of the jalapeño. The mac n cheese was also delicious with the perfect amount of spice. The service was great too as they made a mistake on my order and quickly corrected it. I like that this place is open daily and for dinner too. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for some BBQ, but if you're a huge fan of BBQ then I recommend going to the other top BBQ places.

This time, I had birria tacos on my mind. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - I love the Dallas Farmer's Market, and Hurtado is the perfect restaurant to occupy this space. There is a line that steadily moves, nice outdoor and indoor seating, and if you walk towards the back you can see all the smokers. If you visit on a weekend, try to arrive before noon to avoid long lines. 1 Star. Service - You place your order, take a number, and your order is brought out to you. While you don't get to see the staff cut your meat in front of you, they are very fast and efficient. There are also Hurtado staff who will clear plates off your table. Great people here. 1 Star. Food - I came for the Birria tacos. Hurtado uses their smoked brisket, which shredded and paired will all things that make Hurtado special - Mexico flavors (cilantro, onions, and that beefy consommé). I also ordered a two-meat plate with brisket and bacon burnt ends. The brisket is great (and well represented in many Yelp reviews). On this visit, the bacon burnt ends stole the spotlight. A well-seasoned and smoked pork belly cube will melt in your mouth. I washed down my meal with the Tres Leches Banana Pudding and ended an incredible meal. One last very important note, Hurtado is a great value. My two tacos, 2 meat plate, and desert were $50. P.S. I split this meal with my son. I love food but I'm not a glutton. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I've been to the OG Hurtado in Arlington, the one at Globe Life Field, but the location in the Dallas Farmers Market is my favorite of them all. Yes, I will be back! 1 Star.
